We prepared enantiomers of chiral PtII complexes, Pt(pppb)Cl and Pt(pppb)CN (pppbH=1‐pyridyl‐3‐(4,5‐pinenopyridyl)benzene), and measured their CPL (circularly polarized luminescence) spectra for excimer and trimer emission. The contribution of the pinene moiety to CPL was considerably low for the π–π* emission of the monomer but large for MMLCT (metal‐metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer) of the excimer and trimer which had a helical structure induced in a face‐to‐face stacking fashion. The trimer CPL for (+)‐Pt(pppb)Cl was larger in intensity than that of excimer CPL; on the other hand, that for (+)‐Pt(pppb)CN was opposite in sign compared with that of excimer CPL. We conclude that differences in the excited‐state structure of the aggregate between Pt(pppb)Cl and Pt(pppb)CN account for the variation in the CPL spectra. By the aid of TD‐DFT calculations it was predicted that the dihedral angle θ(Cl‐Pt‐Pt‐Cl) was 50–60° or 110–140° for Pt(pppb)Cl aggregates and 160° for Pt(pppb)CN aggregates.  相似文献

The photoluminescence spectra of a series of 5‐substituted pyridyl‐1,2,3‐triazolato PtII homoleptic complexes show weak emission tunability (ranging from λ=397–408 nm) in dilute (10?6 M ) ethanolic solutions at the monomer level and strong tunability in concentrated solutions (10?4 M ) and thin films (ranging from λ=487–625 nm) from dimeric excited states (excimers). The results of density functional calculations (PBE0) attribute this “turn‐on” sensitivity and intensity in the excimer to strong Pt–Pt metallophilic interactions and a change in the excited‐state character from singlet metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (1MLCT) to singlet metal‐metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (1MMLCT) emissions in agreement with lifetime measurements.  相似文献

Ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complexes with long‐wavelength absorption and high singlet‐oxygen quantum yield exhibit attractive potential in photodynamic therapy. A new heteroleptic RuII polypyridyl complex, [Ru(bpy)(dpb)(dppn)]2+ (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine, dpb=2,3‐bis(2‐pyridyl)benzoquinoxaline, dppn=4,5,9,16‐tetraaza‐dibenzo[a,c]naphthacene), is reported, which exhibits a 1MLCT (MLCT: metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer) maximum as long as 548 nm and a singlet‐oxygen quantum yield as high as 0.43. Steady/transient absorption/emission spectra indicate that the lowest‐energy MLCT state localizes on the dpb ligand, whereas the high singlet‐oxygen quantum yield results from the relatively long 3MLCT(Ru→dpb) lifetime, which in turn is the result of the equilibrium between nearly isoenergetic excited states of 3MLCT(Ru→dpb) and 3ππ*(dppn). The dppn ligand also ensures a high binding affinity of the complex towards DNA. Thus, the combination of dpb and dppn gives the complex promising photodynamic activity, fully demonstrating the modularity and versatility of heteroleptic RuII complexes. In contrast, [Ru(bpy)2(dpb)]2+ shows a long‐wavelength 1MLCT maximum (551 nm) but a very low singlet‐oxygen quantum yield (0.22), and [Ru(bpy)2(dppn)]2+ shows a high singlet‐oxygen quantum yield (0.79) but a very short wavelength 1MLCT maximum (442 nm).  相似文献

Cyclometalated IrIII complexes with acetylide ppy and bpy ligands were prepared (ppy=2‐phenylpyridine, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) in which naphthal ( Ir‐2 ) and naphthalimide (NI) were attached onto the ppy ( Ir‐3 ) and bpy ligands ( Ir‐4 ) through acetylide bonds. [Ir(ppy)3] ( Ir‐1 ) was also prepared as a model complex. Room‐temperature phosphorescence was observed for the complexes; both neutral and cationic complexes Ir‐3 and Ir‐4 showed strong absorption in the visible range (ε=39600 M ?1 cm?1 at 402 nm and ε=25100 M ?1 cm?1 at 404 nm, respectively), long‐lived triplet excited states (τT=9.30 μs and 16.45 μs) and room‐temperature red emission (λem=640 nm, Φp=1.4 % and λem=627 nm, Φp=0.3 %; cf. Ir‐1 : ε=16600 M ?1 cm?1 at 382 nm, τem=1.16 μs, Φp=72.6 %). Ir‐3 was strongly phosphorescent in non‐polar solvent (i.e., toluene), but the emission was completely quenched in polar solvents (MeCN). Ir‐4 gave an opposite response to the solvent polarity, that is, stronger phosphorescence in polar solvents than in non‐polar solvents. Emission of Ir‐1 and Ir‐2 was not solvent‐polarity‐dependent. The T1 excited states of Ir‐2 , Ir‐3 , and Ir‐4 were identified as mainly intraligand triplet excited states (3IL) by their small thermally induced Stokes shifts (ΔEs), nanosecond time‐resolved transient difference absorption spectroscopy, and spin‐density analysis. The complexes were used as triplet photosensitizers for triplet‐triplet annihilation (TTA) upconversion and quantum yields of 7.1 % and 14.4 % were observed for Ir‐2 and Ir‐3 , respectively, whereas the upconversion was negligible for Ir‐1 and Ir‐4 . These results will be useful for designing visible‐light‐harvesting transition‐metal complexes and for their applications as triplet photosensitizers for photocatalysis, photovoltaics, TTA upconversion, etc.  相似文献

2,7‐Di‐t‐butyldibenzofulvene (tBu2DBF), a bulky dibenzofulvene derivative, was polymerized using n‐butyllithium as initiator in tetrahydrofuran at ?78 °C and in toluene at 0 °C. tBu2DBF afforded mainly oligomers up to trimer even at [monomer]0/[initiator]0 = 20 ([monomer]0 = 0.2 M) at ?78 °C and 0 °C, indicating that this monomer is much less reactive than dibenzofulvene (DBF), its parent compound. The reaction at the same [monomer]0/[initiator]0 ratio at an elevated [monomer]0 gave a small amount of insoluble polymer. The oligomers indicated a hypochromic effect in the absorption spectra and only monomer emission in the fluorescent spectra. The conformation of the trimer and the dimer was examined by means of NOESY NMR spectra and semiempirical calculations. In the trimer conformation, the fluorene moieties of the central and the initiation‐side monomeric units were found to be closely stacked on top of each other, while the termination‐side monomeric unit appeared to be in a faster conformational dynamics compared with the other monomeric units. Although the dimer seemed to have a relatively flexible conformation, a π‐stacked structure appeared to be involved in the conformational dynamics to show hypochromicity. The results of this study suggest that the reported intramolecular excited dimer (excimer) formation of the poly‐ and oligo(DBF)s [J Am Chem Soc 2003, 125, 15474] is based on a slight, local conformational change upon photo absorption, leading to a closer π‐stacked alignment of two neighboring fluorene units than that in the ground state. Such a local conformational transition may be difficult for the tBu2DBF trimer because of steric repulsion of the t‐butyl groups. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Intersystem crossing (ISC) of triplet photosensitizers is a vital process for fundamental photochemistry and photodynamic therapy (PDT). Herein, we report the co‐existence of efficient ISC and long triplet excited lifetime in a heavy atom‐free bodipy helicene molecule. Via theoretical computation and time‐resolved EPR spectroscopy, we confirmed that the ISC of the bodipy results from its twisted molecular structure and reduced symmetry. The twisted bodipy shows intense long wavelength absorption (?=1.76×105 m ?1 cm?1 at 630 nm), satisfactory triplet quantum yield (ΦT=52 %), and long‐lived triplet state (τT=492 μs), leading to unprecedented performance as a triplet photosensitizer for PDT. Moreover, nanoparticles constructed with such helical bodipy show efficient PDT‐mediated antitumor immunity amplification with an ultra‐low dose (0.25 μg kg?1), which is several hundred times lower than that of the existing PDT reagents.  相似文献

Reaction of the ligands 4,5‐bis(propylthio)tetrathiafulvalene‐2‐(2‐pyridyl)benzimidazole ( L1 ) and 4,5‐bis(propylthio)tetrathiafulvalene‐2‐(2‐pyridyl)‐3‐(2‐pyridinylmethyl)benzimidazole ( L2 ) with Dy(hfac)3 ? 2 H2O (hfac=1,1,1,5,5,5‐hexafluoroacetylacetonate) gave mononuclear complexes [Dy(hfac)3( L1 )] ( 1 ) and [Dy(hfac)3( L2 )] ( 2 ). In both compounds the DyIII ion is surrounded by six oxygen and two nitrogen atoms. Complex 1 displays single‐ion magnet (SIM) behaviour only in solution (Δ=12(1) K and τ0=1.9(4)×10?6 s), while complex 2 is a SIM in both solution (Δ=15(2) K and τ0=1.5(3)×10?6 s) and solid state (Δ=17(2) K and τ0=9.5(2)×10?6 s). The SIM behaviour is obtained if the hydrogen bond is broken by dissolution ( 1 in solution) or by alkylation ( 2 ). Multiple relaxation processes were identified for 2 with two competing processes: a fast one in zero field and a slow one for fields higher than 500 Oe. The two processes coexist for intermediate applied magnetic field. Magnetic‐dilution and frozen‐solution measurements led to the conclusion that the origin of these multiple relaxation processes is not due to the property of a single molecule.  相似文献

Two novel tetranuclear, star‐shaped iron(III) clusters, [Fe4(acac)6(Br‐mp)2] and [FeIII4(acac)6(tmp)2], are described. Both have S=5 ground states resulting from antiferromagnetic nearest‐neighbour superexchange interactions, with J=?8.2 cm?1 and J=?8.5 cm?1 for 1 and 2 , respectively. Energy barriers for the relaxation of the magnetisation of approximately 12 cm?1 were derived from AC susceptibility measurements. Magnetic resonance measurements revealed a zero‐field splitting parameter D=?0.34 cm?1 for both complexes. AC susceptibility measurements in solution demonstrated that the complexes are reasonably stable in solution. Interestingly, the magnetisation relaxation slows down significantly in frozen solution, in contrast to what is generally observed for single‐molecule magnets. This was shown to result from a large increase in τ0, the prefactor in the Arrhenius equation, with the energy barrier remaining unchanged.  相似文献

The Sonogashira coupling of γ‐CD‐encapsulated alkynylpyrenes with terphenyl‐type stopper molecules gave a doubly alkynylpyrene‐threaded [4]rotaxane. The rotaxane showed only excimer emission, with a high fluorescence quantum yield of Φf=0.37, arising from the spatially restricted excimer within the cavity of the γ‐CD. The excimer emission suffered little from self‐quenching up to a concentration of 1.5×10?5 M and was circularly polarized with a high glum value of ?1.5×10?2. The strong circularly polarized luminescence may result from the two stacked pyrenes existing in the rotaxane in an asymmetrically twisted manner.  相似文献

The crystallization of 3‐[4′‐(diethylboryl)phenyl]pyridine ( 1 ), which formed a mixture of oligomers in solution with the cyclic trimer as a major component, in acetone at 0 °C afforded a cyclic tetramer that co‐crystallized with solvent molecules. Similarly, solutions of compound 1 in toluene at 10 °C and in benzene at 8 °C furnished the cyclic tetramer with the incorporation of toluene and benzene molecules, respectively, thus suggesting that the cyclic tetramer was the minor component. 13C CP/MAS NMR spectroscopy of precipitates of compound 1 suggested that precipitation from acetone and toluene each afforded mixtures of the cyclic trimer and the cyclic tetramer, whereas precipitation from benzene exclusively furnished the cyclic tetramer. Therefore, it appeared that crystallization readily shifted the equilibrium towards the cyclic tetramer in benzene. The thermodynamic parameters for the equilibrium between these two oligomers in [D6]benzene, as determined from a van′t Hoff plot, were ΔH°=?8.8 kcal mol?1 and ΔS°=?23.7 cal mol?1 K?1, which were coincident with previously reported calculations and observations.  相似文献

Room‐temperature long‐lived near‐IR phosphorescence of boron‐dipyrromethene (BODIPY) was observed (λem=770 nm, ΦP=3.5 %, τP=128.4 μs). Our molecular‐design strategy is to attach PtII coordination centers directly onto the BODIPY π‐core using acetylide bonds, rather than on the periphery of the BODIPY core, thus maximizing the heavy‐atom effect of PtII. In this case, the intersystem crossing (ISC) is facilitated and the radiative decay of the T1 excited state of BODIPY is observed, that is, the phosphorescence of BODIPY. The complex shows strong absorption in the visible range (ε=53800 M ?1 cm?1 at 574 nm), which is rare for PtII–acetylide complexes. The complex is dual emissive with 3M LCT emission at 660 nm and the 3IL emission at 770 nm. The T1 excited state of the complex is mainly localized on the BODIPY moiety (i.e. 3IL state, as determined by steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy, 77 K emission spectra, and spin‐density analysis). The strong visible‐light‐harvesting ability and long‐lived T1 excite state of the complex were used for triplet‐triplet annihilation based upconversion and an upconversion quantum yield of 5.2 % was observed. The overall upconversion capability (η=ε×ΦUC) of this complex is remarkable considering its strong absorption. The model complex, without the BODIPY moiety, gives no upconversion under the same experimental conditions. Our work paves the way for access to transition‐metal complexes that show strong absorption of visible light and long‐lived 3IL excited states, which are important for applications in photovoltaics, photocatalysis, and upconversions, etc.  相似文献

We report that 2,6‐lutidine?trichloroborane (Lut?BCl3) reacts with H2 in toluene, bromobenzene, dichloromethane, and Lut solvents producing the neutral hydride, Lut?BHCl2. The mechanism was modeled with density functional theory, and energies of stationary states were calculated at the G3(MP2)B3 level of theory. Lut?BCl3 was calculated to react with H2 and form the ion pair, [LutH+][HBCl3?], with a barrier of ΔH=24.7 kcal mol?1G=29.8 kcal mol?1). Metathesis with a second molecule of Lut?BCl3 produced Lut?BHCl2 and [LutH+][BCl4?]. The overall reaction is exothermic by 6.0 kcal mol?1rG°=?1.1). Alternate pathways were explored involving the borenium cation (LutBCl2+) and the four‐membered boracycle [(CH2{NC5H3Me})BCl2]. Barriers for addition of H2 across the Lut/LutBCl2+ pair and the boracycle B?C bond are substantially higher (ΔG=42.1 and 49.4 kcal mol?1, respectively), such that these pathways are excluded. The barrier for addition of H2 to the boracycle B?N bond is comparable (ΔH=28.5 and ΔG=32 kcal mol?1). Conversion of the intermediate 2‐(BHCl2CH2)‐6‐Me(C5H3NH) to Lut?BHCl2 may occur by intermolecular steps involving proton/hydride transfers to Lut/BCl3. Intramolecular protodeboronation, which could form Lut?BHCl2 directly, is prohibited by a high barrier (ΔH=52, ΔG=51 kcal mol?1).  相似文献

Interaction between adsorbed hydrogen and the coordinatively unsaturated Mg2+ and Co2+ cationic centres in Mg‐MOF‐74 and Co‐MOF‐74, respectively, was studied by means of variable‐temperature infrared (VTIR) spectroscopy. Perturbation of the H2 molecule by the cationic adsorbing centre renders the H? H stretching mode IR‐active at 4088 and 4043 cm?1 for Mg‐MOF‐74 and Co‐MOF‐74, respectively. Simultaneous measurement of integrated IR absorbance and hydrogen equilibrium pressure for spectra taken over the temperature range of 79–95 K allowed standard adsorption enthalpy and entropy to be determined. Mg‐MOF‐74 showed ΔH0=?9.4 kJ mol?1 and ΔS0=?120 J mol?1 K?1, whereas for Co‐MOF‐74 the corresponding values of ΔH0=?11.2 kJ mol?1 and ΔS0=?130 J mol?1 K?1 were obtained. The observed positive correlation between standard adsorption enthalpy and entropy is discussed in the broader context of corresponding data for hydrogen adsorption on cation‐exchanged zeolites, with a focus on the resulting implications for hydrogen storage and delivering.  相似文献

Three new Dy complexes have been prepared according to a complex‐as‐ligand strategy. Structural determinations indicate that the central Dy ion is surrounded by two LZn units (L2? is the di‐deprotonated form of the N2O2 compartmental N,N′‐2,2‐dimethylpropylenedi(3‐methoxysalicylideneiminato) Schiff base. The Dy ions are nonacoordinate to eight oxygen atoms from the two L ligands and to a water molecule. The Zn ions are pentacoordinate in all cases, linked to the N2O2 atoms from L, and the apical position of the Zn coordination sphere is occupied by a water molecule or bromide or chloride ions. These resulting complexes, formulated (LZnX)‐Dy‐(LZnX), are tricationic with X=H2O and monocationic with X=Br or Cl. They behave as field‐free single‐molecule magnets (SMMs) with effective energy barriers (Ueff) for the reversal of the magnetization of 96.9(6) K with τ0=2.4×10?7 s, 146.8(5) K with τ0=9.2×10?8 s, and 146.1(10) K with τ0=9.9×10?8 s for compounds with Zn?OH2, Zn?Br, and Zn?Cl motifs, respectively. The Cole–Cole plots exhibit semicircular shapes with α parameters in the range of 0.19 to 0.29, which suggests multiple relaxation processes. Under a dc applied magnetic field of 1000 Oe, the quantum tunneling of magnetization (QTM) is partly or fully suppressed and the energy barriers increase to Ueff=128.6(5) K and τ0=1.8×10?8 s for 1 , Ueff=214.7 K and τ0=9.8×10?9 s for 2 , and Ueff=202.4 K and τ0=1.5×10?8 s for 3 . The two pairs of largely negatively charged phenoxido oxygen atoms with short Dy?O bonds are positioned at opposite sides of the Dy3+ ion, which thus creates a strong crystal field that stabilizes the axial MJ=±15/2 doublet as the ground Kramers doublet. Although the compound with the Zn?OH2 motifs possesses the larger negative charges on the phenolate oxygen atoms, as confirmed by using DFT calculations, it exhibits the larger distortions of the DyO9 coordination polyhedron from ideal geometries and a smaller Ueff value. Ab initio calculations support the easy‐axis anisotropy of the ground Kramers doublet and predict zero‐field SMM behavior through Orbach and TA‐QTM relaxations via the first excited Kramers doublet, which leads to large energy barriers. In accordance with the experimental results, ab initio calculations have also shown that, compared with water, the peripheral halide ligands coordinated to the Zn2+ ions increase the barrier height when the distortions of the DyO9 have a negative effect. All the complexes exhibit metal‐centered luminescence after excitation into the UV π–π* absorption band of ligand L2? at λ=335 nm, which results in the appearance of the characteristic DyIII (4F9/26HJ/2; J=15/2, 13/2) emission bands in the visible region.  相似文献

The excited‐state dynamics of the photostable luminescent organic radical (3,5‐dichloro‐4‐pyridyl)bis(2,4,6‐trichlorophenyl)methyl (PyBTM) doped in a host crystal was investigated by using optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) and time‐resolved emission spectroscopies. In the radical system, the unpaired electron can be used as the probe for studying the electronic state and its dynamics. The mixed crystal with a high concentration of the radical showed excimer emission, together with the monomer emission. The ODMR signals were observed with opposite signs for monitoring the monomer and the excimer emissions. Based on their temperature and concentration dependencies, the excited‐state dynamics on the doped crystal and the mechanism of the excimer formation and the ODMR signal generation are discussed with the help of the quantum mechanical simulation of the excited‐state spin dynamics. The initial process of excimer formation has been clarified for the first time from the viewpoint of the spin‐dynamics.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of the N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylenediamine (tmeda) ligand has been studied in solid lithium‐fluorenide(tmeda) ( 3 ) and lithium‐benzo[b]fluorenide(tmeda) ( 4 ) using CP/MAS solid‐state 13C‐ and 15N‐NMR spectroscopy. It is shown that, in the ground state, the tmeda ligand is oriented parallel to the long molecular axis of the fluorenide and benzo[b]fluorenide systems. At low temperature (<250 K), the 13C‐NMR spectrum exhibits two MeN signals. A dynamic process, assigned to a 180° rotation of the five‐membered metallacycle (π‐flip), leads at elevated temperatures to coalescence of these signals. Line‐shape calculations yield ΔH?=42.7 kJ mol?1, ΔS?=?5.3 J mol?1 K?1, and =44.3 kJ mol?1 for 3 , and ΔH?=36.8 kJ mol?1, ΔS?=?17.7 J mol?1 K?1, and =42.1 kJ mol?1 for 4 , respectively. A second dynamic process, assigned to ring inversion of the tmeda ligand, was detected from the temperature dependence of T1ρ, the 13C spin‐lattice relaxation time in the rotating frame, and led to ΔH?=24.8 kJ mol?1, ΔS?=?49.2 J mol?1 K?1, and =39.5 kJ mol?1 for 3 , and ΔH?=18.2 kJ mol?1, ΔS?=?65.3 J mol?1 K?1, and =37.7 kJ mol?1 for 4 , respectively. For (D12)‐ 3 , the rotation of the CD3 groups has also been studied, and a barrier Ea of 14.1 kJ mol?1 was found.  相似文献

A kinetic study is reported for alkaline hydrolysis of X‐substituted phenyl diphenylphosphinates ( 1 a – i ). The Brønsted‐type plot for the reactions of 1 a – i is linear over 4.5 pKa units with βlg=?0.49, a typical βlg value for reactions which proceed through a concerted mechanism. The Hammett plots correlated with σo and σ? constants are linear but exhibit many scattered points, while the corresponding Yukawa–Tsuno plot results in excellent linear correlation with ρ=1.42 and r=0.35. The r value of 0.35 implies that leaving‐group departure is partially advanced at the rate‐determining step (RDS). A stepwise mechanism, in which departure of the leaving group from an addition intermediate occurs in the RDS, is excluded since the incoming HO? ion is much more basic and a poorer nucleofuge than the leaving aryloxide. A dissociative (DN + AN) mechanism is also ruled out on the basis of the small βlg value. As the substituent X in the leaving group changes from H to 4‐NO2 and 3,4‐(NO2)2, ΔH decreases from 11.3 kcal mol?1 to 9.7 and 8.7 kcal mol?1, respectively, while ΔS varies from ?22.6 cal mol?1 K?1 to ?21.4 and ?20.2 cal mol?1 K?1, respectively. Analysis of LFERs combined with the activation parameters assigns a concerted mechanism to the current alkaline hydrolysis of 1 a – i .  相似文献

We report the synthesis and characterization of a three‐dimensional tetraphenylethene‐based octacationic cage that shows host–guest recognition of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g. coronene) in organic media and water‐soluble dyes (e.g. sulforhodamine 101) in aqueous media through CH???π, π–π, and/or electrostatic interactions. The cage?coronene exhibits a cuboid internal cavity with a size of approximately 17.2×11.0×6.96 Å3 and a “hamburger”‐type host–guest complex, which is hierarchically stacked into 1D nanotubes and a 3D supramolecular framework. The free cage possesses a similar cavity in the crystalline state. Furthermore, a host–guest complex formed between the octacationic cage and sulforhodamine 101 had a higher absolute quantum yield (ΦF=28.5 %), larger excitation–emission gap (Δλex‐em=211 nm), and longer emission lifetime (τ=7.0 ns) as compared to the guest (ΦF=10.5 %; Δλex‐em=11 nm; τ=4.9 ns), and purer emission (ΔλFWHM=38 nm) as compared to the host (ΔλFWHM=111 nm).  相似文献

In an effort to develop robust molecular sensitizers for solar fuel production, the electronic structure and photodynamics of transition‐metal‐substituted polyoxometalates (POMs), a novel class of compound in this context, was examined. Experimental and computational techniques including femtosecond (fs) transient absorption spectroscopy have been used to study the cobalt‐containing Keggin POMs, [CoIIW12O40]6? ( 1 a ), [CoIIIW12O40]5? ( 2 a ), [SiCoII(H2O)W11O39]6? ( 3 a ), and [SiCoIII(H2O)W11O39]5? ( 4 a ), finding the longest lived charge transfer excited state so far observed in a POM and elucidating the electronic structures and excited‐state dynamics of these compounds at an unprecedented level. All species exhibit a bi‐exponential decay in which early dynamic processes with time constants in the fs domain yield longer lived excited states which decay with time constants in the ps to ns domain. The initially formed states of 1 a and 3 a are considered to result from metal‐to‐polyoxometalate charge transfer (MPCT) from CoII to W, while the longer‐lived excited state of 1 a is tentatively assigned to a localized intermediate MPCT state. The excited state formed by the tetrahedral cobalt(II) centered heteropolyanion ( 1 a ) is far longer‐lived (τ=420 ps in H2O; τ=1700 ps in MeCN) than that of 3 a (τ=1.3 ps), in which the single CoII atom is located in a pseudo‐octahedral addendum site. Short‐lived states are observed for the two CoIII‐containing heteropolyanions 2 a (τ=4.4 ps) and 4 a (τ=6.3 ps) and assigned solely to O→CoIII charge transfer. The dramatically extended lifetime for 1 a versus 3 a is ascribed to a structural change permitted by the coordinatively flexible central site, weak orbital overlap of the central Co with the polytungstate framework, and putative transient valence trapping of the excited electron on a single W atom, a phenomenon not noted previously in POMs.  相似文献

The hydrogen‐bonded dimer and trimer formed between 1,3,5‐benzenetricarboxylic acid and bipyridine have been investigated using a density functional theory (DFT) method and 6‐31++G** basis set. The interaction energies are ?45.783 and ?89.998 kJ·mol?1 for the most stable dimer and trimer, respectively, after the basis set superposition error and zero‐point corrections. The formation of O–H...N hydrogen bonds makes O–H symmetric stretching modes in the dimer and trimer red‐shifted relative to those of the 1,3,5‐benzenetricarboxylic acid monomer. The natural bond orbit analysis shows that the inter‐molecular charge transfers are 0.60475e and 1.20225e for the dimer and trimer, respectively. Thermodynamic analysis indicates that the formation of trimer is an exothermic and spontaneous process at low and room temperature. A supramolecule can be constructed through the strong N···H–O intermolecular hydrogen bonds between bipyridine and 1,3,5‐benzenetricarboxylic acid, which is in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献
