Toeplitz operators related to strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators

In this paper, the boundedness of Toeplitz operator T _b(f) related to strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators and Lipschitz function b ε (ℝⁿ) is discussed from L ^p(ℝⁿ) to L ^q(ℝⁿ), , and from L ^p(ℝⁿ) to Triebel-Lizorkin space . We also obtain the boundedness of generalized Toeplitz operator Θ _α0 ^b from L ^p(ℝⁿ) to L ^q(ℝⁿ), . All the above results include the corresponding boundedness of commutators. Moreover, the boundedness of Toeplitz operator T _b(f) related to strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators and BMO function b is discussed on L ^p(ℝⁿ), 1 < p < ∞.

A family of transitive modular Lie superalgebras with depth one

The embedding theorem is established for Z-graded transitive modular Lie superalgebras g=(?)satisfying the conditions: (i)g0(?)(g-1)and g0-module g-1 is isomorphic to the natural(?)(g-1)-module; (ii)dim g1=2/3n(2n~2 1),where n=1/2dim g-1. Large deviations of the steady-state distribution of reflected processes with applications to queueing systems

We consider a Skorohod map which takes paths in to paths which stay in the positive orthant . We let be the domain of definition of . A convex and lower semi-continuous function and a set are given. We are concerned with the calculation of the infimum of the value for t ⩾ 0 and absolutely continuous subject to the conditions and . We show that such minimization problems characterize large deviation asymptotics of tail probabilities of the steady-state distribution of certain reflected processes. We approximate the infimum by a sequence of finite-dimensional minimization problems. This approximation allows to formulate an algorithm for the calculation of the infimum and to derive analytical bounds for its value. Several applications are discussed including large deviations of generalized processor sharing and large deviations of heavily loaded queueing networks. In this paper we investigate finite rank operators in the Jacobson radical of Alg( ), where are nests. Based on the concrete characterizations of rank one operators in Alg( ) and , we obtain that each finite rank operator in can be written as a finite sum of rank one operators in and the weak closure of equals Alg( ) if and only if at least one of is continuous.     

Sharp Conditions for the CLT of Linear Processes in a Hilbert Space

In this paper we study the behavior of sums of a linear process associated to a strictly stationary sequence with values in a real separable Hilbert space and are linear operators from H to H. One of the results is that satisfies the CLT provided are i.i.d. centered having finite second moments and . We shall provide an example which shows that the condition on the operators is essentially sharp. Extensions of this result are given for sequences of weak dependent random variables under minimal conditions.     

An asymptotic analysis method for the linearly shell theory

In this paper, we consider a linearly elastic shell, i.e. a three-dimensional linearly elastic body with a small thickness denoted by 2ε, which is clamped along its part of the lateral boundary and subjected to the regular loads. In the linear case, one can use the two-dimensional models of Ciarlet or Koiter to calculate the displacement for the shell. Some error estimates between the approximate solution of these models and the three-dimensional displacement vector field of a flexural or membrane shell have been obtained. Here we give a new model for a linear and nonlinear shell, prove that there exists a unique solution U of the two-dimensional variational problem and construct a three-dimensional approximate solutions UKT(x,ξ) in terms of U: We also provide the error estimates between our model and the three-dimensional displacement vector field :‖u-UKT‖1,Ω≤C∈r,r=3/2, an elliptic membrane, r = 1/2, a general membrane, where C is a constant dependent only upon the data‖u‖3,Ω,‖UKT‖3,Ω,θ.

Asymptotic properties of the maximum likelihood estimate in the first order autoregressive process

Summary In this paper we obtain an asymptotic expansion of the distribution of the maximum likelihood estimate (MLE) based onT observations from the first order Gaussian process up to the term of orderT ⁻¹. The expansion is used to compare with a generalized estimate including the least square estimate (LSE) , based on the asymptotic probabilities around the true value of the estimates up to the terms of orderT ⁻¹. It is shown that (or the modified MLE ) is better than (or the modified estimate ). Further, we note that does not attain the bound for third order asymptotic median unbiased estimates.
