Global Existence and Exponential Decay for a Nonlinear Viscoelastic Equation with Nonlinear Damping

In this paper we investigate a nonlinear viscoelastic equation with nonlinear damping. Global existence of weak solutions and uniform decay of the energy have been established. The Faedo-Galerkin method and the perturbed energy method are employed to obtain the results.

Ground States for Singularly Perturbed Planar Choquard Equation with Critical Exponential Growth

In this paper, we are dedicated to studying the following singularly Choquard equation $$ -\varepsilon^2\Delta u+V(x)u=\varepsilon^{-\alpha}\left[I_{\alpha}\ast F(u)\right]f(u),\ \ \ \ x\in\R^2,$$ where $V(x)$ is a continuous real function on $\R^2$, $I_{\alpha}:\R^2\rightarrow\R$ is the Riesz potential, and $F$ is the primitive function of nonlinearity $f$ which has critical exponential growth. Using the Trudinger-Moser inequality and some delicate estimates, we show that the above problem admits at least one semiclassical ground state solution, for $\varepsilon>0$ small provided that $V(x)$ is periodic in $x$ or asymptotically linear as $|x|\rightarrow \infty$. In particular, a precise and fine lower bound of $\frac{f(t)}{e^{\beta_{0} t^{2}}}$ near infinity is introduced in this paper.     

A note on exponential decay properties of ground states for quasilinear elliptic equations

We give an explicit formula for exponential decay properties of ground states for a class of quasilinear elliptic equations in the whole space .

     

Exponential Decay Rate for a Timoshenko Beam with Boundary Damping

The exponential decay rate of a Timoshenko beam system with boundary damping is studied. By asymptotically analyzing the characteristic determinant of the system, we prove that the Timoshenko beam system is a Riesz system; hence, its decay rate is determined via its spectrum. As a consequence, by showing that the imaginary axis neither has an eigenvalue on it nor is an asymptote of the spectrum, we conclude that the system is exponentially stable.     

Existence of Solutions to Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations Involving N-Laplacian and Potentials Vanishing at Infinity

We study the existence of solutions for the following class of nonlinear Schrödinger equations -Δ_Nu + V (x)u=K(x)f(u) in R^N where V and K are bounded and decaying potentials and the nonlinearity f(s) has exponential critical growth. The approaches used here are based on a version of the Trudinger-Moser inequality and a minimax theorem.

随机Volterra-Levin方程的稳定性

In this paper, we investigate the exponential stability in pth moment as well as the almost surely exponential stability of solutions of stochastic Volterra-Levin equations (SVLEs in short) by the use of fixed point theorem for p ≥ 2. Our results extend and improve the corresponding results obtained in [3, 12], and the result in [12] is a special case of our results.

Decay rates for the energy of a singular nonlocal viscoelastic system

This work deals with decay rates for the energy of an initial boundary value problem with a nonlocal boundary condition for a system of nonlinear singular viscoelastic equations. We prove the decay rates for the energy of a singular one‐dimensional viscoelastic system with a nonlinear source term and nonlocal boundary condition of relaxation kernels described by the inequality $g_i^{\prime }\left(t\right)\le ?H\left(g_i\left(t\right)\right),\left(i=1,2\right)$ for all t ≥ 0, with H convex.     

Exponential Decay of Energy for a Logarithmic Wave Equation

In this paper we consider the initial boundary value problem for a class of logarithmic wave equation. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov function, we obtain the decay estimates of energy for the logarithmic wave equation with linear damping and some suitable initial data. The results extend the early results.     

The Decay Rates of Strong Solutions for Navier-Stokes Equations

In this paper, we deduce the estimates on decay rates of higher order derivatives about time variable and space variables for the strong solution to the Cauchy problem of the Navier-Stokes equations. The rate obtained is optimal in the sense that it coincides with that of solution to the heat equation.

研究具有反馈控制力的Timoshenko梁的能量衰减．证明了梁的能量不是一致衰减的．当梁的能量不是一致衰减时,利用初始值的正则性和无阻尼问题的最佳正则性结果,给出了多项式衰减估计．     

Affine-Periodic Solutions and Pseudo Affine-Periodic Solutions for Differential Equations with Exponential Dichotomy and Exponential Trichotomy

It is proved that every $(Q,T)$-affine-periodic differential equation has a $(Q,T)$-affine-periodic solution if the corresponding homogeneous linear equation admits exponential dichotomy or exponential trichotomy. This kind of ``periodic'' solutions might be usual periodic or quasi-periodic ones if $Q$ is an identity matrix or orthogonal matrix. Hence solutions also possess certain symmetry in geometry. The result is also extended to the case of pseudo affine-periodic solutions.     

关于非牛顿流体衰减性的一个注记

In the study of long time asymptotic behaviors of the solutions to a class system of the incompressible non-Newtonian fluid flows in R3, it is proved that the weak solutions decay in L2 norm at (1+t) and the error of difference between non-Newtonian fluid and linear equation is also investigated. The findings are mainly based on the classic Fourier splitting methods.
