We consider a nonlinear initial boundary value problem in a two-dimensional rectangle. We derive variational formulation of the problem which is in the form of an evolutionary variational inequality in a product Hilbert space. Then, we establish the existence of a unique weak solution to the problem and prove the continuous dependence of the solution with respect to some parameters. Finally, we consider a second variational formulation of the problem, the so-called dual variational formulation, which is in a form of a history-dependent inequality associated with a time-dependent convex set. We study the link between the two variational formulations and establish existence, uniqueness, and equivalence results.

Verma introduced a system of nonlinear variational inequalities and proposed projection methods to solve it. This system reduces to a variational inequality problem under certain conditions. So, at least in form, it can be regarded as a extension of a variational inequality problem. In this note, we show that solving this system coincides exactly with solving a variational inequality problem. In this article, we study the generalized split variational inclusion problem. For this purpose, motivated by the projected Landweber algorithm for the split equality problem, we first present a simultaneous subgradient extragradient algorithm and give related convergence theorems for the proposed algorithm. Next, motivated by the alternating CQ-algorithm for the split equality problem, we propose another simultaneous subgradient extragradient algorithm to study the general split variational inclusion problem. As applications, we consider the split equality problem, split feasibility problem, split variational inclusion problem, and variational inclusion problem in Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we use the η-approximation method for a class of non-convex multiobjective variational problems with invex functionals. In this approach, for the considered multiobjective variational problem, the associated η-approximated multiobjective variational problem is constructed at the given feasible solution. The equivalence between (weakly) e?cient solutions in the original multiobjective variational problem and its associated η-approximated multiobjective variational problem is established under invexity hypotheses.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce weighted variational inequalities over product of sets and system of weighted variational inequalities. It is noted that the weighted variational inequality problem over product of sets and the problem of system of weighted variational inequalities are equivalent. We give a relationship between system of weighted variational inequalities and systems of vector variational inequalities. We define several kinds of weighted monotonicities and establish several existence results for the solution of the above-mentioned problems under these weighted monotonicities. We introduce also the weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets, that is, weighted variational inequalities for multivalued maps and systems of weighted generalized variational inequalities. Extensions of weighted monotonicities for multivalued maps are also considered. The existence of a solution of weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets is also studied. The existence results for a solution of weighted generalized variational inequality problem give also the existence of solutions of systems of generalized vector variational inequalities. In this paper,the Uzawa iteration algorithm is applied to the Stokes problem with nonlinear slip boundary conditions whose variational formulation is the variational inequality of the second kind.Firstly, the multiplier in a convex set is introduced such that the variational inequality is equivalent to the variational identity.Moreover,the solution of the variational identity satisfies the saddle-point problem of the Lagrangian functional ?.Subsequently,the Uzawa algorithm is proposed to solve the solution of the saddle-point problem. We show the convergence of the algorithm and obtain the convergence rate.Finally,we give the numerical results to verify the feasibility of the Uzawa algorithm.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study an iterative method to approximate a common solution of split variational inclusion problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive mapping in real Hilbert spaces. Further, we prove that the sequences generated by the proposed iterative method converge strongly to a common solution of split variational inclusion problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive mapping which is the unique solution of the variational inequality problem. The results presented in this paper are the supplement, extension and generalization of the previously known results in this area.  相似文献

本文以弹性力学中的摩擦问题为背景,采用多重互易方法(MRM方法),边界元方法,将摩擦问题中的第二类混合变分不等式化解为MRM-边界混合变分不等式,给出了MRM-边界混合变分不等式解的存在唯—性,通过引入变换将原MRM-边界混合变分不等式化解为标准的凸极值问题,采用正则化方法处理后,给出了MRM-边界混合变分不等式的迭代分解方法。文末给出了数值算例。  相似文献

Whether or not the general asymmetric variational inequality problem can be formulated as a differentiable optimization problem has been an open question. This paper gives an affirmative answer to this question. We provide a new optimization problem formulation of the variational inequality problem, and show that its objective function is continuously differentiable whenever the mapping involved in the latter problem is continuously differentiable. We also show that under appropriate assumptions on the latter mapping, any stationary point of the optimization problem is a global optimal solution, and hence solves the variational inequality problem. We discuss descent methods for solving the equivalent optimization problem and comment on systems of nonlinear equations and nonlinear complementarity problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an extension of the notion of well-posedness by perturbations, introduced by Zolezzi for a minimization problem, to a mixed variational inequality problem in a Banach space. We establish some metric characterizations of the well-posedness by perturbations. We also show that under suitable conditions, the well-posedness by perturbations of a mixed variational inequality problem is equivalent to the well-posedness by perturbations of a corresponding inclusion problem and a corresponding fixed point problem. Also, we derive some conditions under which the well-posedness by perturbations of a mixed variational inequality is equivalent to the existence and uniqueness of its solution.  相似文献

The variational inequality problem is reduced to an optimization problem with a differentiable objective function and simple bounds. Theoretical results are proved, relating stationary points of the minimization problem to solutions of the variational inequality problem. Perturbations of the original problem are studied and an algorithm that uses the smooth minimization approach for solving monotone problems is defined.  相似文献

We consider optimization methods for monotone variational inequality problems with nonlinear inequality constraints. First, we study the mixed complementarity problem based on the original problem. Then, a merit function for the mixed complementarity problem is proposed, and some desirable properties of the merit function are obtained. Through the merit function, the original variational inequality problem is reformulated as simple bounded minimization. Under certain assumptions, we show that any stationary point of the optimization problem is a solution of the problem considered. Finally, we propose a descent method for the variational inequality problem and prove its global convergence.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to image denoising problems using multiresolution schemes related to variational problems. We start with the linear approach of Donoho and Johnstone, that is related to a well known diffusion‐type variational problem. In order to improve the behavior of this approach, we propose some new nonlinear variational problems more adapted to the problem of denoising. Moreover, the discretization is performed using nonlinear multiresolution schemes. In particular, we obtain some fast and well adapted schemes for the considered problem of denoising.  相似文献

We study the new variational inequality problem, called the Common Solutions to Variational Inequalities Problem (CSVIP). This problem consists of finding common solutions to a system of unrelated variational inequalities corresponding to set-valued mappings in Hilbert space. We present an iterative procedure for solving this problem and establish its strong convergence. The basic idea of performing a partial minimization with respect to some components in a vector variational problem, while keeping the other fixed, is explored and implemented in various examples. In one-dimensional problems, it leads sometimes to nonstandard variational problems. We introduced and studied the concept of well-posedness to a generalized mixed variational inequality. Some characterizations are given. Under suitable conditions, we prove that the well-posedness of the generalized mixed variational inequality is equivalent to the well-posedness of the corresponding inclusion problem. We also discuss the relations between the well-posedness of the generalized mixed variational inequality and the well-posedness of the corresponding fixed-point problem. Finally, we derive some conditions under which the generalized mixed variational inequality is well-posed.  相似文献
