Generating desired states is a prerequisite in quantum information. Some desired states can be generated by a quantum-scissors device(QSD). We present a detailed analysis of the properties of the generated states, including average photon numbers and intensity gains. The theoretical analysis shows that there is a nondeterministic amplification in terms of the average photon number under the condition that the average photon number of the input state is less than 1. In contrast to the input states, the generated states show the nonclassical property described by the negativity of the Wigner function. Furthermore, we generalize the QSD to truncate arbitrary photon number terms of the input states, which may be useful in high-dimensional quantum information processing.  相似文献

Modelling the chaotic states in terms of the Gaussian Orthogonal Ensemble of random matrices (GOE), we investigate the interaction of the GOE with regular bound states. The eigenvalues of the latter may or may not be embedded in the GOE spectrum. We derive a generalized form of the Pastur equation for the average Green’s function. We use that equation to study the average and the variance of the shift of the regular states, their spreading width, and the deformation of the GOE spectrum non-perturbatively. We study the dynamics of entanglement and teleportation in Bell-diagonal states. Using the concepts of concurrence and fidelity, the analytical expressions of the entanglement, the output entanglement and the average fidelity with decoherence are obtained for this model. We discover a class of initial states in which the output entanglement and the average fidelity are destroyed by decoherence. The quality of teleportation depends on the system parameters and time.  相似文献

We study the spin edge states, induced by the combined effect of Bychkov-Rashba spinorbit and Zeeman interactions or of Dresselhaus spin-orbit and Zeeman interactions in a twodimensional electron system, exposed to a perpendicular quantizing magnetic field and restricted by a hard-wall confining potential. We derive an exact analytical formula for the dispersion relations of spin edge states and analyze their energy spectrum versus the momentum and the magnetic field. We calculate the average spin components and the average transverse position of electron. It is shown that by removing the spin degeneracy, spin-orbit interaction splits the spin edge states not only in the energy but also induces their spatial separation. Depending on the type of spin-orbit coupling and the principal quantum number, the Zeeman term in the combination with spin-orbit interaction increases or decreases essentially the splitting of bulk Landau levels while it has a weak influence on the spin edge states.  相似文献

We investigate the relationship between the exact second-order cross section in QCD and the dipole cascade model as implemented in ARIADNE. We show that there is generally good agreement (very good in case one would average over different states in phase space). The relation between the probabilities to produce some states depends upon the way the recoil problems are treated in the cascade. We exhibit some observable consequences of the interference effects between different colour ordering in the states.  相似文献

The density of states of Dirac fermions with a random mass on a two‐dimensional lattice is considered. We give the explicit asymptotic form of the single‐electron density of states as a function of both energy and (average) Dirac mass, in the regime where all states are localized. We make use of a weak‐disorder expansion in the parameter g/m2, where g is the strength of disorder and m the average Dirac mass for the case in which the evaluation of the (supersymmetric) integrals corresponds to non‐uniform solutions of the saddle point equation. The resulting density of states has tails which deviate from the typical pure Gaussian form by an analytic prefactor.  相似文献

We propose a physical realization of symmetric telecloning machine for spin quantum states. The concept of area average fidelity is introduced to describe the telecloning quality. It is indicated that for certain input states this quantity may come to an enough high level to satisfy the need of quantum information processing. We also study the properties of entanglement distribution via the spin chain for arbitrary two-qubit entangled pure states as inputs and find that the decay ratio of entanglement for the output states is only determined by the parameters of spin chain and waiting time, independent of the initial input states.  相似文献

We construct nonlinear coherent states by the application of a deformed displacement operator acting upon the vacuum state and as approximate eigenstates of a deformed annihilation operator. These states are used to evaluate the temporal evolution of the average value of the momentum and the diplacement coordinate as well as their dispersions. We also construct even and odd combinations of these nonlinear coherent states and compute their second order correlation function in order to analyze their statistical behavior.  相似文献

We consider two states connected by two channels, one of which is activated but the other has no potential barrier. The height of the barrier is oscillating together with an external ac-field. We find that an external field shifts the average populations of the states and tends to equalize them. The steady-state flux circulates along the close circuit formed by these channels.  相似文献

Thermodynamics of feedback control processes, including the minimum work consumption of measurement, work extraction, and erasure processes of thermodynamic small systems have been investigated by researchers. We take systems with uncertain macroscopic states as the study object and study the feedback control processes of nonequilibrium macroscopic systems considering both the information entropy of microscopic states and macroscopic states. First we consider a system set that consists of systems with several macroscopic states and discuss the relations among the average information entropy of the system set, the thermodynamic entropy of the systems and the information entropy of macroscopic states of the systems. Then, we derive the expression of the average maximum net work obtained through feedback control, which relates to the free energy of the systems and the minimum work consumption of the measurement and erasure processes.  相似文献

We investigate the ground states of weakly interacting bosons in a rotating trap as a function of the number of bosons, N, and the average number of vortices, N(V). We identify the filling fraction nu identical with N/N(V) as the parameter controlling the nature of these states. We present results indicating that, as a function of nu, there is a zero temperature phase transition between a triangular vortex lattice phase, and strongly correlated vortex liquid phases. The vortex liquid phases appear to be the Read-Rezayi parafermion states.  相似文献

In this paper we calculate the mean number of metastable states for spin glasses on so called random thin graphs with couplings taken from a symmetric binary distribution . Thin graphs are graphs where the local connectivity of each site is fixed to some value c. As in totally connected mean field models we find that the number of metastable states increases exponentially with the system size. Furthermore we find that the average number of metastable states decreases as c in agreement with previous studies showing that finite connectivity corrections of order 1/c increase the number of metastable states with respect to the totally connected mean field limit. We also prove that the average number of metastable states in the limit is finite and converges to the average number of metastable states in the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model. An annealed calculation for the number of metastable states of energy E is also carried out giving a lower bound on the ground state energy of these spin glasses. By making use of the theoretical framework presented by Bostroem(K.J.Bostroem,LANL quant-ph/0009052),we generalize the standard quantum information theory of block messages with fixed block length to the variable one.We show that the states belonging to a sufficiently large hilbert space are the highly distinguishable states.We also consider the collection states (product states of more than one qubit state) and seek a “pretty good measurement” (PGM) with measurement vectors to improve the mutual information.The average mutual information over random block-message ensembles with variable block length n is discussed in detail.  相似文献

We show that entanglement guarantees difficulty in the discrimination of orthogonal multipartite states locally. The number of pure states that can be discriminated by local operations and classical communication is bounded by the total dimension over the average entanglement. A similar, general condition is also shown for pure and mixed states. These results offer a rare operational interpretation for three abstractly defined distancelike measures of multipartite entanglement.  相似文献

For secure quantum teleportation (SQT) of coherent states two conditions are necessary to be fulfilled: Gaussian-state resources with two-way steering and teleportation fidelity higher than 2/3. We investigate and compare squeezed thermal states and squeezed vacuum states as initial resource states for SQT in an open quantum system, consisting of two uncoupled harmonic oscillators interacting with a thermal environment. The evolution of the open system is obtained in terms of the covariance matrix, by using the Gorini-Kossakowski-Lindblad-Sudarshan master equation. The SQT conditions are satisfied in a longer period of time in the case of initial squeezed vacuum states, therefore these states are better resource states for SQT than squeezed thermal states. We show that the admissible time for SQT decreases by increasing temperature, dissipation coefficient and average number of thermal photons, while for greater values of the squeezing parameter, SQT conditions are satisfied in a longer period of time.  相似文献

149Sm nuclear resonant inelastic scattering was carried out in a charge density wave compound SmNiC2. We have investigated temperature dependences of the Sm partial phonon density of states and recoil-free fraction at the Sm site and the average sound velocity estimated from the Sm partial density of states. The Sm partial density of states exhibits temperature dependence, suggesting that the phonon modes between 20 and 25 meV may correlate with the charge density wave. Temperature dependence of the recoil-free fraction is difficult to prove the correlation with either the charge density wave or ferromagnetic ordering. The average sound velocity obtained by the Sm partial phonon density of states exhibits temperature dependence, agreeing qualitatively with very recent elastic constant measurements.  相似文献

We present a characterisation of the two-site marginals of exchangeable and Bose-exchangeable states and provide an elementary proof for the qubit case. A link between the ground state problem for ferromagnetic mean-field models and the additivity of the maximal two-norm for quantum channels is established. We then analyse the corrections on N-particle symmetric states with respect to the exchangeable ones. The finite-size effects on the average ground state energy of the BCS model are explicitly computed.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic dynamics of self-driven vehicles in a loop using a car-following model with the consideration of volume exclusions. In particular, we derive the dynamical steady states for the single-cluster case and obtain the corresponding fundamental diagrams, exhibiting two branches representative of entering and leaving the jam, respectively. By simulations we find that the speed average over all vehicles eventually reaches the same value, regardless of final clustering states. The autocorrelation functions for overall speed average and single-vehicle speed are studied, each revealing a unique time scale. We also discuss the role of noises in vehicular accelerations. Based on our observations we give trial definitions about the degree of chaoticity for general self-driven many-body systems.  相似文献

We study the Anderson model of localisation at the metal-insulator transition in the band centre of three-dimensional disordered samples. For the critical disorder we determine a large number of wave functions of the model and study the distribution of the wave function amplitudes. Deviations from scaling of multifractal correlation functions allow us to discriminate anomalously localised states from the usual critical states. The thus identified anomalously localised states lead to deviations of the critical properties and should be eliminated from the ensemble average for a characterisation of criticality.  相似文献
