Geometric phase is investigated for optical free induction decay with a modified Bloch equation by establishing in connecting
density matrices with nonunit vector ray in a complex projective Hilbert space. Under the limiting of pure state, our approach
may give out the Berry phase and Aharonov and Anandan one. Furthermore, by comparing our approach with the kinematic one,
we find that, after a suitable modification to the kinematic approach, both differences are very small for the Berry phase

利用衍射积分公式数值模拟了不同阶次的空间变化偏振矢量贝塞尔高斯(BG)光束经过强聚焦系统后在焦点附近的强度分布。数值结果显示空间变化偏振矢量BG光束聚焦后在光束传播轴负方向存在焦斑移位现象,其焦斑移位的大小与光束的模阶次、光束宽度、波长以及局部偏振状态密切相关。矢量光束偏振态的变化依靠液晶相位延迟器(LCVR)的相位延迟角度来控制,由于LCVR的相位延迟角度可以在0~π之间连续变化,从而改变光束的局部偏振状态,间接实现了对矢量光束焦斑移位大小的实时控制,在光学微操纵领域具有潜在的应用价值。 相似文献

The Pancharatnam phase when an ideal cavity is filled with a Kerr-like medium and coupling is affected through a nondegenerate Raman two-photon process is studied. A careful investigation is made seeking exact results on the temporal evolution of atomic inversion and Pancharatnam phase. We invoke the mathematical notion of maximum variation of a function to construct a measure for Pancharatnam phase fluctuations. It is shown that Pancharatnam phase contains explicit information about the statistics of the field and atomic coherence, and is also shown that addition of the Kerr medium has an important effect on the properties of this phase. The results show that the effect of the Kerr medium changes the quasiperiod of the Pancharatnam phase evolution. The influence of Stark shift on the atomic inversion and the Pancharatnam phase in both presence and absence of the nonlinear medium is examined. General conclusions reached are illustrated by numerical results. 相似文献

Noting the analogy between electro-magnetic fields and the vector fields of phase gradients obtained by heterodyne techniques, we propose a new algorithm for least-squares phase unwrapping. Instead of solving a Poisson equation for the unwrapped phase map or using Green’s formulation, we directly remove singular points or residues from the measured phase map by superposing sign-reversed vortex fields which cancel out the rotational vector fields associated with the phase singular points. 相似文献

Pancharatnam phase and Berry phase are investigated and compared for a three-level atom crosses a double cavity with two near resonant fields. Geometric phase of mixed state is expanded for a two-level atom interacting with a quantized field mode, where master equation
is a modified Bloch equation with constant terms that are used to explain emergence of sidebands in the spectrum of the fluorescent
light. The results show that geometric phase transition is observed for medium initial angle when the Rabi frequency associated
with the driving field becomes comparable to the spectral width of the atom. We find that the geometric phase transition depends

We show that a geometric phase may appear in the Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) in which an adiabatic procedure happens, then a perturbation expression of geometric phase is obtained for the case of time-averaged orbiting potential trap. The phase caused by the adiabatic bias magnetic field in one BEC may interfere with another, which is similar to the phase interference of Aharonov-Susskind effect, and can be observed by experiments. 相似文献

This paper focuses on the off-diagonal geometric phase of the thermal state of a two-qubit system under the external magnetic field. The properties of geometric phases of the state in critical and non-critical regions are discussed respectively. The sudden change of structure of degeneracy at the critical point do not affect the geometric phase of the model. Increasing temperature tends to suppress the off-diagonal geometric phase. The new approach to the self-action theory of intensive localized pulses, based on the hydrodynamical analogy in the non-linear geometrical optics, is proposed. The complex of phenomena of amplitude-phase non-stationary evolution of the intensive localized electromagnetic wave pulses in the dispersive medium is analysed in the framework of such approach. The wide classes of exact analytical solutions of the non-linear self-action equations, connected with such pulses, are constructed. The simple form of these solutions, represented with the well-known eigen-functions of the Laplace equation in special variables, permits to divide the pulse non-linear deformation qualitatively different effects. These solutions predict the large-scale pulse self-stratification and the origin of the quick intensity increase area during the non-linear evolution of the initially smooth distribution of the wave. The characteristic points of such evolution are represented by the singularities in the exact solutions of the non-linear geometrical optics. All results, describing the dynamics of the non-linear amplitude-phase re-building of the pulse, are represented in the simple algebraic form. 相似文献
