10-Methoxy-2-phenylbenzo[h]quinoline (MPBQ) has been synthesized and characterized by NMR and X-ray single crystal diffraction. Both the ground and the lowest singlet excited-state geometries of MPBQ were optimized by B3LYP and ab initio CIS methods at 6-31G (d,p) level, respectively. The absorption and emission spectra of the compound were experimentally determined in CH(3)CN solution and were simultaneously computed using density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) in CH(3)CN solution. The calculated absorption and emission wavelengths were in good agreement with the experimental ones. The calculated lowest-lying absorption spectra can be mainly attributed to intramolecular charge transfer (ICT). And the calculated fluorescence spectra can be mainly described as originating from an excited state with intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) character. These results show that MPBQ exhibited excellent thermal stability and could serve as a useful photoluminescence material.  相似文献

Reaction between 6-methoxy-1-tetralone, methyl propiolate and an ammonia-saturated methanolic solution led to 5,6-dihydro-8-methoxybenzo[h]quinolin-2(1H)-one in good yields. Subsequent aromatization, chlorination, substitution and demethylation enabled us to prepare 2-amino-substituted benzo[h]quinoline derivatives. These compounds, which are structurally related to the antitumor benzo[c]phenanthridine alkaloids by deletion of a ring, were tested on cultured murine lymphoblastic leukaemia cells (L1210). Results showed that they are devoid of cytotoxicity.  相似文献

5,6-Dihydrobenzo[h]quinoline derivatives 4af and 5ac were prepared via condensation of the corresponding arylidenes 2, with 1-tetralone in the presence of ammonium acetate and sodium methoxide, respectively, following thermal, microwave and ultrasound methodologies. The yields of 4af were moderate when the latter two methodologies used, but the products were pure. Ultrasound and microwave irradiation methods were also used in the synthesis of 4-aryl-3-cyano-1,2,5,6-tetrahydro-benzo[h]quinoline-2-ones (6ae) and its analogues 7a,b. The majority of compounds 47 were synthesized via one-pot multicomponent reactions of aldehydes, active cyanomethylene compounds, 1-tetralone and ammonium acetate. Attempts to cyclocondensation of the aminocyano derivative 4a,d with acetic anhydride in presence of conc. H2SO4 failed; instead the acetylamino derivative 8 was isolated. On the other hand, refluxing of 4d with formamide in DMF led to the formation of dihydrobenzo-pyrimidoquinoline 9 giving good yield. All prepared condensates were structurally elucidated by various spectroscopic methods. Screening of the potential cytotoxicity for compounds 4af on five cell lines, namely: colorectal carcinoma (HCT-116), Hepatocellular carcinoma (HEPG2), Human breast adenocarcinoma (MCF7), Cervix adenocarcinoma (HELA) and Glioblastoma (U251), did not show any cytotoxic activity.  相似文献

The synthesis of two previously unknown unsubstituted heterocyclic ring systems namely, benzo[h][1]benzothieno[2,3-c]quinoline ( 6 ) and benzo[f][1]benzothieno[2,3-c]quinoline ( 12 ) is reported. The syntheses of the K-imine derivatives of benzo[h]quinoline ( 1 ), benzo[f]quinoline ( 2 ) and 1,10-phenanthroline ( 3 ) are described. The parent nitrogen heterocycles were oxidized with sodium hypochlorite to the corresponding K-oxides, 4, 6 and 8 , which in turn were reacted with sodium azide. The resulting azido alcohols were then cyclized with triethyl phosphite to the title compounds 5, 7 and 9 . The oxirane ring cleavage in benzo[h]quinoline 5,6-oxide ( 4 ) and in benzo[f]quinoline 5,6-oxide ( 6 ) by sodium azide proceeded by the predicted regioselectivity: 4 gave trans-5-azido-5,6-dihydro-6-benzo[h]quinolinol ( 11 ) and trans-6-azido-5,6-dihydro-5-benzo[h]quinolinol ( 10 ) as the major and minor products respectively, and 6 yielded solely trans-6-azido-5,6-dihydro-5-benzo[f]quinolinol ( 12 ). The latter compound proved by X-ray analysis to crystallize as a hydrogen bonded dimer.  相似文献

Photocyclization of 3‐chloro‐N‐(9‐phenanthryl)benzo[b]‐thiophene‐2‐carboxamide ( 3 ) and 3‐chloro‐N‐(9‐phenanthryl)‐naphtho[1,2‐b]thiophene‐2‐carboxamide ( 10 ) yielded dibenzo[f,h]benzothieno[2,3‐c]‐quinolin‐10(9H)‐one ( 4 ) and dibenzo[f,h]naphtho[2′,1′:4,5]thieno[2,3‐c]quinolin‐10(9H)‐one ( 11 ), respectively. The synthesis of two previously unknown polycyclic ring systems, benzo[h]naphtho[1′2′:4,5]-thieno[2,3-c]quinoline ( 1 ) and benzo[h]naphtho[1′,2′:4,5]thieno[2,3-c][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]quinoline ( 2 ), was achieved via oxidative photocyclization of 1-chloro-N-(1-naphthyl)naphtho[2,1-b]thiophene-2-carboxamide ( 5 ). A new strategy which involves a palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction has been developed for the rapid synthesis of 3-hydroxybenzo[c]phenanthrene (5) and 12-hydroxybenzo[g]chrysene (6). These phenolic compounds are the key intermediates for the synthesis of highly carcinogenic fjord-region diol epoxide metabolites 3 and 4 of benzo[c]phenanthrene (1) and benzo[g]chrysene (2). The cross-coupling reaction of 2-bromo-5-methoxybenzaldehyde (9) with naphthalene-1-boronic acid (7) and phenanthrene-9-boronic acid (8) produced 2-(1-naphthyl)-5-methoxybenzaldehyde (10) and 2-(9-phenanthryl)-5-methoxybenzaldehyde (11), respectively, in quantitative yields. After reaction of these aldehydes with trimethylsulfonium iodide under phase-transfer conditions or with the Wittig reagent obtained from (methoxymethyl)triphenylphosphonium bromide and phenyllithium to generate an oxiranyl or methoxyethene side chain, the acid-catalyzed cyclization with methanesulfonic acid (or boron trifluoride) produced 3-methoxybenzo[c]phenanthrene (16) and 12-methoxybenzo[g]chrysene (17) in 61-64% yields. Finally, demethylation of these methoxy derivatives 16 and 17 with boron tribromide resulted in the formation of the hydroxy analogues 5 and 6, respectively. The availability of this short and high-yielding regiospecific method for the synthesis of phenols 5 and 6 should allow the preparative-scale synthesis of the fjord-region diol epoxides 3 and 4. These diol epoxides are required as starting compounds for the synthesis of site-specifically modified oligonucleotides which are critically needed to elucidate the mechanism of carcinogenesis at the molecular level.  相似文献

Via a systematic derivatization of the excited-state intramolecular proton-transfer system, 10-hydroxybenzo[h] quinoline, the proton-transfer emission can be extensively tuned from 550 nm (1) to 675 nm (6), in which amplified spontaneous emission was readily observed for , generating a new family of proton transfer laser dyes.  相似文献
