The rigorous definition of quantum field operator is done in any theory where usual product between corresponding test functions is substituted by the star product. We show that a recently proposed graphical perturbative calculational scheme in quantum field theory is consistent with global supersymmetry invariance. We examine a two-dimensional supersymmetric quantum field theory in which we do not know of any other means for doing analytical calculations. We illustrate the power of this new technique by computing the ground-state energy density E to second order in this new perturbation theory. We show that there is a beautiful and delicate cancellation between infinite classes of graphs which leads to the result that E=0. 相似文献

Operator products in quantum field theory on two-dimensional Minkowski space are expanded into a series of local operators by means of the tensor product decomposition theorem for representations of the conformal group. The Thirring model is used as an explicit example. Two types of expansions result. If the operator product acts on the vacuum state, we obtain strictly covariant expansions. We prove that if a reference two-point distribution of positive type on a time orientable curved space-time (CST) satisfies a certain condition on its wave front set (the classP

In the proof we use a smoothing, positivity-preserving pseudo-differential operator the support of whose symbol is restricted to a certain conic region which depends on the wave front set of the reference state. This local-to-global theorem, together with results published elsewhere, leads to a verification of a conjecture by Kay that for quasi-free states of the Klein-Gordon quantum field on a globally hyperbolic CST, the local Hadamard condition implies the global Hadamard condition. Infinite dimensional analysis is developed on an abstract Boson-Fermion Fock space. A general class of Dirac operators acting there is introduced and properties of them are investigated. An index theorem for the Dirac operators is established in terms of a path integral on a loop space. A structural analysis is given of the optical theorem in theS-matrix approach to mutually interacting quantum fields in classical Robertson-Walker universes. As a case study, theφψ 2-interaction of conformally coupled massive (φ) and massless (φ) Klein-Gordon particles is studied. Based on the outgoing massless particles as indicator configuration, the physical interpretation is reduced to the corresponding added-up probabilities. The decoupling theorem of quantum field theory with massive particles is proved in Minkowski space when all the masses of the theory are led to go to infinity. The theorem establishes the vanishing property, in the distributional sense, of (absolutely convergent) Feynman amplitudes in a model independent way with subtractions performed at the origin. The properties of central charges in the framework of the massive supersymmetric quantum field theory related to internal symmetries, Lorentz covariance and locality of the fields are investigated. It is shown that in the presence of z central charges the largest semisimple part of the internal symmetry algebra is a direct sum of z compact symplectic group algebras and possibly an additional term representing the unimodular unitary group algebra. Next it is shown that 4j ? N + K, where j is the highest spin value of the underlying fields, N is the number of spinorial charges and K the number of these spinorial charges which are not linked to other spinorial charges by a central charge. It is further demonstrated that, in general, the central charge can not be redefined in such a way that it is at the same time real and preserves the locality principle. We discuss some consequences of applying a procedure developed in a previous paper, to implement the conformal and general invariance of the functional integral. It is shown that spontaneous breaking of those symmetries is unavoidable; we consider in particular the linear σ-model, in the conformal limit, and the Einstein gravitation and derive some simple relations among the vacuum expectation value, a phenomenological cut-off and the Lagrangian constants. 相似文献

A quantum field theoretical treatment of three-dimensional cubic crystals at finite temperature is presented from the view-point of the spontaneous breakdown of the spatial translational invariance using thermo field theory. The effective interaction Hamiltonian is constructed by taking into account the dynamical map of the molecular density operator which is obtained from the Ward-Takahashi relations. The acoustic phonons are expected to be the excitation of particle-hole pairs. The conventional secular equation for the lattice vibrations is obtained by neglecting some quantum effects in the Bethe-Salpeter equation for the molecular density fluctuations. The phonon spectra, the phonon propagators and the dynamical map of the molecular density operator are calculated at finite temperature. 相似文献

We propose a resummation scheme for strong-coupling diagrams in two-dimensional lattice supersymmetric theories originally derived by Bender et al. To any given order, this reduces the number of diagrams drastically.
