The Raman spectroscopy of purified chlorophyll (Chl) d extracted from Acaryochloris marina has been measured over the wide region of 250-3200 cm(-1) at 77 K following excitation of its Soret band at 488 nm and analyzed with the aid of hybrid density-functional vibrational analyses. A Raman peak specific to Chl d, which arises from the formyl group 3(1) C=O stretching, was clearly observed at 1659 cm(-1) with medium intensity. Peaks due to other C=O stretching vibrations of the 13(1) keto-, 13(3) ester- and 17(3) groups were also observed. Four very strong peaks were observed in the range of 1000-1600 cm(-1), assigned to the CC stretching and mixtures of the CH3 bend and CN stretching. CCC and NCC bending contribute to medium intensity peaks at 986 and 915 cm(-1). Out-of-plane CH bending at Chl d methine sites 10, 5 and 20 contribute to observed peaks at 885, 864 and 853 cm(-1), respectively. A few modes involving the MgN stretching and MgNC bending motions were observed in the very low frequency range. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations have been used to make assignments on the observed Raman spectrum and the DFT results have been found to be in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

The mineral peisleyite has been studied using a combination of electron microscopy and vibrational spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) photomicrographs reveal that the peisleyite morphology consists of an array of small needle-like crystals of around 1 microm in length with a thickness of less than 0.1 microm. Raman spectroscopy in the hydroxyl stretching region shows an intense band at 3506 cm(-1) assigned to the symmetric stretching mode of the OH units. Four bands are observed at 3564, 3404, 3250 and 3135 cm(-1) in the infrared spectrum. These wavenumbers enable an estimation of the hydrogen bond distances 3.052(5), 2.801(0), 2.705(6) and 2.683(6)A. Two intense Raman bands are observed at 1023 and 989 cm(-1) and are assigned to the SO(4) and PO(4) symmetric stretching modes. Other bands are observed at 1356, 1252, 1235, 1152, 1128, 1098 and 1067 cm(-1). The bands at 1067 cm(-1) is attributed to AlOH deformation vibrations. Bands in the low wavenumber region are assigned to the nu(4) and nu(2) out of plane bending modes of the SO(4) and PO(4) units. Raman spectroscopy is a useful tool in determining the vibrational spectroscopy of mixed hydrated multianion minerals such as peisleyite. Information on such a mineral would be difficult to obtain by other means.  相似文献

FT Raman and FTIR spectra of Naphthazarin (5,8-dihydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone) and its deuterated analogue are recorded. Comparison between the spectra obtained by two techniques, a series of density functional theory (DFT) calculations and the spectral behavior upon deuteration were used for the assignment of the vibrational spectra of this compound. The calculated vibrational frequencies by the B3LYP, B3PW91, G96LYP, G96P86, and MPWLYP density functionals are generally consistent with the observed spectra. Infrared and Raman vibrational transitions predicted by B3LYP/6-311++G** are reported for the titled compound and its deuterated analogous and the assignments are discussed. All experimental and theoretical results support a relatively weak hydrogen bond in naphthazarin (NZ), compared with that in the enol form of normal beta-diketones. The observed nuOH/nuOD and gammaOH/gammaOD appear at about 3060/2220 and 790/560 cm(-1), respectively, which are consistent with the calculated hydrogen bond geometry and proton chemical shift results. Two bands at about 350 and 290 cm(-1) are assigned to the O...O stretching modes belong to A1 and B2 species, respectively.  相似文献

Benzothiophene and dibenzothiophene have been studied by Raman microspectroscopy using a 785 nm excitation wavelength. The spectra obtained have been compared with the previously measured spectra of idrialite, a complex natural mineral composed entirely of cata-condensed polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), usually containing a thiophenic or aliphatic five-membered ring. For comparison, the Raman spectra of 2,3-benzofluorene crystals have been obtained for the first time. Some of the bands in the idrialite spectra are attributed to specific vibrational modes of thiophene or fluorene-type PAHs, especially in the region below 1000 cm(-1). These modes at 495, 705 and 750 cm(-1) along with C-H or C-H(2) stretching modes around 3000 cm(-1) can be then used to distinguish such groups of PAHs in complicated organic mineral mixtures like idrialite.  相似文献

Vibrational properties of the five-coordinate porphyrin complexes [M(TPP)(Cl)] (M = Fe, Mn, Co) are analyzed in detail. For [Fe(TPP)(Cl)] (1), a complete vibrational data set is obtained, including nonresonance (NR) Raman, and resonance Raman (RR) spectra at multiple excitation wavelengths as well as IR spectra. These data are completely assigned using density functional (DFT) calculations and polarization measurements. Compared to earlier works, a number of bands are reassigned in this one. These include the important, structure-sensitive band at 390 cm(-1), which is reassigned here to the totally symmetric nu(breathing)(Fe-N) vibration for complex 1. This is in agreement with the assignments for [Ni(TPP)]. In general, the assignments are on the basis of an idealized [M(TPP)]+ core with D(4h) symmetry. In this Work, small deviations from D(4h) are observed in the vibrational spectra and analyzed in detail. On the basis of the assignments of the vibrational spectra of 1, [Mn(TPP)(Cl)] (2), and diamagnetic [Co(TPP)(Cl)] (3), eight metal-sensitive bands are identified. Two of them correspond to the nu(M-N) stretching modes with B(1g) and Eu symmetries and are assigned here for the first time. The shifts of the metal sensitive modes are interpreted on the basis of differences in the porphyrin C-C, C-N, and M-N distances. Besides the porphyrin core vibrations, the M-Cl stretching modes also show strong metal sensitivity. The strength of the M-Cl bond in 1-3 is further investigated. From normal coordinate analysis (NCA), force constants of 1.796 (Fe), 0.932 (Mn), and 1.717 (Co) mdyn/A are obtained for 1-3, respectively. The weakness of the Mn-Cl bond is attributed to the fact that it only corresponds to half a sigma bond. Finally, RR spectroscopy is used to gain detailed insight into the nature of the electronically excited states. This relates to the mechanism of resonance enhancement and the actual nature of the enhanced vibrations. It is of importance that anomalous polarized bands (A(2g) vibrations), which are diagnostic for vibronic mixing, are especially useful for this purpose.  相似文献

Infrared Fourier Transform investigation of several metal tris-complexes of 1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate (dmit) ligand have been recorded within a theoretical-experimental investigation of the vibrational molecular spectra of crystalline [NEt4]2[Sn(dmit)3] and [NEt4][Sb(dmit)3] compounds. For the [Sn(dmit)3]-2 anion we recorded as well the Raman Fourier Transform spectra. Ab initio calculations have been carried with several ECPs, basis sets and methodologies (RHF and DFT) in order to assess family and methodological errors precisely. Geometry optimization and subsequent hessian calculation lead to the vibration frequencies reported. These calculated frequencies and intensities assisted the fundamental, overtones and combinations bands assignments. Remarkable agreement has been found between the experimental geometries and frequencies to those here calculated. Besides the bands traditionally studied for the dmit compounds, as CC and CS stretchings, also the region below 500 cm(-1) was evaluated, allowing to characterize several modes involving angular deformation of the dmit as the MS stretching of these octahedral distorted systems.  相似文献

The vibrational spectra of meso-tetraphenylporphyrin diacid (H4TPP2+) have been studied with the density functional theory. Raman and IR spectra of H4TPP2+ and its N-deuterated analogue (D4TPP2+) are measured and compared with the computational results. Complete assignments of observed IR and Raman bands were proposed on the bases of calculation results. The DFT calculations reproduce 140 observed fundamentals with the RMS 8.6 cm-1. The computational as well as the experimental results reveal that the saddle-distortion of porphyrin macrocycle for the diacid leads to a significant effect on its vibrational spectra. Especially, several out-of-plane skeletal modes, which were either unobserved or very weak in the Raman spectra of CuTPP and H2TPP, are activated in the Raman spectra of the diacids. In addition, enhancement for the Raman bands of phenyl CC stretching modes were observed and attributed to the conjugation effect of pi-systems of the phenyl and the porphyrinato macrocycles.  相似文献

A thorough analysis of the vibrational features of the titanium silicalite-1 (TS-1) catalyst is presented, based on quantitative IR measurements, Raman and resonant Raman experiments, quantitative XANES, and quantum chemical calculations on cluster and periodic models. The linear correlation of the intensity of the IR and Raman bands located at 960 and 1125 cm(-1) and the XANES peak at 4967 eV with the amount of tetrahedral Ti are quantitatively demonstrated. Raman and resonant Raman spectra of silicalite and TS-1 with variable Ti content are presented, showing main features at 960 and 1125 cm(-1) associated with titanium insertion into the zeolite framework. The enhancement of the intensity of the 1125 cm(-1) feature and the invariance of the 960 cm(-1) feature in UV-Raman experiments, are discussed in terms of resonant Raman selection rules. Quantum chemical calculations on cluster models Si[OSi(OH)(3)](4) and Ti[OSi(OH)(3)](4) at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory provide the basis for the assignment of the main vibrational contributions and for the understanding of Raman enhancement. The resonance-enhanced 1125 cm(-1) mode is unambiguously associated with a totally symmetric vibration of the TiO(4) tetrahedron, achieved through in-phase antisymmetric stretching of the four connected Ti-O-Si bridges. This vibration can also be described as a totally symmetric stretching of the four Si-O bonds pointing toward Ti. The resonance enhancement of this feature is explained in terms of the electronic structure of the Ti-containing moiety. Asymmetric stretching modes of TO(4) units show distinct behavior when (i) T is occupied by Si as in perfect silicalite, (ii) T is occupied by Ti as in TS-1, or (iii) the oxygen atom belongs to an OH group, such as in terminal tetrahedra of cluster models and in real defective zeolites. Asymmetric SiO(4) and TiO(4) stretching modes appear above and below 1000 cm(-1), respectively, when they are achieved through antisymmetric stretching of the T-O-Si bridges, and around 800 cm(-1) (in both SiO(4) and TiO(4)) when they involve symmetric stretching of the T-O-Si units. In purely siliceous models, the transparency gap between the main peaks at 800 and 1100 cm(-1) contains only vibrational features associated with terminal Si-OH groups, while in Ti-containing models it contains also the above-mentioned asymmetric TiO(4) modes, which in turn are strongly coupled with Si-OH stretching modes. Calculations on periodic models of silicalite and TS-1 free of OH groups using the QMPOT embedding method correctly reproduce the transparency gap of silicalite and the appearance of asymmetric TiO(4) vibrations at 960 cm(-1) in TS-1. Finally, we demonstrate, for the first time, that the distortion of the tetrahedral symmetry around Ti caused by water adsorption quenches the UV-Raman enhancement of the 1125 cm(-1) band.  相似文献

Full-dimensional ab initio potential-energy surface (PES) and dipole moment surface are constructed for a methane molecule at the CCSD(T)/cc-pVTZ and MP2/cc-pVTZ levels of theory, respectively, by the modified Shepard interpolation method based on the fourth-order Taylor expansion [MSI(4th)]. The reference points for the interpolation have been set in the coupling region of CH symmetric and antisymmetric stretching modes so as to reproduce the vibrational energy levels related to CH stretching vibrations. The vibrational configuration-interaction calculations have been performed to obtain the energy levels and the absorption intensities up to 9000 cm(-1) with the use of MSI(4th)-PES. The calculated fundamental frequencies and low-lying vibrational energy levels show that MSI(4th) is superior to the widely employed quartic force field, giving a better agreement with the experimental values. The absorption bands of overtones as well as combination bands, which are caused by purely anharmonic effects, have been obtained up to 9000 cm(-1). Strongly coupled states with visible intensity have been found in the 6500-9000 cm(-1) region where the experimental data are still lacking.  相似文献

The utility of recording Raman spectroscopy under liquid nitrogen, a technique we call Raman under nitrogen (RUN), is demonstrated for ferrocene, uranocene, and thorocene. Using RUN, low-temperature (liquid nitrogen cooled) Raman spectra for these compounds exhibit higher resolution than previous studies, and new vibrational features are reported. The first Raman spectra of crystalline uranocene at 77 K are reported using excitation from argon (5145 A) and krypton (6764 A) ion lasers. The spectra obtained showed bands corresponding to vibrational transitions at 212, 236, 259, 379, 753, 897, 1500, and 3042 cm(-1), assigned to ring-metal-ring stretching, ring-metal tilting, out-of-plane CCC bending, in-plane CCC bending, ring-breathing, C-H bending, CC stretching and CH stretching, respectively. The assigned vibrational bands are compared to those of uranocene in THF, (COT)2-, and thorocene. All vibrational frequencies of the ligands, except the 259 cm(-1) out-of-plane CCC bending mode, were found to increase upon coordination. A broad, polarizable band centered about approximately 460 cm(-1) was also observed. The 460 cm(-1) band is greatly enhanced relative to the vibrational Raman transitions with excitations from the krypton ion laser, which is indicative of an electronic resonance Raman process as has been shown previously. The electronic resonance Raman band is observed to split into three distinct bands at 450, 461, and 474 cm(-1) with 6764 A excitation. Relativistic density functional theory is used to provide theoretical interpretations of the measured spectra.  相似文献

Aqueous solutions of sodium tribromoacetate (NaCBr3CO2) and its corresponding acid (CBr3COOH) have been studied using Raman and infrared spectroscopy. The spectra of the species in solution were assigned according to symmetry Cs. Characteristic bands of CBr3CO2-(aq) and the tribromoacetic acid, CBr3COOH(aq), are discussed. For the hydrated anion, the CO2 group, the symmetric CO2 stretching mode at 1332 cm(-1) and the asymmetric stretching mode at 1651 cm(-1) are characteristic while the CO mode at 1730 cm(-1) is characteristic for the spectra of the acid. The stretching mode, νC-C at 912cm(-1) for CBr3CO2-(aq) is 10 cm(-1) lower in the anion compared with that of the acid. These characteristic modes are compared to those in acetate, CH3CO2-(aq). Coupling of the modes are fairly extensive and therefore DFT calculations have been carried out in order to compare the measured spectra with the calculated ones. The geometrical parameters such as bond length and bond angles of the tribromoacetate, and tribromoacetic acid have been obtained and may be compared with the ones published for other acetates and their conjugated acids. CBr3COOH(aq) is a moderately strong acid and the pKa value derived from quantitative Raman measurements is equal to -0.23 at 23°C. The deuterated acid CBr3COOD in heavy water has been measured as well and the assignments were given.  相似文献

Raman and infrared spectroscopy has been used to study the structure of selected vanadates including pascoite, huemulite, barnesite, hewettite, metahewettite, hummerite. Pascoite, rauvite and huemulite are examples of simple salts involving the decavanadates anion (V10O28)6-. Decavanadate consists of four distinct VO6 units which are reflected in Raman bands at the higher wavenumbers. The Raman spectra of these minerals are characterised by two intense bands at 991 and 965 cm(-1). Four pascoite Raman bands are observed at 991, 965, 958 and 905 cm(-1) and originate from four distinct VO6 sites. The other minerals namely barnesite, hewettite, metahewettite and hummerite have similar layered structures to the decavanadates but are based upon (V5O14)3- units. Barnesite is characterised by a single Raman band at 1010 cm(-1), whilst hummerite has Raman bands at 999 and 962 cm(-1). The absence of four distinct bands indicates the overlap of the vibrational modes from two of the VO6 sites. Metarossite is characterised by a strong band at 953 cm(-1). These bands are assigned to nu1 symmetric stretching modes of (V6O16)2- units and terminal VO3 units. In the infrared spectra of these minerals, bands are observed in the 837-860 cm(-1) and in the 803-833 cm(-1) region. In some of the Raman spectra bands are observed for pascoite, hummerite and metahewettite in similar positions. These bands are assigned to nu3 antisymmetric stretching of (V10O28)6- units or (V5O14)3- units. Because of the complexity of the spectra in the low wavenumber region assignment of bands is difficult. Bands are observed in the 404-458 cm(-1) region and are assigned to the nu2 bending modes of (V10O28)6- units or (V5O14)3- units. Raman bands are observed in the 530-620 cm(-1) region and are assigned to the nu4 bending modes of (V10O28)6- units or (V5O14)3- units. The Raman spectra of the vanadates in the low wavenumber region are complex with multiple overlapping bands which are probably due to VO subunits and MO bonds.  相似文献

Raman and FTIR spectroscopies of fluorescein in solutions   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Raman and Fourier transform-infra red (FT-IR) spectroscopies of fluorescein in aqueous solutions have been investigated in the pH range from 9.1 to 5.4. At pH 9.1 fluorescein is in the dianion form. At pH 5.4, fluorescein is a mixture of monoanion (approximately 85%), dianion and neutral forms (together approximately 15%). The fluorescence quantum yield drops from 0.93 for the dianion form to 0.37 for the monoanion form. The Raman and FT-IR studies focused on the frequency range from 1000 to 1800 cm(-1) which contains the skeletal vibrational modes of the xanthene moiety of fluorescein. At pH 9.1, the spectroscopic feature of fluorescein dianion are consistent with a picture of an electron delocalized among the xanthene moiety and two identical oxygens attached to opposite ends of the xanthene moiety, forming a very symmetric structure. The characteristic of fluorescein dianion is the presence of the phenoxide-like stretch at 1310 cm(-1). At pH 5.4, fluorescein monoanion has lost the symmetric structure characteristic of the dianion. The spectra of the monoanion have distinctive contributions from the phenolic bend at 1184 cm(-1). The assignments of the vibrational bands shown in Raman and FT-IR spectra are given based on both literature and the ab initio calculations at the Hartree-Fock level with HF/6-31 + +G* basis set. Excellent correlation is found between the experimental and calculated spectra.  相似文献

The vibrational spectrum of alpha-AlOOH diaspore has been calculated at the B3LYP level of theory with a double-zeta quality Gaussian-type basis set by using the periodic ab initio CRYSTAL code. Harmonic frequencies at the Gamma point and the corresponding 48 normal modes are analyzed and classified in terms of simple models (octahedra modes, hydrogen stretching, bending, rotations) by direct inspection of eigenvectors, graphical representation, and isotopic substitution. Hydrogen modes are fully separated from the octahedra modes appearing under 800 cm(-1); bending modes are located in the range of 1040-1290 cm(-1), whereas stretching modes appear at 3130-3170 cm(-1). The available experimental IR and Raman spectra are characterized by broad bands, in some cases as large as 800 cm(-1), and individual peaks are obtained by decomposing these bands in terms of Lorentz-Gauss product functions; such a fitting procedure is affected by a relatively large degree of arbitrariness. The comparison of our calculated data with the most complete sets of experimental data shows, nevertheless, a relatively good agreement for all but the H modes; the mean absolute differences for modes not involving H are 10.9 and 7.2 cm(-1) for the IR and the Raman spectra, respectively, the maximum differences being 15.5 and 18.2 cm(-1). For the H bending modes, differences increase to 30 and 37 cm(-1), and for the stretching modes, the calculated frequencies are about 200 cm(-1) higher than the experimental ones; this is not surprising, as anharmonicity is expected to red shift the OH stretching by about 150 cm(-1) in isolated OH groups and even more when the latter is involved in strong hydrogen bonds, as is the case here.  相似文献

The silico-phosphate mineral perhamite has been studied using a combination of electron and vibrational spectroscopy. SEM photomicrographs reveal that perhamite morphology consists of very thin intergrown platelets that can form a variety of habits. Infrared spectroscopy in the hydroxyl-stretching region shows a number of overlapping bands which are observed in the range 3581-3078 cm(-1). These wavenumbers enable an estimation to be made of the hydrogen bond distances in perhamite: 3.176(0), 2.880(5), 2.779(6), 2.749(3), 2.668(1) and 2.599(7)A. Intense Raman bands are observed in the region 1110-1130 and 966-996 cm(-1) and are assigned to the SiO(4) and PO(4) symmetric stretching modes. Other bands are observed in the range 1005-1096 cm(-1) and are attributed to the nu(3) antisymmetric bending modes of PO(4). Some low intensity bands around 874 cm(-1) were discovered and remain unclassified. Bands in the low-wavenumber region are assigned to the nu(4) and nu(2) out-of-plane bending modes of the OSiO and PO(4) units. Raman spectroscopy is a useful tool in determining the vibrational spectroscopy of mixed hydrated multi-anion minerals such as perhamite. Information on such a mineral would be difficult to obtain by other means.  相似文献

IR and Raman spectroscopy study on two collected cyclosilicate species: schorl (from tourmaline group), Na(Fe,Mg)(3)Al(6)(BO(3))(3)Si(6)O(18)(OH,F)(4) and beryl (Be,Mg,Fe)(3)Al(2)Si(6)O(18) were carried out. Although beryl is nominally anhydrous mineral, vibrational results strongly indicate that H(2)O molecules exist in the structural channels. The number of vibrational bands and their frequencies revealed the presence of H(2)O type II, in which C(2) symmetry axis of the water molecule is parallel to the structural channel (and to the c-axis of beryl). On the other hand, it was found that observed bands in the IR and Raman OH stretching region of the other tourmaline varieties appear as a result of the cation combinations involving dominant presence of Mg and Fe cations in the Y structural sites. The strong indication derived from the vibrational spectroscopic results that the studied mineral represents a schorl variety, coincide very well with the results obtained by powder X-ray diffraction and X-ray microprobe analysis. Both minerals show IR spectral similarities in the region below 1500 cm(-1), whereas the resemblance between the Raman spectra (1500-100 cm(-1)) is less expressed confirming that these spectra are more sensitive to compositional changes and to structural disorder. The identification of both minerals was additionally supported by studying the powder X-ray diffraction diagrams.  相似文献

As model compounds for nanosize carbon clusters, the phonon dispersion curves of polyacene are constructed based on density functional theory calculations for [n]oligoacenes (n=2-5, 10, and 15). Complete vibrational assignments are given for the observed Fourier-transform infrared and Raman spectra of [n]oligoacenes (n=2-5). Raman intensity distributions by the 1064-nm excitation are well reproduced by the polarizability-approximation calculations for naphthalene and anthracene, whereas several bands of naphthacene and pentacene at 1700-1100 cm(-1) are calculated to be enhanced by the resonance Raman effect. It is found from vibronic calculations that the coupled a(g) modes between the Kekulé deformation and joint CC stretching give rise to the Raman enhancements of the Franck-Condon type, and that the b(3g) mode corresponding to the graphite G mode is enhanced by vibronic coupling between the (1)L(a)((1)B(1u)) and (1)B(b)((1)B(2u)) states. The phonon dispersion curves of polyacene provide a uniform foundation for understanding molecular vibrations of the oligoacenes in terms of the phase difference. The mode correlated with the defect-sensitive D mode of the bulk carbon networks is also found for the present one-dimensional system.  相似文献

Raman spectra of pyrrole in aqueous medium at different pH values, 2.5, 5.5, 7.5 and 10.5 were recorded in the two spectral regions, 1,040-1,160 cm(-1) and 3,300-3,360 cm(-1) and pH dependence of the linewidth, peak position and intensity of the Raman bands corresponding to the ring breathing and symmetric nu(N-H) stretching modes were examined. A linear pH dependence of the peak positions for the ring breathing mode and a maximum at nearly neutral pH (7.5) for the symmetric nu(N-H) normal mode is observed, whereas the linewidth (FWHM) shows almost no variation with the change of pH. A slight decrease in the wavenumber position of the nu(N-H) mode at pH value >7.5 indicates that the influence of deprotonation is small, which results from a weak interaction between the reference molecule and the surrounding environment. The density functional theory (DFT) calculations were made primarily to obtain the optimized geometry and vibrational spectra of pyrrole in the ground electronic state using B3LYP functional and the highest level basis set 6-311++G(d,p). The assignments of the normal modes of pyrrole were made on the basis of potential energy distribution (PED). The calculations were also performed on protonated and deprotonated structures of pyrrole.  相似文献

The vibrational spectra of 2-amino-5-chloro benzonitrile (ACB) have been obtained by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Normal coordinate analysis has been carried out to support the vibrational analysis. The results were compared with the experimental values. With the help of scaling procedures, the observed FTIR and FT Raman vibrational frequencies were analysed and compared with the theoretically predicted vibrational spectra. The assignments of bands to various normal modes of the molecules were also carried out.  相似文献

The vibrational absorption spectra and vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectra of both enantiomers of 4-X-[2.2]paracyclophanes (X = COOCD3, Cl, I) have been recorded for a few regions in the range of 900-12000 cm(-1). The analysis of the VCD spectra for the two IR regions, 900-1600 cm(-1) and 2800-3200 cm(-1), is conducted by comparing with DFT calculations of the corresponding spectra; the latter region reveals common motifs of vibrational modes for the three molecules for aliphatic CH stretching fundamentals, whereas in the mid-IR region, one is able to identify specific signatures arising from the substituent groups X. In the CH stretching region between 2900 and 2800 cm(-1), we identify and interpret a group of three IR VCD bands due to HCH bending overtone transitions in Fermi resonance with CH stretching fundamental transitions. The analysis of the NIR region between approximately 8000 and approximately 9000 cm(-1) for X = COOCD3 reveals important features of the aromatic CH stretching overtones that are of value since the aromatic CH stretching fundamentals are almost silent. The intensifying of such overtones is attributed to electrical anharmonicity terms, which are evaluated here by ab initio methods and compared with literature data.  相似文献
