The shear viscosity tensor of the A1-phase of superfluid 3He is calculated at low temperatures and melting pressure, by using the Boltzmann equation approach. The two normal and superfluid components take part in elements of the shear viscosity tensor differently. The interaction between normal and Bogoliubov quasiparticles in the collision integrals is considered in the binary, decay, and coalescence processes. We show that the elements of the shear viscosities ηxy, ηxz, and ηzz are proportional to (T/Tc)−2. The constant of proportionality is in nearly good agreement with the experimental results of Roobol et al.  相似文献

Charge distribution studies for heavy-mass fission products were carried out in the fast-neutron-induced fission of 232Th, 238U, 240Pu and 244Cm using radiochemical and gamma-ray spectrometric techniques. The width parameter( σZA), the most probable charge/mass ( Z P/A P), the charge polarization (ΔZ) and the slope of charge polarization [ δ(ΔZ)/δA ] as a function of the fragment mass (A ) were deduced. The average charge dispersion parameter ( 〈σZ〉) and proton odd-even effect ( δp) were also obtained for these fissioning systems. The 〈σZ〉 and δp values in the fissioning systems 241Pu * and 245Cm * were determined for the first time. The δ(ΔZ)/δA value is also determined for the first time in the fissioning systems 239U * , 241Pu * and 245Cm * . These data along with the literature data for even-Z fissioning systems such as 230Th * , 232Th * , 233U * , 234U * , 236U * , 238U * , 239Pu * , 240Pu*, 242Pu * , 246Cm * , 250Cf * and 252Cf(SF) are discussed in terms of nuclear structure effect and dynamics of descent from the saddle to the scission point. The role of the excitation energy in low-energy fission is also discussed. The friction experienced by a body rotating in a superfluid liquid at T=0 is discussed. The effect is analogous to the amplification of electromagnetic radiation and spontaneous emission by a body or black hole rotating in the quantum vacuum, first discussed by Zel’dovich and Starobinsky. The friction is caused by the interaction of the part of the liquid which is rigidly connected with the rotating body and thus represents a comoving detector, with the “Minkowski” superfluid vacuum outside the body. The emission process is the quantum tunneling of quasiparticles from the detector to the ergoregion, where the energy of quasiparticles is negative in the rotating frame. This quantum rotational friction caused by the emission of quasiparticles is estimated for phonons and rotons in superfluid 4He and for Bogoliubov fermions in superfluid 3He. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor. The HAPPEX Collaboration at Jefferson Lab has measured the transverse beam spin asymmetries (AT) for elastic electron scattering from proton and 4He targets. The experiment was conducted using a vertically polarized electron beam of energy ∼ 3 GeV, at a Q 2 ∼ 0.1 GeV^2 and a scattering angle θlab ∼ 6° . The preliminary results are reported here. The 4He measurement is the first measurement of AT from a nucleus. AT for 4He is non-negligible; therefore, it will be necessary to make measurements of AT for future parity-violating experiments using nuclear targets.  相似文献

The high-spin level structure of the 153Er nucleus has been reinvestigated by in-beam γ-ray and electron spectroscopy with (14N,pxn) reaction. Excitation energies, spin and parity assignments are unambiguously established for the two lowest isomers T 1/2≃ 380 ns and T1/2\simeq 10 ns. The characteristics of the third one (T 1/2≃ 250 ns) at 5.2 MeV are still questionable but its main decay modes are better known. An extension of the level scheme is proposed up to 8.4 MeV.Experimental results have been discussed in terms of shell model multiplets and compared with the other structures observed in N=85 neighbouring nuclei. The yrast band of the nonaxially deformed 126Ba nucleus is described by the Hamiltonian of the interaction boson model. Its parameters are calculated on the basis of a microscopic theory within a spherical mean field, and residual interactions that include pairing and multipole factorized forces. Each state of the yrast band is considered independently of others, allowing us to study variations in the superfluid properties of the nucleus and the quasiparticle structure of collective D phonons with spin. The calculations are performed in an expanded configuration space that includes the collective D phonon states, and noncollective states in which an additional phonon of positive parity whose spin assumes values of 0 to 6 is present along with the D phonons. It is shown that the collective Hamiltonian parameters cannot be reproduced without considering the effect of the noncollective states.  相似文献

α-decay half-lives for 104, 105, 106Te and 108, 109, 110Xe close above the doubly-magic 100Sn are calculated from systematic double-folding potentials. The derived α preformation factors are compared to results for 212, 213, 214Po and 216, 217, 218Rn above the doubly-magic 208Pb. α-decay energies of Q α = 5.42±0.07MeV and 4.65±0.15MeV are predicted for 104Te and 108Xe; the corresponding half-lives are T 1/2 ≈ 5ns for 104Te and of the order of 60μs for 108Xe. Additionally, the properties of rotational bands in 104Te are analyzed, and the first excited 2+ state in 104Te is predicted at E x = 650±40keV; it decays preferentially by γ emission with a reduced transition strength of 10 Weisskopf units to the ground state of 104Te and with a minor branch by α emission to the ground state of 100Sn.  相似文献

The time reversal symmetric polar phase of the spin-triplet superfluid 3He has two types of Dirac nodal lines. In addition to the Dirac loop in the spectrum of the fermionic Bogoliubov quasiparticles in the momentum space (p x , p y , p z ), the spectrum of bosons (magnons) has Dirac loop in the 3D space of parameters—the components of magnetic field (H x ,H y ,H z ). The bosonic Dirac system lives on the border between the type-I and type-II.  相似文献

We utilize existing inclusive data on K+-meson momentum spectra of the reaction ppK + X at T p = 2.3-2.85GeV to deduce total cross-sections for ppK + Σ + n. The method used to extract those cross-sections is explained and discussed in detail. Our result for T p = 2.85GeV is consistent with the data point from a direct measurement at the same beam energy. The cross-section obtained for T p = 2.3GeV is with 13.7±2.3μb considerably smaller than the value found in a recent experiment by the COSY-11 Collaboration at a somewhat lower beam energy, indicating that the ppK + Σ + n reaction cross-section could exhibit a rather unusual energy dependence.  相似文献

The dependences of the magnetization M and the magnetic susceptibility χ = ∂M/∂H of pure gadolinium (the concentration of foreign impurities is lower than 0.1 wt %) on the temperature T and the magnetic field H have been measured using a Quantum Design MPMS-5XL SQUID magnetometer. In this material, inhomogeneities of the atomic structure should not lead to a nonuniform distribution of the magnetic characteristics (including the Curie temperature T C) over the volume of the sample. The obtained dependences of M and χ have been used to investigate the possibility of suppressing magnetic inhomogeneities of other types by magnetic fields with a strength of up to 50 kOe. It has been assumed that these inhomogeneities are suppressed when the specific relationship, namely, the 21/3 rule is fulfilled. The rule relates the portions of the dependence χ(T, H) which at the temperature T = T C and at the maximum in the curve χ(T) (T = T m ) depend on H in accordance with the H 2/3 law. It has been shown that the portions separated from the experimental curves χ(T C, H) and χ(T m , H) obey the 21/3 rule.  相似文献

The narrow D s0 * (2317) and broad D 0 * (2300-2400) charmed scalar mesons and their radial excitations are described in a coupled-channel quark model that also reproduces the properties of the light scalar nonet. All two-meson channels containing ground-state pseudoscalars and vectors are included. The parameters are chosen fixed at published values, except for the overall coupling constant λ, which is fine-tuned to reproduce the D s0 * (2317) mass, and a damping constant α for subthreshold contributions. Variations of λ and D 0 * (2300-2400) pole postions are studied for different α values. Calculated cross-sections for S-wave DK and scattering, as well as resonance pole positions, are given for the value of α that fits the light scalars. The thus predicted radially excited state D s0 *′(2850), with a width of about 50MeV, seems to have been observed already.  相似文献

Decay of neutron-deficient 128 − 137Gd parents emitting 4He to 32S clusters are studied within the Coulomb and proximity potential model. The predicted half-lives are compared with other models and most of the values are well within the present experimental limit for measurements (T 1/2 < 1030 s). The lowest T 1/2 value for 28Si emission from 128Gd indicates the role of doubly magic 100Sn daughter in cluster decay process. It is also found that neutron excess in the parent nuclei slows down the cluster decay process. Geiger–Nuttal plots for all clusters are found to be linear with different slopes and intercepts. The α-decay half-lives of 148 − 152Gd parents are computed and are in agreement with experimental data. The role of doubly magic 132Sn daughter in cluster decay process is also examined for various neutron-rich Ba, Ce, Nd, Sm and Gd parents emitting clusters ranging from 4He to 32Si. Alpha-like structures are most probable in the decays leading to 100Sn, while non-α-like structures are probable in the decays leading to 132Sn. The neutron–proton asymmetry in parent and daughter nuclei is responsible for the reduced decay rate in the decay leading to 132Sn.  相似文献

In order to evaluate g 0, the interaction strength of a pair of 52Cr atoms with total spin S = 0, a specially designed s-wave scattering of the pair has been studied theoretically. Both the incident atom and the target atom trapped by a potential are polarized previously but in reverse directions. Due to spin-flips, the outgoing atom may have spin component μ ranging from −3 to 3. The outgoing channels are classified by μ. The effect of g 0 on the s-wave cross sections of each of these μ- channels has been predicted. In particular, when the parameters of the trapping potential are given around their optimal values so that the cross sections can be maximized, distinguished features of the dependence of the cross sections on g 0 are found. These features are helpful for evaluating g 0.  相似文献

The spin susceptibility of a polycrystalline sample of uranium mononitride UN is studied by measuring the 14N NMR line shift, spin–lattice relaxation rates of the nuclear spin, and static magnetic susceptibility in the temperature region of 1.5TN < T < 7TN A joint analysis of the results obtained has revealed the temperature dependence of the characteristic energy of spin fluctuations of the uranium 5f electrons: Γnmr(T) ∝ T0.54(4) close to the dependence Γ(T) ∝ T0.5 characteristic of concentrated Kondo systems above the coherent state formation temperature.  相似文献

The high-resolution spectrum of the D2S molecule registered with a Bruker IFS 120HR Fourier spectrometer in the range 2000–4200 cm–1 is analyzed. The spectroscopic parameters of the (110), (011), and (030) vibrational states are obtained. They reproduce rotational energy levels with the accuracy close to experimental one (a total of 737 rovibrational energies is considered corresponding to 2590 transitions up to J max = 21). The diffusion of 18O in α-Tiwas studied in the 623–873 K temperature range by using the ion implantation and nuclear resonance techniques. The measurements show that the diffusion coefficients follow an Arrhenius behavior with diffusion parameters D0=(2±1)10-7 m2 s-1 and Q=(±) 16950kJ/mol, values typical of interstitial diffusion mechanism. The effect of temperature on the luminescence intensity of the two bands due to 5 D 17 F 1 and 5 D 07 F 1 transitions in Eu3+ on excitation with the 476.5 nm line from an Ar+ laser has been studied in tellurite and calibo glasses. It is interesting to note that the peak intensity of the 5 D 17 F 1 transition increases with increasing temperature where as that of the 5 D 07 F 1 transition decreases. “Multiglass” materials with simultaneous occurrence of two different glassy states extend the frame of conventional multiferroicity, which is devoted to crystalline materials with coexisting uniform long-range electric and magnetic ordering. The concept applies to Sr0.98Mn0.02TiO3 ceramics, where A-site substituted Mn2+ ions are at the origin of both a polar and a spin cluster glass. Spin freezing is initiated below the dipolar glass temperature, Tg e ≈ 38 K, which is seemingly indicated by a divergence of the nonlinear susceptibility, χ3. Below Tg m ≈ 34 K both glass phases are independently verified by memory and rejuvenation effects. Biquadratic interaction of the Mn2+ spins with ferroelectric correlations of their off-center pseudospins in the incipient ferroelectric host crystal SrTiO3 explains the high spin glass temperature and comparably strong third-order magnetoelectric coupling between the polar and the magnetic degrees of freedom. Preliminary results on the related compound K0.97Mn0.03TaO3 favorably comply with the magnetoelectric multiglass concept.  相似文献

The melting and growth of3He crystals, spin-polarized by an external magnetic field, are different in nature depending on whether the temperature is higher or lower than the characteristic ordering temperatures in the crystal (the Neel temperatureT N ) and in the liquid (the superfluid transition temperatureT c ). In the high-temperature region (T≥T N ,T c ) the liquid which appears upon melting has a high nonequilibrium spin density. In the low-temperature region (T?T N ,T c ) the melting and growth are accompanied by spin supercurrents both in the liquid and in the crystal in addition to mass supercurrents in the liquid. The crystallization waves at the liquid-solid interface should exist in the low-temperature region. With increasing magnetic field the waves change in nature, because the spin currents begin to play a dominant role. The wave spectrum becomes linear with a velocity inversely proportional to the magnetic field. The attenuation of the waves at low enough temperatures is mainly due to the interaction of the moving crystal-liquid interface with thermal spin waves in the crystal. The waves could be weakly damped at temperatures below a few hundreds microkelvins.  相似文献

The transition of liquid 3He to the superfluid B phase in aerogel at T=0 is considered. It is shown that in a magnetic field, the quantum phase transition with respect to pressure is split in two.
