Let R be a commutative ring. The total graph of R, denoted by T(Γ(R)) is a graph with all elements of R as vertices, and two distinct vertices x,yR, are adjacent if and only if x+yZ(R), where Z(R) denotes the set of zero-divisors of R. Let regular graph of R, Reg(Γ(R)), be the induced subgraph of T(Γ(R)) on the regular elements of R. Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring and Z(R) is not an ideal. In this paper we show that if T(Γ(R)) is a connected graph, then . Also, we prove that if R is a finite ring, then T(Γ(R)) is a Hamiltonian graph. Finally, we show that if S is a commutative Noetherian ring and Reg(S) is finite, then S is finite.  相似文献

For a commutative ring R with set of zero-divisors Z(R), the zero-divisor graph of R is Γ(R)=Z(R)−{0}, with distinct vertices x and y adjacent if and only if xy=0. In this paper, we show that Γ(T(R)) and Γ(R) are isomorphic as graphs, where T(R) is the total quotient ring of R, and that Γ(R) is uniquely complemented if and only if either T(R) is von Neumann regular or Γ(R) is a star graph. We also investigate which cardinal numbers can arise as orders of equivalence classes (related to annihilator conditions) in a von Neumann regular ring.  相似文献

Strong commutativity preserving maps on Lie ideals   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Let A be a prime ring and let R be a noncentral Lie ideal of A. An additive map f:RA is called strong commutativity preserving (SCP) on R if [f(x),f(y)]=[x,y] for all x,yR. In this paper we show that if f is SCP on R, then there exist λC, λ2=1 and an additive map μ:RZ(A) such that f(x)=λx+μ(x) for all xR where C is the extended centroid of A, unless charA=2 and A satisfies the standard identity of degree 4.  相似文献

Let Γ denote a bipartite distance-regular graph with vertex set X and diameter D≥3. Fix xX and let L (resp., R) denote the corresponding lowering (resp., raising) matrix. We show that each Q-polynomial structure for Γ yields a certain linear dependency among RL 2, LRL, L 2 R, L. Define a partial order ≤ on X as follows. For y,zX let yz whenever ?(x,y)+?(y,z)=?(x,z), where ? denotes path-length distance. We determine whether the above linear dependency gives this poset a uniform or strongly uniform structure. We show that except for one special case a uniform structure is attained, and except for three special cases a strongly uniform structure is attained.  相似文献

I. N. Herstein [10] proved that a prime ring of characteristic not two with a nonzero derivation d satisfying d(x)d(y) = d(y)d(x) for all x, y must be commutative, and H. E. Bell and M. N. Daif [8] showed that a prime ring of arbitrary characteristic with nonzero derivation d satisfying d(xy) = d(yx) for all x, y in some nonzero ideal must also be commutative. For semiprime rings, we show that an inner derivation satisfying the condition of Bell and Daif on a nonzero ideal must be zero on that ideal, and for rings with identity, we generalize all three results to conditions on derivations of powers and powers of derivations. For example, let R be a prime ring with identity and nonzero derivation d, and let m and n be positive integers such that, when charR is finite, mn < charR. If d(x m y n ) = d(y n x m ) for all x, yR, then R is commutative. If, in addition, charR≠ 2 and the identity is in the image of an ideal I under d, then d(x) m d(y) n = d(y) n d(x) m for all x, yI also implies that R is commutative.  相似文献

Let D be a bounded open subset in Rd, d?2, and let G denote the Green function for D with respect to (-Δ)α/2, 0<α?2, α<d. If α<2, assume that D satisfies the interior corkscrew condition; if α=2, i.e., if G is the classical Green function on D, assume—more restrictively—that D is a uniform domain. Let g=G(·,y0)∧1 for some y0D. Based on the uniform boundary Harnack principle, it is shown that G has the generalized triangle property which states that when d(z,x)?d(z,y). An intermediate step is the approximation G(x,y)≈|x-y|α-dg(x)g(y)/g(A)2, where A is an arbitrary point in a certain set B(x,y).This is discussed in a general setting where D is a dense open subset of a compact metric space satisfying the interior corkscrew condition and G is a quasi-symmetric positive numerical function on D×D which has locally polynomial decay and satisfies Harnack's inequality. Under these assumptions, the uniform boundary Harnack principle, the approximation for G, and the generalized triangle property turn out to be equivalent.  相似文献

For a commutative ring R with zero-divisors Z(R), the zero-divisor graph of R is Γ(R)=Z(R)−{0}, with distinct vertices x and y adjacent if and only if xy=0. In this paper, we characterize when either or . We then use these results to investigate the diameter and girth for the zero-divisor graphs of polynomial rings, power series rings, and idealizations.  相似文献

Given three Banach spaces X, Y and Z and a bounded bilinear map , a sequence x=n(xn)⊆X is called B-absolutely summable if is finite for any yY. Connections of this space with are presented. A sequence x=n(xn)⊆X is called B-unconditionally summable if is finite for any yY and zZ and for any MN there exists xMX for which nMB(xn,y),z〉=〈B(xM,y),z〉 for all yY and zZ. A bilinear version of Orlicz-Pettis theorem is given in this setting and some applications are presented.  相似文献

The finite generators of Abelian integral are obtained, where Γh is a family of closed ovals defined by H(x,y)=x2+y2+ax4+bx2y2+cy4=h, hΣ, ac(4acb2)≠0, Σ=(0,h1) is the open interval on which Γh is defined, f(x,y), g(x,y) are real polynomials in x and y with degree 2n+1 (n?2). And an upper bound of the number of zeros of Abelian integral I(h) is given by its algebraic structure for a special case a>0, b=0, c=1.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of multiobjective control problems is considered, where the objective and constraint functions involved are f(tx(t), ?(t), y(t), z(t)) with x(t) ∈ Rn, y(t) ∈ Rn, and z(t) ∈ Rm, where x(t) and z(t) are the control variables and y(t) is the state variable. Under the assumption of invexity and its generalization, duality theorems are proved through a parametric approach to related properly efficient solutions of the primal and dual problems.  相似文献

Recently, Chaudhry and Zubair have introduced a generalized incomplete gamma function Γ(v,x;z) which reduces to the incomplete gamma function Γ(v,x) when its variable z vanishes. We show that Γ(v,x;z) may be written essentially as a single Kampé de Fériet function which in turn may be expressed as a linear combination of two incomplete Weber integrals. Then by using properties of the latter integrals we deduce additional representations for Γ(v,x;z). In particular, we show that Γ(v,x;z) is essentially completely determined by a finite number of modified Bessel functions for all v ≠ 0 provided we know the values of the two incomplete Weber integrals when 0 < Re v ⩽ 1. When v = 0 we derive connections between the generalized incomplete gamma function and incomplete Lipschitz-Hankel integrals, and indicate that there exist connections with other special functions.  相似文献

We study algebra classes and divisor classes on a normal affine surface of the form z 2 = f(x, y). The affine coordinate ring is T = k[x, y, z]/(z 2 ? f), and if R = k[x, y][f ?1] and S = R[z]/(z 2 ? f), then S is a quadratic Galois extension of R. If the Galois group is G, we show that the natural map H1(G, Cl(T)) → H1(G, Pic(S)) factors through the relative Brauer group B(S/R) and that all of the maps are onto. Sufficient conditions are given for H1(G, Cl(T)) to be isomorphic to B(S/R). The groups and maps are computed for several examples.  相似文献

A ring R is called almost-quasi-commutative if for each x, yR there exist nonzero relatively prime integers j = j(x, y) and k = k(x, y) and a non-negative integer n = n(x, y) such that jxy = k(yx) n . We establish some general properties of such rings, study commutativity of almost-quasi-commutative R, and consider several examples.  相似文献

For a prescribed real number s ∈ [1, 2), we give some sufficient conditions on the coefficients p(x) and q(x) such that every solution y = y(x), y ∈ C2((0, T]) of the linear differential equation (p(x)y′)′ + q(x)y = 0 on (0, T], is bounded and fractal oscillatory near x = 0 with the fractal dimension equal to s. This means that y oscillates near x = 0 and the fractal (box-counting) dimension of the graph Γ(y) of y is equal to s as well as the s dimensional upper Minkowski content (generalized length) of Γ(y) is finite and strictly positive. It verifies that y admits similar kind of the fractal geometric asymptotic behaviour near x = 0 like the chirp function ych(x) = a(x)S(φ(x)), which often occurs in the time-frequency analysis and its various applications. Furthermore, this kind of oscillations is established for the Bessel, chirp and other types of damped linear differential equations given in the form y″ + (μ/x)y′ + g(x)y = 0, x ∈ (0, T]. In order to prove the main results, we state a new criterion for fractal oscillations near x = 0 of real continuous functions which essentially improves related one presented in [1].  相似文献

In this paper we confirm a conjecture of Sun which states that each positive integer is a sum of a square, an odd square and a triangular number. Given any positive integer m, we show that p=2m+1 is a prime congruent to 3 modulo 4 if and only if Tm=m(m+1)/2 cannot be expressed as a sum of two odd squares and a triangular number, i.e., p2=x2+8(y2+z2) for no odd integers x,y,z. We also show that a positive integer cannot be written as a sum of an odd square and two triangular numbers if and only if it is of the form 2Tm(m>0) with 2m+1 having no prime divisor congruent to 3 modulo 4.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring. The annihilator graph of R, denoted by AG(R), is the undirected graph with all nonzero zero-divisors of R as vertex set, and two distinct vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if ann R (xy) ≠ ann R (x) ∪ ann R (y), where for zR, ann R (z) = {rR: rz = 0}. In this paper, we characterize all finite commutative rings R with planar or outerplanar or ring-graph annihilator graphs. We characterize all finite commutative rings R whose annihilator graphs have clique number 1, 2 or 3. Also, we investigate some properties of the annihilator graph under the extension of R to polynomial rings and rings of fractions. For instance, we show that the graphs AG(R) and AG(T(R)) are isomorphic, where T(R) is the total quotient ring of R. Moreover, we investigate some properties of the annihilator graph of the ring of integers modulo n, where n ? 1.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring with nonzero identity and Z(R) its set of zero-divisors. The zero-divisor graph of R is Γ(R), with vertices Z(R)?{0} and distinct vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if xy = 0. For a proper ideal I of R, the ideal-based zero-divisor graph of R is Γ I (R), with vertices {x ∈ R?I | xy ∈ I for some y ∈ R?I} and distinct vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if xy ∈ I. In this article, we study the relationship between the two graphs Γ(R) and Γ I (R). We also determine when Γ I (R) is either a complete graph or a complete bipartite graph and investigate when Γ I (R) ? Γ(S) for some commutative ring S.  相似文献
