We work out finite-dimensional integral formulae for the scalar product of genus one states of the groupG Chern-Simons theory with insertions of Wilson lines. Assuming convergence of the integrals, we show that unitarity of the elliptic Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard connection with respect to the scalar product of CS states is closely related to the Bethe Ansatz for the commuting Hamiltonians building up the connection and quantizing the quadratic Hamiltonians of the elliptic Hitchin system.  相似文献

This Letter continues the program aimed at analysing of the scalar product of states in the Chern-Simons theory. It treats the elliptic case with group SU2. The formal scalar product is expressed as a multiple finite-dimensional integral which, if convergent for every state, provides the space of states with a Hilbert space structure. The convergence is checked for states with a single Wilson line where the integral expressions encode the Bethe Ansatz solutions of the Lamé equation. In relation to the Wess-Zumino-Witten conformal field theory, the scalar product renders unitary the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard connection and gives a pairing between conformal blocks used to obtain the genus-one correlation functions.  相似文献

The theory of the partiallyU(1) compactified scalar massless field on the compact Riemann surface with Nambu-Goto action is defined. The partition function is determined completely by a choice of the finite-dimensional approximations. The correlation functions are the only correctly defined objects of the theory. The averages of the correlation function asymptotic values provide the amplitudes. For the compact Riemann surfaces of any genus the usual bosonic string amplitudes are the special cases of the above amplitudes.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the spin-1/2 highest weight representations for the 6-vertex Yang–Baxter algebra on a finite lattice and analyze the integrable quantum models associated to the antiperiodic transfer matrix. For these models, which in the homogeneous limit reproduces the XXZ spin-1/2 quantum chains with antiperiodic boundary conditions, we obtain in the framework of Sklyanin?s quantum separation of variables (SOV) the following results: I) The complete characterization of the transfer matrix spectrum (eigenvalues/eigenstates) and the proof of its simplicity. II) The reconstruction of all local operators in terms of Sklyanin?s quantum separate variables. III) One determinant formula for the scalar products of separates states, the elements of the matrix in the scalar product are sums over the SOV spectrum of the product of the coefficients of the states. IV) The form factors of the local spin operators on the transfer matrix eigenstates by one determinant formulae given by simple modifications of the scalar product formulae.  相似文献

A system possessing a global U(1) × U(1) symmetry and consisting of two complex scalar fields and a real scalar field is considered. The renormalized potential of the system is a quartic polynomial in the fields involved. It is shown that nontopological soliton Q-ball-like states exist in such a system. A set of nonlinear differential equations that describes such states is obtained. It is shown that, in the case of the thin-wall regime, the soliton configuration is absolutely stable with respect to a transition to a planewave configuration. A universal dependence of the energy and charges of the soliton configuration on the phase frequencies of rotation is obtained for the thick-wall regime. For a general case, the dependence of the energy and charges of the soliton configuration on the phase frequencies of rotation is constructed by numerical methods.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to investigate the gravitational collapse in the framework of Chern-Simon (CS) modified gravity. For this purpose, we assume the spherically symmetric metric as an interior region and the Schwarzchild spacetime is considered as an exterior region of the star. Junction conditions are used to match the interior and exterior spacetimes. In dynamical formulation of CS modified gravity, we take the scalar field Θ as a function of radial parameter r and obtain the solution of the field equations. There arise two cases where in one case the apparent horizon forms first and then singularity while in second case the order of the formation is reversed. It means the first case results a black hole which supports the cosmic censorship hypothesis (CCH). Obviously, the second case yields a naked singularity. Further, we use Junction conditions have to calculate the gravitational mass. In non-dynamical formulation, the canonical choice of scalar field Θ is taken and it is shown that the obtained results of CS modified gravity simply reduce to those of the general relativity (GR). It is worth mentioning here that the results of dynamical case will reduce to those of GR, available in literature, if the scalar field is taken to be constant.  相似文献

We study the ground-state energy of integrable 1 + 1 quantum field theories with boundaries (the genuine Casimir effect). In the scalar case, this is done by introducing a new “R-channel TBA”, where the boundary is represented by a boundary state, and the thermodynamics involves evaluating scalar products of boundary states with all the states of the theory. In the non-scalar, sine-Gordon case, this is done by generalizing the method of Destri and De Vega. The two approaches are compared. Miscellaneous other results are obtained, in particular formulas for the overall normalization and scalar products of boundary states, exact partition functions for the critical Ising model in a boundary magnetic field, and also results for the energy, excited states and boundary S-matrix of O(n) and minimal models.  相似文献

A classical field system is considered that consists of two interacting scalar fields, the Higgs real field and a complex scalar field. It is demonstrated that there exists a nontrivial topological solution in this system—a kink carrying a U(1) charge. Certain questions are discussed related to the stability of the solution obtained. An improved variational procedure is proposed for determining topological U(1)-charged configurations.  相似文献

The scalar product of two vectors with K real components can be computed using two quantum channels, that is, information transmission lines in the form of spin-1/2 XX chains. Each channel has its own K-qubit sender and both channels share a single two-qubit receiver. The K elements of each vector are encoded in the pure single-excitation initial states of the senders. After time evolution, a bi-linear combination of these elements appears in the only matrix element of the second-order coherence matrix of the receiver state. An appropriate local unitary transformation of the extended receiver turns this combination into a renormalized version of the scalar product of the original vectors. The squared absolute value of this scaled scalar product is the intensity of the second-order coherence which consequently can be measured, for instance, employing multiple-quantum NMR. The unitary transformation generating the scalar product of two-element vectors is presented as an example.  相似文献

We study general perturbations of two-dimensional conformal field theories by holomorphic fields. It is shown that the genus one partition function is controlled by a contact term (pre-Lie) algebra given in terms of the operator product expansion. These models have applications to vertex operator algebras, two-dimensional QCD, topological strings, holomorphic anomaly equations and modular properties of generalized characters of chiral algebras such as the W1+∞ algebra, that is treated in detail.  相似文献

We extend a previous analysis to the case with insertion points. The result allows us to express the correlation functions of the SU(2) WZW conformal field theory on Riemann surfaces of genus > 1 by finite-dimensional integrals.  相似文献

It is shown that the scattering amplitudes of some degenerate massive string states can be expressed in terms of that of higher spin states at the same mass level. This phenomenon is discussed from σ-model point of view and demonstrated explicitly by using massive Ward identities generated by zero-norm states atD=26. The subtlety of the scalar propagating state is briefly pointed out. We also compare our on-shell gauge symmetry derived from σ-model with off-shell gauge symmetry of covariant string field theory.  相似文献

The effective operators of the spin correlated crystal field have been formed by coupling the exchange with the crystal field. The exchange field is a scalar in spin space so the effective operators will still have the same rank as that of the crystal field but will give non-zero matrix elements between the states 2S+1LJ of the half filled shells, contrary to the zero value obtained for a pure crystal field tensor.  相似文献

The scheme of quantisation of non-local field theory is formulated. An intermediate regularisation is introduced into the non-local Lagrangian of the classical scalar field in such a way that the procedure of the canonical quantisation leads to the appearance of additional ghost states with indefinite metrics. The ghost states disappear when the regularisation is removed but the propagator of the scalar particle becomes non-local and theS-matrix is finite, unitary, causal and covariant in each perturbation order.  相似文献

The possibility of describing particles other than hadrons (leptons, photons, gauge bosons, gravitons, etc.) by a dual model is explored. The Virasoro-Shapiro model is studied first, interpreting the massless spin-two state of the model as a graviton. We prove that in the limit of zero slope (with gvs2α′ held fixed) one obtains the Einstein theory of gravitation accompanied by a massless scalar field. Next, the Veneziano model is studied for small slope as an expansion in powers of α′. It is known from previous work that the zeroth order term is precisely the Yang-Mills theory of a multiplet of massless vector bosons. We show that there are order α′ terms arising both from the dual tree and loop graphs. The former constitutes a relatively unimportant modification of the Yang-Mills theory, whereas the latter involves the coupling of the massless scalar and graviton states of the Virasoro-Shapiro model. Thus one may take the point of view that gravity arises as a unitarization effect in a dual unified theory of electromagnetism and weak interactions. In order to obtain the correct values for the electric charge and Newton's constant it is necessary that α′ ? 10?34 GeV?2 The coupling of massless scalar states is also studied.  相似文献

We study in detail the entanglement degree of finite-dimensional pair coherent states (PCSs) in terms of different parameters involved in the coherent states. Since these states are a type of correlated two-mode states in finite dimension, we use the D concurrence and linear entropy to quantify their amount of entanglement. We show that the maximum entanglement can be obtained for two and threedimensional (finite-dimensional) PCSs, and states with higher dimensions cannot attain this limit. We generalize the discussion to a superposition of two states of this class and give the maximum entangled states for even and odd finite-dimensional PCSs. In addition, we consider the entanglement degree of nonlinear finite-dimensional PCSs and survey the maximality condition. Finally, we discuss the entanglement for a class of mixed states defined as a statistical mixture of two pure finite-dimensional PCSs. Our observations may have important implications in exploiting these states in quantum information theory.  相似文献

The general massive spin-(3/2) (Rarita–Schwinger) field equation in Schwarzschild geometry, previously separated by variable separation, is further studied. The orthogonality of the solutions of the angular equations is exploited. The study of the radial equations, that are proposed in the most detailed form, is reduced to the study of four coupled differential equations. The equations are discussed and integrated near the Schwarzschild radius and for zero and large values of the radial coordinate. A covariant product of states is considered that is induced by a conserved current. It is shown the existence of states that are bound in the scalar product without implying the existence of a discrete energy spectrum.  相似文献
