The FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 1-bromo-3-fluorobenzene (C6H4FBr) molecule have been recorded using Bruker IFS 66 V spectrometer in the range of 4000–100 cm−1. The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies in the ground state are calculated using the DFT (B3LYP, B3PW91 and MPW91PW91) methods with 6-31++G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets. The computed values of frequencies are scaled using a suitable scale factor to yield good coherence with the observed values. The isotropic DFT (B3LYP, B3PW91 and MPW1PW91) analysis showed good agreement with the experimental observations. Comparison of the fundamental vibrational frequencies with calculated results by B3LYP methods. The complete data of this molecule provide the information for future development of substituted benzene. The influence of bromine and fluorine atom on the geometry of benzene and its normal modes of vibrations has also been discussed. A study on the electronic properties, such as absorption wavelengths, excitation energy, dipole moment and frontier molecular orbital energies, was performed by time dependent DFT (TD-DFT) approach. The electronic structure and the assignment of the absorption bands in the electronic spectra of steady compounds were discussed. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. On the basis of the thermodynamic properties of the title compound at different temperatures have been calculated in gas phase, revealing the correlations between standard heat capacities (C) standard entropies (S), standard enthalpy changes (H) and temperatures.  相似文献

In this work, the experimental and theoretical spectra of 3-bromoanisole (3-BA) are studied. FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of title molecule in the liquid phase have been recorded in the region 4000-100 cm(-1). The structural and spectroscopic data of the molecule in the ground state have been calculated by using Hartree-Fock and density functional method (LSDA and MPW1PW91) with the 6-31G (d, p) and 6-311G (d, p) basis sets. The vibrational frequencies are calculated and scaled values have been compared with the experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. The observed and calculated frequencies are found in good agreement. The DFT-LSDA/6-311G (d, p) calculations have been found are more reliable than the ab initio HF/6-31G (d, p) calculations for the vibrational study of 3-BA. The optimized geometric parameters (bond lengths and bond angles) are compared with experimental values of the molecule. The alteration of vibrational bands due to the substitutions in the base molecule is also investigated from their characteristic region of linked spectrum.  相似文献

FT-IR (4000-100 cm(-1)) and FT-Raman (4000-100 cm(-1)) spectra of solid sample of 4-chloro-2-fluoro toluene (4Cl2FT) have been recorded using Bruker IFS 66 V spectrometer. Ab initio-HF (HF/6-311++G (d, p)) and DFT (B3LYP/6-311++G and B3PW91/6-311++G (d, p)) calculations have been performed giving energies, optimized structures, harmonic vibrational frequencies, depolarization ratios, IR intensities, Raman activities. The vibrational frequencies are calculated and scaled values are compared with FT-IR and FT-Raman experimental values. The isotropic HF and DFT analyses showed good agreement with experimental observations. The differences between the observed and scaled wave number values of most of the fundamentals are very small in B3LYP than HF. Comparison of the simulated spectra provides important information about the ability of the computational method (B3LYP) to describe the vibrational modes. The influences of substitutions on the geometry of molecule and its normal modes of vibrations have also been discussed. The changes made by substitutions on the benzene are much responsible for the non-linearity of the molecule. This is an attractive entity for the future studies of non-linear optics.  相似文献

The FT-Raman and FT-IR spectra for 3-Ethylpyridine (3-EP) have been recorded in the region 4000-100 cm(-1) and compared with the harmonic vibrational frequencies calculated using HF/DFT (B3LYP) method by employing 6-31G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p) basis set with appropriate scale factors. IR intensities and Raman activities are also calculated by HF and DFT (B3LYP) methods. Optimized geometries of the molecule have been interpreted and compared with the reported experimental values of some substituted benzene. The experimental geometrical parameters show satisfactory agreement with the theoretical prediction from HF and DFT. The scaled vibrational frequencies at B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) seem to coincide with the experimentally observed values with acceptable deviations. The theoretical spectrograms (IR and Raman) have been constructed and compared with the experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. Some of the vibrational frequencies of the pyridine are effected upon profusely with the C2H5 substitutions in comparison to pyridine and these differences are interpreted.  相似文献

Fourier-transform Raman and infrared spectra of 2-nitroanisole are recorded (4000-100 cm(-1)) and interpreted by comparison with respective theoretical spectra calculated using HF and DFT method. The geometrical parameters with C(S) symmetry, harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared and Raman scattering intensities are determined using HF/6-311++G (d, p), B3LYP/6-311+G (d, p), B3LYP/6-311++G (d, p) and B3PW91/6-311++G (d, p) level of theories. A detailed vibrational spectral analysis has been carried out and assignments of the observed fundamental bands have been proposed on the basis of peak positions and relative intensities. The results of the calculations have been used to simulate IR and Raman spectra for the molecule that showed good agreement with the observed spectra. The SQM method, which implies multiple scaling of the DFT force fields has been shown superior to the uniform scaling approach. The vibrational frequencies and the infrared intensities of the C-H modes involved in back-donation and conjugation are also investigated.  相似文献

In the present study, the FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 4-chloro-2-methylaniline (4CH2MA) have been recorded in the range of 4000-100 cm(-1). The fundamental modes of vibrational frequencies of 4CH2MA are assigned. All the geometrical parameters have been calculated by HF and DFT (LSDA, B3LYP and B3PW91) methods with 6-31G (d, p) and 6-311G (d, p) basis sets. Optimized geometries of the molecule have been interpreted and compared with the reported experimental values for aniline and some substituted aniline. The harmonic and anharmonic vibrational wavenumbers, IR intensities and Raman activities are calculated at the same theory levels used in geometry optimization. The calculated frequencies are scaled and compared with experimental values. The scaled vibrational frequencies at LSDA/B3LYP/6-311G (d, p) seem to coincide with the experimentally observed values with acceptable deviations. The impact of substitutions on the benzene structure is investigated. The molecular interactions between the substitutions (Cl, CH(3) and NH(2)) are also analyzed.  相似文献

FT-IR and FT-Raman (4000–100 cm−1) spectral measurements of 3-methyl-1,2-butadiene (3M12B) have been attempted in the present work. Ab-initio HF and DFT (LSDA/B3LYP/B3PW91) calculations have been performed giving energies, optimized structures, harmonic vibrational frequencies, IR intensities and Raman activities. Complete vibrational assignments on the observed spectra are made with vibrational frequencies obtained by HF and DFT (LSDA/B3LYP/B3PW91) at 6-31G(d,p) and 6-311G(d,p) basis sets. The results of the calculations have been used to simulate IR and Raman spectra for the molecule that showed good agreement with the observed spectra. The potential energy distribution (PED) corresponding to each of the observed frequencies are calculated which confirms the reliability and precision of the assignment and analysis of the vibrational fundamentals modes. The oscillation of vibrational frequencies of butadiene due to the couple of methyl group is also discussed. A study on the electronic properties such as HOMO and LUMO energies, were performed by time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) approach. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. The thermodynamic properties of the title compound at different temperatures reveal the correlations between standard heat capacities (C) standard entropies (S), and standard enthalpy changes (H).  相似文献

In this work, the comparative analysis is made on the structure and vibrational spectra of 1,2-Dinitro benzene (1,2-DNB) and 1-Fluoro-3-nitro benzene (1-F-3-NB) molecules. The FT-IR and FT-Raman experimental spectra of the molecules have been recorded using Bruker IFS 66 V spectrometer in the range of 4000-100 cm(-1). Making use of the recorded data, the complete vibrational assignments are made and analyses of the observed fundamental bands of molecules are carried out. The experimental determinations of vibrational frequencies are compared with those obtained theoretically from ab-initio Hartree-fock (HF) and DFT (B3LYP and B3PW91) methods with 6-31++G (d, p) and 6-311++G (d, p) basis sets. The differences between the observed and scaled wave number values of most of the fundamentals of the molecules are very small in B3LYP than HF. The geometries and normal modes of vibrations obtained from ab-initio HF and B3LYP/B3PW91 calculations are compared with the experimentally observed data. Comparison of the simulated spectra of the molecules provides important information regarding the difference and similarity of the vibrational characteristics between the molecules. The impact of substitutions on the structures between the molecules is also investigated.  相似文献

The FT-IR and FT-Raman vibrational spectra of 1,3-dichlorobenzene (1,3-DCB) have been recorded using Bruker IFS 66 V Spectrometer in the range 4000-100 cm(-1). A detailed vibrational spectral analysis has been carried out and assignments of the observed fundamental bands have been proposed on the basis of peak positions and relative intensities. The optimized molecular geometry, vibrational frequencies, atomic charges, dipole moment, rotational constants and several thermodynamic parameters in the ground state were calculated using ab initio Hartree-Fock (HF) and DFT (B3LYP) methods with 6-31++G (d, p) and 6-311++G (d, p) basis sets. With the help of different scaling factors, the observed vibrational wave numbers in FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra were analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wave numbers in the expected range. The inductive effect of Chlorine atoms in the benzene molecule has also been investigated.  相似文献

DFT(B3LYP) and 2 quantum chemical calculations have been performed for 1-substituted silatranes XSi(OCH2CH2)N (X = H, CH3, CH2Cl, F), their radical cations, and first ionization potentials (IP1) of these silatranes. The calculated values of IP1 agree well with the experiment and make it possible to assign the first band to IP1 in the photoelectron spectra. Analysis of spin density distribution and electronic charges in the radical cations suggests that ionization occurs mainly due to the lone electron pair of nitrogen, participating in intramolecular coordination. The N → Si interaction is broken, and the N...Si distance increases to 335–340 pm.  相似文献

The molecular geometry, the normal mode frequencies and corresponding vibrational assignment of melaminium phthalate (C3H7N6+·C8H5O4) in the ground state were performed by HF and B3LYP levels of theory using the 6-31G(d) basis set. The optimized bond length numbers with bond angles are in good agreement with the X-ray data. The vibrational spectra of melaminium phthalate which is calculated by HF and B3LYP methods, reproduces vibrational wave numbers with an accuracy which allows reliable vibrational assignments. The title compound has been studied in the 4000–100 cm−1 region where the theoretical evaluation and assignment of all observed bands were made.  相似文献

DFT calculations have been performed with the B3LYP and MPW1K functional on the hydrogen atom abstraction reactions of ethenoxyl with ethenol and of phenoxyl with both phenol and alpha-naphthol. Comparison with the results of G3 calculations shows that B3LYP seriously underestimates the barrier heights for the reaction of ethenoxyl with ethenol by both proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) and hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) mechanisms. The MPW1K functional also underestimates the barrier heights, but by much less than B3LYP. Similarly, comparison with the results of experiments on the reaction of phenoxyl radical with alpha-naphthol indicates that the barrier height for the preferred PCET mechanism is calculated more accurately by MPW1K than by B3LYP. These findings indicate that the MPW1K functional is much better suited than B3LYP for calculations on hydrogen abstraction reactions by both HAT and PCET mechanisms.  相似文献

The cysteine dichloride cadmium(II) potassium was synthesized and the structural analysis was carried out through the following methods: determination of the C, H, N, S and O contents, thermogravimetry, infrared and Raman spectra. Assuming Cd-S, Cd-O (O-carboxilate) and Cd-N bonds, several hypothetical structures were calculated by means DFT: B3LYP/3-21G(d) quantum mechanical method. The calculations shows that the Cd-S and Cd-N central bonds are favoured in the anion complex formation [Cd(Cys)Cl2]-, being the stabilization energy 55.52 kcal mol(-1) lower than isotopomers with Cd-S and Cd-O central bonds. Features of the infrared and Raman spectra confirm the theoretical structural prediction. Full assignment of the vibrational spectra is proposed based on the DFT procedure, and in order to confirm the C-H, N-H, C-C, C-N, Cd-N, Cd-S and Cd-Cl stretching and the HNH and HCH bending, a normal coordinate analysis based on local symmetry force field for -SC(H2)C-, -CdN(H2)C- and -SCd(Cl2)N- fragments was carried out.  相似文献

The molecular geometry, the normal mode frequencies and corresponding vibrational assignments, (1)H and (13)C NMR chemical shift values of 8-hydroxy-1-methylquinolinium iodide monohydrate [(C(10)H(10)NO)(+)I(-)H(2)O] in the ground state were performed by HF and B3LYP levels of theory using the LanL2DZ basis set. The optimized bond lengths and bond angles are in good agreement with the X-ray data. The vibrational spectra of the title compound which is calculated by HF and DFT methods, reproduces vibrational wave numbers and intensities with an accuracy which allows reliable vibrational assignments. The title compound [(C(10)H(10)NO)(+)I(-)H(2)O] have been studied theoretically in the 4, 000-200 cm(-1) region and the assignment of all the observed bands were made. The analysis of the infrared spectra indicates that there are some structure-spectra correlations. These methods are proposed as a tool to be applied in the structural characterization of 8-hydroxy-1-methylquinolinium iodide monohydrate [(C(10)H(10)NO)(+)I(-)H(2)O], and thus providing useful support in the interpretation of experimental NMR data.  相似文献

In the present study, structural properties of 2-[(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)-amino]-benzoic acid methyl ester have been studied extensively by spectral methods and X-ray crystallography. Quantum mechanical calculations of energies, geometries, vibrational wavenumbers, NMR and electronic transitions were carried out by DFT using B3LYP functional combined with 6-31G(d) basis set. Natural bond orbitals (NBO) analysis and frontier molecular orbitals were performed at the same level of theory. DFT calculations showed good agreement between the theoretical and experimental values of optimized and X-ray structure as well as between the vibrational and NMR spectroscopy. The title compound was screened for its antibacterial activity referring to Tetracycline as standard antibacterial agent.  相似文献

The structure of dl-serine.HCl was studied by three complementary techniques. Experimental Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra of pure NH/OH polycrystalline dl-serine.HCl [HO-CH2-CH(NH3+)-COOH.Cl(-)] and the respective deuterated derivatives [ND/ODAlcohol/Acid (<10% and ca. 60% D)] were recorded in the region 4000-400 cm(-1) in the temperature range 300-10 K and interpreted. The assignments were confirmed by comparison with the vibrational spectra of crystalline dl- and l-serine zwitterions [HO-CH 2-CH(NH3+)-COO(-)]. Further insight into the structure of the title compound was provided by theoretical DFT(B3LYP)/6-311++G(d,p) calculations of the infrared spectra and energies of 13 different conformers. Potential energy distributions resulting from normal co-ordinate analysis were calculated for the most stable conformer ( I) in its hydrogenated and deuterated modification. Frequencies of several vibrational modes were used in the estimation of enthalpies of individual H-bonds present in the crystal, using empirical correlations between enthalpy and the frequency shift that occurs as a result of the establishment of the H-bonds. X-ray crystallography data for dl-serine.HCl were recorded for the first time and, together with the experimental vibrational spectra and the theoretical calculations, allowed a detailed characterization of its molecular structure.  相似文献

In this work, the FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 1-naphthaleneacetic acid methyl ester (abbreviated as 1-NAAME, C10H7CH2CO2CH3) have been recorded in the region 3600–10 cm−1. The optimum molecular geometry, normal mode wavenumbers, infrared and Raman intensities, Raman scattering activities, corresponding vibrational assignments, Mullikan atomic charges and other thermo-dynamical parameters were investigated with the help of HF and B3LYP (DFT) method using 6-31G(d,p), 6-311G(d,p) basis sets. Reliable vibrational assignments were made on the basis of total energy distribution (TED) calculated with scaled quantum mechanical (SQM) method. From the calculations, the molecules are predicted to exist predominantly as the C1 conformer. The correlation equations between heat capacity, entropy, enthalpy changes and temperatures were fitted by quadratic formulae. Lower value in the HOMO and LUMO energy gap explains the eventual charge transfer interactions taking place within the molecule. UV–VIS spectral analyses of 1NAAME have been researched by theoretical calculations. In order to understand electronic transitions of the compound, TD-DFT calculations on electronic absorption spectra in gas phase and solvent (DMSO and chloroform) were performed. The calculated frontier orbital energies, absorption wavelengths (λ), oscillator strengths (f) and excitation energies (E) for gas phase and solvent (DMSO and chloroform) are also illustrated.  相似文献

The bis-serinenickel(II) complex was synthesized, and the Fourier-transforms infrared spectra in the regions 4000-370 and 700-30 cm(-1) was measured. The second derivative spectra and band deconvolution analysis was also obtained. Density functional theory calculations, DFT:B3LYP/6-311G, were performed for the determination of geometrical structure and vibrational assignment for the bis-serinenickel(II) complex. A full discussion of the framework vibrational modes was done using as criteria the geometry study of distorted structures generated for the vibrational modes. Incidentally, the normal coordinate analysis was carried out for the Ni(N)2(O)2 structural fragment. The calculated DFT spectra in the high and low energy regions agree well with the observed ones.  相似文献
