The fission barriers of 256Fm and 258Fm have been analyzed in the HFB theory. The potential energy and the effective inertia parameter have been calculated in
the two-dimensional deformation space of quadrupole and octupole moments. Fission paths for various octupole moments of the
exit point from the fission barrier have been determined. The half-life along each path has been calculated. The shortest
half-lives have been obtained for the paths with reflection symmetric shapes of nuclei in both the considered isotopes. 相似文献

Charge distribution studies for heavy-mass fission products were carried out in the fast-neutron-induced fission of 232Th, 238U, 240Pu and 244Cm using radiochemical and gamma-ray spectrometric techniques. The width parameter( σZ/σA), the most probable charge/mass ( Z
P/A
P), the charge polarization (ΔZ) and the slope of charge polarization [ δ(ΔZ)/δA
′] as a function of the fragment mass (A
′) were deduced. The average charge dispersion parameter ( 〈σZ〉) and proton odd-even effect ( δp) were also obtained for these fissioning systems. The 〈σZ〉 and δp values in the fissioning systems 241Pu * and 245Cm * were determined for the first time. The δ(ΔZ)/δA
′ value is also determined for the first time in the fissioning systems 239U * , 241Pu * and 245Cm * . These data along with the literature data for even-Z fissioning systems such as 230Th * , 232Th * , 233U * , 234U * , 236U * , 238U * , 239Pu * , 240Pu*, 242Pu * , 246Cm * , 250Cf * and 252Cf(SF) are discussed in terms of nuclear structure effect and dynamics of descent from the saddle to the scission point. The
role of the excitation energy in low-energy fission is also discussed.

This study describes an experiment on investigating the properties of spontaneous fission of shortlived neutron-deficient nuclei synthesized in the reaction of complete fusion 48Ca + 204Pb = 252No*. The experiment is performed using the SHELS separator and the beam of multicharged ions at U-400 accelerator (LNR, JINR). Two activities undergoing spontaneous fission, which can be related to the ground and isomeric states of 250No nucleus, are registered. The half-lives, total kinetic energies of fission fragments, and neutron multiplicities are measured for the short-lived nuclei. The average number of neutrons per fission for the activity with t 1/2 = 5.1 ± 0.3 μs is = 4.38 ± 0.13 μs, and for nuclei with the half-life t 1/2 = 36 ± 3 μs it is xxxxx. 相似文献

The cross section for 246Cm fission induced by neutrons of energy in the range 0.1 eV-20 keV was measured by the neutron lead slowing-down spectrometer
(LSDS-100) of the Institute for Nuclear Research (INR, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow). The parameters of the resonance
area and of the fission width were evaluated for several low-lying s-wave neutron resonances. The parameters of the intermediate structure in the cross section for the subbarrier fusion of 246Cm nuclei were found. The results obtained in this way were compared with available experimental data and with recommended
evaluated data. 相似文献

The total cross sections for 197Au and 203Tl fission induced by protons of energy varied from about 200 to 1000 MeV with a step of about 100 MeV are measured. New approximations
to the energy dependences of the cross sections for the proton-induced fission of 197Au, 203Tl, natPb, and 209Bi nuclei are presented and discussed. For all of these nuclei, exponential functions are used as approximations. 相似文献

The change in the neutron single-particle structure of (1f?2p)-shell magic nuclei near the Fermi energy with an increase in the number of protons in the 1f 7/2 subshell from 0 for 48Ca to 8 for 56Ni has been investigated. Good agreement of the experimental and estimated values of the single-particle energies E nlj of the bound states of neutrons in these nuclei with the results of calculations within the dispersive optical model is obtained. 相似文献

The spectra of neutrons from the (p, n) reactions on 47Ti, 48Ti, 49Ti, 53Cr, and 54Cr nuclei were measured in the proton-energy range 7–11 MeV. The measurements were performed with the aid of a fast-neutron
spectrometer by the time-of-flight method over the base of the EGP-15 tandem accelerator of the Institute for Physics and
Power Engineering (IPPE, Obninsk). Owing to a high resolution and a high stability of the time-of-flight spectrometer used,
low-lying discrete levels could be identified reliably along with a continuum section of neutron spectra. An analysis of measured
data was performed within the statistical equilibrium and preequilibrium models of nuclear reactions. The relevant calculations
were performed by using the exact formalism of Hauser-Feshbach statistical theory supplemented with the generalized model
of a superfluid nucleus, the back-shifted Fermi gas model, and the Gilbert-Cameron composite formula for the nuclear level
density. The nuclear level densities for 47V, 48V, 49V, 53Mn, and 54Mn were determined along with their energy dependences and model parameters. The results are discussed together with available
experimental data and recommendations of model systematics. 相似文献

Model calculations were performed to interpret prompt fission neutron spectra (PFNS) of the 238
U(n, f) reaction for incident neutron energies
-18 MeV. Pre-fission (pre-saddle)
reaction neutron spectra were calculated with Hauser-Feshbach statistical model, 238
U fission and
reaction cross-section data being described consistently. The increase of the cut-off energy of (n, nf) reaction neutron spectra with excitation energy of fissioning nucleus is described. For
-9 MeV the low-energy PFNS component, which is due to the contribution of pre-fission (n, nf) neutrons, is compatible with measured data. Average energy of prefission (n, nf) neutrons is shown to be rather dependent on
. For
-18 MeV, a decrease of measured PFNS average neutron energies is interpreted. Spectra of neutrons, evaporated from fission fragments, were approximated as a sum of two Watt distributions. The reduced fission fragment velocity is assumed for the neutron emission during fragment acceleration. Several interpretations of observed soft neutron excess are investigated, i.e., possible uncertainties of emissive fission contributions and additional neutron source. We claim the soft neutron excess cannot be attributed to the
pre-saddle neutrons contribution.Received: 3 February 2003, Revised: 24 April 2003, Published online: 9 October 2003PACS:

The cross section for 244Cm fission induced by neutrons of energy in the range between 0.07 eV and 20 keV was measured by using the lead slowing-down
spectrometer (LSDS-100) of the Institute for Nuclear Research (Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow). The parameters of the
resonance areas were determined for the lowest eight s-wave neutron resonances, and the respective fission widths were evaluated. Also, the parameters of the intermediate structure
in the cross section for the subbarrier fission of 244Cm nuclei were evaluated. The results were compared with available data and recommendations based on evaluations. 相似文献

An experiment has been carried out to study neutron-neutron angular correlations in spontaneous fission of 252Cf. Angular dependences of the number of neutron-neutron coincidences obtained in the experiment were compared with the results of the Monte Carlo calculations for various neutron detection thresholds in the range 425–1600 keV. It was inferred that 10–11% of the total number of prompt neutrons from 252Cf (s.f.) in the laboratory system were emitted isotropically and may probably be interpreted as neutrons directly associated with the instant of scission of the nucleus. The analysis allowed their energy distribution to be determined as well. A similar method was also used to describe the angular correlation of prompt neutrons that accompanied the reaction 235U(n th ,f). 相似文献

The mass-energy distributions and cross sections of proton-induced fission of 232Th have been measured at the proton energies of 7, 10, 13, 20, 40, and 55 MeV. Experiments were carried out at the proton beam of the K-130 cyclotron of the JYFL Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyväskylä and U-150m cyclotron of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The yields of fission fragments in the mass range A = 60–170 a.m.u. have been measured up to the level of 10?4%. The three humped shape of the mass distribution up has been observed at higher proton energies. The contribution of the symmetric component grows up with increasing proton incident energy; although even at 55 MeV of proton energy the shoulders in the mass energy distribution clearly indicate the asymmetric fission peaks. Evolution of shell structure was observed in the fission fragment mass distributions even at high excitation energy. 相似文献
