Phase formation in the Re-Se-Br-MBr systems (M = K, Rb, Cs) was studied by NMR spectroscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. The reactions taking place in alkali metal halide melts were found to give, among the series of cluster anions [{Re6Se8 − n Br n }Br6](4 − n)− (0 ≤ n≤ 4), polymeric complexes Re6Se8Br 2 and M2Re6Se8Br4 (M = Cs, Rb) and salts containing cluster anions [Re6Se6Br8]2− and [Re6Se7Br7]3− as the major products. Two new cationic octahedral rhenium cluster complexes [{Re6Q8}(4-NH2-py)6]2+ (Q=S, Se; 4-NH2-py = 4-aminopyridine) were synthesized by reactions of cesium salts of cluster anions [{Re6Q8}Br6]4?/3? with molten 4-aminopyridine. Both complexes were separated as salts with Br? as counterions and the structure of [{Re6S8}(4-NH2-py)6]Br2·6DMF was revealed by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, energy dispersive X-ray, IR, NMR, and luminescence spectroscopies.  相似文献

Zn(II) and Cu(II) complexes of the cluster-based ligand [Re6(μ 3-Se)8(PEt3)5(PTA)](SbF6)2 (PTA = 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane), {Zn[Re6(μ 3-Se)8(PEt3)5(PTA)](NO3)3}(SbF6) (1) and {Cu[Re6(μ 3-Se)8(PEt3)5(PTA)](NO3)3}(SbF6) (2), were prepared and structurally characterized. They are the first N-coordinated Zn(II) and Cu(II) complexes wherein the PTA ligand displays an interesting and less-frequently observed P, N-coordination mode. The compound [{Re6S8}(3,5-Me2pzH)6]2[{Re6S8}Br6]?9H2O?4EtOH containing a cluster cation and a cluster anion in a 2: 1 ratio was synthesized by mixing an ethanol solution of the rhenium cluster complex [{Re6S8}(3,5-Me2pzH)6]Br2?2(3,5-Me2pzH) (pzH is pyrazole) with an aqueous solution of Cs4[{Re6S8}Br6]?2H2O. The resulting compound was characterized by a combination of physicochemical methods. In particular, luminescence properties were studied and compared with those of the parent cluster complexes. A crystal suitable for single-crystal X-ray diffraction was obtained by layering these solutions. According to single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, this compound is composed of a cluster cation and a cluster anion (in a ratio of 1: 1) and also of Zundel cations (H5O2 +) and solvate water molecules and is described by the formula (H5O2)2[{Re6S8}(3,5-Me2pzH)6][{Re6S8}Br6]?4H2O.  相似文献

Reaction of polymeric compound Cs4[Re6S8(CN)4S2/2] with aqueous solution of KOH led to formation of trans-[Re6S8(CN)4(OH)2]4− anion which was crystallized in ordered Cs1.68K2.32[Re6S8(CN)4(OH)2] · 2H2O (1a) and disordered Cs1.83K2.17[Re6S8(CN)4(OH)2] · 2H2O (1b) modifications. The presence of two types of apical ligands, inert cyanides and labile hydroxides, opened a way to other trans-[Re6S8(CN)4L2] n rhenium cluster complexes: trans-[Re6S8(CN)4Cl2]4−, trans-[Re6S8(CN)4(H2O)Br]3−, and trans-[Re6S8(CN)4Br2]4−, crystallized as Cs1.84K1.16(H)[Re6S8(CN)4Cl2] (2), Cs1.68K1.32[Re6S8(CN)4(H2O)Br] (3), (Me4N)3(H5O2)[Re6S8(CN)4Br2] (4), and CsK{Cu(H2O)2[Re6S8(CN)4Cl2]} · 4H2O (5) salts.  相似文献

The rhenium cyano-bridged cluster complex with a composition of β-[{Ni(NH3)5}2{Re6Te8(CN)6}]−4H2O is obtained and structurally characterized. The compound pound crystallizes in the P $ P\bar 1 $ P\bar 1 triclinic space group with the unit cell parameters: a = 9.997(2) ?, b = 10.423(2) ?, c = 11.714(2) ?, α = 100.92(3)°, β = 111.87(3)°, γ = 98.05(3)°, V = 1082.1(4) ?3, Z = 1, d calc = 4.072 g/cm3. The rhenium atoms of the {Re6Te8} cluster core are coordinated by CN ligands to form the [Re6Te8(CN)6]4− cluster; two nitrogen atoms of CN ligands trans-positioned with respect to each other are coordinated to Ni atoms in the {Ni(NH3)5}2+ fragments to form the molecular complexes of [{Ni(NH3)5}2}Re6Te8(CN)6}]. The crystal structure is the H-bonded packing of these molecular complexes and crystallization water molecules.  相似文献

Relativistic density functional calculations including scalar and spin-orbit effects via the ZORA approximation and including solvent effects were carried out on the [Re6S8(CN)6]4−, [Re5MoS8(CN)6]5−, [Re4Mo2S8(CN)6]5−, [Re3Mo3S8(CN)6]5−, [Re2Mo4S8(CN)6]5−, [ReMo5S8(CN)6]5− and [Mo6S8(CN)6]6− clusters. By increasing the replacement of each Re atom with Mo atoms we find that for x > 2 the HOMO–LUMO gap decreases significantly. The calculated gap of the [Re3Mo3S8(CN)6]5−, [Re2Mo4S8(CN)6]5− and [ReMo5S8(CN)6]5− clusters is similar to the calculated and observed gap of the superconducting PbMo6S8 Chevrel phases. The current calculations also indicates that the electronic similarities of the lowest excited states of the semiconducting 24e [Re5MoS8(CN)6]5− and 23e [Re4Mo2S8(CN)6]5− clusters with the strongly luminescent 24e [Re6S8(CN)6]4− cluster, suggest that these mixed metal clusters might be luminescent.  相似文献

Slow evaporation of water solution of [{Re6S8}(H2O)6]2+ generated in situ from [{Re6S8}(OH)6]4– in presence of γ-cyclodextrin (CD) leads to crystallization of {[{Re6S8}(H2O)6] ? [γ-CD]}(NO3)2·12H2O (1·12H2O) supramolecular complex, which was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction crystallography, IR-spectroscopy, thermogravimetric and elemental analyses. X-ray analysis confirms the formation of 1:1 {[{Re6S8}(H2O)6] ? [γ-CD]}2+ inclusion compound in the solid state. However, no adduct formation was detected between [{Re6S8}(H2O)6]2+ and γ-cyclodextrin in solution, according to 1H NMR spectroscopy. In the case of in situ generated [{Re6Se8}(H2O)6]2+ the reaction solution with γ-cyclodextrin is unstable and during the crystallization only amorphous precipitate has been obtained.  相似文献

New octahedral anionic heterometal rhenium-osmium cluster complexes [Re5OsSe8(OH)6]3− and [Re4Os2Se8(OH)6]2− were synthesized starting from [Re5OsSe8Cl6]3− and [Re4Os2Se8Cl6]2−, respectively. They were isolated as salts of the compositions Cs3[Re5OsSe8(OH)6] · 11H2O (I), K3[Re5OsSe8(OH)6] · 7H2O (II), and K2[Re4Os2Se8(OH)6] · 3H2O (III). The protonation of the terminal OH ligands of [Re5OsSe8(OH)6]3− in an aqueous solution resulted in crystallization of a neutral complex [Re5OsSe8(H2O)3(OH)3] · 12H2O (IV). The compounds have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The luminescence properties of [Re5OsSe8(OH)6]3− and [Re4Os2Se8(OH)6]2− were studied. In addition, the electronic structures of the complexes were elucidated by DFT calculations.  相似文献

This article describes recent developments in chemical study on a series of butterfly-shaped μ-CO-containing Fe/E (E = S, Se, Te) cluster salts. Two similar tetranuclear copper(II) complexes with the formulae [Cu4(L1)21,1-N3)42-CH3COO)2] and [Cu4(L2)21,1-N3)2(μ-Br)2Br2(CH3OH)2], where L1 and L2 are the deprotonated forms of 2-[(2-ethylaminoethylimino)methyl]-5-methoxyphenol and 5-methoxy-2-[(2-piperidin-1-ylethylimino)methyl]phenol, respectively, have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both complexes are centrosymmetric tetranuclear copper(II) compounds. The bridging groups in [Cu4(L1)21,1-N3)42-CH3COO)2] are μ1,1-azide ligands and μ2-acetate ligands, and those in [Cu4(L2)21,1-N3)2(μ-Br)2Br2(CH3OH)2] are μ1,1-azide ligands and μ-bromide ligands. Mono-and dinuclear ReIV and ReV complexes with 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (Me2pzH) were synthesized. The cis-[Re2O3Cl4(3,5-Me2pzH)4] complex (cis-1) was prepared by the reaction of NH4ReO4 with K[HB(Me2pz)3] in concentrated HCl or by refluxing of [ReCl3(MeCN)(PPh3)2] with Me2pzH in air. The bromide complex trans-[Re2O3Br4(3,5-Me2pzH)4] (trans-2) was synthesized by passing dry HBr through a solution of [Re2O3Br2(μ-3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)2] (4) in chloroform. The pyrazolate-bridged complex [Re2O3Cl2(μ-3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)2] (3) was prepared from (Et4N)2[ReOCl5] or Cs2[ReOCl5] and Me2pzH. The corresponding bromide and iodide complexes [Re2O3X2(3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)2] · C6H6 (X = Br (4) or I (5)) were synthesized by the reactions of (NH4)2[ReBr6] or K2[ReI6], respectively, with Me2pzH. The [ReO(OMe)(3,5-Me2pzH)4]Br2 · · 3,5-Me2pzH · 4H2O complex (6) was obtained as a by-product in the synthesis of complex 4. The reaction of [ReNCl2(PPh3)2] with Me2pzH was accompanied by hydrolytic denitration giving rise to the mixed-ligand complex [Re2O3Cl2(μ-3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)(PPh3)] (7). The reaction of (NH4)2[ReBr6] with a Me2pzH melt gave the trans-[ReBr4(3,5-Me2pzH)2] · · Me2CO complex (8). The structures of complexes 2 and 4–8 were established by X-ray diffraction. All compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, electronic absorption spectroscopy, 1H NMR and IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and cyclic voltammetry. The novel coordination polymers, [{Mn(DMF)3}2{Re6S8(CN)6}] (I), [{Mn(DMF)2(H2O)}2{Re6S8(CN)6}] · 2DMF (II), [{Mn(DMF)3}2{Re6Se8(CN)6}] (III), [{Mn(DMF)2(H2O)}2{Re6Se8(CN)6}] · 2DMF (IV), and [{Mn(DMF)2(H2O)}2{Re6Te8(CN)6}] · 2DMF (V), were synthesized by interaction of the octahedral cluster complexes [Re63-Q)8(CN)6]4? (Q = S, Se, Te) with the Mn2+ cations in the H2O-DMF mixture. The crystal structures of compounds I, II, IV, and V were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The structural analogies between mononuclear cyanometallates and the obtained cluster coordination polymers were discussed.  相似文献

One of the products of the reaction between Re3S7Br7 and PPh3 has been isolated in crystalline state and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD), mass-spectrometry, and EPR spectroscopy. The crystalline phase obtained is a co-crystallization product of two cluster complexes: [Re33-S)2(μ-S)2(μ-Br)Br3(PPh3)3] (1a) an [Re33-S)2(μ-S)(μ-Br)2Br3(PPh3)3] (1b). New cyclosiloxanolate transition metal cluster complex derivatives were prepared. PhSiO2K reacted with NiX2 (X2 = Cl2 or acac) to give K2{[η6−(PhSiO2)6]23−(OH)]2Ni4K4}, a mixed group 1–group 10 metal complex. PhSiO2Na reacted with Ni(NH3)6I2 to give Na{[η6−(PhSiO2)6]2Ni66−I)} as the first example of “encapsulated” I ion in siloxanolate complexes. The macrocyclic Na4{[η12−(PhSiO2)12]Cu4} complex reacted with η6−(1,3,5−C7H8)Cr(CO)3 to give the heterobimetallic adduct Na4{[η12−(PhSiO2)12]Cu4}· [Cr(CO)3]3 as one of the rare examples of heterobimetallic complexes with different oxidation numbers of the metals. The copper derivative {[η6−(PhSiO2)6]2Cu6(n−BuOH)5} reacted in MeOH/CHCl3 (1:6) with Et4NCN to give the hexanuclear complex {[η6−(PhSiO2)6]2Cu62−C3H5N2O2)2}, containing 2-amino-2-oxoetanimidic acid methyl ester monoanion ligands, product of an unexpected C–C coupling reaction. This latter complex was characterized also by X-ray diffraction crystal and molecular structure determination. This paper is dedicated to the 70th birthday of Professor Dr. Gunter Schmid (Essen), pioneer of large cluster chemistry, known to friends as GOLD-Schmid, because of his famous discovery of the Au55 cluster. A cluster complex of the composition [Zn2(NH3)6(μ-OH)][Zn(NH3)4]0.5[Re4Te4(CN)12]·5H2O is obtained by the interaction of an aqueous solution of K4[Re4Te4(CN)12]·5H2O with an aqueous ammonia solution of ZnCl2. The compound crystallizes in the C2/m (12) monoclinic space group with unit cell parameters a = 23.233(2) ?, b = 14.5906(16) ?, c = 14.3825(15) ?, β = 125.169(1)°, V = 3985.5(7) ?3, Z = 4, d x = 3.290 g/cm3. The structure is built from cluster [Re4Te4(CN)12]4− anions and complex [Zn2(NH3)6(μ-OH)]3+ and [Zn(NH3)4]2+ cations; the latter is disordered over two positions.  相似文献

A topological method of quantum chemistry (AIM) is used to study the contact area of a triangular bridging group {CS3} in 12-nuclear cluster fragments of {Re12CS17}. It is shown that in the region under consideration the intramolecular interaction is characterized by a ring critical point (rcp), and its parameters depend on the oxidation state and explain the unusual structural changes in cluster complexes in redox transformations: [Re12CS17(CN)6]8− ↔ [Re12CS17(CN)6]6−.  相似文献

The structures of two salts [Co(NH3)6][Rh(NO2)6] (I) and [Co(NH3)6][(NO2)3Rh(μ-NO2)1+x (μ-OH)2−x Rh(NO2)3]·(2−x)(H2O), x = 0.17 (II) are solved. Single crystals of the salts are obtained by the counter diffusion method through the gel of aqueous solutions of [Co(NH3)6]Cl3 and Na3[Rh(NO2)6]. The structure of [Co(NH3)6][Rh(NO2)6] is consistent with the diffraction data for a polycrystalline sample of poorly soluble fine salt formed in the exchange reaction between aqueous solutions of [Co(NH3)6]Cl3 and Na3[Rh(NO2)6]. The structure of [Co(NH3)6][(NO2)3Rh(μ-NO2)1+x (μ-OH)2−x Rh(NO2)3]·(2−x)(H2O), x = 0.17 exhibits the stabilizing effect of a large cation in the formation of novel, unknown previously coordination ions: [(NO2)3Rh(μ-NO2)(μ-OH)2Rh(NO2)3]3− and [(NO2)3Rh(μ-NO2)2(μ-OH)Rh(NO2)3]3−.  相似文献

Methods were developed for the controlled thermal synthesis of high-spin cubane-like pivalates {MII 43−OR)4} (M = Co or Ni; R = H or Me) starting from mono-and polynuclear complexes. The solid-state thermal decomposition of the known pivalate clusters [MII 43−OMe)4−(μ2−OOCBut)22−OOCBut)2(MeOH)4] and the new clusters [M4II3)−OH41−OOCBut)3−(μ−(NH2)2C6H2Me2)31−(NH2)2C6H2Me2)3]+(OOCBut)− (M = Co or Ni) was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry. The thermolysis of cubane-like CoII and NiII pivalates is a destructive process. The phase composition of the decomposition products is determined by the nature of coordinated ligands and the structural features of the metal core.  相似文献

A new series of complexes is synthesized by template condensation of glyoxal and oxalyldihydrazide in methanolic medium in the presence of divalent cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc and cadmium salts forming complexes of the type: [M(C8H8N8O4)X2] where M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and X = Cl−1, Br−1, NO 3 −1 , OAc−1. The complexes have been characterized with the help of elemental analyses, conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic, n.m.r., infrared and far infrared spectral studies. On the basis of these studies, a six coordinate octahedral geometry for these complexes has been proposed. The biological activities of the metal complexes have been tested in vitro against a number of pathogenic bacteria to assess their inhibiting potential. Most of the compounds have been found to exhibit remarkable antibacterial activities.  相似文献
