The mixed donor tetradentate (L(1)=N(2)O(2)) and pentadentate (L(2)=N(2)O(2)S) ligands have been prepared by the interaction of 1,3-diaminopropane and thiodiglycolic acid with diamine. These ligands possess two dissimilar coordination sites. Different types of complexes were obtained which have different stoichiometry depending upon the type of ligands. Their structural investigation have been based on elemental analysis, magnetic moment and spectral (ultraviolet, infrared, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR and mass spectroscopy methods). The Ni(II) complexes show magnetic moments corresponding to two unpaired electrons except [Ni(L(1))](NO(3))(2) which is diamagnetic. Ligand field parameters of these complexes were compared. N(2)O(2)S donor ligand complexes show higher values of ligand field parameters, which are used to detect their geometries. The redox properties and stability of the complexes toward oxidation waves explored by cyclic voltammetry are related to the electron-withdrawing or releasing ability of the substituents of macrocyclic ligands moiety. The Ni(II) complexes displayed Ni(II)/Ni(I) couples irreversible waves associated with Ni(III)/Ni(II) process.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(pash)Cl] and [M(Hpash)(H2O)SO4] (M=Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); Hpash = p-amino acetophenone salicyloyl hydrazone) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar electrical conductance, magnetic moments, electronic, ESR and IR spectra, thermal studies and X-ray powder diffraction. All the complexes are insoluble in common organic solvents and are non-electrolytes. The magnetic moment values and electronic spectra indicate a square-planar geometry for Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) chloride complexes and spin-free octahedral geometry for the sulfato complexes. The ligand coordinates through >C=N–,–NH2 and a deprotonated enolate group in all the chloro complexes, and through >C=N–, >C=O and–NH2 in the sulfato complexes. Thermal analyses (TGA and DTA) of [Cu(pash)Cl] show a multi-step exothermic decomposition pattern. ESR spectral parameters of Cu(II) complexes in solid state at room temperature suggest the presence of the unpaired electron in d x 2 ? y 2 . X-ray powder diffraction parameters for [Cu(pash)Cl] and [Ni(Hpash)(H2O)SO4] correspond to tetragonal and orthorhombic crystal lattices, respectively. The complexes show a fair degree of antifungal activity against Aspergillus sp., Stemphylium sp. and Trichoderma sp. and moderate antibacterial activity against E. coli and Clostridium sp.  相似文献

The quinoline hydrazone ligands were synthesized through multi-step reactions. The 2-hydroxy-3-formylquinoline derivatives (1a1c) were prepared from acetanilide derivatives as starting materials using Vilsmeier–Haack reaction. Then the condensation of 2-hydroxy-3-formylquinoline derivatives with hydrazide derivatives (2a2c) yielded quinoline hydrazone ligands (3a3i). The synthesis of a new series of Zn(II) complexes carried out by refluxing with these quinoline hydrazone ligands (3a3i) is reported. The molecular structures of the ligands (3a3i) and the Zn complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and spectral studies like FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, MS, UV–Visible and fluorescence. The preliminary results of antituberculosis study showed that most of the Zn(II) complexes 4a4i demonstrated very good antituberculosis activity while the ligands 3a3i showed moderate activity. Among the tested compounds 4e and 4g were found to be most active with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 8.00 μM and 7.42 μM respectively against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (H37 RV strain) ATCC No-27294 which is comparable to “first and second line” drugs used to treat tuberculosis.  相似文献

The reaction of VO(acac)2 with 2-benzoylpyridine substituted aroylhydrazones is studied. Oxovanadium(IV) and (V) complexes are obtained, indicating the binding of ligands to the metal ion through the imine nitrogen, enolate oxygen and pyridyl nitrogen. The oxovanadium(IV) compound [VOL1(OCH3)] · 0.14H2O (1a) gets oxidized to dioxovanadium(V) species [VO2L1] (1b) upon crystal formation. The crystal structures of the ligand and the two vanadium complexes are reported. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies of the compound [VO(HL2)(μ2-O)]2 (2) revealed a centrosymmetric dimer.  相似文献

The synthesis, IR spectra and single-crystal structures of two Mn(II) and one Zn(II) azido complexes with halo-substituted pyridine derivative ligands are reported: [Mn(N3)-2(3-Brpy)2(H2O)]2(3-Brpy)2 (1), [Mn(N3)2(3-Brpy)2] n (2) and [Zn(N3)2(3-amino,2-chloropyridine)] n (3) with 3-Brpy = 3-bromopyridine. In the dinuclear Mn(II) complex 1 and polymeric 1D Zn(II) complex 3, di-EO only azido bridges exist, whereas in the polymeric Mn(II) 1D system of 2, a rather less common di-EO/di-EO/di-EE azido bridging sequence has been observed (EO = end-on, EE = end-to-end). The halo-substituted pyridine derivatives act in the three compounds as terminal ligands and in 1 also as solvent molecules.  相似文献

A series of cis-dicyanoosmium(II) complexes [Os(PPh3)2(CN)2(N intersectionN)] (N intersectionN = Ph2phen (2a), bpy (2b), phen (2c), Ph2bpy (2d), tBu2bpy (2e)) and [Os(DMSO)2(CN)2(N intersectionN)] (3a-3e, N intersectionN = Br2phen (3f), Clphen (3g)), were synthesized and their spectroscopic and photophysical properties were examined, and [Os(PMe3)2(CN)2(phen)] (4) with axial PMe3 ligands was similarly prepared. The molecular structures of 2a, 2c, [2c.Zn(NO3)2]infinity, 2d, 2e, 3b, 3d, 3e, and 4 were determined by X-ray crystallographic analyses. The two CN ligands are cis to each other with mean Os-C bond distance of 2.0 A. The two PR3 (R = Ph, Me) or DMSO ligands are trans to each other with P/S-Os-P/S angles of approximately 177 degrees . The UV-vis absorption spectra of 2a-2e display an intense absorption band at 268-315 nm (epsilon = approximately (1.54-4.82) x 104 M-1 cm-1) that are attributed to pi --> pi*(N intersection N) and/or pi --> pi*(PPh3) transitions. The moderately intense absorption bands with lambdamax at 387-460 nm (epsilon = approximately (2.4-11.3) x 103 M(-1) cm(-1)) are attributed to a 1MLCT transition. A weak, broad absorption at 487-600 nm (epsilon = approximately 390-1900 M(-1) cm(-1)) is assigned to a 3MLCT transition. Excitation of 2a-2e in dichloromethane at 420 nm gives an emission with peak maximum at 654-703 nm and lifetime of 0.16-0.67 micros. The emission energies, lifetimes, and quantum yields show solvatochromic responses, and plots of numax, tau, and Phi, respectively, versus ET (solvent polarity parameter) show linear correlations, indicating that the emission is sensitive to the local environment. The broad structureless solid-state emission of 2a-2e at 298 (lambdamax 622-707 nm) and 77 (lambdamax 602-675 nm) K are assigned to 3MLCT excited states. The 77 K MeOH/EtOH (1:4) glassy solutions of 2a-2e also exhibit 3MLCT emissions with lambdamax = 560-585 nm. The 1MLCT absorption and 3MLCT emission of 3a-3g occur at lambdamax = 332-390 nm and 553-644 nm, respectively. In the presence of Zn(NO3)2, both the 1MLCT absorption and 3MLCT emission of 2c in acetonitrile blue-shift from 397 to 341 nm and 651 to 531 nm, respectively. The enhancement of emission intensity (I/Io) of 2e at 531 nm reached a maximum of approximately 810 upon the addition of two equivs of Zn(NO3)2. The crystallographic and spectroscopic evidence suggests that 2c undergoes binding of Zn2+ ions via the cyano moieties.  相似文献

Mononuclear palladium(II) complexes containing both pyrazole-type ligands and thiocyanate, of general formula [Pd(SCN)2(L)2] {L = pyrazole (HPz) and 1-phenyl-3-methylpyrazole (phmPz)} have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r. and n.m.r. spectroscopy and by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The Pd atom in these structures lies on the crystallographic inversion center; in a square-planar coordination geometry made by two sulfur and two nitrogen atoms of the ligands, both in trans positions.  相似文献

New cyanamidonitrate complexes of the type [Ni(NO2NCN)2L4], where L = pyrazole (pz), 3(5)-methylpyrazole (mpz), 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (dmpz), 3,4,5-trimethylpyrazole (tmpz), indazole (benzopyrazole; inz), 4-bromopyrazole (Br-pz) and 4-iodopyrazole (I-pz) have been isolated and characterized by i.r. and electronic spectroscopy. The crystal structure of [Ni(NO2NCN)2(pz)4] was solved by X-ray crystallography. The NiII environment is practically octahedral, composed of four tertiary nitrogens from pyrazole ligands and two nitrile nitrogens from cyanamidonitrate groups. According to the spectral results similar molecular structures can be attributed to all remaining complexes. The i.r. spectra exhibit changes in the cyanamidonitrate vibrations caused by coordination of this group. The electronic spectra are in agreement with the practically octahedral NiII environment.  相似文献

Two 5-tetrazolylazo-8-hydroxyquinoline (TTHQ) Zn2+ and Mn2+ complexes, [Zn(TTHQ)(en)]·2H2O (en = ethylenediamine) (1) and [Mn2(TTHQ)2(H2O)6]·2H2O (2), were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Stacking (ππ) and hydrogen-bonding interactions are responsible for the stabilization of the supramolecular structures. UV–vis spectral changes and photoluminescent properties of TTHQ, 1 and 2 were investigated and a red emission was found. The hydrogen-bonding interaction energies in 1 and 2 were calculated using density functional theory at the WB97XD/6-31++G level.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(painh)(H2O)2X], where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); X = Cl2 or SO4; painh = p-amino acetophenone isonicotinoyl hydrazone, have been synthesized and characterized by spectral and other physico-chemical techniques. The synthesized complexes are stable powders, insoluble in common organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and diethyl ether, and are non-electrolytes. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) studies show that the organic ligand decomposes exothermically through various steps. TGA and Infrared (IR) spectral studies indicate the presence of coordinated water in the metal complexes. Magnetic susceptibility measurements and electronic spectra suggest that Mn(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes are paramagnetic with octahedral geometry, whereas Cu(II) complexes have distorted octahedral geometry. The neutral bidentate ligand bonds through >C=O and >C=N–groups in all the complexes. Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) spectra in the solid state show axial symmetry for [Cu(painh)(H2O)2(SO4)] and elongated rhombic symmetry for [Cu(painh)(H2O)2Cl2], suggesting an elongated tetragonally-distorted octahedral structure for both complexes. X-ray powder diffraction parameters for two complexes correspond to tetragonal and orthorhombic crystal lattices. The metal complexes show fair antifungal activity against Rizoctonia sp., Aspergillus sp., Stemphylium sp., and Penicillium sp. and appreciable antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas sp. and Escherichia coli.  相似文献

The previously synthesised Schiff-base ligands 2-(2-Ph(2)PC(6)H(4)N[double bond, length as m-dash]CH)-R'-C(6)H(3)OH (R'= 3-OCH(3), HL(1); 5-OCH(3), HL(2); 5-Br, HL(3); 5-Cl, HL(4)) were prepared by a faster, more efficient route involving a microwave assisted co-condensation of 2-(diphenylphosphino)aniline with the appropriate substituted salicylaldehyde. HL(1-4) react directly with M(II)Cl(2)(M = Pd, Pt) or Pt(II)I(2)(cod) affording neutral square-planar complexes of general formula [M(II)Cl(eta(3)-L(1-4))](M = Pd, Pt, 1-8) and [Pt(II)I(eta(3)-L(1-4))](M = Pd, Pt, 9-12). Reaction of complexes 1-4 with the triarylphosphines PR(3)(R = Ph, p-tolyl) gave the novel ionic complexes [Pd(II)(PR(3))(eta(3)-L(1-4))]ClO(4)(13-20). Substituted platinum complexes of the type [Pt(II)(PR(3))(eta(3)-L(1-4))]ClO(4)(R = P(CH(2)CH(2)CN)(3)21-24) and [Pt(II)(P(p-tolyl)(3))(eta(3)-L(3,4))]ClO(4)( 25 and 26 ) were synthesised from the appropriate [Pt(II)Cl(eta(3)-L(1-4))] complex (5-8) and PR(3). The complexes are characterised by microanalytical and spectroscopic techniques. The crystal structures of 3, 6, 10, 15, 20 and 26 were determined and revealed the metal to be in a square-planar four-coordinate environment containing a planar tridentate ligand with an O,N,P donor set together with one further atom which is trans to the central nitrogen atom.  相似文献

Two types of copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes derived from benzophenone anthranoylhydrazone (L1), 2-acetonaftanone anthranoylhydrazone (L2), 4-phenylacetonaftonone anthranoylhydrazone (L3), benzophenone salicyoylhydrazone (L4), 2-acetonaftanon salicyoylhydrazone (L5), 4-phenylacetonaftanon salicyoylhydrazone (L6) and bidentate heterocyclic base [1,10-phenanthroline (phen)] with general stoichiometry [ML2] and [ML(phen)]Cl have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra, UV-vis electronic absorption spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The effect of varying pH and solvent on the absorption behavior of both ligands and complexes have been investigated. According to the IR spectra, the ligands act as monobasic bidentate and coordination takes place in the enol tautomeric form.  相似文献

Metal complexes composed of bidentate 1,2-bis(2-methyl-5-(4-pyridyl)-3-thienyl)perfluorocyclopentene (1a) and monodentate 1-(2-methyl-5-phenyl-3-thienyl)-2-(2-methyl-5-(4-pyridyl)-3-thienyl)perfluorocyclopentene (2a) photochromic ligands and M(hfac)(2) (M = Zn(II), Mn(II), and Cu(II)) were prepared, and their photoinduced coordination structural changes were studied. X-ray crystallographic analyses showed the formation of coordination polymers and discrete 1:2 complexes for bidentate and monodentate ligands, respectively. The complexes underwent reversible photochromic reactions by alternate irradiation with UV and visible lights in solution as well as in the single-crystalline phase. Upon photoirradiation with UV and visible light, the ESR spectra of the copper complexes of 1a reversibly changed. While the open-ring isomer gave an axial-type spectrum, the photogenerated closed-ring isomer showed a rhombic-type spectrum. This indicates that the photoisomerization induced the change in the coordination structure.  相似文献

Two new trinuclear organoiron(II) complexes, in which a trans-1,2-ferrocenyl-ferrocenylene ethene unit (electron-donors) is attached to an electron-deficient cationic mixed sandwich via a conjugated hydrazone bridge, giving complexes of the type , have been prepared. The complexes were fully characterised by 1H NMR, IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy. Their electrochemical properties have been studied by means of cyclic voltammetry, showing an effective electronic coupling between the two ferrocenyl fragments. The X-ray crystal structure of compound shows that it adopts the sterically more hindered syn-conformation about the 1,1′-ferrocenediyl core, with a parallel disposition of the conjugated dinucleating ligands, therefore, favouring an efficient electron delocalization through the entire π-framework. At the same time, the (C5-ring)Fe moieties adopt an anti,anti-conformation with the iron atoms on the opposite faces of their respective bridging ligand.  相似文献

Two novel macrocyclic ligands and their complexes Mn(L1 and L2)]X2 (L1 and L2 = 1,10-diaza-5,6,15,17-tetraoxa (tetrathia)-2,3:8,9:12,13,18:19-tetrabenzocyclododeca-10,20-diene; X = Cl, NO3, NCS, SO4) were primed and their capacity to sustain the Mn2+ ion in solid, as well as in aqueous solution, was resoluted from an assortment of physicochemical measurements, viz., elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, IR, 1H NMR electronic, ESR spectral studies, and cyclic voltammetric (CV) measurements. DNA-binding and DNA-photocleavage properties of two Ru(II) complexes, [Ru(L1)(dppz)2](PF6)4 (1) and [Ru(L2)(dppz)2](PF6)4 (2) (L1 = 5,5′-di(1-(triethylammonio)methyl)-2,2′-dipyridyl cation; L2 = 5,5′-di(1-(tributylammonio)methyl)-2,2′-dipyridyl cation; dppz = dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine, have been investigated. Experimental results show that the DNA-binding affinity of complex 1 is greater than that of 2, both complexes emit luminescence in aqueous solution, either alone or in the presence of DNA, complex 1 can bind to DNA in an intercalative mode while 2 most likely interacts with DNA in a partial intercalation fashion, and complex 2 serves as a better candidate for enantioselective binding to CT-DNA compared with 1. Moreover, complex 1 reveals higher efficient DNA cleavage activity than 2, during which supercoiled DNA is converted to nicked DNA with both complexes. Theoretical calculations for the two complexes have been carried out applying the density functional theory (DFT) method at the level of the B3LYP/LanL2DZ basis set. The calculated results can reasonably explain the obtained experimental trends in the DNA-binding affinities and binding constants (Kb) of these complexes.  相似文献

The new cobalt(II) phosphine oxide complexes Co(Cy3PO)2Cl2 (1), Co(Cy3PO)2Br2 (2), Co(Cy3PO)2I2 (3), Co(Ph2CyPO)2Cl2 (4), Co(Ph2CyPO)2Br2 (5), Co(Ph2CyPO)2I2 (6), Co(Ph2EtPO)2Br2 (7), Co(Cy3PO)2(NCS)2 (8) and Co(Cy3PO)2(NO3)2 (9) have been prepared mainly by the reaction of anhydrous CoX2 (X = Cl, Br, I, NCS, NO3) with the appropriate phosphine oxide. The complexes were characterised by single-crystal X-ray crystallography supported by IR and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. The structural analyses show that the cobalt(II) centre adopts a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry except for 9 which displays an octahedral geometry. Systematic structural features of these complexes are explained within this paper.  相似文献

The bis(phosphatediester)-bridged complexes [[Ni([12]aneN(3))(mu-O(2)P(OR)(2))](2)](PF(6))(2) [[12]aneN(3)=Me(3)[12]aneN(3), 2,4,4-trimethyl-1,5,9-triazacyclododec-1-ene; R=Me (1), Bu (2), Ph (3), Ph-4-NO(2) (4); [12]aneN(3)=Me(4)[12]aneN(3), 2,4,4,9-tetramethyl-1,5,9-triazacyclododec-1-ene; R=Me (5), Bu (6), Ph (7), Ph-4-NO(2) (8)] were prepared by hydrolysis of the phosphate triester with the hydroxo complex [[Ni([12]aneN(3))(mu-OH)](2)](PF(6))(2) or by acid-base reaction of the dialkyl or diaryl phosphoric acid and the above hydroxo complex. The acid-base reaction was also used to synthesise the phosphinate-bridged complexes [[Ni([12]aneN(3))(mu-O(2)PR(2))](2)](PF(6))(2) [[12]aneN(3)=Me(3)[12]aneN(3), R=Me (9), Ph (10); [12]aneN(3)=Me(4)[12]aneN(3), R=Me (11), Ph (12)]. The molecular structures of complexes 2, 3 and 12 were established by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The eight-membered rings defined by the nickel atoms and the bridging ligands show distorted twist-boat, chair and boat-boat conformations in 2, 3 and 12, respectively. The experimental susceptibility data for compounds 2, 3 and 12 were fitted by least-squares methods to the analytical expression given by Ginsberg. The best fit was obtained with values of J=-0.11 cm(-1), D=-9.5 cm(-1) and g=2.20 for 2; J=-0.97 cm(-1), D=-9.3 cm(-1) and g=2.21 for 3; and J=-0.14 cm(-1), D=-11.9 cm(-1) and g=2.195 for 12. The magnetic-exchange pathways must involve the phosphate/phosphinate bridges, because these favour antiferromagnetic interactions. The observation of a higher exchange parameter for compound 3 is a consequence of a favourable disposition of the O-P-O bridges. The kinetics for the hydrolysis of TNP (tris(4-nitrophenyl)phosphate) with the dinuclear nickel(II) hydroxo complex [[Ni(Me(3)[12]aneN(3))(mu-OH)](2)](PF(6))(2) was studied by UV-visible spectroscopy. The proposed mechanism for TNP-promoted hydrolysis can be described as one-substrate/two-product, and can be fitted to a Michaelis-Menten equation.  相似文献
