A Lyapunov-type stability criterion using norms

Let be a -periodic potential such that . The classical Lyapunov criterion to stability of Hill's equation is , where is the negative part of . In this paper, we will use a relation between the (anti-)periodic and the Dirichlet eigenvalues to establish some lower bounds for the first anti-periodic eigenvalue. As a result, we will find the best Lyapunov-type stability criterion using norms of , . The numerical simulation to Mathieu's equation shows that the new criterion approximates the first stability region very well.

By using the variational Lyapunov method and Razumikhin technique, the stability criteria in terms of two measures for impulsive delay differential systems are established. The known results are generalized and improved. An example is worked out to illustrate the advantages of the theorems.     

On Stability of Solutions to One Class of Nonlinear Difference Systems

We consider some class of systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. We adjust the difference schemes corresponding to the equations under study in order to guarantee agreement between differential and difference systems in the sense of stability of the zero solution. We obtain conditions under which perturbations do not violate the asymptotic stability of solutions to difference systems.

Exponential Stability in Mean Square for a General Class of Discrete-Time Linear Stochastic Systems

Abstract

The problem of the mean square exponential stability for a class of discrete-time linear stochastic systems subject to independent random perturbations and Markovian switching is investigated. The case of the linear systems whose coefficients depend both to present state and the previous state of the Markov chain is considered. Three different definitions of the concept of exponential stability in mean square are introduced and it is shown that they are not always equivalent. One definition of the concept of mean square exponential stability is done in terms of the exponential stability of the evolution defined by a sequence of linear positive operators on an ordered Hilbert space. The other two definitions are given in terms of different types of exponential behavior of the trajectories of the considered system. In our approach the Markov chain is not prefixed. The only available information about the Markov chain is the sequence of probability transition matrices and the set of its states. In this way one obtains that if the system is affected by Markovian jumping the property of exponential stability is independent of the initial distribution of the Markov chain.

The definition expressed in terms of exponential stability of the evolution generated by a sequence of linear positive operators, allows us to characterize the mean square exponential stability based on the existence of some quadratic Lyapunov functions.

The results developed in this article may be used to derive some procedures for designing stabilizing controllers for the considered class of discrete-time linear stochastic systems in the presence of a delay in the transmission of the data.

讨论了二维非定常不可压Navier-Stokes方程的两重网格方法．此方法包括在粗网格上求解一个非线性问题,在细网格上求解一个Stokes问题．采用一种新的全离散(时间离散用Crank-Nicolson格式,空间离散用混合有限元方法)格式数值求解N-S方程．证明了该全离散格式的稳定性．给出了L2误差估计．对比标准有限元方法,在保持同样精度的前提下,TGM能节省大量的计算量．

Stability of Solution of a Class of Quasilinear Elliptic Equations

In this paper, using capacity theory and extension theorem of Lipschitz functions we first discuss the uniqueness of weak solution of nonhomogeneous quasilinear elliptic equationsin space W(θ,p)(Ω), which is bigger than W1,p(Ω). Next, using revise reverse Holder inequality we prove that if ωc is uniformly p-think, then there exists a neighborhood U of p, such that for all t ∈U, the weak solutions of equation corresponding t are bounded uniformly. Finally, we get the stability of weak solutions on exponent p.     

On Stability of Solutions of a Certain Fourth—Order Functional Differential Equations

Using a Razumikhin-type theorem,we obtain sufficient conditions for the global asymptoticstability of the zero solution of a certain fourth order functional differential equations.The resultgeneralizes the well known results.
