A facile, one-pot synthesis of [Na(OC≡As)(dioxane)x] (x=2.3–3.3) in 78 % yield is reported through the reaction of arsine gas with dimethylcarbonate in the presence of NaOtBu and 1,4-dioxane. It has been employed for the synthesis of the first arsaketenyl-functionalized germylene [LGeAsCO] ( 2 , L=CH[CMeN(Dipp)]2; Dipp=2,6-iPr2C6H3) from the reaction with LGeCl ( 1 ). Upon exposure to ambient light, 2 undergoes CO elimination to form the 1,3-digerma-2,4-diarsacyclobutadiene [L2Ge2As2] ( 3 ), which contains a symmetric Ge2As2 ring with ylide-like Ge=As bonds. Remarkably, the CO ligand located at the arsenic center of 2 can be exchanged with PPh3 or an N-heterocyclic carbene iPrNHC donor (iPrNHC=1,3-diisopropyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene) to afford the novel germylidenylarsinidene complexes [LGe-AsPPh3] ( 4 ) and [LGe-As(iPrNHC)] ( 5 ), respectively, demonstrating transition-metal-like ligand substitution at the arsinidene-like As atom. The formation of 2 – 5 and their electronic structures have been studied by DFT calculations.  相似文献

Strategies for the synthesis of highly electrophilic AuI complexes from either hydride‐ or chloride‐containing precursors have been investigated by employing sterically encumbered Dipp‐substituted expanded‐ring NHCs (Dipp=2,6‐iPr2C6H3). Thus, complexes of the type (NHC)AuH have been synthesised (for NHC=6‐Dipp or 7‐Dipp) and shown to feature significantly more electron‐rich hydrides than those based on ancillary imidazolylidene donors. This finding is consistent with the stronger σ‐donor character of these NHCs, and allows for protonation of the hydride ligand. Such chemistry leads to the loss of dihydrogen and to the trapping of the [(NHC)Au]+ fragment within a dinuclear gold cation containing a bridging hydride. Activation of the hydride ligand in (NHC)AuH by B(C6F5)3, by contrast, generates a species (at low temperatures) featuring a [HB(C6F5)3]? fragment with spectroscopic signatures similar to the “free” borate anion. Subsequent rearrangement involves B?C bond cleavage and aryl transfer to the carbophilic metal centre. Under halide abstraction conditions utilizing Na[BArf4] (Arf=C6H3(CF3)2‐3,5), systems of the type [(NHC)AuCl] (NHC=6‐Dipp or 7‐Dipp) generate dinuclear complexes [{(NHC)Au}2(μ‐Cl)]+ that are still electrophilic enough at gold to induce aryl abstraction from the [BArf4]? counterion.  相似文献

The first 4π‐electron resonance‐stabilized 1,3‐digerma‐2,4‐diphosphacyclobutadiene [LH2Ge2P2] 4 (LH=CH[CHNDipp]2 Dipp=2,6‐iPr2C6H3) with four‐coordinate germanium supported by a β‐diketiminate ligand and two‐coordinate phosphorus atoms has been synthesized from the unprecedented phosphaketenyl‐functionalized N‐heterocyclic germylene [LHGe‐P=C=O] 2 a prepared by salt‐metathesis reaction of sodium phosphaethynolate (P≡C?ONa) with the corresponding chlorogermylene [LHGeCl] 1 a . Under UV/Vis light irradiation at ambient temperature, release of CO from the P=C=O group of 2 a leads to the elusive germanium–phosphorus triply bonded species [LHGe≡P] 3 a , which dimerizes spontaneously to yield black crystals of 4 as isolable product in 67 % yield. Notably, release of CO from the bulkier substituted [LtBuGe‐P=C=O] 2 b (LtBu=CH[C(tBu)N‐Dipp]2) furnishes, under concomitant extrusion of the diimine [Dipp‐NC(tBu)]2, the bis‐N,P‐heterocyclic germylene [DippNC(tBu)C(H)PGe]2 5 .  相似文献

Facile oxygenation of the acyclic amido‐chlorosilylene bis(N‐heterocyclic carbene) Ni0 complex [{N(Dipp)(SiMe3)ClSi:→Ni(NHC)2] ( 1 ; Dipp=2,6‐iPr2C6H4; N‐heterocyclic carbene=C[(iPr)NC(Me)]2) with N2O furnishes the first Si‐metalated iminosilane, [DippN=Si(OSiMe3)Ni(Cl)(NHC)2] ( 3 ), in a rearrangement cascade. Markedly, the formation of 3 proceeds via the silanone (Si=O)–Ni π‐complex 2 as the initial product, which was predicted by DFT calculations and observed spectroscopically. The Si=O and Si=N moieties in 2 and 3 , respectively, show remarkable hydroboration reactivity towards H−B bonds of boranes, in the former case corroborating the proposed formation of a (Si=O)–Ni π‐complex at low temperature.  相似文献

The Zintl anion (Ge2As2)2? represents an isostructural and isoelectronic binary counterpart of yellow arsenic, yet without being studied with the same intensity so far. Upon introducing [(PPh3)AuMe] into the 1,2‐diaminoethane (en) solution of (Ge2As2)2?, the heterometallic cluster anion [Au6(Ge3As)(Ge2As2)3]3? is obtained as its salt [K(crypt‐222)]3[Au6(Ge3As)(Ge2As2)3]?en?2 tol ( 1 ). The anion represents a rare example of a superpolyhedral Zintl cluster, and it comprises the largest number of Au atoms relative to main group (semi)metal atoms in such clusters. The overall supertetrahedral structure is based on a (non‐bonding) octahedron of six Au atoms that is face‐capped by four (GexAs4?x)x? (x=2, 3) units. The Au atoms bind to four main group atoms in a rectangular manner, and this way hold the four units together to form this unprecedented architecture. The presence of one (Ge3As)3? unit besides three (Ge2As2)2? units as a consequence of an exchange reaction in solution was verified by detailed quantum chemical (DFT) calculations, which ruled out all other compositions besides [Au6(Ge3As)(Ge2As2)3]3?. Reactions of the heavier homologues (Tt2Pn2)2? (Tt=Sn, Pb; Pn=Sb, Bi) did not yield clusters corresponding to that in 1 , but dimers of ternary nine‐vertex clusters, {[AuTt5Pn3]2}4? (in 2 – 4 ; Tt/Pn=Sn/Sb, Sn/Bi, Pb/Sb), since the underlying pseudo‐tetrahedral units comprising heavier atoms do not tend to undergo the said exchange reactions as readily as (Ge2As2)2?, according to the DFT calculations.  相似文献

The phenylimidorhenium(V) complexes [Re(NPh)X3(PPh3)2] (X = Cl, Br) react with the N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) 1,3‐diethyl‐4,5‐dimethylimidazole‐2‐ylidene (LEt) under formation of the stable rhenium(V) complex cations [Re(NPh)X(LEt)4]2+ (X = Cl, Br), which can be isolated as their chloride or [PF6]? salts. The compounds are remarkably stable against air, moisture and ligand exchange. The hydroxo species [Re(NPh)(OH)(LEt)4]2+ is formed when moist solvents are used during the synthesis. The rhenium atoms in all three complexes are coordinated in a distorted octahedral fashion with the four NHC ligands in equatorial planes of the molecules. The Re–C(carbene) bond lengths between 2.171(8) and 2.221(3) Å indicate mainly σ‐bonding between the NHC ligand and the electron deficient d2 metal atoms. Attempts to prepare analogous phenylimido complexes from [Re(NPh)Cl3(PPh3)2] and 1,3‐diisopropyl‐4,5‐dimethylimidazole‐2‐ylidene (Li?Pr) led to a cleavage of the rhenium‐nitrogen multiple bond and the formation of the dioxo complex [ReO2(Li?Pr)4]+.  相似文献

Pseudo-tetrahedral units of p-block atoms proved to be excellent building blocks for novel molecular architectures and for introducing new elemental combinations which are not otherwise accessible. In this work, we present a series of clusters obtained by reactions of binary Ge/As anions with [MPh2] (M=Zn, Cd, Hg; Ph=phenyl). The study is grounded on the fact that the binary reactant gained by extracting the solid ‘K2GeAs’ with ethane-1,2-diamine (en) co-exists as (Ge2As2)2− and (Ge3As)3− in solution. This allows for a larger variety of products by ‘selecting’ the most suitable species for the final ternary complex to crystallize. The reactions afforded the unprecedented first step of the corresponding interaction, thus attachment of (MPh)+ to a pseudo-tetrahedral unit in [PhZn(Ge3As)]2− ( 1 ) and [PhHg(Ge3As)]2− ( 2 ), and complex anions with two, three, or four units, [(Ge3As)Zn(Ge2As2)]3− ( 3 ), [Cd3(Ge3As)3]3− ( 4 ), and [Zn3(Ge3As)4]6− ( 5 ). Quantum chemistry confirmed the compositions and the positions of the Ge or As atoms, beside explaining structural peculiarities. The subtle impact of different [MR2] reactants was additionally studied by corresponding reactions using [ZnMes2] (Mes=mesityl), which showed success in selectively crystallizing [MesZn(Ge3As)]2− ( 6 ). Based on our findings, we derive a suggestion of the underlying reaction cascade.  相似文献

The syntheses of a zwitterionic base‐stabilized digermadistannacyclobutadiene and tetragermacyclobutadiene supported by amidinates and low‐valent germanium amidinate substituents are described. The reaction of the amidinate GeI dimer, [LGe:]2 ( 1 , L=PhC(NtBu)2), with two equivalents of the amidinate tin(II) chloride, [LSnCl] ( 2 ), and KC8 in tetrahydrofuran (THF) at room temperature afforded a mixture of the zwitterionic base‐stabilized digermadistannacyclobutadiene, [L2Ge2Sn2L′2] ( 3 ; L′=LGe:), and the bis(amidinate) tin(II) compound, [L2Sn:] ( 4 ). Compound 3 can also be prepared by the reaction of 1 with [LArSnCl] ( 5 , LAr=tBuC(NAr)2, Ar=2,6‐iPr2C6H3) in THF at room temperature. Moreover, the reaction of 1 with the “onio‐substituent transfer” reagent [4‐NMe2‐C5H4NSiMe3]OTf ( 8 ) in THF and 4‐(N,N‐dimethylamino)pyridine (DMAP) at room temperature afforded a mixture of the zwitterionic base‐stabilized tetragermacyclobutadiene, [L4Ge6] ( 9 ), the amidinium triflate, [PhC(NHtBu)2]OTf ( 10 ), and Me3SiSiMe3 ( 11 ). X‐ray structural data and theoretical studies show conclusively that compounds 3 and 9 have a planar and rhombic charge‐separated structure. They are also nonaromatic.  相似文献

The first 16 valence electron [bis(NHC)](silylene)Ni0 complex 1 , [(TMSL)ClSi:→Ni(NHC)2], bearing the acyclic amido‐chlorosilylene (TMSL)ClSi: (TMSL=N(SiMe3)Dipp; Dipp=2,6‐Pri2C6H4) and two NHC ligands (N‐heterocyclic carbene=:C[(Pri)NC(Me)]2) was synthesized in high yield and structurally characterized. Compound 1 is capable of facile dihydrogen activation under ambient conditions to give the corresponding HSi‐NiH complex 2 . Most notably, 1 reacts with catechol borane to afford the unprecedented hydroborylene‐coordinated (chloro)(silyl)nickel(II) complex 3 , {[cat(TMSL)Si](Cl)Ni←:BH(NHC)2}, via the cleavage of two B−O bonds and simultaneous formation of two Si−O bonds. The mechanism for the formation of 3 was rationalized by means of DFT calculations, which highlight the powerful synergistic effects of the Si:→Ni moiety in the breaking of incredibly strong B−O bonds.  相似文献

The versatile cycloaddition chemistry of the Si−Ni multiple bond in the acyclic (amido)(chloro)silylene→Ni0 complex 1 , [(TMSL)ClSi→Ni(NHC)2] (TMSL=N(SiMe3)Dipp; Dipp=2,6-iPr2C6H4; NHC=C[(iPr)NC(Me)]2), toward unsaturated organic substrates is reported, which is both reminiscent of and expanding on the reactivity patterns of classical Fischer and Schrock carbene–metal complexes. Thus, 1:1 reaction of 1 with aldehydes, imines, alkynes, and even alkenes proceed to yield [2+2] cycloaddition products, leading to a range of four-membered metallasilacycles. This cycloaddition is in fact reversible for ethylene, whereas addition of an excess of this olefin leads to quantitative sp2-CH bond activation, via a 1-nickela-4-silacyclohexane intermediate. These results have been supported by DFT calculations giving insights into key mechanistic aspects.  相似文献

The N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) adducts Zn(CpR)2(NHC)] (CpR=C5HMe4, C5H4SiMe3; NHC=ItBu, IDipp (Dipp=2,6‐diisopropylphenyl), IMes (Mes=mesityl), SIMes) were prepared and shown to be active catalysts for the hydrogenation of imines, whereas decamethylzincocene [ZnCp*2] is highly active for the hydrogenation of ketones in the presence of noncoordinating NHCs. The abnormal carbene complex [Zn(OCHPh2)2(aItBu)]2 was formed from spontaneous rearrangement of the ItBu ligand during incomplete hydrogenation of benzophenone. Two isolated ZnI adducts [Zn2Cp*2(NHC)] (NHC=ItBu, SIMes) are presented and characterized as weak adducts on the basis of 13C NMR spectroscopic and X‐ray diffraction experiments. A mechanistic proposal for the reduction of [ZnCp*2] with H2 to give [Zn2Cp*2] is discussed.  相似文献

The first zwitterionic borata‐bis(NHC)‐stabilized phosphaketenyl germyliumylidene [(L2(O=C=P)Ge:] 2 (L2=(p ‐tolyl)2B[1‐(1‐adamantyl)‐3‐yl‐2‐ylidene]2) has been synthesized by salt‐metathesis reaction of [L2(Cl)Ge:] 1 with sodium phosphaethynolate [(dioxane)n NaOCP]. Unexpectedly, its exposure to UV light affords, after reductive elimination of the entire PCO group, the unprecedented [L2Ge‐GeL2] complex 3 in 54 % yields bearing the Ge22+ ion with Ge in the oxidation state +1. In addition, the 1,3‐digermylium‐2,4‐diphosphacyclobutadiene [L2Ge(μ‐P)2GeL2] 4 and bis(germyliumylidenyl)‐substituted diphosphene [(L2Ge‐P=P‐GeL2)] 5 could also be obtained in moderate yields. The formation of 3 – 5 and their electronic structures have been elucidated with DFT calculations.  相似文献

The synthesis of a boryl-substituted germanium(II) cation, [Ge{B(NDippCH)2}(IPrMe)]+, (Dipp=2,6-diisopropylphenyl) featuring a supporting N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) donor, has been explored through chloride abstraction from the corresponding (boryl)(NHC)GeCl precursor. Crystallographic studies in the solid state and UV/Vis spectra in fluorobenzene solution show that this species dimerizes under such conditions to give [(IPrMe){(HCNDipp)2B}Ge=Ge{B(NDippCH)2}(IPrMe)]2+ (IPrMe = 1,3-diisopropyl-4,5-dimethylimidazolin-2-ylidene), which can be viewed as an imidazolium-functionalized digermene. The dimer is cleaved in the presence of donor solvents such as [D8]thf or [D5]pyridine, to give monomeric adducts of the type [Ge{B(NDippCH)2}(IPrMe)(L)]+. In the case of the thf adduct, the additional donor is shown to be sufficiently labile that it can act as a convenient in situ source of the monomeric complex [Ge{B(NDippCH)2}(IPrMe)]+ for oxidative bond-activation chemistry. Thus, [Ge{B(NDippCH)2}(IPrMe)(thf)]+ reacts with silanes and dihydrogen, leading to the formation of GeIV products, whereas the cleavage of the N−H bond in ammonia ultimately yields products containing C−H and B−N bonds. The facile reactivity observed in E−H bond activation is in line with the very small calculated HOMO–LUMO gap (132 kJ mol−1).  相似文献

The reaction of the NHC iPr2Im [NHC=N‐heterocyclic carbene, iPr2Im = 1, 3‐bis(isopropyl)imidazolin‐2‐ylidene] with freshly prepared NiBr2 in thf or dme results in the formation of the air stable nickel(II) complex trans‐[Ni(iPr2Im)2Br2] ( 2 ). Complex 2 was structurally characterized. Thermal analysis (DTA/TG) reveals a very high decomposition temperature of 298 °C. Reduction of 2 with sodium or C8K in the presence of the olefins COD (cyclooctadiene) or COE (cyclooctene) affords the highly reactive compounds [Ni2(iPr2Im)4(COD)] ( 1 ) and [Ni(iPr2Im)2(COE)] ( 4 ). Alkylation of 2 with organolithiums leads to the formation of trans‐[Ni(iPr2Im)2(R)2] [R = Me ( 5 ), CH2SiMe3 ( 6 )], whereas the reaction of 2 with LiCp* [Cp* = (η5‐C5(CH3)5)] at 80 °C causes the loss of one NHC ligand and affords [(η5‐C5(CH3)5)Ni(iPr2Im)Br] ( 7 ).  相似文献

In a systematic study of the activation of As4, three [LCo(tol)] (L=β‐diiminato) complexes have revealed different steric and electronic influences. 2,6‐Diisopropylphenyl (Dipp) and 2,6‐dimethylphenyl (dmp) flanking groups were used, one of the ligands with H backbone substituents (β‐dialdiminate L0) and two with Me substituents (β‐diketiminates L3 and L1). In the reaction with As4, different dinuclear products [(LCo)2As4] (LM=L0 ( 1 ), L1 ( 2 ), L3 ( 3 )) were isolated, with all showing differently shaped [Co2As4] cores in the solid state: octahedral in 1 , prismatic in 2 , and asterane‐like in 3 . Thermal treatment of 3 leads to the abstraction of one arsenic atom to yield [(L3Co)2As3] ( 4 ). All products were comprehensively characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, FD‐MS, and 1H NMR spectroscopy. A rational explanation for the different reactivity is also proposed and DFT calculations shed light on the nature of the highly flexible [Co2As4] cores.  相似文献

Iridium(I) and Iridium(III) Complexes with Triisopropylarsane as Ligand The ethene complex trans‐[IrCl(C2H4)(AsiPr3)2] ( 2 ), which was prepared from [IrCl(C2H4)2]2 and AsiPr3, reacted with CO and Ph2CN2 by displacement of ethene to yield the substitution products trans‐[IrCl(L)(AsiPr3)2] ( 3 : L = CO; 4 : L = N2). UV irradiation of 2 in the presence of acetonitrile gave via intramolecular oxidative addition the hydrido(vinyl)iridium(III) compound [IrHCl(CH=CH2)(CH3CN)(AsiPr3)2] ( 5 ). The reaction of 2 with dihydrogen led under argon to the formation of the octahedral complex [IrH2Cl(C2H4)(AsiPr3)2] ( 7 ), whereas from 2 under 1 bar H2 the ethene‐free compound [IrH2Cl(AsiPr3)2] ( 6 ) was generated. Complex 6 reacted with ethene to afford 7 and with pyridine to give [IrH2Cl(py)(AsiPr3)2] ( 8 ). The mixed arsane(phosphane)iridium(I) compound [IrCl(C2H4)(PiPr3)(AsiPr3)] ( 11 ) was prepared either from the dinuclear complex [IrCl(C2H4)(PiPr3)]2 ( 9 ) and AsiPr3 or by ligand exchange from [IrCl(C2H4)(PiPr3)(SbiPr3)] ( 10 ) und triisopropylarsane. The molecular structure of 5 was determined by X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

We report on the synthesis of new derivatives of silylated clusters of the type [Ge9(SiR3)3]? (R = SiMe3, Me = CH3; R = Ph, Ph = C6H5) as well as on their reactivity towards copper and zinc compounds. The silylated cluster compounds were synthesized by heterogeneous reactions starting from the Zintl phase K4Ge9. Reaction of K[Ge9{Si(SiMe3)3}3] with ZnCl2 leads to the already known dimeric compound [Zn(Ge9{Si(SiMe3)3}3)2] ( 1 ), whereas upon the reaction with [ZnCp*2] the coordination of [ZnCp*]+ to the cluster takes place (Cp*=1,2,3,4,5‐pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) under the formation of [ZnCp*(Ge9{Si(SiMe3)3}3)] ( 2 ). A similar reaction leads to [CuPiPr3(Ge9{Si(SiMe3)3}3)] ( 3 ) from [CuPiPr3Cl] (iPr=isopropyl). Further we investigated the novel silylated cluster units [Ge9(SiPh3)3]? ( 4 ) and [Ge9(SiPh3)2]? ( 5 ), which could be identified by mass spectroscopy. Bis‐ and tris‐silylated species can be synthesized by the respective stoichiometric reactions, and the products were characterized by ESI‐MS and NMR experiments. These clusters show rather different reactivity. The reaction of the tris‐silylated anion 4 with [CuPiPr3Cl] leads to [(CuPiPr3)3Ge9(SiPh3)2]+ as shown from NMR experiments and to [(CuPiPr3)4{Ge9(SiPh3)2}2] ( 6 ), which was characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Compound 6 shows a new type of coordination of the Cu atoms to the silylated Zintl clusters.  相似文献

The reactivity of two paramagnetic nickel(I) compounds, CpNi(NHC) (where Cp=cyclopentadienyl; NHC=1,3‐bis(2,4,6‐trimethylphenyl)imidazol‐2‐ylidene (IMes) or 1,3‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazol‐2‐ylidene (IPr)), towards [Na(dioxane)x][PnCO] (Pn=P, As) is described. These reactions afford symmetric bimetallic compounds (μ222‐Pn2){Ni(NHC)(CO)}2. Several novel intermediates en route to such species are identified and characterised, including a compound containing the PCO? anion in an unprecedented μ222‐binding mode. Ultimately, on treatment of the (μ222‐Pn2){Ni(IMes)(CO)}2 compounds with carbon monoxide, the Pn2 units can be released, affording P4 in the case of the phosphorus‐containing species, and elemental arsenic in the case of (μ222‐As2){Ni(IMes)(CO)}2.  相似文献

The reaction of zerovalent nickel compounds with white phosphorus (P4) is a barely explored route to binary nickel phosphide clusters. Here, we show that coordinatively and electronically unsaturated N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) nickel(0) complexes afford unusual cluster compounds with P1, P3, P5 and P8 units. Using [Ni(IMes)2] [IMes=1,3‐bis(2,4,6‐trimethylphenyl)imidazolin‐2‐ylidene], electron‐deficient Ni3P4 and Ni3P6 clusters have been isolated, which can be described as superhypercloso and hypercloso clusters according to the Wade–Mingos rules. Use of the bulkier NHC complexes [Ni(IPr)2] or [(IPr)Ni(η6‐toluene)] [IPr=1,3‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazolin‐2‐ylidene] affords a closo‐Ni3P8 cluster. Inverse‐sandwich complexes [(NHC)2Ni2P5] (NHC=IMes, IPr) with an aromatic cyclo‐P5? ligand were identified as additional products.  相似文献
