This paper investigates nonlinear normal modes and their superposition in a two degrees of freedom asymmetric system with cubic nonlinearities for all nonsingular conditions, based on the invariant subspace in nonlinear normal modes for the nonlinear equations of motion. The focus of attention is to consider relation between the validity of superposition and the static bifurcation of modal dynamics. The numerical results show that the validity has something to do not only with its local restriction, but also with the static bifurcation of modal dynamics. 众所周知,平面自治系统即使具有光滑非线性存在,系统也不会出现复杂的动力学行为。本文研究这样的系统存在时滞时,时滞量对系统的动力学行为的影响。通过对一个平面自治非线性系统引入时滞反馈,得到数学模型。利用泛函分析和平均法建立系统平衡态随时滞量变化的失稳机理,研究表明:时滞量平面自治系统动力学行为的影响是本质的.时滞量不但可以使系统出现Hopf分岔,产生周期振动。而且还可以使系统出现多稳态的周期运动或周期吸引子,这些共存的吸引子相碰是导致系统复杂的动力学行为,包括概周期和混沌运动。  相似文献

In this paper, to better reveal the surface effect and the screening effect as well as the nonlinear multi-field coupling characteristic of the multifunctional piezoelectric semiconductor (PS) nanodevice, and to further improve its working performance, a magneto-mechanical-thermo coupling theoretical model is theoretically established for the extensional analysis of a three-layered magneto-electro-semiconductor coupling laminated nanoplate with the surface effect. Next, by using the current theoretical model, some numerical analyses and discussion about the surface effect, the corresponding critical thickness of the nanoplate, and the distributions of the physical fields (including the electron concentration perturbation, the electric potential, the electric field, the average electric displacement, the effective polarization charge density, and the total charge density) under different initial state electron concentrations, as well as their active manipulation via some external magnetic field, pre-stress, and temperature stimuli, are performed. Utilizing the nonlinear multi-field coupling effect induced by inevitable external stimuli in the device operating environment, this paper not only provides theoretical support for understanding the size-dependent tuning/controlling of carrier transport as well as its screening effect, but also assists the design of a series of multiferroic PS nanodevices.

In this paper, we analyze the nonlinear dynamic response of an orthotropic laminate in a simply supported boundary condition subject to thermal and mechanical loading. The equation of motion for the laminate’s deflection is obtained in a decoupled Duffing equation by means of a Galerkin-type method without Berger’s approximations. The Duffing equation incorporates an arbitrary thermal field, with both the in-plane and transverse temperature variations in a steady-state and a transient state. The formulation indicates that the transverse temperature variation produces an additional pressure load, while the in-plane temperature variation affects the system frequency. The equation allows for characterization of the laminate behaviors in nonlinear thermal buckling, thermal vibration and thermal mechanical response.  相似文献

A new kind of nonlinearity of inertial type caused by accelerated motionof interacting particles is described. The model deals with an ensembleof grains immersed into a vibrating fluid. First, the nonlinearvibration of two connected grains is studied. The temporal behaviours ofdisplacement and velocity, as well as spectrum of vibration, areanalysed. Numerical simulations are performed. Then an infinite chain ofgrains is considered and the corresponding differential-differenceequation is derived. For the continuum limit the inhomogeneous nonlinearwave equation is solved and temporal profiles are calculated. A newresonant phenomenon is described and the resonant curves areconstructed.  相似文献

A simple mechanical system containing a low-frequency vibration mode andset of high-frequency acoustic modes is considered. The frequencyresponse is calculated. Nonlinear behaviour and interaction betweenmodes is described by system of functional equations. Two types ofnonlinearities are taken into account. The first one is caused by thefinite displacement of a movable boundary, and the second one is thevolume nonlinearity of gas. New mathematical models based on nonlinearequations are suggested.
