New constributions to the KL→π0e+e amplitude are presented. Short-distance penguin induced diagrams for the s→dγ1 transition supplement the previously considered electromagnetic penguin. The new CP-violating amplitude corresponds to a new piece of the relevant anomalous dimension matrix. Strong interaction corrections to the new part of the effective hamiltonian are calculated in the leading logarithmic approximation. The role of subleading terms is also discussed.  相似文献

Excited electrons, e1's, have been searched for by making use of the processes e+e→e+eγγ and eγ(e) (quasi-real Compton scattering). From the former process, we have obtained the lower limit for the mass of e1', 27.9 GeV/c. A good agreement with QED is observed in the latter process, and new upper limits have been set for the coupling strength λ as a function of the mass of e1.  相似文献

The (e, e′γ) coincidence reaction is considered in detail. The formalism is developed in a way which emphasizes the connection between this reaction and studies of the scattering of (possibly polarized) electrons from polarized nuclei. A wide variety of examples is given to demonstrate the usefulness of the (e, e′γ) reaction for nuclear structure studies and to demonstrate how this reaction serves as both a complement and a supplement to electron scattering from polarized nuclei. Vector-boson loop corrections to the ϱ-parameter are considered for vector-boson self-interactions following from global SU(2)WI broken by electromagnetism. Minimizing the degree of divergence of the ϱ-parameter restricts the free trilinear vector-boson self-couplings to a single one, the anomalous magnetic dipole moment, κ, of the W+-. The analysis of e+eW+W shows that this process is well suited for accurately determining this remaining free parameter, κ.  相似文献

The reaction e+e → ηπ+π has been studied with the Neutral Detector in the CM energy range 1.05–1.40 GeV at VEPP-2M. At the maximum energy the cross section exceeds the prediction of the vector dominance with one ϱ(770). The following upper limits for the electron width times branching ratio into ηπ+π have been obtained for a resonance with a mass of 1.28 GeV and width of 0.08 GeV observed with the Omega-spectrometer at CERN: Λee·Bηππ < 9 eV, and for a ϱ′(1250) with a mass of 1.26 GeV and width of 0.125 GeV: Λee·Bηππ < 14 eV at 90% confidence level.  相似文献

We present the theoretical predictions up to QCD next-to-leading order for the cross section of high-mass electron-muon pair production at the Tevatron and at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), considering only the dominant contributions from the third-generation sneutrino. The dependence of the renormalization and factorization scales on the total cross section, and the effects on the K-factor due to the uncertainty of parton distribution function are carefully investigated. By considering soft-gluon resummation effects to all orders in as of leading logarithm, we present the transverse momentum distributions of the final eμ pair.  相似文献

Using recently published, high-precision π + π ? cross section data by the BABAR experiment from the analysis of e + e ? events with high-energy photon radiation in the initial state, we reevaluate the lowest order hadronic contribution $(a_{\mu}^{\mathrm{had},\mathrm{LO}})$ to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. We employ newly developed software featuring improved data interpolation and averaging, more accurate error propagation and systematic validation. With the new data, the discrepancy between the e + e ?- and τ-based results for the dominant two-pion mode reduces from previously 2.4σ to 1.5σ in the dispersion integral, though significant local discrepancies in the spectra persist. We obtain for the e + e ?-based evaluation $a_{\mu}^{\mathrm{had},\mathrm{LO}}=(695.5\pm4.1)\times 10^{-10}$ , where the error accounts for all sources. The full Standard Model prediction of a μ differs from the experimental value by 3.2σ.  相似文献

We report on the results of the search for the e + e ?K ± K S π ? process. Data with an integrated luminosity of 1.36 pb?1 collected in experiment with a spherical neutral detector (SND) on the VEPP-2M e + e ? collider in the energy range from 1.36 to 1.38 GeV have been analyzed. The upper limits of the σ < 150 pb cross sections of the sought process have been established for an energy of 1.37 GeV at a confidence level of 90%.  相似文献

We calculate the supersymmetric O(αs) QCD corrections to the cross section e+e → q̃ij (i, j = 1,2) within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We pay particular attention to the case of the left-right squark mixing and to the renormalization of the mixing angle. The corrections due to gluino exchange turn out to be smaller than those due to gluon exchange, but they can be significant at higher energies, even for a gluino mass of a few hundred GeV.  相似文献

An inclusive approach to measuring e + e ?→π+π? cross section by the radiative-return method is discussed. This approach is substantially based on the choice of selection rules that exclude three-pion events and reduce the radiation background in the final state. Radiative corrections in the process with emission in the initial state are calculated for the DAPHNE conditions by treating the cross section form and the kinematics of the radiative process in the quasi-real electron approximation.  相似文献

The cross section for e+e → Z0Z0 with arbitrary polarizations of the leptons and bosons is calculated in the standard electroweak model including the complete one-loop virtual and soft-photon bremsstrahlung corrections. All necessary analytical formulas are presented; numerical results are discussed for the unpolarized case and for the polarization asymmetry. At LEP 200 energies the weak corrections are dominated by the self-energy of the external Z0-bosons which contributes about +15%. With increasing energy, the weak corrections decrease up to -18% at 1 TeV due to other contributions.  相似文献

The transverse nuclear response to an electromagnetic probe which is limited to create (or destroy) a particle-hole (ph) or delta-hole (Δh) pair is analyzed. Correlations of the random phase approximation (RPA) type and self-energy insertions are considered. For RPA correlations we have developed a scheme which includes explicitly the Δ and the exchange terms. Self-energy insertions over ph and Δh bubbles are studied. Several residual interactions based on a contact plus a (π + ϱ)-meson exchange potential are used. All calculations are performed in non-relativistic nuclear matter. The main effect of the Δ is to reduce the intensity over the nuclear quasi-elastic peak. Exchange RPA terms are very important, while the terms with self-energy insertions depend strongly on the residual interaction employed. Our results are compared with data for 40Ca at momentum transfer q = 410 and q = 550 MeV/c, where the longitudinal response is also briefly discussed.  相似文献

In the framework of the quark-diquark model of baryons, Λc can be considered as constituent c quark and ud diquark. In hadronizasion process baryon Λc can be produced from ud scalar diquark and c quark fragmentation. So in this work, in the lowest order of perturbative QCD, fragmentation functions c → Λc and ud → Λc are calculated and finally in the electron-positron annihilation in LEP, the inclusive cross section production of Λc is calculated about pole of z0.  相似文献
