We consider arithmetic varieties endowed with an action of the group scheme of n-th roots of unity and we define equivariant arithmetic K 0-theory for these varieties. We use the equivariant analytic torsion to define direct image maps in this context and we prove a Riemann-Roch theorem for the natural transformation of equivariant arithmetic K 0-theory induced by the restriction to the fixed point scheme; this theorem can be viewed as an analog, in the context of Arakelov geometry, of the regular case of the theorem proved by P. Baum, W. Fulton and G. Quart in [BaFQ]. We show that it implies an equivariant refinement of the arithmetic Riemann-Roch theorem, in a form conjectured by J.-M. Bismut (cf. [B2, Par. (l), p. 353] and also Ch. Soulé’s question in [SABK, 1.5, p. 162]). Oblatum 22-I-1999 & 20-II-2001?Published online: 4 May 2001  相似文献

Let X be a smooth n-dimensional projective variety defined over and let L be a line bundle on X. In this paper we shall construct a moduli space parametrizing -cohomology L-twisted Higgs pairs, i.e., pairs where E is a vector bundle on X and . If we take , the canonical line bundle on X, the variety is canonically identified with the cotangent bundle of the smooth locus of the moduli space of stable vector bundles on X and, as such, it has a canonical symplectic structure. We prove that, in the general case, in correspondence to the choice of a non-zero section , one can define, in a natural way, a Poisson structure on . We also analyze the relations between this Poisson structure on and the canonical symplectic structure of the cotangent bundle to the smooth locus of the moduli space of parabolic bundles over X, with parabolic structure over the divisor D defined by the section s. These results generalize to the higher dimensional case similar results proved in [Bo1] in the case of curves. Received November 4, 1997; in final form May 28, 1998  相似文献

Let X be a smooth complex projective algebraic variety of maximal Albanese dimension. We give a characterization of in terms of the set . An immediate consequence of this is that the Kodaira dimension is invariant under smooth deformations. We then study the pluricanonical maps . We prove that if X is of general type, is generically finite for and birational for . More generally, we show that for the image of is of dimension equal to and for , is the stable canonical map. For a projective variety X of codimension 2 in defined over the complex number field , it is traditionally said that X has no apparent -ple points if the -secant lines of X do not fill up the ambient projective space , equivalently, the locus of -ple points of a generic projection of X to ${\Bbb P}^{n+1}$ is empty. We show that a smooth threefold in has no apparent triple points if and only if it is contained in a quadric hypersurface. We also obtain an enumerative formula counting the quadrisecant lines of X passing through a general point of and give necessary cohomological conditions for smooth threefolds in without apparent quadruple points. This work is intended to generalize the work of F. Severi [fSe] and A. Aure [Au], where it was shown that a smooth surface in has no triple points if and only if it is either a quintic elliptic scroll or contained in a hyperquadric. Furthermore we give open questions along these lines. Received: 24 January 2000 / Published online: 18 June 2001  相似文献

In this paper we show that Hessian integrals , , can be estimated by those of higher order. The result extends a variant of the Poincaré inequality corresponding to the cases . The proof depends on solving a related non-linear parabolic initial boundary value problem. Received January 15, 1997 / Accepted March 1997  相似文献

In this paper two problems posed by Santaló are solved: we determine the planar convex sets which have maximum and minimum area or perimeter when the circumradius and the inradius are given, obtaining complete systems of inequalities for the cases (A, R, r) and (p, R, r). A projective variety is called developable if the image of its Gauss map has a smaller dimension than the variety itself. Developable varieties are always singular, and requiring that all singularities lie in a hyperplane puts a severe restriction on them. Here we refine a theorem of Wu and Zheng stating that such varieties are the union of cones if the dimension of the Gauss image is less than or equal to four. Afterwards we study their singular locus. Finally, we describe the geometry of such varieties whose Gauss image has dimension two. If is a a scheme of finite type over a local field F, and is a proper smooth family, then to each rational point one can assign an extension of the absolute Galois group of F by the geometric fundamental group G of the fibre . If F has uniformiser , and residue characteristic p, we show that the corresponding extension of the absolute Galois group of by the maximal prime to p quotient of G is locally constant in the -adic topology of . We give a similar result in the case of non-proper families, and families over -adic analytic spaces. Received August 14, 1998  相似文献

We say that n independent trajectories ξ1(t),…,ξ n (t) of a stochastic process ξ(t)on a metric space are asymptotically separated if, for some ɛ > 0, the distance between ξ i (t i ) and ξ j (t j ) is at least ɛ, for some indices i, j and for all large enough t 1,…,t n , with probability 1. We prove sufficient conitions for asymptotic separationin terms of the Green function and the transition function, for a wide class of Markov processes. In particular,if ξ is the diffusion on a Riemannian manifold generated by the Laplace operator Δ, and the heat kernel p(t, x, y) satisfies the inequality p(t, x, x) ≤ Ct −ν/2 then n trajectories of ξ are asymptotically separated provided . Moreover, if for some α∈(0, 2)then n trajectories of ξ(α) are asymptotically separated, where ξ(α) is the α-process generated by −(−Δ)α/2. To any graded Frobenius algebra A we associate a sequence of graded Frobenius algebras A [n] so that there is canonical isomorphism of rings (H *(X;ℚ)[2]) [n] H *(X [n] ;ℚ)[2n] for the Hilbert scheme X [n] of generalised n-tuples of any smooth projective surface X with numerically trivial canonical bundle. In this paper we prove that if S is a Poisson surface, i.e., a smooth algebraic surface with a Poisson structure, the Hilbert scheme of points of S has a natural Poisson structure, induced by the one of S. This generalizes previous results obtained by A. Beauville [B1] and S. Mukai [M2] in the symplectic case, i.e., when S is an abelian or K3 surface. Finally we apply our results to give some examples of integrable Hamiltonian systems naturally defined on these Hilbert schemes. In the simple case S=ℙ2 we obtain by this construction a large class of integrable systems, which includes the ones studied by P. Vanhaecke in [V1] and, more generally, in [V2].
