Group 4 complexes containing diphosphinoamide ligands [Ph2PNR]2MCl2 (3: R = tBu, M = Ti; 4: R = tBu, M = Zr; 5: R = Ph, M = Ti; 6: R = Ph, M = Zr) were prepared by the reaction of MCl4 (M = Ti; Zr) with the corresponding lithium phosphinoamides in ether or THF. The structure of [Ph2PNtBu]2TiCl2 (3) was determined by X‐ray crystallography. The phosphinoamides functioned as η2‐coordination ligands in the solid state and the Ti? N bond length suggests it is a simple single bond. In the presence of modified methylaluminoxane or i‐Bu3Al/Ph3BC(C6F5)4, catalytic activity of up to 59.5 kg PE/mol cat h bar was observed. New Ti and Zr complexes that bear imine–phenoxy chelate ligands, [{2,4‐di‐tBu‐6‐(RCH=N)‐C6H4O}2MCl2] ( 1 : M=Ti, R=Ph; 2 : M=Ti, R=C6F5; 3 : M=Zr, R=Ph; 4 : M=Zr, R=C6F5), were synthesized and investigated as precatalysts for ethylene polymerization. 1H NMR spectroscopy suggests that these complexes exist as mixtures of structural isomers. X‐ray crystallographic analysis of the adduct 1 ?HCl reveals that it exists as a zwitterionic complex in which H and Cl are situated in close proximity to one of the imine nitrogen atoms and the central metal, respectively. The X‐ray molecular structure also indicates that one imine phenoxy group with the syn C?N configuration functions as a bidentate ligand, whereas the other, of the anti C?N form, acts as a monodentate phenoxy ligand. Although Zr complexes 3 and 4 with methylaluminoxane (MAO) or [Ph3C]+[B(C6F5)4]?/AliBu3 displayed moderate activity, the Ti congeners 1 and 2 , in association with an appropriate activator, catalyzed ethylene polymerization with high efficiency. Upon activation with MAO at 25 °C, 2 displayed a very high activity of 19900 (kg PE) (mol Ti)?1 h?1, which is comparable to that for [Cp2TiCl2] and [Cp2ZrCl2], although increasing the polymerization temperature did result in a marked decrease in activity. Complex 2 contains a C6F5 group on the imine nitrogen atom and mediated nonliving‐type polymerization, unlike the corresponding salicylaldimine‐type complex. Conversely, with [Ph3C]+[B(C6F5)4]?/AliBu3 activation, 1 exhibited enhanced activity as the temperature was increased (25–75 °C) and maintained very high activity for 60 min at 75 °C (18740 (kg PE) (mol Ti)?1 h?1). 1H NMR spectroscopic studies of the reaction suggest that this thermally robust catalyst system generates an amine–phenoxy complex as the catalytically active species. The combinations 1 /[Ph3C]+[B(C6F5)4]?/AliBu3 and 2 /MAO also worked as high‐activity catalysts for the copolymerization of ethylene and propylene.  相似文献

A study of the coordination chemistry of different amidato ligands [(R)N?C(Ph)O] (R=Ph, 2,6‐diisopropylphenyl (Dipp)) at Group 4 metallocenes is presented. The heterometallacyclic complexes [Cp2M(Cl){κ2N,O‐(R)N?C(Ph)O}] M=Zr, R=Dipp ( 1 a ), Ph ( 1 b ); M=Hf, R=Ph ( 2 )) were synthesized by reaction of [Cp2MCl2] with the corresponding deprotonated amides. Complex 1 a was also prepared by direct deprotonation of the amide with Schwartz reagent [Cp2Zr(H)Cl]. Salt metathesis reaction of [Cp2Zr(H)Cl] with deprotonated amide [(Dipp)N?C(Ph)O] gave the zirconocene hydrido complex [Cp2M(H){κ2N,O‐(Dipp)N?C(Ph)O}] ( 3 ). Reaction of 1 a with Mg did not result in the desired Zr(III) complex but in formation of Mg complex [(py)3Mg(Cl) {κ2N,O‐(Dipp)N?C(Ph)O}] ( 4 ; py=pyridine). The paramagnetic complexes [Cp′2Ti{κ2N,O‐(R)N?C(Ph)O}] (Cp′=Cp, R=Ph ( 7 a ); Cp′=Cp, R=Dipp ( 7 b ); Cp′=Cp*, R=Ph ( 8 )) were prepared by the reaction of the known titanocene alkyne complexes [Cp2′Ti(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3)] (Cp′=Cp ( 5 ), Cp′=Cp* ( 6 )) with the corresponding amides. Complexes 1 a , 2 , 3 , 4 , 7 a , 7 b , and 8 were characterized by X‐ray crystallography. The structure and bonding of complexes 7 a and 8 were also characterized by EPR spectroscopy.  相似文献

A study regarding coordination chemistry of the bis(diphenylphosphino)amide ligand Ph2P‐N‐PPh2 at Group 4 metallocenes is presented herein. Coordination of N,N‐bis(diphenylphosphino)amine ( 1 ) to [(Cp2TiCl)2] (Cp=η5‐cyclopentadienyl) generated [Cp2Ti(Cl)P(Ph2)N(H)PPh2] ( 2 ). The heterometallacyclic complex [Cp2Ti(κ2P,P‐Ph2P‐N‐PPh2)] ( 3 Ti ) can be prepared by reaction of 2 with n‐butyllithium as well as from the reaction of the known titanocene–alkyne complex [Cp2Ti(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3)] with the amine 1 . Reactions of the lithium amide [(thf)3Li{N(PPh2)2}] with [Cp2MCl2] (M=Zr, Hf) yielded the corresponding zirconocene and hafnocene complexes [Cp2M(Cl){κ2N,P‐N(PPh2)2}] ( 4 Zr and 4 Hf ). Reduction of 4 Zr with magnesium gave the highly strained heterometallacycle [Cp2Zr(κ2P,P‐Ph2P‐N‐PPh2)] ( 3 Zr ). Complexes 2 , 3 Ti , 4 Hf , and 3 Zr were characterized by X‐ray crystallography. The structures and bondings of all complexes were investigated by DFT calculations.  相似文献

The reactions of the Group 4 metallocene alkyne complexes rac‐(ebthi)M(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3) ( 1 a : M=Ti, 1 b : M=Zr; rac‐(ebthi)=rac‐1,2‐ethylene‐1,1′‐bis(η5‐tetrahydroindenyl)) with Ph?C?N were investigated. For 1 a , an unusual nitrile–nitrile coupling to 1‐titana‐2,5‐diazacyclopenta‐2,4‐diene ( 2 ) at ambient temperature was observed. At higher temperature, the C?C coupling of two nitriles resulted in the formation of a dinuclear complex with a four‐membered diimine bridge ( 3 ). The reaction of 1 b with Ph?C?N afforded dinuclear compound 4 and 2,4,6‐triphenyltriazine. Additionally, the reactivity of 1 b towards other nitriles was investigated.  相似文献

Reactions of Group 4 metallocene alkyne complexes [Cp′2M(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3)] ( 1 : M=Zr, Cp′=Cp*=η5‐pentamethylcyclopentadienyl; 2 a : M=Ti, Cp′=Cp*, and 2 b : M=Ti, Cp′2=rac‐(ebthi)=rac‐1,2‐ethylene‐1,1′‐bis(η5‐tetrahydroindenyl)) with diphenylacetonitrile (Ph2CHCN) and of the seven‐membered zirconacyclocumulene 3 with phenylacetonitrile (PhCH2CN) were investigated. Different compounds were obtained depending on the metal, the cyclopentadienyl ligand and the reaction temperature. In the first step, Ph2CHCN coordinated to 1 to form [Cp*2Zr(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3)(NCCHPh2)] ( 4 ). Higher temperatures led to elimination of the alkyne, coordination of a second Ph2CHCN and transformation of the nitriles to a keteniminate and an imine ligand in [Cp*2Zr(NC2Ph2)(NCHCHPh2)] ( 5 ). The conversion of 4 to 5 was monitored by using 1H NMR spectroscopy. The analogue titanocene complex 2 a eliminated the alkyne first, which led directly to [Cp*2Ti(NC2Ph2)2] ( 6 ) with two keteniminate ligands. In contrast, the reaction of 2 b with diphenylacetonitrile involved a formal coupling of the nitriles to obtain the unusual four‐membered titanacycle 7 . An unexpected six‐membered fused zirconaheterocycle ( 8 ) resulted from the reaction of 3 with PhCH2CN. The molecular structures of complexes 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 and 8 were determined by X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

New Group 3 metal complexes of the type [LM(CH2SiMe3)2(THF)n] supported by tridentate phosphido‐diphosphine ligands [(o‐C6H4PR2) 2 PH; L1‐H : R = iPr; L2‐H : R = Ph] have been synthesized by reaction of L1‐H and L2‐H with [M(CH2SiMe3)3(THF)2)] (M = Y and Sc). All the new complexes [(o‐C6H4PR2) 2 PM(CH2SiMe3)2(THF)n] [M = Y, R = iPr (1), R = Ph (2); M = Sc, R = iPr (3), R = Ph (4)] were studied as initiators for the ring opening polymerization of lactide. The yttrium complexes ( 1 and 2 ) exhibited high activity and good polymerization control, shown by the linear fits in the plot of number‐averaged molecular weight (Mn) versus the percentage conversion and versus the monomer/initiator ratio and by the low polydispersity index values. Interestingly, very good molar‐mass control was observed even when L ‐Lactide was polymerized in the absence of solvent at 130 °C. A good molar‐mass control but lower activities were observed in the polymerization reaction of lactide promoted by the analogous scandium complexes 3 and 4 . © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The catalytic properties of a set of ansa‐complexes (R‐Ph)2C(Cp)(Ind)MCl2 [R = tBu, M = Ti ( 3 ), Zr ( 4 ) or Hf ( 5 ); R = MeO, M = Zr ( 6 ), Hf ( 7 )] in α‐olefin homopolymerization and ethylene/1‐hexene copolymerization were explored in the presence of MAO (methylaluminoxane). Complex 4 with steric bulk tBu group on phenyl exhibited remarkable catalytic activity for ethylene polymerization. It was 1.6‐fold more active than complex 11 [Ph2C(Cp)(Ind)ZrCl2] at 11 atm ethylene pressure and was 4.8‐fold more active at 1 atm pressure. The introduction of bulk substituent tBu into phenyl groups not only increased the catalytic activity greatly but also enhanced the content of 1‐hexene in ethylene/1‐hexene copolymerization. The highest 1‐hexene incorporation was 25.4%. In addition, 4 was also active for propylene and 1‐hexene homopolymerization, respectively, and low isotactic polypropylene (mmmm = 11.3%) and isotactic polyhexene (mmmm = 31.6%) were obtained. A study of the coordination chemistry of different bis(diphenylphosphino)methanide ligands [Ph2PC(X)PPh2] (X=H, SiMe3) with Group 4 metallocenes is presented. The paramagnetic complexes [Cp2Ti{κ2P,P‐Ph2PC(X)PPh2}] (X=H ( 3 a ), X=SiMe3 ( 3 b )) have been prepared by the reactions of [(Cp2TiCl)2] with [Li{C(X)PPh2}2(thf)3]. Complex 3 b could also be synthesized by reaction of the known titanocene alkyne complex [Cp2Ti(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3)] with Ph2PC(H)(SiMe3)PPh2 ( 2 b ). The heterometallacyclic complex [Cp2Zr(H){κ2P,P‐Ph2PC(H)PPh2}] ( 4 aH ) has been prepared by reaction of the Schwartz reagent with [Li{C(H)PPh2}2(thf)3]. Reactions of [Cp2HfCl2] with [Li{C(X)PPh2}2(thf)3] gave the highly strained corresponding metallacycles [Cp2M(Cl){κ2P,P‐Ph2PC(X)PPh2}] ( 5 aCl and 5 bCl ) in very good yields. Complexes 3 a , 4 aH , and 5 aCl have been characterized by X‐ray crystallography. Complex 3 a has also been characterized by EPR spectroscopy. The structure and bonding of the complexes has been investigated by DFT analysis. Reactions of complexes 4 aH , 5 aCl , and 5 bCl did not give the corresponding more unsaturated heterometallacyclobuta‐2,3‐dienes.  相似文献

A series of Al(III) and Sn(II) diiminophosphinate complexes have been synthesized. Reaction of Ph(ArCH2)P(?NBut)NHBut (Ar = Ph, 3 ; Ar = 8‐quinolyl, 4 ) with AlR3 (R = Me, Et) gave aluminum complexes [R2Al{(NBut)2P(Ph)(CH2Ar)}] (R = Me, Ar = Ph, 5 ; R = Me, Ar = 8‐quinolyl, 6 ; R = Et, Ar = Ph, 7 ; R = Et, Ar = quinolyl, 8 ). Lithiated 3 and 4 were treated with SnCl2 to afford tin(II) complexes [ClSn{(NBut)2P(Ph)(CH2Ar)}] (Ar = Ph, 9 ; Ar = 8‐quinolyl, 10 ). Complex 9 was converted to [(Me3Si)2NSn{(NBut)2P(Ph)(CH2Ph)}] ( 11 ) by treatment with LiN(SiMe3)2. Complex 11 was also obtained by reaction of 3 with [Sn{N(SiMe3)2}2]. Complex 9 reacted with [LiOC6H4But‐4] to yield [4‐ButC6H4OSn{(NBut)2P(Ph)(CH2Ph)}] ( 12 ). Compounds 3–12 were characterized by NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The structures of complexes 6 , 10 , and 11 were further characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction techniques. The catalytic activity of complexes 5–8 , 11 , and 12 toward the ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone (CL) was studied. In the presence of BzOH, the complexes catalyzed the ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐CL in the activity order of 5 > 7 ≈ 8 > 6 ? 11 > 12 , giving polymers with narrow molecular weight distributions. The kinetic studies showed a first‐order dependency on the monomer concentration in each case. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 44: 4621–4631, 2006  相似文献

Desactivation of Catalysts in the Polymerization of Acetylene by Bis(trimethylsilyl)acetylene Complexes of Titanocene or Zirconocene Unexpected inactive byproducts were observed in the catalytic polymerization of acetylene using metallocene alkyne complexes Cp2M(L)(η2-Me3SiC2SiMe3), 1 : M = Ti, without L; 2 : M = Zr, L = thf. The reaction of 1 was investigated in detail by NMR to give quantitatively at –20 °C the titanacyclopentadiene Cp2Ti–CH=CH–C(SiMe3)=C(SiMe3) ( 3 ). Around 0 °C 3 starts to rearrange to yield the dihydroindenyl complex 4 via coupling of one Cp-ligand with the titanacyclopentadiene. In the reaction of 2 under analogous conditions a zirconacyclopentadiene Cp2Zr–CH=CH–C(SiMe3)=C(SiMe3) ( 5 ) and the dimeric complex [Cp2Zr(C(SiMe3)=CH(SiMe3)]2[μ-σ(1,2)-C≡C] ( 6 ) were observed. Whereas 5 decomposes to a mixture of unidentified paramagnetic species, 6 was isolated and investigated by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray analysis. In the reaction of rac-(ebthi)Zr(η2-Me3SiC2SiMe3) (ebthi = ethylenbistetrahydroindenyl) with 2-ethynyl-pyridine the complex rac-(ebthi)ZrC(SiMe3)=CH(SiMe3)](σ-C≡CPy) 7 was obtained, which was investigated by an X-ray analysis.  相似文献

A series of novel phenoxy-phosphinimine ligands (L): L = 2-(Ph2PNR), 4, 6-(CMe3)2-C6H2OH [2, R = SiMe3; 3, R = Ph] have been prepared in the yield of 65-71%. And bis(phenoxy-phosphinimide) group 4 complexes of the type L2MCl2 [4, M = Ti, R = SiMe3; 5, M = Zr, R = SiMe3; 6, M = Ti, R = Ph; 7, M = Zr, R = Ph] have been synthesized by the reaction of the ligands with TiCl4 and ZrCl4. The structure of complex 7 has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The complexes 4-7 showed inactive to ethylene polymerization in the presence of modified methylaluminoxane (MMAO) and i-Bu3Al/Ph3CB(C6 F5)4. These results should be caused by overdoing the steric congestion around central metal.  相似文献

ZrIV and TaV Complexes with Methano‐Bridged Bis(aryloxy) Ligands The bis(aryloxy) ligand precursor compounds bis(2‐trimethylsiloxy‐5‐tbutylphenyl)methane (L–SiMe3) and its bromoderivative (2‐trimethylsiloxy‐3‐bromo‐5‐tbutylphenyl)(2′‐trimethylsiloxy‐5′‐tbutylphenyl)methane (LBr–SiMe3) are prepared in analogy to the corresponding calixarenes in excellent yields. X‐ray structure analysis for LBr–SiMe3: space group P21/c, a = 12.462(7), b = 10.466(6), c = 23.315(14) Å, β = 105.02(4)°, V = 2937(3) Å3, Z = 4. L–SiMe3 and LBr–SiMe3 react with ZrIV and TaV chlorides in very good yields forming di‐ and trinuclear complexes. From the reaction of CpZrCl3 with LBr–SiMe3 in the ratio of 3 : 2 a Zr3 complex ( 7 ) is obtained, with one LBr ligand only, which Zr atoms are bridged by a μ3‐oxygen. The X‐ray structure analysis of 7 (space group R 3, a = 33.23(6), c = 24.47(8) Å, V = 23405(128) Å3, Z = 18) additionally reveals that one phenolato oxygen atom of the LBr ligand is terminally bound to a distorted tetragonal‐pyramidal coordinated Zr atom, while the second phenolato oxygen atom of the LBr ligand forms a bridge to another Zr atom with a distorted octahedral coordination. The third Zr atom is also found in a distorted octahedral coordination mode. The reactions of L–SiMe3 and LBr–SiMe3 with CpTaCl4 and TaCl5 yield dinuclear Ta complexes with a bridging bis(aryloxy) ligand. NMR spectroscopic data point out that the coordination of the bis(aryloxy) ligands in the Ta complexes very much resembles that in the Zr3‐complex with one terminal and one bridging phenolato oxygen atom. The Zr3 and the Ta complexes LBrTa2Cp2Cl6 and LTa2Cl8 were tested with respect to their catalytic properties in olefin polymerisation reactions in the presence of MAO.  相似文献

A series of Me4Cp–amido complexes {[η51‐(Me4C5)SiMe2NR]TiCl2; R = t‐Bu, 1 ; C6H5, 2 ; C6F5, 3 ; SO2Ph, 4 ; or SO2Me, 5 } were prepared and investigated for olefin polymerization in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO). X‐ray crystallography of complexes 3 and 4 revealed very long Ti N bonds relative to the bonds of 1 . These complexes were employed for ethylene–styrene copolymerizations, styrene homopolymerizations, and propylene homopolymerizations in the presence of MAO. The productivities of the catalysts derived from 3 – 5 were much lower than the productivity of the catalyst derived from 1 for the propylene polymerizations and ethylene–styrene copolymerizations, whereas the styrene polymerization activities were much higher for the catalysts derived from 3 – 5 than for the catalyst derived from 1 . The polymerization behavior of the catalysts derived from the metallocenes 3 – 5 were more reminiscent of monocyclopentadienyl titanocene Cp′TiX3/MAO catalysts than of CpATiX2/MAO catalysts such as 1 containing alkylamido ligands. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Phosphido- and Arsenido-bridged Dinuclear Complexes. Synthesis and Molecular Structure of (η5-C5H4R)2Zr{μ-P(SiMe3)2}2M(CO)4 (R = Me, M = Cr; R = H, M = Mo) and Synthesis of (η5-C5H5)2Zr{μ-As(SiMe3)2}2Cr(CO)4 The reaction of (η5-C5H4R)2Zr{E(SiMe3)2}2 with M(CO)4(NBD) (NBD = norbornadiene) yields the dinuclear phosphido- or arsenido-bridged complexes (η5-C5H4R)2Zr{μ-E(SiMe3)2}2M(CO)4 (R = Me, E = P, M = Cr ( 1 ); R = H, E = P, M = Mo ( 2 ); R = H, E = As, M = Cr ( 3 )). No formation of dinuclear complexes was observed in the reaction of (η5-C5H4Me)2Zr{P(SiMe3)2}2 with Ni(PEt3)4, Ni(CO)2(PPh3)2 or with NiCl2(PPh3)2 in the presence of Mg. Complexes 1 – 3 were characterised spectroscopically (i. r., n. m. r., m. s.), and X-ray structure investigations were carried out on 1 and 2 . The central four-membered ZrP2M ring is slightly puckered (dihedral angle between planes ZrP2/CrP2 14.7°, ZrP2/MoP2 14.2°). The Zr? P bond lengths are equivalent ( 1 : Zr? P1 2.654(4), Zr? P2 2.657(4) Å; 2 : Zr? P1 2.6711(9), Zr? P2 2.6585(7) Å), as are the M? P bond lengths (M = Cr ( 1 ): Cr? P1 2.513(4), Cr? P2 2.502(4) Å; M = Mo ( 2 ): Mo? P1 2.6263(7), Mo? P2 2.6311(10) Å). The long Zr ··· M distances of 3.414 Å (M = Cr ( 1 )) and 3.461 Å (M = Mo ( 2 )) indicate the absence of a metal-metal bond.  相似文献

Phosphido‐diphosphine Group 3 metal complexes 1–4 [(o‐C6H4PR2)2P‐M(CH2SiMe3)2; R = Ph, 1 : M = Y, 2 : M = Sc; R = iPr, 3 : M = Y, 4 : M = Sc] are very efficient catalysts for the ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of cyclic esters such as ε‐caprolactone (ε‐CL), L ‐lactide, and δ‐valerolactone under mild polymerization conditions. In the ROP of ε‐CL, complexes 1–4 promote quantitative conversion of high amount of monomer (up to 3000 equiv) with very high turnover frequencies (TOF) (~4 × 104 molCL/molI h) showing a catalytic activity among the highest reported in the literature. The immortal and living ROP of ε‐CL and L ‐lactide is feasible by combining complexes 1–4 with 5 equiv of 2‐propanol. Polymers with controlled molecular parameters (Mn, end groups) and low polydispersities (Mw/Mn = 1.05–1.09) are formed as a result of fast alkoxide/alcohol exchange. In the ROP of δ‐valerolactone, complexes 1–4 showed the same activity observed for lactide (L ‐ and D ,L ‐lactide) producing high molecular weight polymers with narrow distribution of molar masses. Complexes 1–4 also promote the ROP of rac‐β butyrolactone affording atactic low molecular weight poly(hydroxybutyrate) bearing unsaturated end groups probably generated by elimination reactions. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Totally sixteen new titanium and zirconium non-Cp complexes supported by Schiff-base, or thiophene diamide ligands have been synthesized. The complexes are obtained by the reaction of M(OPr-i)4(M=Ti,Zr) with the corresponding Schiff-base ligand in 1:1 molar ratio in good yield. The thiophene diamide titanium complex has been prepared from trimethylsilyl amine [N,S,N] ligand and TiCl4 in toluene at 120℃. All complexes are well charac-terized by ^1H NMR, IR, MS and elemental analysis. When activated by excess methylaluminoxane (MAO), complexes show moderate catalytic activity for ethylene polymerization, and complex If (R^1=CH3,R^2=Br) exhibits the highest activity for ethylene and styrene polymerization. When the complexes were preactivated by triethylaluminum (TEA), both polymerization activities and syndiotacticity of the polymers were greatly improved.  相似文献

A series of o‐di(phenyl)phosphanylphenolate‐based half‐titanocene complexes CpTiCl2[O‐2‐R1‐4‐R2‐6‐(Ph2P)C6H2] (Cp = C5H5, 2a : R1 = R2 = H; 2b : R1 = F, R2 = H; 2c : R1 = Ph, R2 = H; 2d : R1 = SiMe3, R2 = H; 2e : R1 = tBu, R2 = H; 2f : R1 = R2 = tBu) have been synthesized in high yields (65–87%) by treating CpTiCl3 with 1.0 equiv of the deprotonated ligands in THF. The 1H and 31P NMR spectra indicated that the phosphorus is not coordinated to titanium in complexes 2a – c , but is coordinated to titanium in complexes 2d – f . Structures for 2c – f were further confirmed by X‐ray crystallography. Complex 2c is essentially a four‐coordinate tetrahedral geometry, whereas complexes 2d ‐ f adopt five‐coordinate distorted square–pyramid geometry around the titanium center. All complexes exhibited low to moderate activities toward homopolymerization of ethylene. Excitingly, they displayed excellent ability to copolymerize ethylene with norbornene, and catalytic activity was more than 100 times larger than that of ethylene homopolymerization in the case of Ph3CB(C6F5)4/iBu3Al as cocatalyst, affording the copolymers with high comonomer incorporations. Moreover, DFT calculations study had been performed to shed light on the active species and the fundamental role of NBE in improving the catalytic activity. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. A series of mono‐, bis‐, and tris(phenoxy)–titanium(IV) chlorides of the type [Cp*Ti(2‐R? PhO)nCl3?n] (n=1–3; Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) was prepared, in which R=Me, iPr, tBu, and Ph. The formation of each mono‐, bis‐, and tris(2‐alkyl‐/arylphenoxy) series was authenticated by structural studies on representative examples of the phenyl series including [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)Cl2] ( 1 PhCl2 ), [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)2Cl] ( 2 PhCl ), and [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)3] ( 3 Ph ). The metal‐coordination geometry of each compound is best described as pseudotetrahedral with the Cp* ring and the 2‐Ph? PhO and chloride ligands occupying three leg positions in a piano‐stool geometry. The mean Ti? O distances, observed with an increasing number of 2‐Ph? PhO groups, are 1.784(3), 1.802(4), and 1.799(3) Å for 1 PhCl2 , 2 PhCl , and 3 Ph , respectively. All four alkyl/aryl series with Me, iPr, tBu, and Ph substituents were tested for ethylene homopolymerization after activation with Ph3C+[B(C6F5)4]? and modified methyaluminoxane (7% aluminum in isopar E; mMAO‐7) at 140 °C. The phenyl series showed much higher catalytic activity, which ranged from 43.2 and 65.4 kg (mmol of Ti?h)?1, than the Me, iPr, and tBu series (19.2 and 36.6 kg (mmol of Ti?h)?1). Among the phenyl series, the bis(phenoxide) complex of 2 PhCl showed the highest activity of 65.4 kg (mmol of Ti?h)?1. Therefore, the catalyst precursors of the phenyl series were examined by treating them with a variety of alkylating reagents, such as trimethylaluminum (TMA), triisobutylaluminum (TIBA), and methylaluminoxane (MAO). In all cases, 2 PhCl produced the most catalytically active alkylated species, [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)MeCl]. This enhancement was further supported by DFT calculations based on the simplified model with TMA.  相似文献

Using CuCl instead of CuSCN results to the cluster complexes [Cu14(AsPh)6Cl2(PRR′2)8] ( 5–6 ) ( 5 : R = R′ = Et; 6 : R = Me, R′ = nPr), [Cu12(AsPh)6(PPh3)6] ( 7 ) and [Cu10(AsPh)4Cl2(PMe3)8] ( 8 ). Through reactions of CuOAc with As(SiMe3)3 in the presence of tertiary phosphines the compounds [Cu12(AsSiMe3)6(PRR′2)6] ( 9 – 11 ) ( 9 : R = R′ = Et; 10 : R = Ph, R′ = Et; 11 : R = Et, R′ = Ph) and [Cu8(AsSiMe3)4(PtBu3)4] ( 12 ) can be obtained. In each case the products were characterised by single‐crystal‐X‐ray‐structure‐analyses. As the main structure element 1 – 3 each have two As4Ph42–‐chains as ligands. In contrast 4 – 12 contain discrete AsR2–ligands.  相似文献
