Synthese und Struktur C,N‐difunktionalisierter Sulfinimidamide

Synthesis and Structure of C,N‐difunctionalized Sulfinimideamides Sulfurdiimides RN=S=NR ( 1 a , b ) react in diethyl ether with two equivalents of lithiummethyl to give dimeric C,N‐dilithiummethylenesulfinimideamide ether adducts {Li₂[H₂C–S(NR)₂ · Et₂O]}₂ ( 2 a , b ) ( a : R = ^tBu, b : R = SiMe₃). Metathesis of 2 b with four equivalents of Me₃SiCl, Me₃SnCl or Ph₃SnCl yields the corresponding C,N‐bis‐substituted sulfinimideamides R₃EH₂C–S[N(SiMe₃)₂]NER₃ ( 3 – 5 ) ( 3 : R = Me, E = Sn; 4 : R = Ph, E = Sn; 5 : R = Me, E = Si). The crystal structures of 2 a and 2 b were determined by X‐ray structure analysis. Both compounds form centrosymmetric cage structures consisting of two distorted face sharing cubes ( 2 a : space group P1 (No. 2); Z = 2 (4 · 0,5); 2 b : space group C2/c (No. 15), Z = 4).     

NMR spectral assignments of a new chlorotryptamine alkaloid and its analogues from Acacia confusa

A new chlorotryptamine alkaloid, N-chloromethyl-N,N-dimethyltryptamine, was isolated from a methanol extract of the Chinese shrub Acacia confusa Merr., together with its known hallucinogenic analogues, N-methyltryptamine, N,N-dimethyltryptamine and N,N-dimethyltryptamine-N-oxide. The new compound was an artefact of the isolation conditions. The complete (1)H and (13)C NMR assignments for these compounds were carried out using (1)H, (13)C, DEPT, gCOSY, gHSQC and gHMBC NMR experiments.     

Analysis of amides in the air by sampling with SPME and detection by GC-FID

This paper proposes a solid-phase microextraction (SPME) method for the passive sampling and determination of N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) in air by capillary GC with flame ionization detection. The optimized conditions for SPME method were grab sampling, polydimethylsiloxane/divinylbenzene fiber, extraction for 90 min at 25 +/- 2 degrees C, desorption for 3 min at 220 degrees C, and relative humidity 45 +/- 2%. Under these conditions, the method presented good linearity (R = 0.996), repeatability (%RSD 2.79 and 9.85 for DMF and DMA, respectively), and detection limit (0.021 and 0.024 mg/m3 for DMF and DMA, respectively).     

Screening of N,N‐bidentate and N,N,N‐tridentate pyridine‐based ligands in the catalytic allylic oxidation of cyclic olefins

A variety of chiral N,N‐bidentate and N,N,N‐tridentate ligands based on the pyridine framework, namely C2‐symmetric dipyridylmethane and terpyridine, N‐(p‐toluensulfinyl)iminopyridines and two kinds of iminopyridines, has been assessed in the asymmetric copper(I)‐catalysed allylic oxidation of cyclic olefins. Catalytic activity and enantioselectivity were found to be highly dependent upon the framework of the ligands, which afforded cycloalkenyl benzoates in low to moderate yields and enantioselectivities. The best yields (up to 70%) and enantioselectivities (up to 53% enantiomeric excess) were obtained with an iminopyridine based on camphane and quinoline skeletons. Improved Syntheses of N‐Desmethylcitalopram and N,N‐Didesmethylcitalopram

An improved and efficient synthesis of N‐desmethylcitalopram (2) and N,N‐didesmethylcitalopram (3) is presented. The method involved N‐demethylation of citalopram (1) using 1‐chloroethyl chloroformate to give 2 in 87% yield. Synthesis of 3 was accomplished by alkylation of 8 with 1‐(3‐bromopropyl)‐2,2,5,5‐tetramethyl‐1‐aza‐2,5‐disilacyclopentane (9).
