In this paper, we have studied the electronic contribution to the elastic constants for III-V, ternary and quaternary materials in the presence of light waves on the basis of newly formulated electron statistics. It has been found taking n-InAs, n-InSb, n-Hg1−xCdxTe and n-In1−xGaxAsyP1−y lattice matched to InP, as examples that the elastic constants increase with increasing electron concentration, intensity and wavelength in various manners. The strong dependence of the elastic constants on both the light intensity and wavelength reflects the direct signature of the light waves which is in contrast as compared with the corresponding bulk specimens in the absence of photo-excitation. The well-known results for degenerate wide gap materials in the absence of light waves have been obtained as a special case under certain limiting conditions and this compatibility is the indirect test of our generalized formalism. In this context, we have suggested the experimental method of determining the carrier contribution to the elastic constants for materials having arbitrary carrier energy spectra and our results find six important applications in the regime of photon-assisted transport in modern optoelectronic devices. 相似文献

The electric field in the crystal planar channels is studied by the Thomas Fermi method. The Thomas-Fermi equation and the corresponding boundary conditions are derived for the crystal planar channels. The numericalsolution for the electric field in the channels between (110) planes of the single crystal silicon and the critical angles ofchannelling protons in them are shown. Reasonable agreements with the experimental data are obtained. The resultsshow that the Thomas-Fermi method for the crystal works well in this study, and a microscopic research of the channelelectric field with the contribution of all atoms and the atomic ionization being taken into account is practical. 相似文献

The role of bulk and edge currents in a two-dimensional electron gas under the conditions of the integer quantum Hall effect (IQHE) was studied by means of an inductive coupling to Hall bar geometry. From this study we conclude that the extended states at the bulk of the sample below the Fermi energy are capable of carrying a substantial amount of Hall current. For Hall bar geometry sample with a back gate we demonstrated that injected current can be pushed from one edge to another by reversing the direction of the external magnetic field. 相似文献

We calculate the current correlations for the steady-state electron transport through multi-level parallel quantum dots embedded in a short quantum wire, that is placed in a non-perfect photon cavity. We account for the electron–electron Coulomb interaction, and the para- and diamagnetic electron–photon interactions with a stepwise scheme of configuration interactions and truncation of the many-body Fock spaces. In the spectral density of the temporal current–current correlations we identify all the transitions, radiative and non-radiative, active in the system in order to maintain the steady state. We observe strong signs of two types of Rabi oscillations. 相似文献
