In this paper, we show that the eigenvalues of are nondecreasing under the Ricci flow for manifolds with nonnegative curvature operator. Then we show that the only steady Ricci breather with nonnegative curvature operator is the trivial one which is Ricci-flat.  相似文献

Variable-weight optical orthogonal code (OOC) was introduced by Yang for multimedia optical CDMA systems with multiple quality of service requirements. It is proved that optimal (v, {3, 4}, 1, (1/2, 1/2))-OOCs exist for some complete congruence classes of v. In this paper, for ${Q \in \{(1/3, 2/3), (2/3, 1/3)\}}$ , by using skew starters, it is also proved that optimal (v, {3, 4}, 1, Q)-OOCs exist for some complete congruence classes of v.  相似文献

In this note, we shall give conditions which guarantee that \(\frac{1-q^b}{1-q^a}\Big [\begin{array}{l} n\\ m\\ \end{array}\Big ]\in \mathbb {Z}[q]\) holds. We shall provide a full characterisation for \(\frac{1-q^b}{1-q^a}\Big [\begin{array}{l} ka\\ m\\ \end{array}\Big ]\in \mathbb {Z}[q]\). This unifies a variety of results already known in literature. We shall prove new divisibility properties for the binomial coefficients and a new divisibility result for a certain finite sum involving the roots of the unity.  相似文献

The article on hand deals with the continued fraction $$\frac{1 |}{| z } +\frac{1 |}{| 1 } + \frac{2 |}{| z } +\frac{3 |}{| 1 } + \frac{4 |}{| z} + \cdots.$$ The famous Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan has given a pre-presentation by a power series, but he however concealed a proof. Matrix-valued spherical functions related to the quantum symmetric pair for the quantum analogue of \((\mathrm{SU}(2) \times \mathrm{SU}(2), \mathrm{diag})\) are introduced and studied in detail. The quantum symmetric pair is given in terms of a quantised universal enveloping algebra with a coideal subalgebra. The matrix-valued spherical functions give rise to matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials, which are matrix-valued analogues of a subfamily of Askey–Wilson polynomials. For these matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials, a number of properties are derived using this quantum group interpretation: the orthogonality relations from the Schur orthogonality relations, the three-term recurrence relation and the structure of the weight matrix in terms of Chebyshev polynomials from tensor product decompositions, and the matrix-valued Askey–Wilson type q-difference operators from the action of the Casimir elements. A more analytic study of the weight gives an explicit LDU-decomposition in terms of continuous q-ultraspherical polynomials. The LDU-decomposition gives the possibility to find explicit expressions of the matrix entries of the matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials in terms of continuous q-ultraspherical polynomials and q-Racah polynomials.  相似文献

In the present paper, we construct the traveling wave solutions involving parameters for some nonlinear evolution equations in the mathematical physics via the (2+1)-dimensional Painlevé integrable Burgers equations, the (2+1)-dimensional Nizhnik-Novikov-Vesselov equations, the (2+1)-dimensional Boiti-Leon-Pempinelli equations and the (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equations by using a new approach, namely the ( $\frac{G'}{G})$ -expansion method, where G=G(ξ) satisfies a second order linear ordinary differential equation. When the parameters are taken special values, the solitary waves are derived from the traveling waves. The traveling wave solutions are expressed by hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational functions.  相似文献

We introduce new classes of Ramanujan-like series for \(\frac{1}{\pi }\), by devising methods for evaluating harmonic sums involving squared central binomial coefficients, such as the Ramanujan-type series

introduced in this article. While the main technique used in this article is based on the evaluation of a parameter derivative of a beta-type integral, we also show how new integration results involving complete elliptic integrals may be used to evaluate Ramanujan-like series for \(\frac{1}{\pi }\) containing harmonic numbers.

Using the properties of conformal mappings and differential equations, we develop a class of elliptic functions associated with the hypergeometric function ${_{2}}F_{1}(\frac{1}{4},\frac{3}{4};1;z)$ . A detailed comparison is made with the classical Jacobi elliptic functions. Within the frame work of this theory, we provide a proof and new insight into a set of identities of Ramanujan associated with the above hypergeometric function.  相似文献
