Factoriality in the cyclic component of the vacuum for the energy representation of SU(n)-valued paths groups is proved. The main tool is a lemma concerning generic pairs of Cartan subalgebras in the Lie algebra su(n) of SU(n) groups.  相似文献

We prove that Holman's hypergeometric series well-poised in SU(n) satisfy a general difference equation. We make use of the “path sum” function developed by Biedenharn and this equation to show that a special class of these series, multiplied by simple products, may be regarded as a U(n) generalization of Biedenharn and Louck's G(Δ; X) functions for U(3). The fact that these generalized G-functions are polynomials follows from a detailed study of their symmetries and zeros. As a further application of our general difference equations, we give an elementary proof of Holman's U(n) generalization of the 5F4(1) summation theorem.  相似文献

A simple direct proof is given of a fundamental identity involving Schur functions which contains as special cases the identity responsible for Good's proof of the Dyson conjecture and the summation theorem of Biedenharn and Louck that appears frequently in dealing with the explicit matrix elements which arise in the unitary groups. By using the Weyl character formula, a general identity is obtained which implies our result involving Schur functions when a root system of type An ? 1 is considered. As a further application of our general identity, explicit analogs of Good's identity are given, corresponding to the root systems of types Bn, Cn, and Dn. In addition, methods to obtain q-analogs of all of these results are briefly described.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct a new even constrained B(C)-type Toda hierarchy and derive its B(C)-type Block-type additional symmetry. Also we generalize the B(C)-type Toda hierarchy to the N-component B(C)-type Toda hierarchy which is proved to have symmetries of a coupled \(\bigotimes ^NQT_+ \) algebra (N-fold direct product of the positive half of the quantum torus algebra QT).  相似文献

Let positive definite} be the matrix ball of rank n and let HD be the associated Hua operator. For a complex number λ, such that Reiλ>n−1 we give a necessary and sufficient condition on solutions F of the following Hua system of differential equations on D:

The graphs of the Johnson schemes G(3k, k) and G(3k + 1, k) are characterized by their parameters. In particular this finishes the characterization of the tetrahedral graphs G(n, 3).  相似文献

We show that a matroid is representable over GF(3) if and only if no minor is the five-point line or the Fano matroid, or their duals. Tutte's famous characterization of the regular matroids is a corollary. A key lemma states that two representations of the same matroid in the same vector space over GF(3) may be transformed one into the other by inverting some points through the origin and taking a linear transformation; no result of this kind holds in larger fields.  相似文献

Let Pij and qij be positive numbers for ij, i, j = 1, …, n, and consider the set of matrix differential equations x′(t) = A(t) x(t) over all A(t), where aij(t) is piecewise continuous, aij(t) = ?∑ijaij(t), and pij ? aij(t) ? qij all t. A solution x is also to satisfy ∑i = 1nxi(0) = 1. Let Ct denote the set of all solutions, evaluated at t to equations described above. It is shown that Ct, the topological closure of Ct, is a compact convex set for each t. Further, the set valued function Ct, of t is continuous and limitt → ∞C?t = ∩ C?t.  相似文献

We classify gradings by arbitrary abelian groups on the classical simple Lie superalgebras P(n), n2, and on the simple associative superalgebras M(m,n), m,n1, over an algebraically closed field: fine gradings up to equivalence and G-gradings, for a fixed group G, up to isomorphism. As a corollary, we also classify up to isomorphism the G-gradings on the classical Lie superalgebra A(m,n) that are induced from G-gradings on M(m+1,n+1). In the case of Lie superalgebras, the characteristic is assumed to be 0.  相似文献

We study SU(3) Toda system in non-abelian relativistic self-dual gauge theory. In the range of parameters where the corresponding Trudinger-Moser inequality fails, we show the existence of the solution by a different variational formulation from Lucia-Nolasco's [15]. We consider weak solutions to the nonlinear boundary value problem (r, (x, u(x)) u′(x))′ = (Fu)′(x) with r(0, u(0)) u′(0) = ku(0), r(L, u(L)) u′(L) = hu(L) and k, h are suitable elements of [0, ∞]. In addition to studying some new boundary conditions, we also relax the constraints on r(x, u) and (Fu)(x). r(x, u) > 0 may have a countable set of jump discontinuities in u and r(x, u)?1?Lq((0, L) × (0, p)). F is an operator from a suitable set of functions to a subset of Lp(0, L) which have nonnegative values. F includes, among others, examples of the form (Fu)(x) = (1 ? H(x ? x0)) u(x0), (Fu)(x) = ∫xLf(y, u(y)) dy where f(y, u) may have a countable set of jump discontinuities in u or F may be chosen so that (Fu)′(x) = ? g(x, u(x)) u′(x) ? q(x) u(x) ? f(x, u(x)) where q is a distributional derivative of an L2(0, L) function.  相似文献
