In this paper we extend the results of Foias–Guillopé–Temam on the regularity and a priori estimates for the weak solutions of the Navier–Stokes equations. More specifically, we obtain upperbounds for the temporal averages of the Gevrey class norm for the weak solutions of the equations. The estimates are obtained first by getting integrated version of Foias–Temam's local in time estimate for Gevrey class norms of strong solutions and next by an induction procedure. We also strengthen slightly the local in time Gevrey class regularization of strong solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the solutions of micropolar fluid equations in space dimension two with periodic boundary condition. In this paper we consider some equations similar to Navier-Stokes equations, the three-dimensional Leray-alpha equations with space periodic boundary conditions. We establish the regularity of the equations by using the classical Faedo-Galerkin method. Our argument shows that there exist an unique weak solution and an unique strong solution for all the time for the Leray-alpha equations, furthermore, the strong solutions are analytic in time with values in the Gevrey class of functions (for the space variable). The relations between the Leray-alpha equations and the Navier-Stokes equations are also considered.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the inviscid limit for the periodic solutions to Navier–Stokes equation in the framework of Gevrey class. It is shown that the lifespan for the solutions to Navier–Stokes equation is independent of viscosity, and that the solutions of the Navier–Stokes equation converge to that of Euler equation in Gevrey class as the viscosity tends to zero. We obtain Gevrey regular mild solutions to the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations in R n with periodic boundary condition in a subset of the variables. The method is based on an extension of Young's convolution inequality in weighted Lebesgue spaces of measurable functions defined on locally compact abelian groups. This generalizes and provides a unified treatment of the Gevrey regularity result of Foias and Temam in the space periodic case and those of Le Jan and Sznitman and Lemarié–Rieusset in the whole space with no boundary.  相似文献

We address the strong unique continuation problem for higher order elliptic partial differential equations in 2D with Gevrey coefficients. We provide a quantitative estimate of unique continuation (observability estimate) and prove that the solutions satisfy the strong unique continuation property for ranges of the Gevrey exponent strictly including non-analytic Gevrey classes. As an application, we obtain a new upper bound on the Hausdorff length of the nodal sets of solutions with a polynomial dependence on the coefficients.  相似文献

In this paper, following the techniques of Foias and Temam, we establish suitable Gevrey class regularity of solutions to the supercritical quasi-geostrophic equations in the whole space, with initial data in “critical” Sobolev spaces. Moreover, the Gevrey class that we obtain is “near optimal” and as a corollary, we obtain temporal decay rates of higher order Sobolev norms of the solutions. Unlike the Navier–Stokes or the subcritical quasi-geostrophic equations, the low dissipation poses a difficulty in establishing Gevrey regularity. A new commutator estimate in Gevrey classes, involving the dyadic Littlewood–Paley operators, is established that allow us to exploit the cancellation properties of the equation and circumvent this difficulty.  相似文献

In this paper, following the techniques of Foias and Temam, we establish Gevrey class regularity of solutions to a class of dissipative equations with a general quadratic nonlinearity and a general dissipation including fractional Laplacian. The initial data is taken to be in Besov type spaces defined via “caloric extension”. We apply our result to the Navier–Stokes equations, the surface quasi-geostrophic equations, the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation and the barotropic quasi-geostrophic equation. Consideration of initial data in critical regularity spaces allow us to obtain generalizations of existing results on the higher order temporal decay of solutions to the Navier–Stokes equations. In the 3D case, we extend the class of initial data where such decay holds while in 2D we provide a new class for such decay. Similar decay result, and uniform analyticity band on the attractor, is also proven for the sub-critical 2D surface quasi-geostrophic equation.  相似文献

It is very likely that all local holomorphic solutions of integrable (1+1)-dimensional parabolic-type evolution equations can be obtained from the zero solution by formal gauge transformations that belong (as formal power series) to appropriate Gevrey classes. We describe in detail the construction of solutions by means of convergent gauge transformations and prove an assertion converse to the above conjecture; namely, we suggest a simple necessary condition for the existence of a local holomorphic solution to the Cauchy problem for the evolution equations under consideration in terms of scattering data of initial conditions.  相似文献

In this paper we derive some new equations and we call them MHD-Leray-alpha equations which are similar to the MHD equations. We put forward the concept of weak and strong solutions for the new equations. Whether the 3-dimensional MHD equations have a unique weak solution is unknown, however, there is a unique weak solution for the 3-dimensional MHD-Leray-alpha equations. The global existence of strong solution and the Gevrey class regularity for the new equations are also obtained. Furthermore, we prove that the solutions of the MHD-Leray-alpha equations converge to the solution of the MHD equations in the weak sense as the parameter ε in the new equations converges to zero.  相似文献

We study Gevrey asymptotics of the solutions to a family of threefold singular nonlinear partial differential equations in the complex domain. We deal with both Fuchsian and irregular singularities, and allow the presence of a singular perturbation parameter. By means of the Borel–Laplace summation method, we construct sectorial actual holomorphic solutions which turn out to share a same formal power series as their Gevrey asymptotic expansion in the perturbation parameter. This result rests on the Malgrange–Sibuya theorem, and it requires to prove that the difference between two neighboring solutions is exponentially small, what in this case involves an asymptotic estimate for a particular Dirichlet-like series.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the Gevrey regularity of solutions for a class of degenerate Monge–Ampère equations in the plane. Under the assumptions that one principal entry of the Hessian is strictly positive and the coefficient of the equation is degenerate with appropriately finite type degeneracy, we prove that the solution of the degenerate Monge–Ampère equation will be smooth in Gevrey classes.  相似文献
