Grothendieck space ideals and weak continuity of polynomials on locally convex spaces

We introduce the classes of locally convex spaces with the local Dunford-Pettis property and locally dual Schur spaces. We examine their properties and their relationship to other classes of locally convex spaces. In the class of locally convex spaces with the local Dunford-Pettis property all polynomials are weakly sequentially continuous whereas in the class of locally dual Schur spaces all polynomials are weakly continuous on bounded sets. Uniquely generated Grothendieck space ideals

Starting from a result of Pietsch on the Grothendieck ideal of strictly nuclear locally convex spaces, we classify all those Grothendieck ideals of nuclear locally convex spaces that are generated by a unique operator ideal on the class of Banach spaces.

We investigate the compactness of one class of bounded subsets in Banach and locally convex spaces. We obtain a generalization of the Banach-Alaoglu theorem to a class of subsets that are not polars of convex balanced neighborhoods of zero. Separately continuous functions on products of locally convex spaces with the weak topology

We study the inverse problem of the theory of separately continuous functions, that is, the problem of constructing a separately continuous function with a prescribed set of points of discontinuity. It is shown that for a given F-set C in the product X×Y of two spaces X and Y in the class of compatible spaces, which includes in particular metrizable spaces and semireflexive locally convex spaces in the weak topology with a metrizable separable dual embedded in the product A×B of the sets AX and BY of first category in X and Y respectively, there exists a separately continuous function f. Minimal ideals of n-homogeneous polynomials on Banach spaces

The minimal kernel of a p-Banach ideal of n-homogeneous polynomials between Banach spaces is defined as a composition ideal, characterized to be the smallest ideal which coincides with the given one on finite-dimensional spaces and represented through tensor products with appropriate norms.     

The approximation on locally convex spaces

Holomorphic manifolds on locally convex spaces

Based on locally compact perturbations of the identity map similar to the Fredholm structures on real Banach manifolds, complex manifolds with inverse mapping theorem as part of the defintion are proposed. Standard topics including holomorphic maps, morphisms, derivatives, tangent bundles, product manifolds and submanifolds are presented. Although this framework is elementary, it lays the necessary foundation for all subsequent developments.     

Mixed weak continuity on generalized topological spaces

We introduce the notion of mixed weak (μ,ν₁ν₂)-continuity between a generalized topology μ and two generalized topologies ν₁, ν₂. We characterize such continuity in terms of mixed generalized open sets: (ν₁,ν₂)′-semiopen sets, (ν₁,ν₂)′-preopen sets, (ν₁,ν₂)-preopen sets [2], (ν₁,ν₂)′-β′-open sets and θ(ν₁,ν₂)-open sets [3]. In particular, we show that for a given mixed weakly (μ,ν₁ν₂)-continuous function, if the codomain of the given function is mixed regular (=(ν₁,ν₂)-regular), then the function is also (μ,ν₁)-continuous.
