We study high energy proton-proton elastic scattering in the framework of Pomeron exchange model. The cross section of the process are calculated without any free parameters. Our finding is that Pomeron exchange theory gives perfect fits to total cross section at the energy of√s higher than 10 GeV and to differential cross section at the momentum transfer [t] less than 1.5 GeV2. For total cross section at lower energy √s < 10 GeV and differential cross section at larger momentum transfer region of |t| > 1.5 GeV2, the Pomeron exchange theory needs to be improved. 相似文献

Based on the quark-gluon structure of nucleon and the existence of Odderon in nucleon via gluon selfinteraction, the elastic scattering of pp at high energies is studied. Our theoretical predictions reproduce experimental data perfectly. The contributions from individual terms of quark-quark, gluon-gluon interactions, quark-gluon interference and the Odderon terms to total cross section are analyzed. In addition to the leading quark-quark contribution, the Odderon contribution is quite important. In particular, the Odderon plays an essential role in fitting to data. Therefore, We may claim that the high energy pp and pp elastic scattering may be good processes to search for the Odderon, the three Reggeized gluon bound states. 相似文献

Based on analysis of scattering matrix S, and its properties such as analyticity, unitarity, Lorentz invariance, and crossing symmetry relation, the Regge theory was proposed to describe hadron-hadron scattering at high energies before the advent of QCD, and correspondingly a Reggeon concept was born as a mediator of strongly interaction. This theory serves as a successful approach and has explained a great number of experimental data successfully, which proves that the Regge theory can be regarded as a basic theory of hadron interaction at high energies and its validity in many applications. However, as new experimental data come out, we have some difficulties in explaining the data. The new experimental total cross section violates the predictions of Regge theory, which shows that Regge formalism is limited in its applications to high energy data. To understand new experimental measurements, a new exchange theory was consequently born and its mediator is called Pomeron, which has vacuum quantum numbers. The new theory named as Pomeron exchange theory which reproduces the new experimental data of diffractive processes successfully. There are two exchange mediators: Reggeon and Pomeron. Reggeon exchange theory can only produce data at the relatively lower energy region, while Pomeron exchange theory fits the data only at higher-energy region, separately. In order to explain the data in the whole energy region, we propose a Reggeon-Pomeron model to describe high-energy hadron- hadron scattering and other diffractive processes. Although the Reggeon-Pomeron model is successful in describing high-energy hadron-hadron interaction in the whole energy region, it is a phenomenological model. After the advent of QCD, people try to reveal the mystery of the phenomenological theory from QCD since hadron-hadron processes is a strong interaction, which is believed to be described by QCD. We propose QCD inspired model to calculate ^-pp and pp elastic scatterings at high energies in this paper. A calculation for total cross section of ^-pp and pp is performed in which the contributions from gluon-gluon, quark-quark, and gluon-quark interactions are included. Our results show that the QCD inspired model gives a perfect fit to experimental data of total cross section both for ^-pp and pp elastic scatterings at the whole energy region where experimental data existed at FNAL and CERN. 相似文献

The elastic scattering angular distributions of 11B projectile on light, medium, and heavy target nuclei including 7Li, 9Be, 12C, 16O, 24,25,26Mg, 27Al, 28Si, 40Ca, 58Ni, 59Co, 60Ni, 197Au, 208Pb, and 209Bi have been analyzed at various incident energies. The theoretical results have been obtained by using two different nuclear potentials within the framework of the optical model (OM). Firstly, the double folding potential for real part and the Wood-Saxon (WS) potential for imaginary part have been applied. Secondly, the calculations with double folding potential for both real and imaginary part have been performed and compared with the experimental data. It has been seen that the results are in very good agreement with the experimental data. Also, the volume integrals and cross-sections for each reaction have been obtained. Finally, a new and simple formula for the imaginary potential depth has been derived to clarify the nuclear interactions of 11B nucleus at low energy reactions. 相似文献

The angular distributions of the elastic scattering of protons at an energy of 800 MeV by 16O and 20Ne nuclei are described in terms of the optical model scattering theory. Single folding model is applied to calculate the optical potential taking the effective nucleon-nucleon interaction to be in two forms. One form includes the zero-range pseudo-potential term and the other includes a two-body Pauli correlation function. Analytical expressions for the real part of the optical potential are obtained for both forms. The imaginary part of the optical potential is taken to be of the Woods-Saxon's shape. It is found that introducing the Pauli correlation function improves the agreement with the experimental data for the elastic scattering differential cross-sections of protons with the target nuclei 16O and 20Ne. 相似文献

分析了北京大学核物理实验小组在日本RIKEN实验室完成的25 MeV/u 6He和9Be的弹性散射实验数据,得到了弹性散射微分截面角分布. 利用双折叠模型,并通过拟合弹性散射微分截面得到了此弹靶体系在此能量下的弹性散射光学势. We analyzed the 6He elastic scattering from 9Be target at 25 MeV/u. A Center of Beam (CB) method was used to calibrate the particle tracking detectors and set the reference system of the detection system. The double folding model approach was used to calculate the real part of the optical model potential. The K-nucleus differential elastic scattering cross section for 12C and 40 Ca at pκ = 800 Me V/c is calculated with three momentum-dependent optical potential models,which are density-dependent,relativistic mean field,and hybrid model,respectively.It is found that the forms of momentum-dependent optical potential models proposed by us are reasonable and gain success in the calculations and the momentum-dependent hybrid model is the best model for the K- nucleus elastic scattering. 相似文献
