Cyclopentadienyl–ruthenium half‐sandwich complexes with η2‐bound alkyne ligands have been suggested as catalytic intermediates in the early stages of Ru‐catalyzed reactions with alkynes. We show that electronically unsaturated complexes of the formula [RuCl(Cp^)(η2‐RC≡CR′)] can be stabilized and crystallized by using the sterically demanding cyclopentadienyl ligand Cp^ (Cp^=η5‐1‐methoxy‐2,4‐tert‐butyl‐3‐neopentyl‐cyclopentadienyl). Furthermore we demonstrate that [RuCl2(Cp^)]2 is an active and regioselective catalyst for the [2+2+2] cyclotrimerization of alkynes. The first elementary steps of the reaction of mono(η2‐alkyne) complexes containing {RuCl(Cp*)} (Cp*=η5‐C5Me5) and {RuCl(Cp^)} fragments with alkynes were investigated by DFT calculations at the M06/6‐31G* level in combination with a continuum solvent model. Theoretical results are able to rationalize and complement the experimental findings. The presence of the sterically demanding Cp^ ligand increases the activation energy required for the formation of the corresponding di(η2‐alkyne) complexes, enhancing the initial regioselectivity, but avoiding the evolution of the system towards the expected cyclotrimerization product when bulky substituents are present. Theoretical results also show that the electronic structure and stability of a metallacyclic intermediate is strongly dependent on the nature of the substituents present in the alkyne.  相似文献

On the Reactivity of Titanocene Complexes [Ti(Cp′)22‐Me3SiC≡CSiMe3)] (Cp′ = Cp, Cp*) towards Benzenedicarboxylic Acids Titanocene complexes [Ti(Cp′)2(BTMSA)] ( 1a , Cp′ = Cp = η5‐C5H5; 1b , Cp′ = Cp* = η5‐C5Me5; BTMSA = Me3SiC≡CSiMe3) were found to react with iodine and methyl iodide yielding [Ti(Cp′)2(μ‐I)2] ( 2a / b ; a refers to Cp′ = Cp and b to Cp′ = Cp*), [Ti(Cp′)2I2] ( 3a / b ) and [Ti(Cp′)2(Me)I] ( 4a / b ), respectively. In contrast to 2a , complex 2b proved to be highly moisture sensitive yielding with cleavage of HCp* [{Ti(Cp*)I}2(μ‐O)] ( 7 ). The corresponding reactions of 1a / b with p‐cresol and thiophenol resulted in the formation of [Ti(Cp′)2{O(p‐Tol)}2] ( 5a / b ) and [Ti(Cp′)2(SPh)2] ( 6a / b ), respectively. Reactions of 1a and 1b with 1,n‐benzenedicarboxylic acids (n = 2–4) resulted in the formation of dinuclear titanium(III) complexes of the type [{Ti(Cp′)2}2{μ‐1,n‐(O2C)2C6H4}] (n = 2, 8a / b ; n = 3, 9a / b ; n = 4, 10a / b ). All complexes were fully characterized analytically and spectroscopically. Furthermore, complexes 7 , 8b , 9a ·THF, 10a / b were also be characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses.  相似文献

The new zirconium bent metallocenes (COT)Zr(CptBu2)Cl ( 1 ) and (COT)Zr(Cp′′)Cl ( 2 ) were synthesized in a straightforward manner and in high yields ( 1 : 91 %, 2 : 86 %) by treatment of in situ‐prepared (COT)ZrCl2(THF) with 1 equiv. of K(CptBu2) or K(Cp′′), respectively (COT = η8‐cyclooctatetraenyl; CptBu2 = η5‐1,3‐di‐tert‐butylcyclopentadienyl; Cp′′ = η5‐1,3‐bis(trimethylsilyl)cyclopentadienyl). Subsequent reaction of 1 with 1 equiv. of phenyllithium afforded the σ‐phenyl derivative (CptBu2)Zr(COT)Ph ( 3 ) as orange crystals in 83 % isolated yield. All three new compounds were structurally characterized through single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.  相似文献

Thermolysis of [Cp*Ru(PPh2(CH2)PPh2)BH2(L2)] 1 (Cp*=η5‐C5Me5; L=C7H4NS2), with terminal alkynes led to the formation of η4‐σ,π‐borataallyl complexes [Cp*Ru(μ‐H)B{R‐C=CH2}(L)2] ( 2 a – c ) and η2‐vinylborane complexes [Cp*Ru(R‐C=CH2)BH(L)2] ( 3 a – c ) ( 2 a , 3 a : R=Ph; 2 b , 3 b : R=COOCH3; 2 c , 3 c : R=p‐CH3‐C6H4; L=C7H4NS2) through hydroboration reaction. Ruthenium and the HBCC unit of the vinylborane moiety in 2 a – c are linked by a unique η4‐interaction. Conversions of 1 into 3 a – c proceed through the formation of intermediates 2 a – c . Furthermore, in an attempt to expand the library of these novel complexes, chemistry of σ‐borane complex [Cp*RuCO(μ‐H)BH2L] 4 (L=C7H4NS2) was investigated with both internal and terminal alkynes. Interestingly, under photolytic conditions, 4 reacts with methyl propiolate to generate the η4‐σ,π‐borataallyl complexes [Cp*Ru(μ‐H)BH{R‐C=CH2}(L)] 5 and [Cp*Ru(μ‐H)BH{HC=CH‐R}(L)] 6 (R=COOCH3; L=C7H4NS2) by Markovnikov and anti‐Markovnikov hydroboration. In an extension, photolysis of 4 in the presence of dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate yielded η4‐σ,π‐borataallyl complex [Cp*Ru(μ‐H)BH{R‐C=CH‐R}(L)] 7 (R=COOCH3; L=C7H4NS2). An agostic interaction was also found to be present in 2 a – c and 5 – 7 , which is rare among the borataallyl complexes. All the new compounds have been characterized in solution by IR, 1H, 11B, 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and the structural types were unequivocally established by crystallographic analysis of 2 b , 3 a – c and 5 – 7 . DFT calculations were performed to evaluate possible bonding and electronic structures of the new compounds.  相似文献

Synthesis, structure, and reactivity of carboranylamidinate‐based half‐sandwich iridium and rhodium complexes are reported for the first time. Treatment of dimeric metal complexes [{Cp*M(μCl)Cl}2] (M=Ir, Rh; Cp*=η5‐C5Me5) with a solution of one equivalent of nBuLi and a carboranylamidine produces 18‐electron complexes [Cp*IrCl(CabN‐DIC)] ( 1 a ; CabN‐DIC=[iPrN?C(closo‐1,2‐C2B10H10)(NHiPr)]), [Cp*RhCl(CabN‐DIC)] ( 1 b ), and [Cp*RhCl(CabN‐DCC)] ( 1 c ; CabN‐DCC=[CyN?C(closo‐1,2‐C2B10H10)(NHCy)]). Structures of Polar Magnesium Organyls: Synthesis and Structure of Base Adducts of Bis(cyclopentadienyl)magnesium Eight donor‐acceptor complexes of bis(cyclopentadienyl)magnesium ( 1 ) with N‐ and O‐donor Lewis bases have been synthesized and characterized by X‐ray structure analysis. With acetonitrile, dimethoxyethane, diethyleneglycoldimethylether, dioxane, and tetramethylethylenediamine simple 1:1 adducts are formed ( 2 – 6 ). In some cases a change of the hapticity of one cyclopentadienylring from η5 to η2 or η1 is observed ( 4 – 6 ). In the adduct with pentamethyldiethylenetriamine ( 7 ) one C5H5‐ring is removed from the magnesium atom forming the cation [Mg(C5H5)(PMDTA)]+ and an uncoordinated five‐ring anion. With the crown ether 15‐crown‐5 the two ionic Mg compounds 8 and 9 are formed which have a [Mg(15‐crown‐5)L2]2+‐cation [L = pyridine, THF] and two uncoordinated cyclopentadienyl anions. Cyclopentadienyl‐methyl‐magnesium reacts with 15‐crown‐5 to the salt [Mg(CH3)(15‐crown‐5)]+ C5H5? ( 10 ) which has also a free cyclopentadienyl anion.  相似文献

Reactions of Group 4 metallocene alkyne complexes [Cp′2M(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3)] ( 1 : M=Zr, Cp′=Cp*=η5‐pentamethylcyclopentadienyl; 2 a : M=Ti, Cp′=Cp*, and 2 b : M=Ti, Cp′2=rac‐(ebthi)=rac‐1,2‐ethylene‐1,1′‐bis(η5‐tetrahydroindenyl)) with diphenylacetonitrile (Ph2CHCN) and of the seven‐membered zirconacyclocumulene 3 with phenylacetonitrile (PhCH2CN) were investigated. Different compounds were obtained depending on the metal, the cyclopentadienyl ligand and the reaction temperature. In the first step, Ph2CHCN coordinated to 1 to form [Cp*2Zr(η2‐Me3SiC2SiMe3)(NCCHPh2)] ( 4 ). Higher temperatures led to elimination of the alkyne, coordination of a second Ph2CHCN and transformation of the nitriles to a keteniminate and an imine ligand in [Cp*2Zr(NC2Ph2)(NCHCHPh2)] ( 5 ). The conversion of 4 to 5 was monitored by using 1H NMR spectroscopy. The analogue titanocene complex 2 a eliminated the alkyne first, which led directly to [Cp*2Ti(NC2Ph2)2] ( 6 ) with two keteniminate ligands. In contrast, the reaction of 2 b with diphenylacetonitrile involved a formal coupling of the nitriles to obtain the unusual four‐membered titanacycle 7 . An unexpected six‐membered fused zirconaheterocycle ( 8 ) resulted from the reaction of 3 with PhCH2CN. The molecular structures of complexes 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 and 8 were determined by X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

Complexes of Titanium — Synthesis, Structure, and Fluxional Behaviour of CpTi{η6‐C5H4=C(p‐Tol)2}Cl (Cp′ = Cp*, Cp) The reaction of Cp′TiCl3 (C′ = Cp* or Cp) with magnesium and 6, 6‐di‐para‐tolylpentafulvene generates good yields of pentafulvene complexes Cp*Ti{η6‐C5H4=C(p‐Tol)2}Cl ( 4 ) and CpTi{η6‐C5H4=C(p‐Tol)2}Cl ( 5 ), respectively. The crystal and molecular structure of 4 have been determined from X‐ray data and exhibits compared to known η6‐pentafulvene complexes an unusual large Ti—C(p‐Tol)2 (Fv)‐distance (2.535(5)Å) evoked by the bulky substituents at the exocyclic carbon. Dynamic 1H‐NMR and spin saturation transfer experiments point out a rotation of the fulvene ligand around the Ti—Ct2 axis (Ct2 = centroid of the fulvene ring carbon atoms) with an activation barrier ΔGC = 60.6 ± 0.5 kJ mol−1 (TC = 314 ± 2 K). For 5 this barrier is significantly larger. Analogous dynamic behaviour is well known for diene complexes, but to our knowledge, it is here first‐time described for a pentafulvene complex.  相似文献

Insertion and Substitution Reaction of Methyl Formate with [Cp′2ZrCl(PHTipp)] – Molecular Structure of meso‐trans ‐[Cp′2ZrCl{OCH(PHTipp)2}] (Cp′ = η5‐C5MeH4, Tipp = 2,4,6‐Pri3C6H2) [Cp′2ZrCl(PHTipp)] ( 1 ) (Cp′ = η5‐C5MeH4, Tipp = 2,4,6‐Pri3C6H2) reacts with methyl formate with insertion and substitution to give [Cp′2ZrCl{OCH(PHTipp)2}] ( 2 ). 2 was characterized spectroscopically (1H, 31P NMR, IR, MS) and by X‐ray structure determination. Only the meso‐trans isomer is present in the solid state.  相似文献

Mono-cyclopentadienyl complexes CpVX2(PR3)2 and Cp′VX2 (PR3)2 (Cp = η5- C5H5; Cp′ = η5-C5H4Me; R = Me, Et; X = Cl, Br) have been prepared by reaction of VX3(PR3)2 with CpM (M = Na, T1, SnBun3, 1/2 Mg) or Cp′Na. Attempts to prepare analogous complexes with other phosphine ligands, PPh3, PPh2 Me, PPhMe2, Pcy3, DMPE and DPPE failed. Reduction of CpVCl2(PEt3)2 with zinc or aluminium under CO (1 bar) offers a simple method for the preparation of CpV(CO)3(PEt3). The crystal structure of the trimethylphosphine complex CpVCl2(PMe3)2 is reported.  相似文献

A 1H NMR study of monosubstituted η-cyclopentadienyl-rhodium(I) complexes of type LLRh(C5H4X) and -iridium(I) complexes of type L2Ir(C5H4X) (L = ethene, LL = 1,3- or 1,5-diolefin; X = C(C6H5)3, CHO, or COOCH3) has been carried out. For complexes of both metals in which the neutral ligand is ethene or a non-conjugated diolefin the NMR spectra of the cyclopentadienyl protons are unusual in that H(2), H(5) resonate to high field either at room temperature or below. The corresponding NMR spectra for the cyclopentadienyl ring protons of complexes where the neutral ligand is a conjugated diene are, with one exception, normal.A single crystal X-ray structural analysis of (η4-2,4-dimethylpenta-1,4-diene)(η5-formylcyclopentadienyl)rhodium(I) (which exhibits an abnormal 1H NMR spectrum) reveals substantial localisation of electron density in the C(3)C(4) Cp ring bond (1.283(33) Å) which may be consistent with a contribution from an ‘allyl-ene’ rotamer to the ring—metal bonding scheme. An extended Hückel calculation with self consistent charge iteration was performed on this complex. The results predict a greater Mulliken overlap population for the C(3)C(4) bond in the cyclopentadienyl ring and show that the localisation is dependent on both the Cp ring substituent and the nature of the diolefin. The mass spectral fragmentation patterns of some representative diene complexes of iridium(I) and rhodium(I) are presented.  相似文献

A high‐yielding synthetic route for the preparation of group 9 metallaboratrane complexes [Cp*MBH(L)2], 1 and 2 ( 1 , M=Rh, 2 , M=Ir; L=C7H4NS2) has been developed using [{Cp*MCl2}2] as precursor. This method also permitted the synthesis of an Rh–N,S‐heterocyclic carbene complex, [(Cp*Rh)(L2)(1‐benzothiazol‐2‐ylidene)] ( 3 ; L=C7H4NS2) in good yield. The reaction of compound 3 with neutral borane reagents led to the isolation of a novel borataallyl complex [Cp*Rh(L)2B{CH2C(CO2Me)}] ( 4 ; L=C7H4NS2). Compound 4 features a rare η3‐interaction between rhodium and the B‐C‐C unit of a vinylborane moiety. Furthermore, with the objective of generating metallaboratranes of other early and late transition metals through a transmetallation approach, reactions of rhoda‐ and irida‐boratrane complexes with metal carbonyl compounds were carried out. Although the objective of isolating such complexes was not achieved, several interesting mixed‐metal complexes [{Cp*Rh}{Re(CO)3}(C7H4NS2)3] ( 5 ), [Cp*Rh{Fe2(CO)6}(μ‐CO)S] ( 6 ), and [Cp*RhBH(L)2W(CO)5] ( 7 ; L=C7H4NS2) have been isolated. All of the new compounds have been characterized in solution by mass spectrometry, IR spectroscopy, and 1H, 11B, and 13C NMR spectroscopies, and the structural types of 4 – 7 have been unequivocally established by crystallographic analysis.  相似文献

Reactions of pyrimidine‐2‐thione (HpymS) with PdII/PtIV salts in the presence of triphenyl phosphine and bis(diphenylphosphino)alkanes, Ph2P‐(CH2)m‐PPh2 (m = 1, 2) have yielded two types of complexes, viz. a) [M(η2‐N, S‐ pymS)(η1‐S‐ pymS)(PPh3)] (M = Pd, 1 ; Pt, 2 ), and (b) [M(η1‐S‐pymS)2(L‐L)] {L‐L, M = dppm (m = 1) Pd, 3 ; Pt, 4 ; dppe (m = 2), Pd, 5 ; Pt, 6 }. Complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis (C, H, N), NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C, 31P), and single crystal X‐ray crystallography ( 1 , 2 , 4 , and 5 ). Complexes 1 and 2 have terminal η1‐S and chelating η2‐N, S‐modes of pymS, while other Pd/Pt complexes have only terminal η1‐S modes. The solution state 31P NMR spectral data reveal dynamic equilibrium for the complexes 3 , 5 and 6 , whereas the complexes 1 , 2 and 4 are static in solution state.  相似文献

The syndiospecific polymerization of styrene was investigated with the fluorine‐containing half‐sandwich complexes η5‐pentamethylcyclopentadienyl titanium bis(trifluoroacetate) dimer, η5‐octahydrofluorenyl titanium tristrifluoro‐acetate, η5‐octahydrofluorenyl titanium dimethoxymonotrifluoroacetate, and η5‐octahydrofluorenyl titanium tris(pentafluorobenzoate) in comparison to known chloride and methoxide complexes in the presence of relatively low amounts of methylalumoxane and triisobutylaluminum. After the selection of effective reaction conditions for a solvent‐free polymerization, the following orders of decreasing polymerization activity of the titanium complexes can be observed: for pentamethylcyclopentadienyl compounds, Cp*Ti(OMe)3 > [Cp*Ti(OCOCF3)2]2O ≈ Cp*TiCl3, and for octahydrofluorenyl compounds, [656]Ti(OMe)3 > [656]Ti(OCOC6F5)3 > [656]Ti(OCH3)2(OCOCF3) > [656]Ti (OCOCF3)3. The [656]Ti complexes, showing the highest polymerization conversions at 70 °C and in comparison with the Cp* Ti compounds, turned out to be highly efficient catalysts for the syndiospecific styrene polymerization. The fluorine‐containing Cp* and [656]Ti complexes lead to much higher molecular weights than the chloride and methoxide compounds because of a reduction in chain‐limiting transfer reactions. The introduction of only one fluorine‐containing ligand into the coordination sphere of the metal compound is obviously sufficient for a significant increase in molecular weight. The active polymerization sites of the [656]Ti complexes with methylalumoxane and triisobutylaluminum are extremely stable during storage at room temperature in regard to their polymerization activity. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 1H‐1, 3‐Benzazaphospholes react with M(CO)5(THF) (M = Cr, Mo, W) to give thermally and relatively air stable η1‐(1H‐1, 3‐Benzazaphosphole‐P)M(CO)5 complexes. The 1H‐ and 13C‐NMR‐data are in accordance with the preservation of the phosphaaromatic π‐system of the ligand. The strong upfield 31P coordination shift, particularly of the Mo and W complexes, forms a contrast to the downfield‐shifts of phosphine‐M(CO)5 complexes and classifies benzazaphospholes as weak donor but efficient acceptor ligands. Nickelocene reacts as organometallic species with metalation of the NH‐function. The resulting ambident 1, 3‐benzazaphospholide anions prefer a μ2‐coordination of the η5‐CpNi‐fragment at phosphorus to coordination at nitrogen or a η3‐heteroallyl‐η5‐CpNi‐semisandwich structure. This is shown by characteristic NMR data and the crystal structure analysis of a η5‐CpNi‐benzazaphospholide. The latter is a P‐bridging dimer with a planar Ni2P2 ring and trans‐configuration of the two planar heterocyclic phosphido ligands arranged perpendicular to the four‐membered ring.  相似文献

Reactions of group 4 metallocene sources with 2‐substituted pyridines were investigated to evaluate their coordination type between innocent and reductive dearomatisation as well as to probe the possibility for couplings. A dependence on the cyclopentadienyl ligands (Cp, Cp*), the metals (Ti, Zr), and the substrates (2‐phenyl‐, 2‐acetyl‐, and 2‐iminopyridine) was observed. While 2‐phenylpyridine is barely reactive, 2‐acetylpyridine reacts vigorously with the Cp‐substituted complexes and selectively with their Cp* analogues. With 2‐iminopyridine, in all cases selective reactions were observed. In the isolated [Cp2Ti], [Cp2Zr], and [Cp*2Zr] compounds the substrate coordinates by its pyridyl ring and the unsaturated side‐chain. Subsequently, the pyridine was dearomatised, which is most pronounced in the [Cp*2Zr] compounds. Using [Cp*2Ti] leads to the unexpected paramagnetic complexes [Cp*2TiIII(N,O‐acpy)] and [Cp*2TiIII(N,N′‐impy)]. This highlights the non‐innocent character of the pyridyl substrates.  相似文献

Recently published reactions of group 4 metallocene bis(trimethylsilyl)acetylene (btmsa) complexes from the last two years are reviewed. Complexes like Cp’2Ti(η2-Me3SiC2SiMe3) and Cp2Zr(py)(η2-Me3SiC2SiMe3) with Cp’ as Cp (cyclopentadienyl) and Cp* (pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) have been considered (py=pyridine). These complexes can liberate a reactive low-valent titanium or zirconium center by dissociation of the ligands and act as ‘‘masked’’ MII complexes (M=Ti, Zr). They represent excellent sources for the clean generation of the reactive coordinatively and electronically unsaturated complex fragments [Cp’2M]. This is the reason why they were used for many synthetic and catalytic reactions during the last years. As an update to several review articles on this topic, this contribution provides an update with recent examples of preparative organometallic and organic chemistry of these complexes, acting as reagents for a wide range of coordinating and coupling reactions. In addition, applications and investigations concerning reaction products derived from this chemistry are mentioned, too.  相似文献

Potassium reduction of iron– and ruthenium–penta(organo)[60]fullerene complexes, [M(η5‐C60R5)(η5‐Cp)] ( 1 a : M=Fe, R=Ph; 1 b : M=Fe, R=Me; 1 c : M=Ru, R=Ph; 1 d : M=Ru, R=Me; Cp=C5H5) gave mono‐ and dianions of these complexes. Treatment of the dianion 1 a with α‐bromodiphenylmethane gave three different iron–hepta(organo)[60]fullerenes, [Fe{η5‐C60Ph5(CHPh2)2}(η5‐Cp)], as a mixture of regioisomers. All three compounds were fully characterized by physical methods, including X‐ray crystallography and electrochemical measurements. One of the three compounds contains a new hoop‐shaped condensed aromatic system.  相似文献
