A series of new bismuth fluoroalkoxide compounds have been prepared through the treatment of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol with BiAr3 (where Ar=Ph, p-Tol). Reactions were conducted without the use of any additional solvent and the reaction products distilled or extracted with non-polar or polar Lewis base solvents. Structural analyses reveal that under variable reaction conditions the interaction of BiAr3 with (CF3)2CHOH can give a mixture of bismuth complexes with varying degrees of substitution, cluster formation and aggregation. Compounds [Bi(OCH(CF3)2)3(pyr)2] () (pyr=pyridine), [Bi(OCH(CF3)2)3(thf)3] () (thf=tetrahydrofuran), [Bi2(OCH(CF3)2)3(dabco)3] () (dabco=1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane), [PhBi(OCH(CF3)2)2]n (), [Bi2O(OCH(CF3)2)4(C7H8)]2 () (C7H8=toluene), [Bi9O7(OCH(CF3)2)13] (), [Bi2O(OCH(CF3)2)4(Et2O)]2 (), [Bi2O(OCH(CF3)2)4(thf)]2 () and [Bi2O(OCH(CF3)2)4(tmeda)2] () (tmeda=N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine) have been fully characterised including by single crystal X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Two different monoanionic O,N-chelating ligand systems, i.e., [OC6H2(CH2NMe2)-2-Me2-4,6]- (1) and [OCMe2([2]-Py)]- (2), have been applied in the synthesis of vanadium(V) complexes. The tertiary amine functionality in 1 caused reduction of the vanadium nucleus to the 4+ oxidation state with either [VOCl3], [V(=NR)Cl3], or [V(=NR)(NEt2)3] (R = Ph, (3a, 5a), R = p-Tol (3b, 5b)), and applying 1 as a reducing agent resulted in the synthesis of the vanadium(IV) complexes [VO(OC6H2(CH2NMe2)-2-Me2-4,6)2] (4) and [V(=NPh)(OC6H2(CH2NMe2)-2-Me2-4,6)2] (6). In the case of [V(=N-p-Tol)(NEt2)(OC6H2(CH2NMe2)-2-Me2-4,6)2] (7b), the reduction was sufficiently slow to allow its characterization by 1H NMR and variable-temperature studies showed it to be a five-coordinate species in solution. Although the reaction of 1 with [V(=N-p-Tol)(O-i-Pr)3] (9b) did not result in reduction of the vanadium nucleus, vanadium(V) compounds could not be isolated. Mixtures of the vanadium(V) (mono)phenolate, [V(=N-p-Tol)(O-i-Pr)2(OC6H2(CH2NMe2)-2-Me2-4,6)] (10), and the vanadium(V) (bis)phenolate, [V(=N-p-Tol)(O-i-Pr)(OC6H2(CH2NMe2)-2-Me2-4,6)2] (11), were obtained. With the pyridylalkoxide 2, no reduction was observed and the vanadium(V) compounds [VOCl2(OCMe2([2]-Py))] (12) and [V(=N-p-Tol)Cl2(OCMe2([2]-Py)] (13) were obtained. 51V NMR showed 7b and 12 to be five-coordinate in solution, whereas for 10, 11, and 13 a coordination number of 6 was found. Compounds 12 and 13 showed decreased activity compared to their nonchelated vanadium(V) analogues when applied as catalysts in ethene polymerization. Two polymorphic forms with a difference in the V-N-C angle of 12.5 degrees have been found for 6. Reaction of [V(X)(OR)3] (X=O, Np-tolyl; R=Et, nPr or tBu) with p-tert-butylhexahomotrioxacalix[3]areneH3, LH3, affords the air-stable complexes [{V(X)L}n] (X=O, n=1 (1); X=Np-tolyl, n=2 (2)). Alternatively, 1 is readily available either from interaction of [V(mes)3THF] with LH3, and subsequent oxidation with O2 or upon reaction of LLi3 with [VOCl3]. Reaction of [V(Np-tolyl)(OtBu)3] with 1,3-dimethylether-p-tert-butylcalix[4]areneH2, Cax(OMe)2(OH)2, afforded [{VO(OtBu)}2(mu-O)Cax(OMe)2(O)2].2 MeCN (42 MeCN), in which two vanadium atoms are bound to just one calix[4]arene ligand; the n-propoxide analogue of 4, namely [{VO(OnPr)}2(mu-O)Cax(OMe)2(O)2].1.5 MeCN (51.5 MeCN), has also been isolated from a similar reaction using [V(O)(OnPr)3]. Reaction of [VOCl3], LiOtBu, (Me3Si)2O and Cax(OMe)2(OH)2 gave [{VO(OtBu)Cax(OMe)2(O)2}2Li4O2].8 MeCN (68 MeCN), in which an Li4O4 cube (two of the oxygen atoms are derived from the calixarene ligands) is sandwiched between two Cax(OMe)2(O)2. The reaction between [V(Np-tolyl)(OtBu)3] and Cax(OMe)2(OH)2, afforded [V(Np-tolyl)(OtBu)2Cax(OMe)2(O)(OH)]5 MeCN (75 MeCN), in which two tert-butoxide groups remain bound to the tetrahedral vanadium atom, which itself is bound to the calix[4]arene through only one phenolic oxygen atom. Reaction of p-tert-butylcalix[4]areneH4, Cax(OH)4 and [V(Np-tolyl)(OnPr)3] led to loss of the imido group and formation of the dimeric complex [{VCax(O)4(NCMe)}2].6 MeCN (86 MeCN). Monomeric vanadyl oxo- and imidocalix[4]arene complexes [V(X)Cax(O)3(OMe)(NCMe)] (X=O (11), Np-tolyl (12)) were obtained by the reaction of the methylether-p-tert-butylcalix[4]areneH3, Cax(OMe)(OH)3, and [V(X)(OR)3] (R=Et or nPr). Vanadyl calix[4]arene fragments can be linked by the reaction of 2,6-bis(bromomethyl)pyridine with Cax(OH)4 and subsequent treatment with [VOCl3] to afford the complex [{VOCax(O)4}2(mu-2,6-(CH2)2C5H3N)].4 MeCN (134 MeCN). The compounds 1-13 have been structurally characterised by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Upon activation with methylaluminoxane, these complexes displayed poor activities, however, the use of dimethylaluminium chloride and the reactivator ethyltrichloroacetate generates highly active, thermally stable catalysts for the conversion of ethylene to, at 25 degrees C, ultra-high-molecular-weight (>5, 500,000), linear polyethylene, whilst at higher temperature (80 degrees C), the molecular weight of the polyethylene drops to about 450,000. Using 1 and 2 at 25 degrees C for ethylene/propylene co-polymerisation (50:50 feed) leads to ultra-high-molecular-weight (>2,900,000) polymer with about 14.5 mol% propylene incorporation. The catalytic systems employing the methyleneoxa-bridged complexes 1 and 2 are an order of magnitude more active than the bimetallic complexes 5 and 13, which, in turn, are an order of magnitude more active than pro-catalysts 8, 11 and 12. These differences in activity are discussed in terms of the structures of each class of complex.  相似文献

Anilido phosphinimino ancillary ligand H(2)L(1) reacted with one equivalent of rare earth metal trialkyl [Ln{CH(2)Si(CH(3))(3)}(3)(thf)(2)] (Ln=Y, Lu) to afford rare earth metal monoalkyl complexes [L(1)LnCH(2)Si(CH(3))(3)(THF)] (1 a: Ln=Y; 1 b: Ln=Lu). In this process, deprotonation of H(2)L(1) by one metal alkyl species was followed by intramolecular C--H activation of the phenyl group of the phosphine moiety to generate dianionic species L(1) with release of two equivalnts of tetramethylsilane. Ligand L(1) coordinates to Ln(3+) ions in a rare C,N,N tridentate mode. Complex l a reacted readily with two equivalents of 2,6-diisopropylaniline to give the corresponding bis-amido complex [(HL(1))LnY(NHC(6)H(3)iPr(2)-2,6)(2)] (2) selectively, that is, the C--H activation of the phenyl group is reversible. When 1 a was exposed to moisture, the hydrolyzed dimeric complex [{(HL(1))Y(OH)}(2)](OH)(2) (3) was isolated. Treatment of [Ln{CH(2)Si(CH(3))(3)}(3)(thf)(2)] with amino phosphine ligands HL(2-R) gave stable rare earth metal bis-alkyl complexes [(L(2-R))Ln{CH(2)Si(CH(3))(3)}(2)(thf)] (4 a: Ln=Y, R=Me; 4 b: Ln=Lu, R=Me; 4 c: Ln=Y, R=iPr; 4 d: Ln=Y, R=iPr) in high yields. No proton abstraction from the ligand was observed. Amination of 4 a and 4 c with 2,6-diisopropylaniline afforded the bis-amido counterparts [(L(2-R))Y(NHC(6)H(3)iPr(2)-2,6)(2)(thf)] (5 a: R=Me; 5 b: R=iPr). Complexes 1 a,b and 4 a-d initiated the ring-opening polymerization of d,l-lactide with high activity to give atactic polylactides.  相似文献

[VO2F(L-L)] (L-L = 2,2'-bipyridyl, 1,10-phenanthroline, Me2N(CH2)2NMe2) and [VO2F(py)2] (py = pyridine) have been prepared from the corresponding [VOF3(L-L)] or [VOF3(py)2] and O(SiMe3)2 in MeCN solution. VO2F (itself made from VOF3 and O(SiMe3)2 in MeCN) forms [Me4N][VO2F2] with [Me4N]F, but does not react with neutral N- or O-donor ligands. VO2Cl, prepared from VOCl3 and ozone, reacts with 2,2'-bipyridyl or 1,10-phenanthroline to form [VO2Cl(L-L)], with pyridine or pyridine-N-oxide (L) to produce [VO2Cl(L)2], and with OPPh3 or OAsPh3 (L') gives [VO2Cl(L')]. A second product from the OPPh3 system is the ionic [VO2(OPPh3)3][VO2Cl2] containing a trigonal bipyramidal cation. Neither VO2F nor VO2Cl form isolable complexes with MeCN, thf or MeO(CH2)2OMe, and both are reduced by P-, As-, S- or Se-donor ligands. [Ph4As][VO2X2] (X = F or Cl) react with 2,2'-bipyridyl to form [VO2X(2,2'-bipyridyl)], but similar reactions with weaker O-donor ligands fail. The complexes have been characterised by IR, multinuclear NMR (1H, 19F, 51V or 31P) and UV-visible spectroscopy. X-ray crystal structures are reported for [VO2F(py)2], [VO2Cl(L)2] (L = py or pyNO) and [VO2(OPPh3)3][VO2Cl2].  相似文献

The crystalline compounds [Mg(Br)(L)(thf)].0.5Et2O [L = {N(R)C(C6H3Me2-2,6)}2SiR, R = SiMe3] (1), [Mg(L){N=C=C(C(Me)=CH)2CH2}(D)2] [D = NCC6H3Me2-2,6 (2), thf (3)] and [{Mg(L)}2{mu-OSO(CF3)O-[mu}2] (4) were prepared from (a) Si(Br)(R){C(C6H3Me2-2,6)=NR}2 and Mg for (1), (b) [Mg(SiR3)2(thf)2] and 2,6-Me2C6H3CN (5 mol for (2), 3 mol for (3)), and (c) (2) + Me3SiOS(O)2CF3 for (4); a coproduct from (c) is believed to have been the trimethylsilyl ketenimide Me3SiN=C=C{C(Me)=CH}2CH2 (5).  相似文献

Regioselective nucleophilic aromatic substitution of an o-fluorine occurs to afford fluorine-substituted o-phenylene-bridged bis(anilido-aldimine) compounds o-C6H4[(C6H2R2)N=CH-C6F4-(H)N(C6H3R'2)]2 when Li(H)N-C6H3R'2 (R' = iPr, Et, Me) is reacted with o-C6H4[(C6H2R2)N=CH-C6F5]2 (R = iPr, Et, Me) in a nonpolar solvent such as diethyl ether or toluene. Successive additions of Me2Zn and SO2 gas to the bis(anilido-aldimine) compounds afford quantitatively dinuclear mu-methylsulfinato zinc complexes o-C6H4[[(C6H2R2)N=CH-C6F4-N(C6H3R'2)-kappa2N,N]Zn(mu-OS(O)Me)]2 (R = iPr, R' = iPr, 3a; R = iPr, R' = Me, 3c; R = Et, R' = (i)Pr, 3d; R = Et, R' = Et, 3e; R = Et, R' = Me, 3f; R = Me, R' = iPr, 3g; R = Me, R' = Et, 3h; R = Me, R' = Me, 3i). The molecular structure of 3c was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Fluorine-substituted complexes 3a-i show significantly higher TOF (turnover frequencies) than the unfluorinated analogues for CO2/(cyclohexene oxide) copolymerization. The TOF is highly sensitive to the substituents R and R', and the highest TOF (2480 h(-1)) is obtained with 3g (R = Me, R' = iPr). Complex 3g is less sensitive to the residual protic impurities present in the monomers and shows activity at such a low catalyst concentration as [Zn]:[cyclohexene oxide] = 1:50,000, at which the unfluorinated analogue is completely inactive. By realizing the activity at such an extremely low [Zn]:[cyclohexene oxide] ratio, we achieve a high TON (turnover number) up to 10,100. High-molecular-weight polymers (M(n), 100,000-200,000) are obtained with a rather broad molecular-weight distribution (M(w)/M(n), 1.3-2.5). The obtained polymers are not perfectly alternating, and variable carbonate linkages (65-85%) are observed depending on the N-aryl ortho substituents R and R' and the polymerization conditions.  相似文献

The nitrile ligands in the platinum(IV) complexes trans-[PtCl4(RCN)2] (R=Me, Et, CH2Ph) and cis/trans-[PtCl4(MeCN)(Me2SO)] are involved in a metalla-Pinner reaction with N-methylbenzohydroxamic acid (N-alkylated form of hydroxamic acid, hydroxamic form; F1), PhC(=O)N(Me)OH, to achieve the imino species [PtCl4[NH=C(R)ON(Me)C(=O)Ph]2 (1-3) and [PtCl4[NH=C(Me)ON(Me)C(=O)Ph](Me2SO)] (7), respectively. Treatment of trans-[PtCl4(RCN)2] (R=Me, Et) and cis/trans-[PtCl4(MeCN)(Me2SO)] with the O-alkylated form of a hydroxamic acid (hydroximic form), i.e. methyl 2,4,6-trimethylbenzohydroximate, 2,4,6-(Me3C6H2)C(OMe)=NOH (F2A), allows the isolation of [PtCl4[NH=C(R)ON=C(OMe)(2,4,6-Me3C6H2)]2] (5, 6) and [PtCl4[NH=C(Me)ON=C(OMe)(2,4,6-Me3C6H2)](Me2SO)] (8), correspondingly. In accord with the latter reaction, the coupling of nitriles in trans-[PtCl4(EtCN)2] with methyl benzohydroximate, PhC(OMe)=NOH (F2B), gives [PtCl4[NH=C(Et)ON=C(OMe)Ph]2] (4). The addition proceeds faster with the hydroximic F2, rather than with the hydroxamic form F1. The complexes 1-8 were characterized by C, H, N elemental analyses, FAB+ mass-spectrometry, IR, 1H and 13C[1H] NMR spectroscopies. The X-ray structure determinations have been performed for both hydroxamic and hydroximic complexes, i.e. 2 and 6, indicating that the imino ligands are mutually trans and they are in the E-configuration.  相似文献

A significant activation of the Ctbd1;N group in organonitriles upon their coordination to a platinum(IV) center has been found in the reaction of [PtCl(4)(RCN)(2)] (R = Me, Et, CH(2)Ph) with the nitrile oxides 2,4,6-R'(3)C(6)H(2)CNO (R' = Me, OMe) to give the (1,2,4-oxadiazole)platinum(IV) complexes (R = Me, R' = Me (1); R = Et, R' = Me (2); R = Et, R' = OMe (3); R = CH(2)Ph, R' = Me (4)); the [2 + 3] cycloaddition was performed under mild conditions (unless poor solubility of [PtCl(4)(RCN)(2)] precludes the reaction) starting even from complexed acetonitrile and propionitrile, which exhibit low reactivity in the free state. The reaction between complexes 2-4 and 1 equiv of Ph(3)P=CHCO(2)Me in CH(2)Cl(2) leads to the appropriate platinum(II) complexes (5-7); the reduction failed only in the case of 1 insofar as this complex is insoluble in the most common organic solvents. All the platinum compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, FAB mass spectrometry, and IR and (1)H, (13)C((1)H), and (195)Pt NMR spectroscopies, and three of them also by X-ray crystallography. The oxadiazoles formed in the course of the metal-mediated reaction were liberated almost quantitatively from their Pt(IV) complexes by reaction of the latter (complexes 2-4) with an excess of pyridine in chloroform, giving free 1,2,4-oxadiazoles and trans-[PtCl(4)(pyridine)(2)]; the sequence of the Pt(IV)-mediated [2 + 3] cycloaddition and the liberation opens up an alternative route for the preparation of this important class of heterocycles.  相似文献

Polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) initiated by the rare-earth borohydride complexes [Ln(BH(4))(3)(thf)(3)] (Ln=Nd, Sm) or [Sm(BH(4))(Cp*)(2)(thf)] (Cp*=eta-C(5)Me(5)) proceeds at ambient temperature to give rather syndiotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with molar masses M(n) higher than expected and quite broad molar mass distributions, which is consistent with a poor initiation efficiency. The polymerization of MMA was investigated by performing density functional theory (DFT) calculations on an eta-C(5)H(5) model metallocene and showed that in the reaction of [Eu(BH(4))(Cp)(2)] with MMA the borate [Eu(Cp)(2){(OBH(3))(OMe)C=C(Me)(2)}] (e-2) complex, which forms via the enolate [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C=C(Me)(2)}] (e), is calculated to be exergonic and is the most likely of all of the possible products. This product is favored because the reaction that leads to the formation of carboxylate [Eu(Cp)(2){OOC-C(Me)(=CH(2))}] (f) is thermodynamically favorable, but kinetically disfavored, and both of the potential products from a Markovnikov [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C-CH(Me)(CH(2)BH(3))}] (g) or anti-Markovnikov [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C-C(Me(2))(BH(3))}] (h) hydroboration reaction are also kinetically inaccessible. Similar computational results were obtained for the reaction of [Eu(BH(4))(3)] and MMA with all of the products showing extra stabilization. The DFT calculations performed by using [Eu(Cp)(2)(H)] to model the mechanism previously reported for the polymerization of MMA initiated by [Sm(Cp*)(2)(H)](2) confirmed the favorable exergonic formation of the intermediate [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C=C(Me)(2)}] (e') as the kinetic product, this enolate species ultimately leads to the formation of PMMA as experimentally observed. Replacing H by BH(4) thus prevents the 1,4-addition of the [Eu(BH(4))(Cp)(2)] borohydride ligand to the first incoming MMA molecule and instead favors the formation of the borate complex e-2. This intermediate is the somewhat active species in the polymerization of MMA initiated by the borohydride precursors [Ln(BH(4))(3)(thf)(3)] or [Sm(BH(4))(Cp*)(2)(thf)].  相似文献

Novel asymmetrically substituted azadithiolate compounds [Fe2(CO)4(kappa2-dppe){micro-SCH2N(R)CH2S}] (R=iPr, 1a; CH2CH2OCH3, 1b; CH2C6H5, 1c) have been synthesized by treatment of [Fe2(CO)6(micro-adt)] [adt=SCH2N(R)CH2S, with R=iPr, CH2CH2OCH3, CH2C6H5] with dppe (dppe=Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2) in refluxing toluene in the presence of Me3NO. 1a-c have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The electrochemical investigation of 1a-c and of [Fe2(CO)4(kappa2-dppe)(micro-pdt)] (1d) [pdt=S(CH2)3S] in MeCN- and THF-[NBu4][PF6] has demonstrated that the electrochemical reduction of 1a-d gives rise to an Electron-transfer-catalyzed (ETC) isomerization to the symmetrical isomers 2a-d where the dppe ligand bridges the iron centers. Compounds 2a-d were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and X-ray crystallography for 2a.  相似文献

The nature of the substituents present on the calix-tetrapyrrole tetra-anion ligand [[R2C(C4H2N)]4]4- (R = [-(CH2)5-]0.5, Et) determines the type of reactivity of the corresponding SmII compounds with acetylene. With R = [-(CH2)5-]0.5, dehydrogenation occurred to yield the nearly colorless dinuclear diacetylide complex [[[[-(CH2)5-]4-calix-tetrapyrrole]SmIII]2(mu-C2Li4)].THF as the only detectable reaction product. Conversely, with R = Et, acetylene coupling in addition to dehydrogenation resulted in the formation of a dimeric butatrienediyl enolate derivative [[(Et8-calix-tetrapyrrole)SmIII[Li[Li(thf)]2(mu-OCH=CH2)]]2(mu,eta2,eta'2-HC=C=C=CH)]. Reaction of the trivalent hydride [(Et8-calix-tetrapyrrole)(thf)SmIII[(mu-H)[Li(thf)]]2 or of the terminally bonded methyl derivative [(Et8-calix-tetrapyrrole)(CH3)SmIII[[Li(thf)]2[Li(thf)2](mu3-Cl)]] with acetylene resulted in a mixture of the carbide [[(Et8-calix-tetrapyrrole)SmIII]2(mu-C2Li4)].Et2O with the dimerization product [[(Et8-calix-tetrapyrrole)SmIII[Li[Li(thf)]2(mu3-OCH=CH2)]]2-mu,eta2,eta'2-HC=C=C=CH)]. The same reaction also yielded a third product, a trivalent complex [[(Et8-calix-tetrapyrrole)SmIII[Li(thf)2]]2], in which the macrocycle was isomerized by shifting the ring attachment of one of the four pyrrole rings.  相似文献

Reactions of zirconium dialkyl- or bis(amido)-dichloride complexes "[Zr(CH2SiMe3)2Cl2(Et2O)2]" or [Zr(NMe2)2Cl2(THF)2] with primary alkyl and aryl amines are described. Reaction of "[Zr(CH2SiMe3)2Cl2(Et2O)2]" with RNH2 in THF afforded dimeric [Zr2(mu-NR)2Cl4(THF)4](R=2,6-C6H3iPr2 (1), 2,6-C6H3Me2 (2) or Ph (3)), [Zr2(mu-NR)2Cl4(THF)3](R=tBu (5), iPr (6), CH2Ph (7)), or the "ate" complex [Zr2(mu-NC6F5)2Cl6(THF)2{Li(THF)3}2](4, the LiCl coming from the in situ prepared "[Zr(CH2SiMe3)2Cl2(Et2O)2]"). With [Zr(NMe2)2Cl2(THF)2] the compounds [Zr2(mu-NR)2Cl4(L)x(L')y](R=2,6-C6H3iPr2 (8), 2,6-C6H3Me2 (9), Ph (10) or C6F5 (11); (L)x(L')y=(NHMe2)3(THF), (NHMe2)2(THF)2 or undefined), [Zr2(mu-NtBu)2Cl4(NHMe2)3] (12) and insoluble [Zr(NR)Cl2(NHMe2)]x(R=iPr (13) or CH2Ph (14)) were obtained. Attempts to form monomeric terminal imido compounds by reaction of or with an excess of pyridine led, respectively, to the corresponding dimeric adducts [Zr2(mu-2,6-C6H3Me2)2Cl4(py)4] (15) and [Zr2(mu-NtBu)2Cl4(py)3] (16). The X-ray structures of 1, 2, 4, 8, 12 and 15 have been determined.  相似文献

The reaction of the {2,6-[2,6-(iPr)2PhN=C(CH3)]2(C5H3N)}FeCl2 catalyst precursor with R3Al [R = Me, Et] afforded {2,6-[2,6-(iPr)2PhN=C(CH3)]2(C5H3N)}AlMe2 (1) and [eta4-LAl2Et3(mu-Cl)]Fe-(eta6-C7H8) (2), respectively. These paramagnetic species arises from both transmetalation, during which the strong terdentate ligand loses the Fe center, and reduction. The extent of reduction depends on the nature of the Al alkylating agent. The electrons necessary for the reduction are likely to be provided by cleavage of Fe-C bond of transient low-valent organo-Fe species.  相似文献

Manganese alkyl complexes stabilised by 2,6-bis(N,N'-2,6-diisopropyl-phenyl)acetaldiminopyridine ((iPr)BIP) have been selectively prepared by reacting suitable alkylmanganese(II) precursors, such as homoleptic dialkyls [(MnR(2))(n)] or the corresponding THF adducts [{MnR(2)(thf)}(2)] with the mentioned ligand. For R=CH(2)CMe(2)Ph or CH(2)Ph, formally Mn(I) derivatives are produced, in which one of the two R groups migrates to the 4-position of the central pyridine ring in the (iPr)BIP ligand. In contrast, a true dialkyl complex [MnR(2)((iPr)BIP)] can be isolated for R=CH(2)SiMe(3). In solution, this compound slowly evolves to the corresponding Mn(I) monoalkyl derivative. A detailed study of this reaction provides insights on its mechanism, showing that it proceeds through successive alkyl migrations, followed by spontaneous dehydrogenation. Protonation of [Mn(CH(2)SiMe(3))(2)((iPr)BIP)] with the pyridinium salt [H(Py)(2)][BAr'(4)] (Ar'=3,5-C(6)H(3)(CF(3))(2)) leads to the cationic species [Mn(CH(2)SiMe(3))(Py)((iPr)BIP)](+). Alternatively, the same complex can be produced by reaction of the pyridine complex [{Mn(CH(2)SiMe(3))(2)(Py)}(2)] with the protonated ligand salt [H(iPr)BIP](+)[BAr'(4)](-). This last reaction allows the synthesis of analogous cationic alkylmanganese(II) derivatives, when precursors of type [MnR(2)((iPr)BIP)] are not available. Treatment of these neutral and cationic (iPr)BIP alkylmanganese derivatives with a range of typical co-catalysts (modified methylaluminoxane (MMAO), B(C(6)F(5))(3), trimethyl or triisobutylaluminum) does not lead to active ethylene polymerisation catalysts.  相似文献

Redox transmetallation/ligand exchange reactions of lanthanoid metals (Ln), Hg(C6F5)2 and HOAr(OMe) (Ar(OMe) = C6H2-2,6-Bu(t)-4-OMe), in thf (tetrahydrofuran) gave, for Ln = Yb, [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3], and for Ln = Sm, a mixture of [Sm(II)(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3] and mainly [Sm(III)(Ar(OMe))3(thf)] x thf. X-Ray structure determinations show the divalent complexes to have distorted square-pyramidal stereochemistry with transoid thf and OAr(OMe) ligands in the basal plane. Treatment of [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3] with diethyl ether or PhMe at room temperature gave [Yb(OAr(OMe))2] or [Yb(OAr(OMe))2] x 0.5 PhMe. For lanthanoids Ln = Nd, Er or Y, the reactions with Hg(C6F5)2 and HOAr(OMe) yielded complex product mixtures, from one of which the novel erbium aryloxide fluoride cage [Er3(OAr(OMe))4(mu2-F)3(mu3-F)2(thf)4] x thf x 0.5 C6H14 was isolated. The cage core consists of a triangle of Er atoms joined to two mu3-fluoride ligands and three further mu2-fluorides bridge adjacent Er atoms. One of the Er atoms is six-coordinate with additionally two OAr(OMe) ligands whilst the other two have one OAr(OMe) and two thf ligands and are seven coordinate. Substitution of Hg(C6F5)2 by Hg(CCPh)2 in the redox transmetallation/ligand exchange reactions gave the new derivatives [Ln(OAr(OMe))3(thf)] x thf (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Ho) in good yields whilst Ln = Yb gave [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3]. Recrystallisation of [Sm(OAr(OMe))3(thf)] x thf from dme (1,2-dimethoxyethane) yielded [Sm(OAr(OMe))3(dme)]. Structural characterisation of [Ln(OAr(OMe))3(thf)] x thf (Ln = Nd, Ho) and [Sm(OAr(OMe))3(dme)] showed monomeric four-coordinate distorted tetrahedral and five-coordinate distorted square-pyramidal complexes respectively. For the smaller lanthanoids Ln = Y, Er or Lu, reactions with Hg(CCPh)2 and HOAr(OMe) gave the mixed aryloxide/alkynide complexes [Ln(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2]. Oxidation of the divalent ytterbium aryloxide [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3] by Hg(CCPh)2 in thf gave the analogous [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2]. The erbium alkynide [Er(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2] x 0.25 C6H14 has distorted square-pyramidal stereochemistry with transoid OAr(OMe) and thf ligands in the basal plane and a rare (for Ln) terminal alkynide ligand in the apical position. The reactive Lu-C bond in the [Lu(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2] complexes could be slowly cleaved by free HOAr(OMe) in hydrocarbon solvents, yielding Lu(OAr(OMe))3 species and fortuitous partial hydrolysis of [Er(Ar(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2] gave the dimeric [Er(OAr(OMe))2(mu-OH)2]2.  相似文献

Acyclic o-phenylene-bridged bis(anilido-aldimine) compounds, o-C(6)H(4){C(6)H(2)R(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-(H)N(C(6)H(3)R'(2))}(2) and related 30-membered macrocyclic compounds, o-C(6)H(4){C(6)H(2)R'(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-(H)N-C(6)H(2)R(2)}(2) (o-C(6)H(4)) are prepared. Successive additions of Me(2)Zn and SO(2) gas to the bis(anilido-aldimine) compounds afford quantitatively dinuclear mu-methylsulfinato zinc complexes, o-C(6)H(4){(C(6)H(2)R(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-N(C(6)H(3)R'(2))-kappa(2)-N,N)Zn(mu-OS(O)Me)}(2) (R = iPr and R' = iPr, 29; R = Et and R' = Et, 30; R = Me and R'= Me, 31; R = Me and R' = iPr, 32; R = Et and R' = Me, 33; R = Et and R' = iPr, 34; R = iPr and R' = Et, 35) and o-C(6)H(4){C(6)H(2)R'(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-N-C(6)H(2)R(2)-kappa(2)-N,N)Zn(mu-OS(O)Me)}(2) (o-C(6)H(4)) (R = Et and R'= Et, 36; R = Me and R' = Me, 37; R = iPr and R' = Me, 38; R = Et and R' = Me, 39; R = Me and R'= iPr, 40). Molecular structures of 34 and 40 are confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Complexes 30-35 show high activity for cyclohexene oxide/CO(2) copolymerization at low [Zn]/[monomer] ratio (1:5600), whereas the complex of mononucleating beta-diketiminate {[(C(6)H(3)Et(2))N=C(Me)CH=C(Me)N(C(6)H(3)Et(2))]Zn(mu-OS(O)Et)}(2) shows negligible activity in the same condition. Activity is sensitive to the N-aryl ortho substituents and the highest activity is observed with 32. Turnover number up to 2980 and molecular weight (M(n)) up to 284 000 are attained with 32 at such a highly diluted condition as [Zn]/[monomer] = 1:17 400. Macrocyclic complexes 36-40 show negligible activity for copolymerization.  相似文献

Ruthenium hydrogensulfido complexes [CpRu(P-P)(SH)] ((P-P)=Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2) (dppm), Ph(2)PC(2)H(4)PPh(2) (dppe)) were obtained from the corresponding chloro complexes by Cl/SH exchange. Condensation with a range of cinnamaldehydes gave thiocinnamaldehyde complexes [CpRu(P-P)(S=CH-CR(2)=CHR(1))]PF(6) (R(1)=C(6)H(4)X, R(2)=H, Me, X=H, OMe, NMe(2), Cl, NO(2)) as highly-colored crystalline compounds. The thiocinnamaldehyde complexes undergo [4+2]-cycloaddition reactions with vinyl ethers CH(2)=CHOR(3) (R(3)=Et, Bu) and styrenes H(2)C=CHC(6)H(4)Y (Y=H, Me, OMe, Cl, Br, NO(2)) to give complexes of 2,4,5-trisubstituted 3,4-dihydro-2H-thiopyrans as mixtures of two diastereoisomers. The rate of addition of para-substituted styrenes H(2)C=CHC(6)H(4)Y to [CpRu(dppm)(S=CH-CH=CHPh)]PF(6) increases in the series Y=NO(2), Br, Cl, H, Me, OMe, indicating that the cycloaddition is dominated by the HOMO(dienophile)-LUMO(diene) interaction. The strained dienophiles norbornadiene and norbornene also add, giving ruthenium complexes of 3-thia-tricyclo[6.2.1.0(2,7)]undeca-4,9-dienes and 3-thia-tricyclo[6.2.1.0(2,7)]undec-4-enes, respectively. Addition reactions with acrolein, methacrolein, methyl vinyl ketone, acrylic ester, or ethyl propiolate finally yielded ruthenium complexes of 3,4-disubstituted 3,4-dihydro-2H-thiopyrans and 4H-thiopyrans, respectively.  相似文献

2-Phosphanylethylcyclopentadienyl lithium compounds, Li[C(5)R'(4)(CH(2))(2)PR(2)] (R = Et, R' = H or Me, R = Ph, R' = Me), have been prepared from the reaction of spirohydrocarbons C(5)R'(4)(C(2)H(4)) with LiPR(2). C(5)Et(4)HSiMe(2)CH(2)PMe(2), was prepared from reaction of Li[C(5)Et(4)] with Me(2)SiCl(2) followed by Me(2)PCH(2)Li. The lithium salts were reacted with [RhCl(CO)(2)](2), [IrCl(CO)(3)] or [Co(2)(CO)(8)] to give [M(C(5)R'(4)(CH(2))(2)PR(2))(CO)] (M = Rh, R = Et, R' = H or Me, R = Ph, R' = Me; M = Ir or Co, R = Et, R' = Me), which have been fully characterised, in many cases crystallographically as monomers with coordination of the phosphorus atom and the cyclopentadienyl ring. The values of nu(CO) for these complexes are usually lower than those for the analogous complexes without the bridge between the cyclopentadienyl ring and the phosphine, the exception being [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] (Cp' = C(5)Me(4)), the most electron rich of the complexes. [Rh(C(5)Et(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)PMe(2))(CO)] may be a dimer. [Co(2)(CO)(8)] reacts with C(5)H(5)(CH(2))(2)PEt(2) or C(5)Et(4)HSiMe(2)CH(2)PMe(2) (L) to give binuclear complexes of the form [Co(2)(CO)(6)L(2)] with almost linear PCoCoP skeletons. [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] and [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PPh(2))(CO)] are active for methanol carbonylation at 150 degrees C and 27 bar CO, with the rate using [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PPh(2))(CO)] (0.81 mol dm(-3) h(-1)) being higher than that for [RhI(2)(CO)(2)](-) (0.64 mol dm(-3) h(-1)). The most electron rich complex, [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] (0.38 mol dm(-3) h(-1)) gave a comparable rate to [Cp*Rh(PEt(3))(CO)] (0.30 mol dm(-3) h(-1)), which was unstable towards oxidation of the phosphine. [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))I(2)], which is inactive for methanol carbonylation, was isolated after the methanol carbonylation reaction using [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)]. Neither of [M(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] (M = Co or Ir) was active for methanol carbonylation under these conditions, nor under many other conditions investigated, except that [Ir(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] showed some activity at higher temperature (190 degrees C), probably as a result of degradation to [IrI(2)(CO)(2)](-). [M(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] react with MeI to give [M(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(C(O)Me)I] (M = Co or Rh) or [Ir(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))Me(CO)]I. The rates of oxidative addition of MeI to [Rh(C(5)H(4)(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] and [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PPh(2))(CO)] are 62 and 1770 times faster than to [Cp*Rh(CO)(2)]. Methyl migration is slower, however. High pressure NMR studies show that [Co(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] and [Cp*Rh(PEt(3))(CO)] are unstable towards phosphine oxidation and/or quaternisation under methanol carbonylation conditions, but that [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(CO)] does not exhibit phosphine degradation, eventually producing inactive [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))I(2)] at least under conditions of poor gas mixing. The observation of [Rh(Cp'(CH(2))(2)PEt(2))(C(O)Me)I] under methanol carbonylation conditions suggests that the rhodium centre has become so electron rich that reductive elimination of ethanoyl iodide has become rate determining for methanol carbonylation. In addition to the high electron density at rhodium.  相似文献

The bridged. C1-symmetric, single-component zirconocene [Zr((Cp)(Ind)CMe2](Me)(thf)](BPh4) (Ind = indenyl, Cp = cyclopentadienyl) polymerises methyl methacrylate (MMA) selectively to isotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) without further cocatalysts or activators. To elucidate the stereoselective steps of the polymerisation of MMA by using this catalyst we studied the propagation steps occurring with the derivative [Zr[(Cp)(Ind)CH2][-O-C(OMe)=C(Me)(Et)](MMA)]+ by ab initio calculations at the Hartree-Fock(HF) level of theory. After the initiation step, which consumes the first two MMA molecules, each new catalytic cycle begins with the stereoselective addition of a new MMA molecule at the indenyl side of the zirconocene fragment. At the same time the enolate ring undergoes a stereoselective in-plane ring shift to the side opposite to the indenyl ring. These findings are used to postulate a mechanism for the polymerisation that explains the stereoselective synthesis of isotactic PMMA.  相似文献
