In this paper, the dynamics of multibody systems with closed kinematical chains of bodies is considered. The main focus is set on non-linearity of the multibody equations with respect to the Lagrange multipliers. When closed chains are considered, loop cutting procedure is a solution to express the constraint equations associated with the loops. Dynamic equations of the multibody tree-like structure are thus completed with the constraint forces via the Lagrange multipliers. In the considered case of railway vehicles, constraints arise from the contact between the rigid wheels and the rails. Corresponding contact forces applied to the wheels appears via the Lagrange multipliers λ and the tangent creep forces as well. Resulting differential-algebraic equations can be transformed into an ODE system and then time-integrated using the coordinate partitioning method [3], when the system is linear with respect to λ. This paper presents an algorithm allowing us to solve this system in case of nonlinearities with respect to λ, which is typical of wheel/rail contact force models. (© 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. This paper is concerned with the robust stability for linear time-varying differential-algebraic equations. We consider the systems under the effect of uncertain dynamic perturbations. A formula of the structured stability radius is obtained. The result is an extension of a previous result for time-varying ordinary differential equations proven by Birgit Jacob [B. In this paper, we investigate oscillation properties of discrete trigonometric systems whose coefficients matrices are simultaneously symplectic and orthogonal. The main result generalizes a necessary and sufficient condition of non-oscillation of trigonometric systems proved by M. Bohner and O. Do?lý (J. Differential Equations 163 (2000), pp. 113–129) in the case when the block in the upper right corner of the coefficient matrix is symmetric and positive definite. Now, we present this oscillation criterion for an arbitrary trigonometric system. The obtained results are applied to formulate a necessary and sufficient condition for non-oscillation of even-order Sturm–Liouville difference equations.  相似文献

This paper is addressed to some questions concerning the exponential stability and its robustness measure for linear time-varying differential-algebraic systems of index 1. First, the Bohl exponent theory that is well known for ordinary differential equations is extended to differential-algebraic equations. Then, it is investigated that how the Bohl exponent and the stability radii with respect to dynamic perturbations for a differential-algebraic system depend on the system data. The paper can be considered as a continued and complementary part to a recent paper on stability radii for time-varying differential-algebraic equations [N.H. Du, V.H. Linh, Stability radii for linear time-varying differential-algebraic equations with respect to dynamic perturbations, J. Differential Equations 230 (2006) 579-599].  相似文献

A boundary-value problem for a class of singularly perturbed systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations is considered. An analytic-numerical method for solving this problem is proposed. The method combines the operational Newton method with the method of continuation by a parameter and construction of the initial approximation in an explicit form. The method is applied to the particular system arising when simulating the interaction of physical fields in a semiconductor diode. The Frechét derivative and the Green function for the corresponding differential equation are found analytically in this case. Numerical simulations demonstrate a high efficiency and superexponential rate of convergence of the method proposed. __________ Translated from Sovremennaya Matematika. The paper carries the results on Takens-Bogdanov bifurcation obtained in [T. Faria, L.T. Magalhães, Normal forms for retarded functional differential equations and applications to Bogdanov-Takens singularity, J. Differential Equations 122 (1995) 201-224] for scalar delay differential equations over to the case of delay differential systems with parameters. Firstly, we give feasible algorithms for the determination of Takens-Bogdanov singularity and the generalized eigenspace associated with zero eigenvalue in Rn. Next, through center manifold reduction and normal form calculation, a concrete reduced form for the parameterized delay differential systems is obtained. Finally, we describe the bifurcation behavior of the parameterized delay differential systems with T-B singularity in detail and present an example to illustrate the results.  相似文献

Some initial-boundary-value problems for a system of quasilinear partial differential equations of gas dynamics with the initial data prescribed on the characteristic surface (characteristic Cauchy problem) are considered. The following three-dimensional flow problems are investigated: the flow produced by a motion of an impermeable piston; the flow produced by a permeable piston with a given pressure; and the flow produced by the moving free boundary. In the first two problems, the piston motion is prescribed; in the last problem, the free boundary motion cannot be prescribed in advance and must be determined as a part of the problem. It is shown that those problems can be reduced to a characteristic Cauchy problem of a certain standard type that satisfies the analog of Cauchy-Kowalewski's existence theorem in the class of analytical functions (Differential Equations 12 (1977) 1438-1444). Thus, it is proved that, in the case of the analyticity of the input data, the considered problems have unique piecewise analytic solutions which may be expressed by infinite power series (the procedure of constructing the power series solution is described in Differential Equations 12 (1977) 1438-1444 as a part of the proof of the theorem).  相似文献

Certain almost periodic perturbation systems are considered in this paper. By using the roughness theory of exponential dichotomies and the contraction mapping principle, some sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence and uniqueness of almost periodic solution of the above systems. In this work, we give a new stability criterion for planar periodic Hamiltonian systems, improving the results from the literature. The method is based on an application of the Floquet theory recently established in [J.J. DaCunha, J.M. Davis, A unified Floquet theory for discrete, continuous, and hybrid periodic linear systems, J. Differential Equations 251 (2011) 2987–3027], and the use of a new definition for a generalized zero. The results obtained not only unify the related continuous and discrete ones but also provide sharper stability criteria for the discrete case.  相似文献

Pliss, Integral Sets of Periodic Systems of Differential Equations, Nauka, Moskow, 1977 (in Russian)] is proved for EPCAG. The structure of the set of solutions is specified. We improve, simplify, and extend on quasi-linear case some results on asymptotical stability of ordinary second-order differential equations with complex-valued coefficients obtained in our previous paper [G.R. Hovhannisyan, Asymptotic stability for second-order differential equations with complex coefficients, Electron. J. Differential Equations 2004 (85) (2004) 1–20]. To prove asymptotic stability of second-order differential equations, we establish stability estimates using integral representations of solutions via asymptotic solutions and error estimates. To model transmission lines effects in integrated circuits, we couple the network equations for the circuits with the telegrapher's equations for the transmission lines. This results in an initial/boundary value problem for a mixed system of Differential-Algebraic Equations (DAEs) and hyperbolic Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). By semidiscretization the system is transformed into differential-algebraic equations in time only. We apply this modeling approach to a CMOS ring oscillator, an oscillatory circuit with transmission lines as coupling units, and discuss the simulation results.  相似文献
