Intensity dips in the output power of a multimode He/Ne-Laser as a function of an axial magnetic field have been measured up to a field strength of 600 Gauß. These intensity dips are appearing if the Zeeman-splitting is equal to the frequency separation of different modes. The effect is used for Zeeman-spectroscopy. A discussion of the observed phenomena is given based on Lamb's Theorie. The measured value for the Landé-Factor of the 2p 4 Ne-level isg j (2p 4)=1.3005 (±0.2%). 相似文献

The energy loss functions Im—(1/?) of amorphous and polycrystalline Selenium and Tellurium are determined from energy loss spectra of 60 keV electrons in the energy range up to 30 eV. The optical constants ?1 and ?2 are calculated from the energy loss function by Kramers Kronig analysis. The energy difference in the position of the volume plasma loss of amorphous and polycrystalline foils is compared with the calculated change in free electron plasma energy resulting from density change. Characteristic structure dependence of the optical constants are found to be similar for Selenium and Tellurium. They are discussed in terms of the results of band structure calculations. 相似文献

The calculations of the inversion population of gas lasers must take into account, that the lifetime of laser levels can differ from those of isolated atoms. This can be caused by resonance absorption if one of the laser levels is a resonant level. The3 P 1 state of Ca (τ≈0,5 msec) was populated by resonance-absorption of the intercombination line (λ=6572,8 Å). The radio-frequency-transitions between the Zeeman-sublevels of the excited state were observed by means of optical double-resonance. Because of the oscillator-strength of the intercombination line being extremely small, a second excitation method, namely with electron impact, was tried. Both methods yielded equivalent results. In order to determine theg J -value of the3 P 1-state the static magnetic field was calibrated by Zeeman-transitions in the ground state of Na, the transitions being detected by optical pumping,g J was found to be 1,50105(7) in agreement with the theoretical value 1,50108. 相似文献

Expressions for the slowly varying amplitudes and phase-difference of two undamped non-linear mechanical or electrical systems with weak coupling are developed and discussed. The method employed is the Kryloff-Bogoljuboff-approximation, according to which the differential equations of the second order for the oscillating quantities are replaced by differential equations of the first order for the amplitudes and the phase-difference. The results are in some cases compared with the results of a Runge-Kutta numerical integration by electronic digital computer. 相似文献
