系统总结曙光一号自由电子激光器理论计算的主要结果:包括曙光一号装置主要参数的选取和理解;磁场失谐曲线的计算;常参数摇摆器和变参数摇摆器的主要结果;高阶波导模的贡献;电子束参数扰动对激光性能的影响;空间电荷效应等。计算结果表明,常参数摇摆器激光输出功率可达80MW,效率约50%;变参数摇摆器激光输出功率可达250MW左右,效率约16%。 相似文献

毫米波圆柱波导自由电子激光放大器的数值模拟 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
本文以单粒子理论为基础,在不计空间电荷效应的近似条件下推导了带轴向引导磁场的三维圆柱波导非线性模拟方程组。用CAGFEL程序计算、分析了在带入口区、常数摇摆器条件下两组不同物理参数的自由电子激光放大器的物理模型。计算结果可靠,物理图象合理。对于其中的第二组参数还着重考查了光波频率、输入功率和摇摆器场振幅改变对输出功率和效率的影响。上述这些计算结果对0.7MeV 自由电子激光放大器的设计和实验具有一定的参考价值。 相似文献

本文使用1(2/2)维电磁相对论粒子程序对自由电子激光进行计算机模拟。在线性段,计算机模拟与用解析理论计算的增长率符合很好。与没有轴向引导磁场的自由电子激光相比,加一弱轴向引导磁场时,Wiggler场的强度可降得较低。加一强轴向引导磁场时,波能量达到饱和水平所需时间较短。 相似文献

The field of radiation emission from electron beams is reviewed with special reference to work related to free-electron lasers.
Different schemes of interaction in periodic structures, electromagnetic slow-wave structures, and in transverse confining
force are distinguished. Various effects and devices such as traveling wave amplifiers, Smith-Purcell radiators, Cerenkov
and bremsstrahlung-free electron lasers, cyclotron resonance masers, coherent bremsstrahlung and channeling radiation are
discussed and the differences and relations among them are explained. A simple comprehensive model is developed to describe
electron-beam interaction with an electromagnetic wave in periodic electromagnetic structures. The model is general enough
to describe both collective and single-electron modes of interaction and quantum mechanical, classical and Fermi degenerate
regimes. Simplified expressions are developed for the gain by stimulated emission of radiation and for gain conditions of
the Smith-Purcell-Cerenkov type free-electron lasers under conditions of very thin electron beams and infinite interaction
length.

The use of incoherent multiwave pump radiation or randomly varying magnetostatic fields (stochastic undulators) for improving
the energy conversion efficiency in free-electron lasers based on stimulated wave scattering and the stimulated undulator
emission of relativistic electron beams is proposed. It is shown within the quasilinear approximation that the electronic
efficiency increases in proportion to the width of the pump spectrum due to enrichment of the spectrum of combination waves
which are synchronous with the electron beam and realization of a mechanism of stochastic particle deceleration when the signal
wave is monochromatic. At the same time, the efficiency scarcely depends on the spread of the beam parameters, making the
use of the method promising for improving the efficiency of free-electron lasers powered by intense relativistic electron
beams.

The statistical characteristics of an electromagnetic wave reflected from a system of successive free-electron mirrors are
investigated. Such a configuration of the electron stream is characteristic in particular for free-electron lasers. An expresson
is obtained for the squeeze factor of the field of the reflected wave, and the optimal geometric configuration of the system
of electrons is found. Numerical estimates show that the squeezing can be substantial when the number of electronic mirrors
is large.

现代光源的发展不断推动着人们从更深层次上理解物质的基本结构和动力学行为。X射线自由电子激光作为最先进的光源,其超高的峰值功率、超短的脉冲长度和优良的相干性,为人们以原子级时空分辨率探测和操控物质中的超快过程提供了可能。目前全世界已有多个X射线自由电子激光装置建成并投入使用,在原子分子物理、化学、生命科学、材料科学等各学科应用中都显示出了重要价值。同时大量的研究工作也集中于继续提高X射线自由电子激光的性能,包括把脉冲持续时间从fs量级进一步缩短至as量级,这将为超快科学的发展带来新突破。以超快脉冲产生为主线,综述了近年来超快X射线自由电子激光产生方案的研究进展,从产生原理、方案特性、最新成果等方面介绍了各类产生方案,总结对比了各方案的优缺点,最后对超快X射线自由电子激光的未来发展方向进行了展望。 相似文献

本文用参量放大器模型,分析了喇曼型自由电子激光中等离子体波的作用。结果表明,在忽略电子束初始横向速度的情况下,慢等离子体波与散射波耦合的必要条件为kwv20>ωc,即电子的平衡态运动应处于第一组轨道。文中还求出散射波的色散特性和增益公式,以及散射波与等离子体波的相位匹配关系。

We predict that coherent electromagnetic radiation in the 1-100 THz frequency range can be generated in crystalline materials when subject to a shock wave or soliton-like propagating excitation. To our knowledge, this phenomenon represents a fundamentally new form of coherent optical radiation source that is distinct from lasers and free-electron lasers. The radiation is generated by the synchronized motion of large numbers of atoms when a shock wave propagates through a crystal. General analytical theory and NaCl molecular dynamics simulations demonstrate coherence lengths on the order of mm (around 20 THz) and potentially greater. The emission frequencies are determined by the shock speed and the lattice constants of the crystal and can potentially be used to determine atomic-scale properties of the shocked material. 相似文献

Pulsed wire technique is a fast and accurate method for the measurement of first and second field integrals of undulators
used in free-electron lasers and synchrotron light sources. In this paper, we present a theoretical analysis of this technique
by finding out the analytic solution of the differential equation for the forced vibration of the wire taking dispersion due
to stiffness into account. Method of images is used to extend these solutions to include reflections at the ends. For long
undulators, the effect of dispersion of the acoustic wave in the wire could be significant and our analysis provides a method
for the evaluation of the magnetic field profile even in such cases taking the effect due to dispersion into account in an
