We study a generalized time‐harmonic transport equation, which appears in the Goldstein equations and allows us to model the acoustic radiation in a flow. We investigate the well‐posedness of this transport problem. The result will be established under the assumption of a Ω‐filling flow, which, in 2D, is simply equivalent to a flow that does not vanish. The approach relies on the method of characteristics, which leads to the resolution of the transport equation along the streamlines, and on general results of functional analysis. The theoretical results are illustrated with numerical results obtained with a Streamline Upwind Petrov‐Galerkin finite element scheme. 相似文献

We generalize standard Turing machines, which work in time ω on a tape of length ω, to α-machines with time α and tape length α, for α some limit ordinal. We show that this provides a simple machine model adequate for classical admissible recursion theory as developed by G. Sacks and his school. For α an admissible ordinal, the basic notions of α-recursive or α-recursively enumerable are equivalent to being computable or computably enumerable by an α-machine, respectively. We emphasize the algorithmic approach to admissible recursion theory by indicating how the proof of the Sacks–Simpson theorem, i.e., the solution of Post’s problem in α-recursion theory, could be based on α-machines, without involving constructibility theory. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the fact that the topological degree theory of Leray and Schauder may be used for the development of the topological degree theory for bounded demicontinuous (S+)-perturbations f of strongly quasibounded maximal monotone operators T in separable reflexive Banach spaces. Certain basic homotopy properties and the extension of this degree theory to (possibly unbounded) strongly quasibounded perturbations f are shown to hold. This work uses the well known embedding of Browder and Ton, and extends the work of Berkovits who developed this theory for the case T=0. Besides being an interesting mathematical problem, the existence of such a degree theory may, conceivably, become useful in situations where the use of the Leray–Schauder degree (via infinite dimensional compactness) is necessary. 相似文献

In this paper, firstly we show that the determining equations of the (1+1) dimension nonlinear differential equation with arbitrary order for the nonclassical method can be derived by the compatibility between the original equation and the invariant surface condition. Then we generalize this result to the system of the (m+1) dimension differential equations. The nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation, the (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation and the generalized Nizhnik–Novikov–Veselov equation serve as examples illustrating this method. 相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study a new system of generalized mixed quasi-variational inclusions with (A,η)-accretive operators in q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. By using the resolvent operator technique associated with (A,η)-accretive operators, we construct a new p-step iterative algorithm for solving this system of generalized mixed quasi-variational inclusions in real q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. We also prove the existence of solutions for the generalized mixed quasi-variational inclusions and the convergence of iterative sequences generated by algorithm. In this paper, we discuss the application of two-parameter alternating group explicit (TAGE) iterative method to an efficient third order variable mesh method for the solution of non-linear differential equations with integral homogeneous functions subject to natural boundary conditions. The proposed method is applicable only when the internal grid points of the solution space are odd in number. The proposed iterative method is also applicable to the integro-differential equations with singular coefficients. Comparative numerical results are given to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method. 相似文献
