New oscillation criteria are given for the second order sublinear differential equation
where a C 1 ([t 0, )) is a nonnegative function, , f C() with (x) 0, xf(x) / (x) > 0 for x 0, , f have continuous derivative on \ {0} with [f(x) / #x03C8;(x)] 0 for x 0 and q C([t 0, )) has no restriction on its sign. This oscillation criteria involve integral averages of the coefficients q and a and extend known oscillation criteria for the equation x (t) + q(t)x(t) = 0.  相似文献

Let 0 < c < s be fixed real numbers such that , and let f : E2 → E d for d ≥ 2 be a function such that for every p, qE 2 if |p − q| = c, then |f(p) − f(q)| ≤ c, and if |p − q| = s, then |f(p) − f(q)| ≥ s. Then f is a congruence. This result depends on and expands a result of Rádo et. al. [9], where a similar result holds, but for replacing . We also present a further extensions where E2 is replaced by E n for n > 2 and where the range of c/s is enlarged. In this paper, the boundedness of Toeplitz operator T b(f) related to strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators and Lipschitz function b ε (ℝn) is discussed from L p(ℝn) to L q(ℝn), , and from L p(ℝn) to Triebel-Lizorkin space . We also obtain the boundedness of generalized Toeplitz operator Θ α0 b from L p(ℝn) to L q(ℝn), . All the above results include the corresponding boundedness of commutators. Moreover, the boundedness of Toeplitz operator T b(f) related to strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators and BMO function b is discussed on L p(ℝn), 1 < p < ∞.  相似文献

We prove that the singular numbers of the Cauchy transform onL 2(D) are asymptotically , whiles n (C | L a 2 (D))1/n (whereL a 2 (D) is the subspace of analytic functions inL 2(D)). Also, the singular numbers of the logarithmic potential onL 2(D) are asympoticallys n (L)1/n, whiles n(L |L a 2 (D))1/n 2. In this work the Dirichlet series associated with real strongly q-multiplicative functions f(n) are studied. We will confine ourselves to the case i=0 q–1 f(i) = 0. It is known that in this case the function f (s) has an analytic continuation to the whole complex plane as an entire function with trivial zeros on the negative real line. The real function f (t) satisfying the integral equation with delayed argument for some nonzero real f naturally appears in the representation of the function f (s). In this article we find some asymptotic properties of the function f (s), prove that f (s) is an entire function of order 2, and also prove that in the region the function f (s) has only trivial zeros which are simple.  相似文献

We consider here a class of nonlinear Dirichlet problems, in a bounded domain , of the form
investigating the problem of uniqueness of solutions. The functions (s) and satisfy rather general assumptions of locally Lipschitz continuity (with possibly exponential growth) and the datum f is in L1(). Summary A characterization of compact sets in Lp (0, T; B) is given, where 1P and B is a Banach space. For the existence of solutions in nonlinear boundary value problems by the compactness method, the point is to obtain compactness in a space Lp (0,T; B) from estimates with values in some spaces X, Y or B where XBY with compact imbedding XB. Using the present characterization for this kind of situations, sufficient conditions for compactness are given with optimal parameters. As an example, it is proved that if {fn} is bounded in Lq(0,T; B) and in L loc 1 (0, T; X) and if {fn/t} is bounded in L loc 1 (0, T; Y) then {fn} is relatively compact in Lp(0,T; B), p相似文献

We construct a Rankin Selberg integral to represent the exterior cube L function L(,3,s) of an automorphic cuspidal module of GL6( F ) (where F is a number field). We determine the poles of this L function and find period conditions for the special value L(,3,1/2). We use the Siegal Weil formula. We also state an analogue of the Gross–Prasad conjecture concerning a criterion for the nonvanishing of L(,3,1/2).  相似文献

We investigate the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the simplest nonlinear q-difference equations having the form x(qt+ 1) = f(x(t)), q> 1, t R +. The study is based on a comparison of these equations with the difference equations x(t+ 1) = f(x(t)), t R +. It is shown that, for not very large q> 1, the solutions of the q-difference equation inherit the asymptotic properties of the solutions of the corresponding difference equation; in particular, we obtain an upper bound for the values of the parameter qfor which smooth bounded solutions that possess the property as T and tend to discontinuous upper-semicontinuous functions in the Hausdorff metric for graphs are typical of the q-difference equation.  相似文献

Summary For a complex polynomial,f:( n+1 ,0) (, 0), with a singular set of complex, dimensions at the origin, we define a sequence of varieties—the Lê varieties, f (k) , off at 0. The multiplicities of these varieties, f (k) , generalize the Milnor number for an isolated singularity. We give a formula for the values of irreducible unipotent p-modular Brauer characters of at unipotent elements, where p is a prime not dividing q, in terms of (unknown!) weight multiplicities of quantum GL n and certain generic polynomials S ,(q). These polynomials arise as entries of the transition matrix between the renormalized Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions and the forgotten symmetric functions. We also provide an alternative combinatorial algorithm working in the Hall algebra for computing S ,(q).  相似文献

For a prime number p5, consider a family of cusp eigenforms f (k) of weight k , k {f (k)= n=1 a n (f (k))q n } containing f=f (k), such that the Fourier coefficients a n (f (k)) are given by certain p-adic analytic functions k a n (f (k)). The purpose of this paper is to construct a two variable p-adic L function attached to Colemans family {f (k)} of cusp eigenforms of a fixed positive slope =v p ( p )>0 where p = p (k ) is an eigenvalue (which depends on k ) of the Atkin operator U=U p . Our p-adic L-function interpolates the special values L f(k)(s,) at points (s,k ) with s=1,2,...,k -1. We give a construction using the Rankin-Selberg method and the theory of p-adic integration on a profinite group Y with values in an affinoid K-algebra A, where K is a fixed finite extension of Q p . Our p-adic L-functions are p-adic Mellin transforms of certain A-valued measures. In their turn, such measures come from Eisenstein distributions with values in certain Banach A-modules M =M (N;A) of families of overconvergent forms over A. The interpolation problem at uniform mesh points of a quadratic splines(x i)=f i,i=0, 1,...,N ands(x 0)=f0 is considered. It is known that s–f=O(h 3) and s–f=O(h 2), whereh is the step size, and that these orders cannot be improved. Contrary to recently published results we prove that superconvergence cannot occur for any particular point independent off other than mesh points wheres=f by assumption.
