EPR spectroscopic investigations on single crystals of diaquabis[malonato(1-)-κ2O,O′] zinc(II) doped with VO(II) ion have been carried out at X-band frequencies and at 300 K. The single crystal, rotated along the three mutually orthogonally axes, has yielded spin-Hamiltonian parameters g and A as: gxx=1.980, gyy=1.972, gzz=1.937 and Axx=8.4, Ayy=6.1, Azz=18.1 mT, respectively. These spin-Hamiltonian parameters reflect a slight deviation from axial symmetry to rhombic, which is elucidated by the interstitial occupation of vanadyl ions. The isofrequency plots and powder EPR spectrum have been simulated. The percentage of metal-oxygen bond has been estimated. The optical absorption spectrum exhibits four bands at 257, 592, 720 and 764 nm suggesting a C4v symmetry. The admixture coefficients and bonding parameters have also been calculated by collaborating EPR data with optical data.  相似文献

A new coumarin chalcone 3-((2E)-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl) prop-2-enoyl)-4-hydroxy-2(H)-chromen-2-one was synthesized using the Claisen Schmidt reaction by the condensation of 3-acetyl-4-hydroxycoumarin and 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde using a mild organic base. This novel compound was characterized by 1H NMR, FT-IR and UV–vis spectroscopy. Single crystal X-ray diffraction investigation at low temperature (T=120 K) shows that this compound exhibits an intramolecular O3–H…O hydrogen bond, the coumarin ring and the phenyl group are nearly coplanar and the crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular O3–H…O contacts and ππ stacking interactions. This ortho-hydroxyphenyl-4-hydroxycoumarin chalcone exhibits a strong blue-green emission under visible light excitation at 470 nm. The fluorescence behaviors of this compound doped in poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) were investigated.  相似文献

The crystalline structure of a new compound containing the 1,3,4-oxadiazole moiety, 4-(5-methyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2yl-)-N,N′-dimethyl-phenylamine (MODPA) was determined. It shows a monoclinic structure with space group P21/c and lattice parameters: a=1.02997(6), b=0.64840(4), c=1.58117(10) nm and β=99.4820(10)°. To study the intermolecular interactions in oxadiazole containing organic crystals, X-ray studies on MODPA and 2,5-diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole (DPO) were performed up to 5 GPa at room temperature. The Murnaghan equation of state is used to describe the compression behaviour of both substances. From these results, the bulk modulus and its pressure derivative were determined. The values obtained are: K0=6.3 GPa and K0=6.8 for MODPA and K0=7.3 GPa and K0=6.7 for DPO. Additionally, measurements under increasing temperature at ambient pressure were carried out to evaluate the thermal expansion coefficient: α=1.8×10−4 K−1 for MODPA and α=1.9×10−4 K−1 for DPO.  相似文献

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and infrared (IR) spectroscopy were used to study the formation of ruthenium and adsorbed species appearing on the catalyst during O2, NO, and CO adsorption at room temperature on 1 wt% Ru/MgF2 catalysts prepared from Ru3(CO)12 . Both EPR and IR results provided clear evidence for the interaction between surface ruthenium and probe molecules. No EPR signals due to ruthenium (Ru) species were recorded at 300 and 77 K after H2-reduction of the catalyst at 673 K. However, at 4.2 K a very weak EPR spectrum due to low-spin (4d5) Ru3+ complexes was detected. A weak anisotropic O2- radicals signal with g∣∣=2.017 and g=2.003 superimposed on a broad (ΔBpp=120 mT), slightly asymmetric line at g=2.45(1) was identified after O2 admission to the reduced sample. Adsorption of NO gives only a broad, Gaussian-shaped EPR line at g=2.43(1) indicating that the admission of NO, similarly to O2 adsorption, brings about an oxidation of Ru species in the course of the NO decomposition reaction. Introduction of NO over the CO preadsorbed catalyst leads to EPR spectrum with parameters g=1.996, g∣∣=1.895, and AN=2.9 mT assigned to surface NO species associated with Ru ions. The IR spectra recorded after adsorption of NO or CO probe molecules showed the bands in the range of frequency characteristic of ruthenium nitrosyl, nitro, and nitrate/nitrite species and the bands characteristic of ruthenium mono-and multicarbonyls, respectively. Addition of CO after NO admission to the catalyst leads to appearance in the IR spectrum, beside the ones characteristic of NO adsorption, the bands which can be attributed to Ru-CO2 and Ru-NCO species, indicating that the reaction between NO and CO occurs. These species were also detected after CO adsorption followed by NO adsorption, additionally to the band at 1850 cm−1 being due to cis-type species.  相似文献

Structural, dielectric, and ferroelectric properties of a novel high-k ‘Y5V’ (Ba1−xLax)(Ti1−x/4−yCey)O3 ceramics (where x=0.03 and y=0.05, denoted by BL3TC5) with the highest ‘Y5V’ dielectric response (ε′>10 000) among rare-earth-doped BaTiO3 ceramics to date are investigated in detail using SEM, TEM, XRD, DSC, EPR, Raman spectroscopy (RS), temperature and frequency, electric field dependences of dielectric permittivity (ε′), and temperature and electric field dependences of ferroelectric hysteresis loops. The BL3TC5 diffusion of ferroelectric phase transition occurs around dielectric peak temperatures (Tm) near a room temperature characteristic of dielectric thermal relaxation. Powder XRD data and defect complex model were given. “Relaxor” behavior associated with an order/disorder model and formation of a solid solution were discussed. The EPR results provided the evidence of Ti vacancies as compensating for lattice defects. High-k relaxor nature of BL3TC5 is characterized by an average cubic structure with long-range lattice disordering and local polar ordering; a slow change of the ε′ (T) and Pr(T) curves around Tm; no phase transition observed by DSC; and a broad, red-shifted A1 (TO2) Raman phonon mode at 251 cm−1 accompanying the disappearance of the “silent” mode at 305 cm−1 and a clear anti-resonance effect at 126 cm−1 at room temperature.  相似文献

Magnetic and EPR data have been collected for complex [Cu(L-Arg)2](NO3)2·3H2O (Arg=arginine). Magnetic susceptibility χ in the temperature range 2-160 K, and a magnetization isotherm at T=2.29(1) K with magnetic fields between 0 and 9 T were measured. The observed variation of χT with T indicates predominant antiferromagnetic interactions between Cu(II) ions coupled in 1D chains along the b axis. Fitting a molecular field model to the susceptibility data allows to evaluate g=2.10(1) for the average g-factor and J=−0.42(6) cm−1 for the nearest neighbor exchange coupling (defined as Hex=-∑JijSi·Sj). This coupling is assigned to syn-anti equatorial-apical carboxylate bridges connecting Cu(II) ion neighbors at 5.682 Å, with a total bond length of 6.989 Å and is consistent with the magnetization isotherm results. It is discussed and compared with couplings observed in other compounds with similar exchange bridges. EPR spectra at 9.77 were obtained in powder samples and at 9.77 and at 34.1 GHz in the three orthogonal planes of single crystals. At both microwave frequencies, and for all magnetic field orientations a single signal arising from the collapse due to exchange interaction of resonances corresponding to two rotated Cu(II) sites is observed. From the EPR results the molecular g-tensors corresponding to the two copper sites in the unit cell were evaluated, allowing an estimated lower limit |J |>0.1 cm−1 for the exchange interaction between Cu(II) neighbors, consistent with the magnetic measurements. The observed angular variation of the line width is attributed to dipolar coupling between Cu(II) ions in the lattice.  相似文献

We synthesized two new compounds: Sodium 2-(4′-dimethyl-aminocinnamicacyl)-3,3-(1′,3′- ethyl- enedithio) acrylate (STAA-1) and Sodium 2-(4′-dimethyl-aminocinnamicacyl)-3, 3-(1′,3′-propylenedithio) acrylate (STAA-2). The maximum absorption of these compounds ranges from 460 to 520 nm with different molecular structures in different solvents. Meanwhile, the emission peak of these compounds arranges from yellow (510 nm) to red (605 nm). The emission spectra show red shift according to the strength of the hydrogen bonding property of the solvent. But the absorption spectra do not show clearly relationship with the strength of the hydrogen bonding property of the solvent. The Stoke shift of the compounds ranges from 42 to 102 nm. It changes in the following order, EtOH>H2O>DMF, and STAA-1>STAA-2 in the same solvent. The fluorescent quantum yield of STAA-1 was measured to be 7.12% with quinine sulphate as the standard compound in ethanol. Furthermore, the relationship of the fluorescence of STAA-1 with pH (ranges form 4 to 14) in water (c=∼10−4) was studied to make sure that these compounds could be used as proton sensors.  相似文献

We use wavelength tunable femtosecond pulses to measure intrinsic (simultaneous) two-photon absorption (2PA) and three-photon absorption (3PA) molecular cross section in two series of π-conjugated dendrimers built of identical 4,4′-bis(diphenylamino) stilbene (BDPAS) and 4,4′-bis(diphenylamino) distyrylbenzene (BDPADSB) repeat units. Record large 2PA cross sections, σ2=10−46 cm4 s are obtained for the largest second-generation BDPAS-based dendrimer, as well as zeroth-generation 4-arm BDPADSB-based dendrimer. In both series, maximum 2PA cross section increases nonlinearly with the number of π-electrons, whereas for higher generations this dependence turns to linear one. 3PA cross section also increases nonlinearly with the size of the system in the series of BDPAS-based molecules, amounting a record large value, σ3=10−79 cm6 s2, for the largest, second-generation dendrimer. We interpret these results in terms of direct inter-branch conjugation, which facilitates cooperative enhancement of the nonlinear-optical response. We propose a simple model which allows us to determine the effective size of coherent domains (extent of conjugation), which, in turn, determines the optimum dendrimer size for most efficient nonlinear response.  相似文献

Nano-crystalline hydroxyapatite (HA), Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 has been synthesized by a precipitate conversion technique using hydroxide gel at lower temperatures, e.g. 80 °C. HA crystallizes in hexagonal structure (space group: P63/m) having lattice parameters: and and around 17 nm in crystallite-size for the 80 °C-heated sample. SEM micrographs show hexagonal crystallites of average particle dimensions approximately 50×20 nm for 80 °C heated sample. The structure analysis by XRD, FTIR, 1H and 31P MAS NMR show the existence of structural disorder at the particle surface that either does not form hydrogen bonding due to lack of adequate bonding parameters or forms a very weak dipolar bonding. The structural disorder has been explained as a result of chemical interactions between the phosphate groups either with the surface adsorbed water or the hydroxyl groups at the surface of the nano-particles.  相似文献

Three nickel complexes with a new multi-sulfur 1,2-dithiolene ligand, (n-Bu4N)[Ni(cddt)2] 1, (Ph4P)[Ni(cddt)2] 2 and [Ni(cddt)2] 3 (cddt=4a, 6, 7, 7a-5H-cyclopenta[b]-1,4-dithiin-2,3-dithiolate), have been synthesized and characterized by electrochemical measurements, IR, EPR and UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopies. The crystal structure of complex 2 is determined. Their optical nonlinearities are measured by the Z-scan technique with an 8 ns pulsed laser at 532 nm and all exhibit NLO absorptive abilities. Complexes 1 and 2 both exhibit effective self-defocusing performance (n2=−5.81×10−10 esu for 1 and −4.51×10−10 esu for 2). The optical limiting (OL) effects were observed with nanosecond and picosecond laser pulses. The OL capability of complex 3 is superior to C60 at the same experimental condition in ns measurements.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of a new molecular silver precursor is reported. The presented complex [Ag(DioxoNic)2]NO3 (DioxoNic=(2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl nicotinate) can be obtained by the reaction of silver(I) nitrate and (2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl nicotinate in ethanol. The product crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c (No. 14). Concentrated ethanolic solutions allow the fabrication of thin films via dip coating. Using UV-irradiation and subsequent moderate temperature treatment compact films of elemental silver can be obtained. The resulting silver films show excellent electrical properties with sheet resistances down to 0.7 Ω/sq at a film thickness of 25 nm corresponding to a specific electrical resistance of 1.75×10−8 Ωm very close to the value of bulk silver. For the potential application in optoelectronic devices, the complex was tested as an ink in a soft printing process for the preparation of patterned silver films.  相似文献

A new molecular solid, [1-(4′-bromo-2′-fluorobenzyl)-4-dimetylaminopyridinium]-bis(maleonitriledithiolato)nickel(III), (BrFBzPyN(CH3)2(Ni(mnt)2)(1), has been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, ESI-MS spectra, single crystal X-ray diffraction and magnetic measurements. Compound 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma, a=20.579(4) Å, b=7.078(1) Å, c=17.942(4) Å, α=β=γ=90°, V=2613.3(9) Å3, Z=4. The Ni(III) ions of 1 form a quasi-one-dimensional Zigzag magnetic chain within a Ni(mnt)2 column through Ni?S, S?S, Ni?Ni, or π?π interactions with an Ni?Ni distance of 4.227 Å. Magnetic susceptibility measurements in the temperature range 2-300 K show that 1 exhibits a spin-gap transition around 200 K, and antiferromagnetic interaction in the high-temperature phase (HT) and spin gap in the low-temperature phase (LT). The transition for 1 is second-order phase transition as determined by DSC analyses.  相似文献

The single crystal of [Ni(ina)2(H2O)4]·(sac)2, (NINS), (ina is isonicotinamide and sac is saccharinate) complex has been prepared and its structural, spectroscopic and thermal properties have been determined. The title complex crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group P21/c, Z=2. The octahedral Ni(II) ion, which rides on a crystallographic centre of symmetry, is coordinated by two monodentate ina ligands through the ring nitrogen and four aqua ligands to form discrete [Ni(ina)2(H2O)4] unit, which captures two saccharinate ions in up and down positions, each through intermolecular hydrogen bands. The magnetic environment of copper(II) doped NINS crystal has also been identified by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) technique. The g and A values of Cu2+ doped NINS single crystal were calculated from the EPR spectra recorded in three mutually perpendicular planes. These values indicated that the paramagnetic centre has a rhombic symmetry with the Cu2+ ion having distorted octahedral environment. The complex exhibits only metal centred electroactivity in the potential range of −2.00, 1.25 V versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode.  相似文献

Cu(im)6 complexes in Zn(im)6Cl2·4H2O exhibit a strong Jahn-Teller effect which is static below 100 K and the complex in localized in the two low-energy potential wells. We have reinvestigated electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra in the temperature range 4.2-300 K and determined the deformation directions produced by the Jahn-Teller effect, energy difference 11 cm−1 between the wells and energy 300 cm−1 of the third potential well. The electron spin relaxation was measured by electron spin echo (ESE) method in the temperature range of 4.2-45 K for single crystal and powder samples. The spin-lattice relaxation is dominated by a local mode of vibration with energy 11 cm−1 at low temperatures. We suppose that this mode is due to reorientations (jumps) of the Cu(im)6 complex between the two lowest energy potential wells. At intermediate temperatures (15-35 K), the T1 relaxation is determined by the two-phonon Raman processes in acoustic phonon spectrum with Debye temperature ΘD=167 K, whereas at higher temperatures the relaxation is governed by the optical phonon of energy 266 cm−1. The ESE dephasing is produced by an instantaneous diffusion below 15 K with the temperature-independent phase memory time , then it grows exponentially with temperature with an activation energy of 97 cm−1. This is the energy of the first excited vibronic level. The thermal population of this level leads to a transition from anisotropic to isotropic EPR spectrum observed around 90 K. FT-ESE gives ESEEM spectrum dominated by quadrupole peaks from non-coordinating 14N atom of the imidazole rings and the peak from double quantum transition νdq. We show that the amplitude of the νdq transition can be used to determine the number of non-coordinating nitrogen atoms.  相似文献

Crystal structure, thermogravimetry (TG), thermal expansion coefficient (TEC), electrical conductivity and AC impedance of (Ba0.5Sr0.5)1-xLaxCo0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (BSLCF; 0.05?x?0.20) were studied in relation to their potential use as intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell (IT-SOFC) cathode. A single cubic pervoskite was observed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The TEC of BSLCF was increasing slightly with the increasing content of La, and all the compounds showed abnormal expansion at high temperature. Proved by the TG result, it was associated with the loss of lattice oxygen. The electrical conductivity, which is the main defect of Ba0.5Sr0.5 Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (BSCF), was improved by La doping, e.g., the compound of x=0.20 demonstrated a conductivity of σ=376 S cm−1 at 392 °C. The increase of electrical conductivity resulted from the increased concentration of charge carrier induced by La doping. In addition, the AC impedance revealed the better electrochemical performance of BSLCF. For example, at 500 °C, the sample with composition x=0.15 yielded the resistance values of 2.12 Ω cm2, which was only 46% of BSCF.  相似文献

X-band electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) studies on divalent copper ions embedded in KMgClSO4·3H2O single crystals have been performed at low temperature (123 K). The angular variation of the EPR spectra reveals the presence of two Cu2+ sites, which have different orientations. The spin-Hamiltonian parameters of this six-coordinated cupric ion have been evaluated from the EPR spectra at 123 K. The forbidden lines due to ΔmI=±1 transitions are observed in between allowed transitions. The temperature variation EPR studies have also been performed both for a single crystal and a polycrystalline sample. The ground state wavefunction of Cu2+ ions has been estimated and is found to be an admixture of d3z2r2 and dx2y2. The temperature variation of the EPR spectra reveals that Cu2+ ions exhibit dynamic Jahn-Teller effect. From the polycrystalline EPR data, the temperature dependent magnetic susceptibilities are evaluated and discussed.  相似文献

EPR spectra of VO2+ ions doped in KZnClSO4·3H2O single crystals have been studied at different temperatures. The EPR spectrum shows a well-resolved hyperfine and superhyperfine structure patterns. The angular variation of EPR spectra reveals the presence of more than three magnetic complexes, which correspond to distinct sites of VO2+ ion. From the angular variation EPR data, the spin-Hamiltonian parameters are evaluated and discussed. The optical absorption spectrum studied at room temperature shows bands corresponding to C4v symmetry. From the EPR and optical data, the molecular-orbital bonding coefficient ε2 and β2 are evaluated and discussed. The observed five-line superhyperfine structure has been attributed to four protons (with I=1/2) from the surrounding water molecules of one of the vanadyl sites.  相似文献

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) investigations has been carried out on the new family of molybdenum doped vanadium sesquioxides (V1−xMox)2−δO3. The oxidation effects were monitored from the rate of paramagnetic V4+ created when the sample is exposed to the air. The effects of the oxidation time, sample temperature, and annealing at 1000 °C under a diluted hydrogen atmosphere on the EPR signal features are analyzed. The V4+ concentration in the oxidized samples is determined and the relaxation effects driven by the conduction electrons are pointed out from the thermal behaviour of the EPR line features. EPR spectra of all the oxidized samples also reveal a small ferromagnetic contribution strongly correlated with the V4+ content.  相似文献

Al/Ni bilayer cathode was used to improve the electroluminescent (EL) efficiency and stability in N,N′-bis(1-naphthyl)-N,N′-diphenyl-1,1′ biphenyl 4,4′-dimaine (NPB)/tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq3)-based organic light-emitting diodes. The device with LiF/Al/Ni cathode achieved a maximum power efficiency of 2.8 lm/W at current density of 1.2 mA/cm2, which is 1.4 times the efficiency of device with the state-of-the-art LiF/Al cathode. Importantly, the device stability was significantly enhanced due to the utilization of LiF/Al/Ni cathode. The lifetime at 30% decay in luminance for LiF/Al/Ni cathode was extrapolated to 400 h at an initial luminance of 100 cd/m2, which is 10 times better than the LiF/Al cathode.  相似文献
