Based on the classical laminated plate theory and the cohesive zone model, a theoretical model for general delamination cracked laminates was established for crack propagation of pure mode Ⅱ ENF specimens. Compared with the conventional beam theory, the proposed model fully considered the softening process of the cohesive zone and introduced the nonlinear behavior of ENF specimens before failure. The predicted failure load is smaller than that under the beam theory and closer to the experimental data in literatures. Compared with the beam theory with only fracture toughness considered, the proposed model can simultaneously analyze the influences of the interface strength, the fracture toughness and the initial interface stiffness on the load-displacement curves in ENF tests. The results show that, the interface strength mainly affects the mechanical behavior of specimens before failure, but has no influence on crack propagation. The fracture toughness is the main parameter affecting crack propagation, and the initial interface stiffness only affects the linear elastic loading stage. The cohesive zone length increases with the fracture toughness and decreases with the interface strength. The effect of the interface strength on the cohesive zone length is more obvious than that of the fracture toughness. When the adhesive zone tip reaches the half length of the specimen, the adhesive zone length will decrease to a certain extent. Copyright ©2022 Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. In this paper, a new iteration algorithm to solve the coefficient inverse problem is described by using a "basic function" which is specially defined and the idea of regularization. The method is simple and clear.The main advantage of the algorithm is that its computing cost is less than other current algorithms, such as PST and Purlerbalion Methods. Since it has uniform scheme, on the other hand, the method can be easily exleded to other kinds of inverse problems of different leal equations, multidimensional inverse problem and multiparameler inverse problems, etc.  相似文献

The present paper studies time-consistent solutions to an investment-reinsurance problem under a mean-variance framework.The paper is distinguished from other literature by taking into account the interests of both an insurer and a reinsurer jointly.The claim process of the insurer is governed by a Brownian motion with a drift.A proportional reinsurance treaty is considered and the premium is calculated according to the expected value principle.Both the insurer and the reinsurer are assumed to invest in a risky asset,which is distinct for each other and driven by a constant elasticity of variance model.The optimal decision is formulated on a weighted sum of the insurer’s and the reinsurer’s surplus processes.Upon a verification theorem,which is established with a formal proof for a more general problem,explicit solutions are obtained for the proposed investment-reinsurance model.Moreover,numerous mathematical analysis and numerical examples are provided to demonstrate those derived results as well as the economic implications behind.  相似文献

The transient behavior of a semiconductor device is described by a system of three quasilinear partial differential equations. One is elliptic in form for the electric potential and the other two are parabolic in form for the conservation of electron and hole concentrations. The electric potential equation is discretized by a mixed finite element method. The electron and hole density equations are treated by a Galerkin method that applies a variant of the method of characteristics to the transport terms. The Brio system is a 2 × 2 fully nonlinear system of conservation laws which arises as a simplified model in the study of plasmas. The present paper offers explicit solutions to this system subjected to initial conditions containing Dirac masses. The concept of a solution emerges within the framework of a distributional product and represents a consistent extension of the concept of a classical solution. Among other features, the result shows that the space of measures is not sufficient to contain all solutions of this problem.  相似文献

This survey paper concerns some existence theorems of harmonic functions belonging to LP (M), M being a complete Riemannian manifold. It is well known that a function which is analytic and bounded on the whole complex plane must reduce to a constant.This classical result, known as Liouville's theorem, is also true on a higher-dimensional Euclidean spaces. The generalization of this theorem to other Riemannian manifolds is very interesting. Besides its beauty, the proof usally requires sharp estimates which provide deeper understanding of the Laplacian and hence give broad applications to problems in global analysis.The basic problem in this paper is to study how the geometric conditions of a complete Riemannian manifold affect the validity of the Liouville theorem. The paper consists of two parts. Part I describes the results systematically and Part I will be more technical and will contain the detailed proofs of the results given in the first part.  相似文献

The varietal hypercube VQn is a variant of the hypercube Qn and has better properties than Qn with the same number of edges and vertices. This paper proves that VQn is vertex-transitive. The excessive and unsustainable exploitation of marine resources has to led to the promotion of marine reserve as a fisheries management tool. In this paper we study a prey–predator system in a two-patch environment: one accessible to both prey and predators (patch 1) and the other one being a refuge for the prey (patch 2). The prey refuge (patch 2) constitutes a reserve zone of prey and fishing is not permitted, while the unreserved zone area is an open-access fishery zone. The existence of possible steady states, along with their local and global stability, is discussed. We then examine the possibilities of the existence of bionomic equilibrium. An optimal harvesting policy is given using Pontryagin’s maximum principle.  相似文献

Considering that over exploitation would result in the extinction of the population, we propose and investigate a Holling II functional response prey-predator model with harvesting for fishery resource in a two-patch environment: a free fishing zone (patch 1) and a reserve zone (patch 2) where fishing is strictly prohibited. First, the presence of harvesting can impact the existence of equilibria. Further, stability criteria of the model is analyzed both from local and global point of view. Our results indicate that so long as the prey population in the reserved zone does not extinct, the both prey always exist, that is marine reserves should ensure the sustainability of system. Thus, marine reserves not only protect species inside the reserve area but they can also increase fish abundance in adjacent areas. Next, the existence of bionomic equilibrium and the optimal harvesting policy are discussed. The present value of revenues is maximized by using Pontryagin’s maximum principle. It is established that an infinite discount rate leads to complete dissipation of economic rent. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to illustrate our results.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the dynamical behaviour of a bioeconomic model system using differential algebraic equations. The system describes a prey–predator fishery with prey dispersal in a two-patch environment, one of which is a free fishing zone and other is a protected zone. It is observed that a singularity-induced bifurcation phenomenon appears when a variation of the economic interest of harvesting is taken into account. We have incorporated a state feedback controller to stabilize the model system in the case of positive economic interest. A discrete-type gestational delay of predators is incorporated, and its effect on the dynamical behaviour of the model is analyzed. The occurrence of Hopf bifurcation of the proposed model with positive economic profit is shown in the neighbourhood of the coexisting equilibrium point through considering the delay as a bifurcation parameter. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to verify the analytical results, and the system is analyzed through graphical illustrations.  相似文献

ABSTRACT. The Northeast Arctic cod inhabits the exclusive economic zones of Norway and Russia and migrates extensively between these zones. The stock is shared evenly between the two countries, with a small allocation to third countries. Higher temperatures in the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea are expected to affect the stock, probably increasing its size and leading to a larger share inhabiting the Russian economic zone. It is also conceivable that some spawning will begin to take place off the coast of Russia in addition to the spawning that now occurs exclusively in Norwegian waters. This paper looks at the implication of this for the division of the stock between the two countries. It is found that a greater presence of the stock in the Russian zone would strengthen rather than weaken the Norwegian bargaining position if the unit cost of fish is not sensitive to the size of the stock. If, on the other hand, the fishing costs are proportional to fishing mortality, Norway's position would be weakened almost on par with the fall in its share of the stock. The paper uses a Beverton‐Holt year class model with a Ricker recruitment function. The recruitment function is hump‐shaped, implying that a too large spawning stock is harmful for recruitment. Strong density‐dependence in the survival of eggs and larvae is a possible reason for this. It is shown that, for a stock being limited by carrying capacity at the pre‐recruit stage rather than the post‐recruit stage, one may expect a strongly asymmetric curve for sustainable yield as a function of total biomass. The biomass of an exploited population might possibly exceed the biomass of a pristine population under those circumstances.  相似文献

To protect fishery populations on the verge of extinction and sustain the biodiversity of the marine ecosystem, marine protected areas (MPA) are established to provide a refuge for fishery resource. However, the influence of current harvesting policies on the MPA is still unclear, and precise information of the biological parameters has yet to be conducted. In this paper, we consider a bioeconomic Gompertz population model with interval‐value biological parameters in a 2‐patch environment: a free fishing zone (open‐access) and a protected zone (MPA) where fishing is strictly prohibited. First, the existence of the equilibrium is proved, and by virtue of Bendixson‐dulac Theorem, the global stability of the nontrivial steady state is obtained. Then, the optimal harvesting policy is established by using Pontryagin's maximum principle. Finally, the results are illustrated with the help of some numerical examples. Our results show that the current harvesting policy is advantageous to the protection efficiency of an MPA on local fish populations.  相似文献

Examination of daily catch–per–unit–effort (CPUE) information on Pacific halibut revealed sharp declines that could not be explained by natural and fishing mortality. Catchability may have decreased during a fishing period because of local depletions of fish, changes in fish behavior, and other causes. Mathematical models of CPUE with a short–term catchability function of time or effort were based on a generalization of the DeLury method. A method of standardization was developed to account for the length of a fishing period and to correct for catchability. The effort model was best for Pacific halibut data and the application showed that standardization of CPUE is necessary to have a valid index of abundance when short–term changes in catchability occur.  相似文献

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to introduce the impact of fishing activity on a marine ecosystem. The fishing activity is considered not only through annual harvest but also through a second component, called the degree of protection of the fishery environment. This characterizes the environmental impact of fishing. A stochastic dynamic programming problem is presented in infinite horizon, where a sole owner seeks to maximize a discounted expected profit. The main hypothesis states that the stock–recruitment relationship is stochastic and that both components of the fishing activity have an impact on the probability law of the state of the fishery environment. The optimal fishing policy is obtained and compared with standard models. This optimal policy has the following properties: is not a constant escapement policy and indicates an element of self‐protection by the fishery manager. The paper ends with a discussion on the existence of degrees of protection of the fishery environment that take into account the environmental conservation and preservation of economic activity.  相似文献

ABSTRACT. Given a paucity of empirical data, policymakers are forced to rely on modeling to assess potential impacts of creating marine reserves to manage fisheries. Many modeling studies of reserves conclude that fishing yield will increase (or decrease only modestly) after creating a reserve in a heavily exploited fishery. However, much of the marine reserves modeling ignores the spatial heterogeneity of fishing behavior. Contrary to empirical findings in fisheries science and economics, most models assume explicitly or implicitly that fishing effort is distributed uniformly over space. This paper demonstrates that by ignoring this heterogeneity, yield‐per‐recruit models systematically overstate the yield gains (or understate the losses) from creating a reserve in a heavily exploited fishery. Conversely, at very low levels of exploitation, models that ignore heterogeneous fishing effort overstate the fishing yield losses from creating a reserve. Starting with a standard yield‐per‐recruit model, the paper derives a yield surface that maps spatially differentiated fishing effort into total long‐run fishing yield. It is the curvature of this surface that accounts for why the spatial distribution of fishing effort so greatly affects predicted changes from forming a reserve. The results apply generally to any model in which the long‐run fishing yield has similar curvature to a two‐patch Beverton‐Holt model. A simulation of marine reserve formation in the California red sea urchin fishery with Beverton‐Holt recruitment, eleven patches, and common larval pool dispersal dynamics reinforces these results.  相似文献
