The critical behavior of the spin-1 bond and crystal field dilution Blume–Emery–Griffiths model have been investigated on simple-cubic lattice within the framework of the effective field theory. In particular, both bond dilution and random crystal field are considered at the same time. The interplay between bond and crystal field dilution constructs rich and interesting phase diagrams. Significant distinctions are exhibited. When positive ratio α changes in a certain range, there exist double tricritical points in phase-transition lines in TD plane. Moreover, this first-order phase transition is enlarged with increasing of ratio α at a fixed crystal field dilution concentration, while this first-order phase transition will shrink when bond dilution concentration is fixed. In addition, we observe that there exist two bond percolation thresholds for negative crystal field and α>0 in TP plane.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of the spin-1 bond and crystal field dilution Blume-Emery-Griffiths (BEG) model in the presence of magnetic field are investigated on a simple cubic lattice by using effective field theory (EFT). In the M-H plane, the common action of bond and crystal field dilution leads to the exhibition of an irregular initial magnetization curve and slows down the magnetization process. The peak of the susceptibility curve has an explicit decline and shows a distinct shift toward the direction of increase of magnetic field. On the other hand, in the M-T plane, the magnetization curves show a discontinuity and a vertical leap in the small range of magnetic field when the negative crystal field is larger and the ratio of biquadratic and exchange interaction is positive (α>0). These results have not been revealed in previous works.  相似文献

The phase diagrams and compensation behaviors of mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Blume-Capel model in a trimodal magnetic field are investigated in the framework of the effective field theory on simple cubic lattice. The change of negative crystal field and trimodal concentration can affect the TCP, the second-order phase and the magnetic field degeneration at ground state in T-H space. In T-D space, the trajectory of the TCP takes on the acre curve and there exist the two TCPs under certain condition. In addition to giving one or two compensation temperature points in M-T space, the mixed spin Blume-Capel model also provides one or two novel compensation magnetic field points in M-H space. Some results are not revealed in previous works.  相似文献

Phase diagrams and magnetization curves of a diluted spin-3/2 transverse Ising model in a random field on honeycomb lattices are investigated by the use of an effective-field theory with correlations. The tricritical point is found in the system, in contrast to the corresponding spin-1/2 Ising counterpart. The possible reentrant phenomena displayed by the system due to the competition effects that occur for appropriate ranges of the random and transverse fields are investigated.  相似文献

The ground-state magnetic properties of the spin-2 transverse Ising model with a longitudinal crystal field are studied within the framework of mean-field theory (MFT) and effective-field theory (EFT), respectively. The phase diagrams and magnetization curves are examined in detail. It is found that the system exhibits a tricritical behavior in the ground-state phase diagrams. Some interesting phenomena have been found, especially the first-order phase transition from one ordered phase to the other ordered phase, which is due to the high spin. The spin correlation has important effect on the magnetic properties of the system. We also find that the ground-state phase diagrams of the spin-2 transverse Ising model are very different from those of the spin-3/2 transverse Ising model.  相似文献

The static critical properties of the three-dimensional Ising model with quenched disorder are studied by the Monte-Carlo (MC) method on a simple cubic lattice, in which the quenched disorder is distributed as nonmagnetic impurities by the canonical manner. The calculations are carried out for systems with periodic boundary conditions and spin concentrations p=1.0; 0.95; 0.9; 0.8; 0.7; 0.6. The systems of non-linear sizes L×L×L, L=20-60 are researched. On the basis of the finite-size scaling (FSS) theory, the static critical exponents of specific heat α, susceptibility γ, magnetization β, and an exponent of the correlation radius in a studied interval of concentrations p are calculated. It is shown that the three-dimensional Ising model with quenched disorder has two regimes of the critical behavior universality in a dependence on nonmagnetic impurities.  相似文献

The phase diagrams of the spin-1 transverse Ising model with the presence of a crystal field is investigated by using an effective-field theory (EFT). We give a method to calculate the Gibbs free energy numerically at finite temperature within the EFT. The first-order transition lines are obtained by comparing the Gibbs free energy. The dynamics of the one-dimensional random transverse Ising model with both nearest-neighbor (NN) and next-nearest-neighbor (NNN) interactions is studied in the high-temperature limit by the method of recurrence relations. Both the time-dependent transverse correlation function and the corresponding spectral density are calculated for two typical disordered states. We find that for the case of bimodal disorder the dynamics of the system undergoes a crossover from a collective-mode behavior to a central-peak one and for the case of Gaussian disorder the dynamics is complex. For both cases, it is found that the central-peak behavior becomes more obvious and the collective-mode behavior becomes weaker as Ki increase, especially when Ki>Ji/2 (Ji and Ki are the exchange couplings of the NN and NNN interactions, respectively). However, the effects are small when the NNN interactions are weak (Ki<Ji/2).  相似文献

Within effective field theory (EFT), the critical properties of a random transverse crystal field Ising model with bond dilution are studied on a square lattice. Under both weak and strong bond dilution conditions, we consider three cases (α = 0,±0.5) of a transverse crystal field ratio, obtaining global phase diagrams in T−D x space for changes in the random transverse crystal field concentration. The phase diagrams obtained for a weak bond dilution are very similar in shape to those of pure bond but with decreases in corresponding ordered phases and critical values. However, the phase diagrams for a strong bond dilution exhibit varieties, including a change in reentrant phenomenon, the occurrence of transverse crystal field degeneration, and the opposite direction crossover of temperature peak value.  相似文献

In this work, the specific heat of NdNi2B2C was computed with the three sets of crystal-field parameters proposed by previous authors. All curves of the heat capacity plotted with the calculated results exhibit sharp peaks around the magnetic transition temperature TN as experimentally observed. To understand the mechanism of its magnetic ordering, we also calculated the magnetization of the material in low temperature region with the ground crystal-field (CF) level, the two lowest CF levels, and the full CF levels of J=9/2 multiplet respectively for comparison. Using the two eigenstates of the ground CF level, we derived a formula for 〈Jx〉 with mean-field approach for theoretical analysis. Both our numeric and theoretical results suggest that the two lowest CF levels play dominant roles in the magnetic process of the material below TN. It is also very interesting to notice that the ground CF level itself results in a larger TN, but the inclusion of the first excited CF doublet in calculations instead hinders the magnetic ordering, leading to a weakly reduced transition temperature.  相似文献

The phase diagrams of a two-sublattice Ising metamagnet at finite temperature in a mixed longitudinal field and a transverse magnetic field are investigated by the use of an effective-field theory (EFT) with correlations. In addition to the second-order transition lines, the first-order transition lines are also presented in the phase diagrams, since the Gibbs free energy can be calculated numerically. The results show that there is no fourth-order critical line in the phase diagrams given by using EFT as found by using mean-field theory (MFT). The tricritical lines and their projection in the thx plane obtained by using EFT are also quite different from those by using MFT. Only one type of phase diagram is obtained by using EFT while three kinds of phase diagrams are obtained by using MFT, which indicates that only the first kind of phase diagrams obtained by using MFT is reliable. Furthermore, it is shown that the region of first-order transitions increases as the transverse magnetic field hx decreases.  相似文献

The mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising chain with both longitude and transverse single-ion anisotropies Dz and Dx is solved exactly by means of a mapping to the spin-1/2 Ising chain with the alternating transverse fields and the Jordan-Wigner transformation. The analytical expressions of the quasi-particles' spectra Λk, the minimal energy gap Δ0 for exciting a fermion quasi-particle, the minimal energy gap Δh for exciting a hole, and the ground state energy are obtained. The phase diagram of the ground state is also given. The results show that when Dz?0 for any finite value of Dx, there is no quantum critical point and the ground state is always in a spin ordered phase disregard of the boundary condition in the present system.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamic hysteresis of nanoscale magnetic aggregates by employing Monte Carlo simulation, based on Ising model in non-integer dimensional space. The diffusion-limited aggregation (DLA) model with adjustable sticking probability is used to generate magnetic aggregates with different fractal dimension D. It is revealed that the exponential scaling law A(H0, ω)∼H0α·ωβ, where A is the hysteresis area, H0 and ω the amplitude and frequency of external magnetic field, applies to both the low-ω and high-ω regimes, while exponents α and β decrease with increasing D in the low-ω regime and keep invariant in the high-ω regime. A mean-field approach is developed to explain the simulated results.  相似文献

An Ising model with ferromagnetic nearest-neighbor interactions J1 (J1>0) and random next-nearest-neighbor interactions [+J2 with probability p and −J2 with probability (1−p); J2>0] is studied within the framework of an effective-field theory based on the differential-operator technique. The order parameters are calculated, considering finite clusters with n=1,2, and 4 spins, using the standard approximation of neglecting correlations. A phase diagram is obtained in the plane temperature versus p, for the particular case J1=J2, showing both superantiferromagnetic (low p) and ferromagnetic (higher values of p) orderings at low temperatures.  相似文献

The mixed spin- 1/2 and spin- 3/2 transverse Ising model in a longitudinal magnetic field is studied within the framework of the effective-field theory with correlations. In this approach the effective-field equations are derived by using a probability distribution method based on the generalized but approximated van der Waerden identities. The total longitudinal and transverse magnetizations, the transverse susceptibility and longitudinal susceptibility and the critical temperatures are obtained. We find a number of interesting phenomena in these quantities, due to the applied transverse field and the longitudinal field.  相似文献

By means of the density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) method, the static spin structure factors and the magnetization plateaus of the trimerized Heisenberg ferromagnet-ferromagnet-antiferromagnet and antiferromagnet-antiferromagnet-ferromagnet spin chains in the presence of a magnetic field are elaborately studied. It is found that in the plateau states, the static structure factor with three peaks does not vary with the external magnetic field as well as the exchange couplings; the spin correlation function behaves as a perfect sequence and has a simple relation with the magnetization per site. An approximate wave function for the plateau states is proposed, and a picture based on the valence-bond-solid states is presented in order to understand the origin and the total number of the magnetization plateaus, which are shown to be in agreement with the DMRG results.  相似文献

The ground state magnetic properties of a two-sublattice Ising metamegnet in both external longitudinal and transverse fields are studied within the mean-field approach. A parameter α=(Z1J1+Z2J2)/(Z1J1Z2J2) which reflects the strength ratio of spin coupling in the plane and in adjacent planes is introduced. The ground state energy, the longitudinal staggered magnetization, the longitudinal total magnetization and the transverse total magnetization are calculated. The ground state phase diagrams in Ωh and Ωα plane are presented. The results show that when Ω is given, the longitudinal critical magnetic field increases when α decreases; the phase transition changes always from first order to second order with increase in the longitudinal magnetic field h or decrease in α. The reentrant phenomenon occurs in the range α?−0.66, Ω?0.21, h?0.78.  相似文献

The effect of a longitudinal random crystal field interaction on the phase diagrams of the mixed spin transverse Ising model consisting of spin-1/2 and spin-1 is investigated within the finite cluster approximation based on a single-site cluster theory. In order to expand a cluster identity of spin-1, we transform the spin-1 to spin-1/2 representation containing Pauli operators. We derive the state equations applicable to structures with arbitrary coordination number N. The phase diagrams obtained in the case of a honeycomb lattice (N=3) and a simple-cubic lattice (N=6), are qualitatively different and examined in detail.
