A criterion for subcoalgebras to be invariant under the adjoint action is given generalizing Masuoka’s criterion for normal Hopf subalgebras. At the level of characters, the image of the induction functor from a normal Hopf subalgebra is isomorphic to the image of the restriction functor.  相似文献

We survey Hopf algebras and their generalizations. In particular, we compare and contrast three well-studied generalizations (quasi-Hopf algebras, weak Hopf algebras, and Hopf algebroids), and two newer ones (Hopf monads and hopfish algebras). Each of these notions was originally introduced for a specific purpose within a particular context; our discussion favors applicability to the theory of dynamical quantum groups. Throughout the note, we provide several definitions and examples in order to make this exposition accessible to readers with differing backgrounds.  相似文献

Let H = X? R A denote an R-smash product of the two bialgebras X and A. We prove that (X,A) is a pair of matched bialgebras, if the R-smash product H has a braiding structure. When X is an associative algebra and A is a Hopf algebra, we investigate the global dimension and the weak dimension of the smash product H = X? R A and show that lD(H) ≤ rD(A) + lD(X) and wD(H) ≤ wD(A) + wD(X). As an application, we get lD(H 4) = ∞ for Sweedler's four dimensional Hopf algebra H 4. We also study the associativity of smash products and the relations between smash products and factorization for algebras.  相似文献

Let H be a cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field k, and π : A→ H be a surjective cocentral bialgebra homomorphism of bialgebras. The authors prove that if A is Galois over its coinvariants B=LH Ker π and B is a sub-Hopf algebra of A, then A is itself a Hopf algebra. Let S be the model of a semigroup with an associate subgroup whose identity is a medial idempotent constructed by Blyth and Martins considered as a unary semigroup. For another such semigroup T, we construct all unary homomorphisms of S into T in terms of their parameters. On S we construct all unary congruences again directly from its parameters. This construction leads to a characterization of congruences in terms of kernels and traces. We describe the K, T, L, U and V relations on the lattice of all unary congruences on S, again in terms of parameters of S.  相似文献

In this paper, the classical Galois theory to the H*-Galois case is developed. Let H be a semisimple and cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field k, A a left H-module algebra,and A/AHa right H*-Galois extension. The authors prove that, if AHis a separable kalgebra, then for any right coideal subalgebra B of H, the B-invariants A~B= {a ∈ A |b · a = ε(b)a, b∈ B} is a separable k-algebra. They also establish a Galois connection between right coideal subalgebras of H and separable subalgebras of A containing AHas in the classical case. The results are applied to the case H =(kG)*for a finite group G to get a Galois 1-1 correspondence.  相似文献

We study the group of group-like elements of a weak Hopf algebra and derive an analogue of Radford's formula for the fourth power of the antipode S, which implies that the antipode has a finite order modulo, a trivial automorphism. We find a sufficient condition in terms of Tr(S2) for a weak Hopf algebra to be semisimple, discuss relation between semisimplicity and cosemisimplicity, and apply our results to show that a dynamical twisting deformation of a semisimple Hopf algebra is cosemisimple.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study quasi-bicrossed products and a especially quantum quasi-doubles. Firstly, we construct one new kind of quasi-bicrossed products by weak Hopf algebras and then devote a brief discussion to this matter. And, we discuss the conditions for quasi-bicrossed products to possess the structure of almost weak Hopf algebras, containing the case of a special smash product. At the end, we give some properties on the quantum quasi-double, respectively on the quasi-R-isomorphism, the representation-theoretic interpretation and the regularity of the quasi-R-matrix.  相似文献

We prove that both the embedding of the category of Hopf algebras into that of bialgebras and the forgetful functor from the category of Hopf algebras to the category of algebras have right adjoints; in other words, every bialgebra has a Hopf coreflection, and on every algebra there exists a cofree Hopf algebra. In this way, we give an affirmative answer to a forty-years old problem posed by Sweedler. In this paper, we consider a finite dimensional semisimple cosemisimple quasitriangular Hopf algebra with (we call this type of Hopf algebras almost-quasitriangular) over an algebraically closed field . We define the concept of “semiprime” for preradicals and for submodules, and we prove some properties that relate both of them. Related concepts are defined in article by Bican et al. [2 Bican , L. , Jambor , P. , Kepka , T. , Nemec , P. ( 1980 ). Prime and coprime modules . Fundamenta Mathematicae CVII , 3345 . [Google Scholar]] and by Van den Berg and Wisbauer [9 Van den Berg , J. , Wisbauer , R. ( 2001 ). Duprime and dusemiprime modules . For any ring, we compare the least semiprime preradical, the Jacobson radical and the join of all nilpotent preradicals, and we characterize V-rings in terms of these three preradicals. We study the least semiprime preradical above any preradical and we prove some of its properties. Let H be a weak Hopf algebra in the sense of Böhm et al. (J Algebra 221:385–438, 1999) measuring an algebra A. Let A# σ H be a weak crossed product with σ invertible. Then in this paper we first give some conditions for A# σ H to be a weak Hopf algebra. Next the spectral sequence for Ext will be constructed which yields an estimate for the global dimension of A# σ H in terms of the corresponding data for H and A. Furthermore, we will investigate when A???A# σ H becomes a separable extension. Finally, we prove that if H and its dual H* are both semisimple, then the finitistic dimension of A# σ H is equal to that of A.  相似文献

In this paper we classify all nontrivial semisimple Hopf algebras of dimension 2 n +1 with the group of grouplikes isomorphic to 2 n–1×2. Moreover, we extend some results on irreducible representations from groups to semisimple Hopf algebras and prove that certain semisimple Hopf algebras, including the ones classified in this paper, satisfy the generalized power map property.  相似文献

Let p and q be distinct prime numbers. We prove a result on the existence of nontrivial group-like elements in a certain class of semisimple Hopf algebras of dimension pq r . We conclude the classification of semisimple Hopf algebras A of dimension pq 2 over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic zero, such that both A and A * are of Frobenius type.
