Morrey Regularity of Solutions to Degenerate Elliptic Equations in Rn

In this paper, we study the Morrey regularity of solutions to the de- generate elliptic equation -(a_{ij}u_{xi})_{xj} = -(f_j)_{xj} in R^n. For this purpose, we introduce four weighted Morrey spaces in R^n.     

Higher Integrability of the Gradient in Degenerate Elliptic Equations

We prove that under some global conditions on the maximum and the minimum eigenvalue of the matrix of the coefficients, the gradient of the (weak) solution of some degenerate elliptic equations has higher integrability than expected. Technically we adapt the Giaquinta–Modica regularity method in some degenerate cases. When the dimension is two, a consequence of our result is a new Hölder continuity result for the weak solution.     

On the Dirichlet Problem for a System of Degenerate at a Point Elliptic Equations in the Class of Bounded Functions

We consider a weakly connected (by the lowest terms) system of elliptic equations of second order with the main part in the form of the Laplace operator, the order of which becomes degenerate at an interior point of the domain. We investigate a Dirichlet-type problem in the class of bounded Hölder vector functions. We obtain sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of a solution.     

Hölder Estimates for A Class of Degenerate Elliptic Equations

In this paper we study the regularity theory of the solutions of a class of degenerate elliptic equations in divergence form. By introducing a proper distance and applying the compactness method we establish the Hölder type estimates for the weak solutions.     

On Error Bounds for Approximation Schemes for Non-Convex Degenerate Elliptic Equations

In this paper we provide estimates of the rates of convergence of monotone approximation schemes for non-convex equations in one space-dimension. The equations under consideration are the degenerate elliptic Isaacs equations with x-depending coefficients, and the results applies in particular to certain finite difference methods and control schemes based on the dynamic programming principle. Recently, Krylov, Barles, and Jakobsen obtained similar estimates for convex Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equations in arbitrary space-dimensions. Our results are only valid in one space-dimension, but they are the first results of this type for non-convex second-order equations.

Irregular Solutions of Linear Degenerate Elliptic Equations

We give examples of discontinuous solutions and of unbounded solutions of linear isotropic degenerate elliptic equations. Discontinuous solutions exist even when both the maximum eigenvalue and the inverse of the minimum eigenvalue of the matrix of the coefficients are in the intersection of all the Lp spaces.     

Local Well-posedness for Linearized Degenerate MHD Boundary Layer Equations in Analytic Setting

In this note we derive MHD boundary layer equations according to viscosity and resistivity coefficients. Especially, when these viscosity and resistivity coefficients are of different orders, it leads to degenerate MHD boundary layer equations. We prove these degenerate boundary layers are stable around a steady solution.

Bifurcation from Infinity for Asymptotically Linear Elliptic Eigenvalue Problems

In this paper we are going to discuss bifurcation from infinity for asymptotically linear elliptic eigenvalue problems having nonlinear boundary conditions. Behavior of the bifurcation components is also studied.     

Stability of Solution of a Class of Quasilinear Elliptic Equations

In this paper, using capacity theory and extension theorem of Lipschitz functions we first discuss the uniqueness of weak solution of nonhomogeneous quasilinear elliptic equationsin space W(θ,p)(Ω), which is bigger than W1,p(Ω). Next, using revise reverse Holder inequality we prove that if ωc is uniformly p-think, then there exists a neighborhood U of p, such that for all t ∈U, the weak solutions of equation corresponding t are bounded uniformly. Finally, we get the stability of weak solutions on exponent p.

Two Dimensional Interface Problems for Elliptic Equations

We study the structure of solutions to the interface problems for second order quasi-linear elliptic partial differential equations in two dimensional space. We prove that each weak solution can be decomposed into two parts near singular points, a finite sum of functions in the form of cr^α log^m rφ(θ) and a regular one w. The coefficients c and the C^{1,α} norm of w depend on the H¹-norm and the C^{º,α}-norm of the solution, and the equation only.     

Nonlinear Degenerate Oblique Boundary Value Problems for Second Order Fully Nonlinear Elliptic Equations

In this paper we study the existence theorem for solution of the nonlinear degenerate oblique boundary value problems for second order fully nonlinear elliptic equations F(x, u, Du, D²u) = 0 \quad x ∈ Ω, G(x, u, D, u) = 0, \qquad x ∈ ∂Ω where F (x, z, p, r) satisfies the natural structure conditions, G (x, z, q) satisfies G_q ≥ 0, G_x ≤ - G_0 < 0 and some structure conditions, vector τ is nowhere tangential to ∂Ω. This result extends the works of Lieberman G. M., Trudinger N. S. [2], Zhu Rujln [1] and Wang Feng [6].     

Elliptic Equations with Degenerate Coercivity： Gradient Regularity

In this paper, we prove higher integrability results for the gradient of the solutions of some elliptic equations with degenerate coercivity whose prototype is where for example, a(x,u)=(1+|u|)^−θ with θ ∈ (0,1). We study the same problem for minima of functionals closely related to the previous equation.     

一类非线性四阶椭圆型方程的极值原理及其特征值问题

主要应用 Hopf极值原理 ,对一类非线性四阶椭圆型方程Δ2 u +h( x,u,Δu) =0进行研究 ,得到解的泛函的极值原理 .类似的文章结果也有许多 ,其方法均为构造适当的“P-泛函”,但是以前的结果都对方程有较强的要求限制 .本文通过构造新的泛函 ,减弱了要求限制 .同时对方程Δ2 u +λh( x,u,Δu) =0的特征值给出了估计 .
