We continue the study of homomorphisms between power-set Q-algebras. First, by means of decomposed ul-Q-relations between ordered semigroups we give a general characterization for the homomorphisms between power-set Q-algebras. Also, we consider a new category OSGRP whose objects are ordered semigroups and whose morphisms are decomposed ul-Q-relations, and discuss the relationship between the category OSGRP and the category Q-Alg of Q-algebras.  相似文献

The category of γ -Frm of γ-frames, which is isomorphic to the category GΓ-Alg of \(\mathbb D\)-algebras satisfying certain identities, and the category γ -Top of γ-topological spaces provide the background for the category γ -Mbl of γ-measurable spaces. As left adjoint to the dual algebra functor, Sweedler’s finite dual construction is an important tool in the theory of Hopf algebras over a field. We show in this note that the left adjoint to the dual algebra functor, which exists over arbitrary rings, shares a number of properties with the finite dual. Nonetheless the requirement that it should map Hopf algebras to Hopf algebras needs the extra assumption that this left adjoint should map an algebra into its linear dual. We identify a condition guaranteeing that Sweedler’s construction works when generalized to noetherian commutative rings. We establish the following two apparently previously unnoticed dual adjunctions: For every commutative ring R the left adjoint of the dual algebra functor on the category of R-bialgebras has a right adjoint. This dual adjunction can be restricted to a dual adjunction on the category of Hopf R-algebras, provided that R is noetherian and absolutely flat.  相似文献

We consider a covariant functor from the category of an arbitrary partially ordered set into the category of C*-algebras and their *-homomorphisms. In this case one has inductive systems of algebras over maximal directed subsets. The article deals with properties of inductive limits for those systems. In particular, for a functor whose values are Toeplitz algebras, we show that each such an inductive limit is isomorphic to a reduced semigroup C*-algebra defined by a semigroup of rationals. We endow an index set for a family of maximal directed subsets with a topology and study its properties. We establish a connection between this topology and properties of inductive limits.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to questions on lifting of the functor M τ : Tych → Tych to the categories of metric and uniform spaces. Similar problems were solved for the functor U τ of the unit ball of τ-additive measures. The main difference between the functor M τ and the functor U τ is that the space M τ (X) is compact only for X = Ø. A more delicate distinction is expressed by Theorem 2 which implies that the functor M τ does not always preserve the uniform continuity of mappings of metric spaces (even in the case of compacta). Nevertheless, the problem of lifting the functor M τ to the category Unif turns to be solvable.  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to prove that the category of cocommutative Hopf K-algebras, over a field K of characteristic zero, is a semi-abelian category. Moreover, we show that this category is action representable, and that it contains a torsion theory whose torsion-free and torsion parts are given by the category of groups and by the category of Lie K-algebras, respectively.  相似文献

We define the right regular dual of an object X in a monoidal category C; and give several results regarding the weak rigid monoidal category. Based on the definition of the right regular dual, we construct a weak Hopf algebra structure of H = End(F) whenever (F; J) is a fiber functor from category C to Vec and every XC has a right regular dual. To conclude, we give a weak reconstruction theorem for a kind of weak Hopf algebra.  相似文献

For an effect algebra A, we examine the category of all morphisms from finite Boolean algebras into A. This category can be described as a category of elements of a presheaf R(A) on the category of finite Boolean algebras. We prove that some properties (being an orthoalgebra, the Riesz decomposition property, being a Boolean algebra) of an effect algebra A can be characterized in terms of some properties of the category of elements of the presheaf R(A). We prove that the tensor product of effect algebras arises as a left Kan extension of the free product of finite Boolean algebras along the inclusion functor. The tensor product of effect algebras can be expressed by means of the Day convolution of presheaves on finite Boolean algebras.  相似文献

Generalizing an idea used by Bouc, Thévenaz, Webb and others, we introduce the notion of an admissible R-linear category for a commutative unital ring R. Given an R-linear category \(\mathcal {L}\), we define an \(\mathcal {L}\)-functor to be a functor from \(\mathcal {L}\) to the category of R-modules. In the case where \(\mathcal {L}\) is admissible, we establish a bijective correspondence between the isomorphism classes of simple functors and the equivalence classes of pairs (G, V) where G is an object and V is a module of a certain quotient of the endomorphism algebra of G. Here, two pairs (F, U) and (G, V) are equivalent provided there exists an isomorphism FG effecting transport to U from V. We apply this to the category of finite abelian p-groups and to a class of subcategories of the biset category.  相似文献

Two natural symplectic constructions, the Lagrangian suspension and Seidel’s quantum representation of the fundamental group of the group of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms, Ham(M), with (M, ω) a monotone symplectic manifold, admit categorifications as actions of the fundamental groupoid Π(Ham(M)) on a cobordism category recently introduced in [BC14] and, respectively, on a monotone variant of the derived Fukaya category. We show that the functor constructed in [BC14] that maps the cobordism category to the derived Fukaya category is equivariant with respect to these actions.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct a version of Auslander–Reiten sequences for the K(n)-local stable homotopy category. In particular, the role of the Auslander–Reiten translation is played by the local Brown–Comenetz duality functor. As an application, we produce counterexamples to the K(n)-local generating hypothesis for all heights n > 0 and all primes. Furthermore, our methods apply to other triangulated categories, as for example the derived category of quasi-coherent sheaves on a smooth projective scheme.  相似文献

Let A be a monomial quasi-hereditary algebra with a pure strong exact Borel subalgebra B.It is proved that the category of induced good modules over B is contained in the category of good modules over A;that the characteristic module of A is an induced module of that of B via the exact functor-(?)_B A if and only if the induced A-module of an injective B-module remains injective as a B-module.Moreover,it is shown that an exact Borel subalgebra of a basic quasi-hereditary serial algebra is right serial and that the characteristic module of a basic quasi-hereditary serial algebra is exactly the induced module of that of its exact Borel subalgebra.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative artinian ring. We extend higher Auslander correspondence from Artin R-algebras of finite representation type to dualizing R-varieties. More precisely, for a positive integer d, we show that a dualizing R-variety is d-abelian if and only if it is a d-Auslander dualizing R-variety if and only if it is equivalent to a d-cluster-tilting subcategory of the category of finitely presented modules over a dualizing R-variety.  相似文献

The initial algebra for a set functor can be constructed iteratively via a well-known transfinite chain, which converges after a regular infinite cardinal number of steps or at most three steps. We extend this result to the analogous construction of relatively initial algebras. For the dual construction of the terminal coalgebra Worrell proved that if a set functor is α-accessible, then convergence takes at most α + α steps. But until now an example demonstrating that fewer steps may be insufficient was missing. We prove that the functor of all α-small filters is such an example. We further prove that for βα the functor of all α-small β-generated filters requires precisely α + β steps and that a certain modified power-set functor requires precisely α steps. We also present an example showing that whether a terminal coalgebra exists at all does not depend solely on the object mapping of the given set functor. (This contrasts with the fact that existence of an initial algebra is equivalent to existence of a mere fixed point.)  相似文献

This paper is a contribution to the development of the theory of representations of inverse semigroups in toposes. It continues the work initiated by Funk and Hofstra (Theory Appl Categ 24(7):117–147, 2010). For the topos of sets, we show that torsion-free functors on Loganathan’s category L(S) of an inverse semigroup S are equivalent to a special class of non-strict representations of S, which we call connected. We show that the latter representations form a proper coreflective subcategory of the category of all non-strict representations of S. We describe the correspondence between directed and pullback preserving functors on L(S) and transitive and effective representations of S, as well as between filtered such functors and universal representations introduced by Lawson, Margolis and Steinberg. We propose a definition of a universal representation, or, equivalently, an S-torsor, of an inverse semigroup S in the topos of sheaves \({\mathsf {Sh}}(X)\) on a topological space X. We prove that the category of filtered functors from L(S) to the topos \({\mathsf {Sh}}(X)\) is equivalent to the category of universal representations of S in \({\mathsf {Sh}}(X)\). We finally propose a definition of an inverse semigroup action in an arbitrary Grothendieck topos, which arises from a functor on L(S).  相似文献

Suppose that a locally compact group G acts freely and properly on the right of a locally compact space T. Rieffel proved that if α is an action of G on a C *-algebra A and there is an equivariant embedding of C 0(T) in M(A), then the action α of G on A is proper, and the crossed product \(A\rtimes_{\alpha,r}G\) is Morita equivalent to a generalised fixed-point algebra \({\operatorname{\mathtt{Fix}}}(A,\alpha)\) in M(A) α . We show that the assignment \((A,\alpha)\mapsto{\operatorname{\mathtt{Fix}}}(A,\alpha)\) extends to a functor \({\operatorname{\mathtt{Fix}}}\) on a category of C *-dynamical systems in which the isomorphisms are Morita equivalences, and that Rieffel’s Morita equivalence implements a natural isomorphism between a crossed-product functor and \({\operatorname{\mathtt{Fix}}}\). From this, we deduce naturality of Mansfield imprimitivity for crossed products by coactions, improving results of Echterhoff-Kaliszewski-Quigg-Raeburn and Kaliszewski-Quigg-Raeburn, and naturality of a Morita equivalence for graph algebras due to Kumjian and Pask.  相似文献

We study some categorical properties of the functor O β of weakly additive functionals acting in the category Tych of the Tychonoff spaces and their continuous mappings. We show that O β preserves the weight of infinite-dimensional Tychonoff spaces, the singleton, and the empty set, and that O β is monomorphic and continuous in the sense of T. Banakh, takes every perfect mapping to an epimorphism, and preserves intersections of functionally closed sets in a Tychonoff space.  相似文献

The unessentialness of an extension of the algebra Der K by means of a splittable semisimple Lie algebra is established. Let D K be the category of differential Lie algebras (DL-algebras) (g;K). In this paper for an extension L/K the functor η:D K → D L , defining the tensor product L ? K of vector spaces and the homomorphism of Lie algebras, is constructed. If the extension L/K is algebraic, then η is unique. The results will be required for strengthening the progress on Gelfand–Kirillov problem and weakened conjecture [1, 2].  相似文献

Functional topology is concerned with developing topological concepts in a category endowed with certain axiomatically defined classes of morphisms (Clementino et al. 2004). In this paper, we extend functional topology to a monoidal framework, replacing categorical pullbacks by pullbacks relative to the monoidal structure (which itself replaces the product) or more generally relative to a relation on the category (Janelidze, Appl. Categ. Structures, 17(4),351–371, 2009). Our main application is to the opposite Woronowicz category of C ?-algebras. In this category a natural class of proper morphisms yields the unital algebras as compact objects. When restricted to the commutative C ?-algebras, we recover exactly the morphisms induced by proper continuous maps of locally compact Hausdorff spaces. We further endow this category with a factorization system and investigate the precise relation with the proper maps, building on an approach which we previously developed with the eye on the category of schemes (Lowen and Mestdagh, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 217(11), 2180–2197, 2013). We also show how our results for C ?-algebras can naturally be adapted to the opposite Woronowicz category of nondegenerate algebras over a commutative ring.  相似文献
