Synthesis and Liquid Crystal Behaviors of 2,4-Dioxo-3-pentyl 4-decyloxy Cinnamate Rhodium （I） Complexes

The title complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of [RhCI(CO)2]2 or [RhCI(COD)]2 (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene)with the organic ligand 2,4-dioxo-3-pentyl 4-decyloxy cinnamate 2. The complex 3 based on dicarbonylrhodium(I) shows nematic phase, while the complex 4 containing rhodium(I) bound to a COD ligand is a nonmesogen. The relationship between molecular structures and liquid crystal behavior has also been discussed by means of computer-aided molecular modeling.     

Synthesis, Spectroscopic Properties and Structural Characterization of Tri（o-chlorobenzyl）tin Ester of 4-Pyridinecarboxylic Acid

The tri(2-chlorobenzyl)tin(IV) complex with 4-pyridinylcarboxylate ligand tri(o-chlorobenzyl)tin ester of 4-pyridinecarboxylic acid has been synthesized by the reaction of tri(2-chlorobenzyl)tin(Ⅳ) chloride with 4-pyridinyl carboxylic acid and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and ^1HNMR, and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction.     

N-乙基-1，10-菲罗啉-2-甲胺镍(Ⅱ)配合物的合成、晶体结构及性质研究(英)

A novel ligand N-ethyl-1,10-phenanthroline-2-methanamine and its Ni(Ⅱ) complex have been synthesized. The crystal structure of the complex has been determined by X-ray diffraction method. The Ni(Ⅱ) is five-coordinated by three nitrogen atoms from the ligand and two Cl^- anions in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal environment: the N(2), Cl(1) and Cl(2) in equatorial plane; the N(1) and N(3) in axial positions. The UV-spectra and IR-spectra of the ligand and its Ni(Ⅱ) complex were recorded and discussed. The thermodynamic properties of the ligand with various bivalent metals were studied by potentiometric titrations and the order of the stability constants is in agreement with the Irving-Williams order in coordination chemistry. Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Quantum Chemistry of Tris[（2-methyl- 2-phenyl）propyl] （2,4-dinitro-phenolato）tin

The tris[(2-methyl-2-phenyl)propyl](2,4-dinitro-phenolato)tin was synthesized by the reaction of bis[tri(2-methyl-2-phenyl)propyltin] oxide with 2,4-dinitrophenol. The compound was characterized by IR, 1H NMR spectra and elemental analysis. The crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P21/n with a = 0.9649(0), b = 1.0087(8), c = 3.4867(4) nm, β = 90.965(7) , Z = 4, V = 3.3933(7) nm3, Dc = 1.369 Mg·m-3, (MoKa) = 0.796 mm-1, F(000) = 1440, R = 0.0345 and wR = 0.0821. The tin atom has a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The 2D network structure of the complex is formed by hydrogen bonds and π-π effects. The stabilities, orbital energies and composition characteristics of some frontier molecular orbitals of the complexes have been investigated with the aid of G98W software.     

Microwave Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Bis {2- [（2,4-dichloro-phenylimino）- methyl]-4,6-diiodo-phenol}-copper（II）

Bis{2-[(2,4-dichloro-phenylimino)-methyl]-4,6-diiodo-phenol}-copper(II) (1) has been synthesized and its structure determined by X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2 1 /n with a=14.7558(17), b=20.770(2), c=20.3260(19) , β=90.6110(10)°, V=6229.2(11) 3 and Z=8. The Cu atom is surrounded by two O atoms and two N atoms from two 2-[(2,4-dichloro-phenylimino)-methyl]-4,6-diiodo-phenol molecules to form a tetrahedral coordination environment. The complex is linked into a column by weak intermolecular interactions.     

Crystal Structure of Chiral Acetato-bridged Binuclear Cyclopalladated complex[Pd（μ-O2CM3）（S-C6H4CHMeNH2）]2

Reaction of (S)-α-methylbenzylamine with Pd(OAc)2 in anhydrous HOAc produced the chiral complex[Pd(μ-O2CMe)(S-C6H4CHMeNH2)]2.(1).The complex was characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy,elemental analysis and a single-crystal Xray analysis.The X-ray crystal structure analysis revealed that complex 1 has four isomers:two outer and two inner isomers.     

Synthesis,Crystal Structure and DNA-binding Properties of a New Copper（Ⅱ） Schiff Base Complex

A new asymmetric bidentate copper(Ⅱ) complex,CuL 2(HL=2-((E)-(4-bromophenylimino)methyl)-6-bromo-4-chlorophenol),has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1 /c with a=11.218(3),b=9.355(3),c=13.449(4),β=108.722(4)°,V=1336.8(6)3,Z=2,Dc=2.008 g/cm 3,μ(MoKα)=7.024 mm-1,F(000)=806,S=0.999,the final R=0.0342 and wR=0.0641for2611observed reflections (I>2σ(I)).The central copper(Ⅱ) is four-coordinate and bonds to two nitrogen and two oxygen atoms from two Schiff base ligands.The complex is linked into a two-dimensional supramolecular structure by weak intermolecular interactions.In addition,DNA-binding properties of the metal complex were investigated using spectrometric titrations and viscosity measurements.The results show that the complex binds with calf-thymus DNA(CT-DNA),presumably via a partial intercalative mode.The intrinsic binding constant of the Cu(Ⅱ) complex with DNA is 7.335×10 3 M-1.     

Synthesis,Structure, and Luminescent Property of a 3-D Zinc Complex { [ZN8II（4-APha）8（CH3COO）8] （CH3CH2OH）2}n①

The title complex [ZnⅡ8(4-APha)8(CH3COO)8(CH3CH2OH)2]n(1, 4-APha = 4-aminophenylhydroxamic acid) has been prepared under solvothermal conditions. It has been characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, IR and elemental analysis. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, space group C2/c with a = 39.074(4), b = 9.9645(8), c = 38.846(3) A, β = 136.438 o, V = 10423.1(14) A3, C84H118N16O39Zn8, Mr = 2498.90, Z = 4, Dc = 1.592 g/cm3, μ = 1.900 mm-1, F(000) = 5144, the final R = 0.1036 and wR = 0.2953. This complex possesses a 3-D structure which is constructed from 1-D chain motifs linked by the 4-APha- ligands. The luminescent property of the title complex has been investigated.     

Structure and Photosynthetic Mimicking of Bis（2,6—bis（benzimidazol—2—yl）pyridine）manganese（Ⅱ）

Mn(bzimpy)2(1)[bzimpy=2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine],a mononuclear manganese(Ⅱ）complex,was synthesized by the reaction of Mn(OOCMe)2 with bzimpy in absolute ethanol.The complex was structurally characterized by elemental analysis,cyclic voltammetry,and X-ray crystallography.In the complex,the manganese-nitrogen distances were different,and the geometry and the metal ion environment showed the distortion.The cyclic voltammetric measurements have been performed to assess its redox characteristics.The presence of oxidation wave at 0.62V and 0.081V vs.SCE or 0.8V and 1.0v vs.NHE suggested that this complex could catalyze the oxidation of water,therefore,simulate the water-oxidizing complex(WOC) of photosystem Ⅱ (PS Ⅱ).The measurements of photoreduction of 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol (DCPIP),and oxygen evolution in the manganess-depleted and the comples 1-reconstituted PS Ⅱ preparations just support our conjecture.     

DSC and NMR Study on the Inclusion Complex of Lappaconitine with β—Cyclodextrin

The inclusion complex of lappaconitine(Lap) with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) has been studied by the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and ^1H-NMR,2D-NMR spectroscopy. The structure of the complex has been deduced.     

Crystal Structure and Magnetic Property of a Two-dimensional Manganese Compound [Mn（PhCOO）2（4,4＇-bipyridine）]n

A new two-dimensional polymeric manganese compound [Mn(PhCOO)2(4,4'-bipyridine)]n 1 has been prepared and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in space group Pbcn with a = 18.7158(2), b = 11.6919(3), c = 9.4799(2)(A), V = 2074.42(7)(A)3, Z = 4, Mr = 453.34, Dc = 1.452 g/cm3, μ = 0.670 mm-1 and F(000) = 932. The final refinement gave R = 0.0458 and wR = 0.1439 for 1358 observed reflections with Ⅰ＞ 2σ(Ⅰ). The complex consists of repeating units of Mn(PhCOO)2(4,4'-bipyridine). Each Mn center is sixcoordinated by four carboxylate O atoms of four benzoate anions and two pyridyl N atoms from bipy ligands to furnish a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The two adjacent Mn atoms are connected by a pair of μ1,3-carboxylate groups to form infinite chains, which are further interlinked by bipy to complete a 2D grid network. The magnetic property of the polymeric complex has also been investigated.     

三元配合物钯（Ⅱ）-2,2''-联吡啶-L-天冬氨酸与DNA作用研究

The ternary complex Pd(Ⅱ)-2,2‘-bipyridine-L-asparagic acid was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR-spectra and molar conductance. The formula of the complex is Pd(bipy)(L-asp). The interaction of the complex with DNA has been studied by UV-spectra, fluorescence spectra, CD-spectra and gel electrophoresis. The results showed that the interaction of the complex with DNA performed mainly in intercalative mode and the extent of interaction was dependent on the concentration of the complex.     

Solvothermal Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Zn（II） Microporous Metal-organic Framework

A novel three-dimensional Zn(Ⅱ) coordination polymer, Zn3(C2H2N3)4(SiF6), has been synthesized under solvothermal conditions using 1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxylic acid and zinc fluoride as the starting materials. The complex has been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The complex crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group with a=11.592(0), c=7.526(1), V=1011.3(2)3 , Z=2, Mr=610.46, Dc=2.005 g/cm3 and F(000)=596. The final R=0.0312 and wR=0.067 for 319 observed reflections with I>2σ(I). In the title complex, the Zn centers are interconnected by μ 3 -bridging triazole ligands to form a microporous three-dimensional metal-organic framework.     

Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Quantum Chemistry of the Complex [Cu（p-FBA）_2（phen）（H_2O）]

A novel metal-organic complex Cu(p-FBA)2(phen)(H2O) (p-FBA = p-fluorobenzoic acid,phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction,elemental analysis and IR spectra. The crystal belongs to triclinic,space group P1 with a = 7.8043(7),b = 10.4069(9),c = 14.3658(13) ,α = 105.3170(10),β = 96.877(2),γ = 96.7580(10)o,V = 1103.56(17) 3,Mr = 539.96,Z = 2,Dc = 1.625 g/cm3,μ = 1.050 mm-1,F(000) = 550,the final R = 0.0324 and wR = 0.0952. In the crystal,the structure consists of discrete molecules containing a five-coordinate copper(Ⅱ ) in a distorted square pyramidal configuration. Intramolecular O-H···O hydrogen bonds,weak intermolecular C-H···O hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking link the molecules into a one-dimensional chain structure. The study on the title complex has been performed with quantum chemistry calculation by means of G03W package on the Lanl2dz basis set. The stabilities of the complex together with the orbital energies and composition characteristics of some frontier molecular orbitals have been investigated.     

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Quantum Chemistry Study of Tri（o-bromobenzyl）tin Ferrocenecarboxylate

A novel complex tri(o-bromobenzyl)tin ferrocenecarboxylate has been synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction. It belongs to orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a = 1.1340(3), b = 1.7823 (4), c = 3.0119(8) nm, V = 6.088(3) nm3, Mr = 857.81, Z = 8, Dc = 1.872 g/cm3, μ(MoKα) = 52.63 cm-1, F(000) = 3328, R = 0.0683 and wR = 0.1057. The tin atom adopts a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. Further studies on the title com- plex have been performed with quantum chemistry calculation at the Lanl2dz basis set level using G98W package. The stability of the complex, some frontier molecular orbital energies and com- position characteristics of some frontier molecular orbitals have been investigated.

Antifungal Evaluation of Copper(Ⅱ) Complex from a Schiff Base Derivative of Pyrazine on Schizosaccharomyces pombe

A new copper(Ⅱ) complex of CuLCl_2, where L = N~1-(1-pyrazin-2-yl-ethylidene)-ethane-1,2-diamine, a tridentate Schiff base derived from 2-acetylpyrazine has been prepared. The complex has been characterized by FT-IR, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Structural studies reveal that CuLCl_2 is a mononuclear copper(Ⅱ) complex with distorted square pyramidal geometry. Antifungal activity of CuLCl_2 was investigated by use of microcalorimetric measurement system and evaluated against S. pombe. It has high antifungal activity with IC_(50) = 213 μg/mL.

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF Co(Ⅱ) COMPLEX OF 14-MEMBERED HEXAAZA MACROCYCLIC LIGAND WITH AXIALLY COORDINATED BROMIDES

The macrocyclic ligand complex, [Co(C_(18)H_(18)N_6) Br_2]·1/2H_2O, has been synthesized by the template condensation of 2, 6-diacetylpyridine with hydrazine in the presence of cobalt (Ⅱ) dibromide and characterized by IR, ESR, electronic spectra and magnetic properties. Based on these data, the complex is proposed to be an approximate elongated octahedron with low spin state. The absorption bands of d-d transition are assigned, and the values of various ligand field parameters have been evaluated and are discussed in terms of their chemical utilities. ESR study on the complex has been carried out. The values of g(?)and g(?) have been determined. From ligand field parameter values and gvalues, μ_(eff)=2.06 BM has been obtained, which is consistent with the experimental value(2.04BM).

A silica-supported arsine palladium(O) complex has been prepared from y-chloropropyltriethoxysilane via immobilization on fumed silica, followed by reaction with potassium diphenylarsenide and palladium chloride, and then reduction with hydrazine hydrate. The complex has been characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and it is a highly active and stereoselective catalyst for arylation of butyl acrylate and acrylamide with aryl halides, affording a variety of tram-butyl cinnamates and trans-cinnamamides in high yields.
