An attempt has been made in the present work to investigate the role of anion for the uptake of Am(III)/Eu(III)/U(VI) by extraction chromatography (EXC) resin incorporating tetra-n-octyl-3-oxapentanediamide, commonly referred to as tetra-octyl diglycolamide (TODGA). In contrast to the nitric acid, perchloric acid medium favors extraction of trivalent metal ions even at low acidity (pH 2) and is almost insensitive to the acidity up to 5 M. Exceptionally large distribution coefficients (105–106) in the wide range of perchlorate concentration (10?2–5 M) is quite unusual and is by far the largest reported in the literature for Am(III)/Eu(III). Thermodynamic data suggests the possibility of inner sphere/cation exchange mechanism involving TODGA aggregates at higher acidity but outer sphere/cation exchange mechanism at low acidity for Eu(III). There is a possibility of employing TODGA based EXC resin for the remediation of liquid waste (contaminated with long lived transuranics like 241/243Am and 245Cm) in the wide range of acidity.  相似文献

A process for actinide(III) and lanthanum(III) extraction separation from high-level liquid waste (HLLW) was proposed, with N,N,N',N'-tetraoctyl diglycolamide (TODGA) as the extractant, tri-n?butyl phosphate (TBP) as the phase modifier and 2,6-bis[1-(propan-1-ol)-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl]pyridine (PyTri-Diol or PTD) as hydrophilic stripping agent. This ‘hot test’ was successfully carried out, achieving 99.92% removal of americium-241 (241Am) with a separation factor SF(Eu/Am) of 3.8 × 103 in the actinide(III) product solution. The results show that bisamide podand extractants can effectively realize the extraction and separation of actinide(III) and lanthanum(III) from Chinese commercial HLLW and thus have a bright practical application potential for the treatment of commercial HLLW.  相似文献

In the present paper, N,N,N’,N’-tetraoctyl diglycolamide (TODGA) as the extractant and n-dodecane as the diluent, the extraction kinetics behavior of Am(III) in TODGA/n-dodecane–HNO3 system were studied, including stirring speed, the interfacial area, extractant concentration in n-dodecane, extracted ions concentration, acidity of aqueous phase and temperature. The results show that: the extraction process is controlled by diffusion mode under 130 rpm of stirring speed and by chemical reaction mode above 150 rpm. The extraction rate equation and the apparent extraction rate constant of Am(III) by TODGA/n-dodecane in 170 rpm and at 25 °C are followed as: $$ \begin{aligned} r_{0} = \left. {\frac{{{\text{d}}[{\text{M}}]_{{{\text{org}} .}} }}{{{\text{d}}{{t}}}}} \right|_{t = 0} & = k\,\frac{S}{V}\left[ {\text{Am}} \right]_{{{\text{aq}} . ,0}}^{0.94} \left[ {{\text{HNO}}_{3} } \right]_{{{\text{aq}} . ,0}}^{1.05} \left[ {\text{TODGA}} \right]_{{{\text{org}} . ,0}}^{1.19} \\ & \quad k = \left( {24.17 \pm 3.43} \right) \times 10^{ - 3} \,{\text{mol}}^{ - 2.18} \,L^{2.18} \,{ \hbox{min} }^{ - 1} \,{\text{cm}},\;E_{\text{a}} \left( {{\text{Am}}\left( {\text{III}} \right)} \right) = 25.94 \pm 0.98\;{\text{kJ/mol}} .\\ \end{aligned} $$   相似文献

Vanadium(II) ions form with the pyridine-2-carboxylate ligand a deep blue, tris-substituted complex absorbing at 660 nm (ε = 7.2 × 103 M?1) cm?1) with a shoulder at 450 nm. Reversible spectroelectrochemistry and cyclic voltammetry were observed for this complex, with E12 = ?0.448 V vs NHE, and ΔSrcθ = ?6 cal · mol?1 · deg?1. Electron transfer kinetics with [CO(en)3]3+ led to k12 = 3100 M?1 s?, ΔH = 12.4 kcal · mol?1 and ΔS = ?0.9 cal · mol?1 · deg?1 (I = 0.10 M). For the related [Co(NH3)6]3+ complex, k13 = 1.9 × 104 M?1 s?1. The self-exchange rate constant and activation parameters were analysed in terms of relative Marcus theory.  相似文献

The kinetics of the oxidation of ketorolac by hexacyanoferrate(III) (HCF) in aqueous alkaline medium at a constant ionic strength of 0.75 mol·dm?3 was studied spectrophotometrically at 300 K. A plausible mechanism was proposed and the rate law was derived. The mechanism of oxidation of ketorolac (KET) in alkaline medium has been shown to proceed via a KET-HCF complex, which decomposes in a slow step followed by other fast steps to give the products. The main oxidative product was identified as (2,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-1H-pyrrolizin-5-yl-)(phenyl)methanone and is characterized by its LC–ESI–MS spectrum. Thermodynamic parameters of various equilibria of the mechanism were calculated and activation parameters ΔH , ΔS , ΔG and log10 A were found to be 29.9 kJ·mol?1, ?220 J·K?1·mol?1, 96 kJ·mol?1 and 2.70 respectively.  相似文献

Batch experiments are carried out for the sorption of La(III) onto commercial macroporous resins containing iminodiacetic (Lewatit TP 207) and aminomethylphosphonic acid groups (Lewatit TP 260). The operating variables studied are initial La(III) concentration, pH, temperature and contact time. Since the extraction kinetics were fast, with a mixture of 0.1 g of resin and 5 mL of lanthanum ions 0.5 × 10?3 mol L?1 solution, extraction equilibrium was reached within 30 min of mixing. The optimum pH values level for quantitative sorption were between 1.5 and 4.6 with Lewatit 207 and about 5.2 with Lewatit TP 260. The sorption capacities of Lewatit TP 207 and Lewatit TP 260 resins are 114.7 and 106.7 mg g?1, respectively. Adsorption equilibrium data were calculated for Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. It was found that the sorption of La(III) on Lewatit TP 207 was better suited to the Langmuir adsorption model while Freundlich adsorption model fitted better sorption on Lewatit TP 260. Thermodynamics data leads to endothermic and spontaneous process. ΔG° decreases with increasing temperature indicating that sorption process of La(III) on both Lewatit TP 207 and Lewatit TP 260 was more favored at high temperature.  相似文献

Kinetics of the oxidation of arsenious acid by tetrahcloroaurate(III) have been studied spectrophotometrically in hydrochloric acid medium. Initial complex formation between As(III) and Au(III) followed by the decomposition of the intermediate complex to give products of the reaction is suggested. The empirical rate law is

Extraction of U(VI), Eu(III) and Am(III) has been performed from acidic aqueous solutions (HNO3, HClO4) into the ionic liquid [C4mim][Tf2N] in which a new extracting task-specific ionic liquid, based on the CMPO unit {namely 1-[3-[2-(octylphenylphosphoryl)acetamido]propyl]-3-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonamide, hereafter noted OctPh-CMPO-IL}, was dissolved at low concentration (0.01 mol·L?1). EXAFS and UV–Vis spectroscopy measurements were performed to characterize the extracted species. The extraction of U(VI) is more efficient than the extraction of trivalent Am and Eu using this TSIL, for both acids and their concentration range. We obtained evidence that the metal ions are extracted as a solvate (UO2(OctPh-CMPO-IL)3) by a cation exchange mechanism. Nitrate or perchlorate ions do not play a direct role in the extraction by being part of the extracted complexes, but the replacement of nitric acid for perchloric acid entails a drop in the selectivity between U and Eu. However, our TSIL allows a sequential separation of U(VI) and Eu/Am(III) using the same HNO3 concentration and same nature of the organic phase, just by changing the ligand concentration.  相似文献

Studies on the solvent extraction of Plutonium(Pu(IV)) from aqueous nitric acid by N,N,N′,N′-tetraoctyl-diglycolamide (TODGA) in 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium-bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide (C6mimTf2N) room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) were carried out. It was found that Pu(IV) is extracted into RTIL phase as [Pu(NO3)(TODGA)]3+ through cation exchange mechanism. Extraction reaction equation is obtained by the influence of acidity and extractant concentration, and the parameters of thermodynamic equilibrium constant was calculated.  相似文献

The imidazolium bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate moiety was chemically attached on silica gel by chemical modification. The resulting product ([SG-Im]+ [DEHP]?) was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry and elemental analysis. The sorption behavior of Am(III) and Eu(III) on [SG-Im]+ [DEHP]? was studied from dilute nitric acid medium for the separation of Am(III) and Eu(III) from aqueous waste. The effect of time, concentrations of nitric acid and europium in aqueous phase on the distribution coefficient (K d) was studied. The study indicated the possibility of using modified silica for the separation of Eu(III) from Am(III) with high separation factors (>50 at 0.1 M HNO3).  相似文献

Cadmium thiourea reinickate undergoes two-stage thermal decomposition on heating. The DTG peak temperatures are 291 and 469°C and the corresponding DTA temperatures are 255 and 490°C. The kinetic parameters for the first stage decomposition are E* ≈ 120kJ mole?1; Z ≈ 1.2 × 108 cm3 mole?1 sec?1 and ΔS* ≈ ?95 J mole?1 K?1. For the second stage, E* ≈ 133 kJ mole?1; Z ≈ 6.1 × 105 cm?1 mole?1 sec?1 and ΔS* ≈ ?142 J mole?1 K?1.  相似文献

Solvent extraction of Pu(IV) and Am(III) from aqueous nitric acid into room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) by an acidic extractant HDEHP (di-2-ethyl hexyl phosphoric acid) was carried out. The D values indicated substantial extraction for Pu(IV) and poor extraction for Am(III) at 1M aqueous nitric acid concentration. However at lower aqueous nitric acid concentrations (pH 3), the Am(III) extraction was found to be quantitative. The least squares analysis of the extraction data for both the actinides ascertained the stoichiometry of the extracted species in the RTIL phase for Pu(IV) and Am(III) as [PuH(DEHP)2]3+, AmH(DEHP)2+. From the D values at two temperatures, the thermodynamic parameters of the extraction reaction for Pu(IV) was calculated.  相似文献

The recovery of three rare earth (RE) metals ions [Yb(III), Dy(III) and Nd(III), belonging to heavy, mild and light REs, respectively] was investigated using hybrid chitosan-magnetic nano-based particles functionalized by diethylenetriamine (DETA). The effect of pH on sorption performance was analyzed: the optimum initial pH value was found close to 5 (equilibrium pH value close to 6.5). The nanometric size of sorbent particles (30–50 nm) minimized the contribution of resistance to intraparticle diffusion on the control of uptake kinetics, which is efficiently modeled using the pseudo-second order rate equation: under selected experimental conditions the contact time required for reaching equilibrium was less than 1 h. Sorption isotherms were efficiently modeled using the Langmuir equation: maximum sorption capacities reached about 50 mg metal g?1, regardless of the RE. The temperature had a very limited effect on sorption capacity (in the range 300–320 K). The thermodynamic parameters were determined: the sorption was endothermic (positive values of ΔH°), spontaneous (negative values of ΔG°) and contributed to increasing the disorder of the system (positive values of ΔS°). The three REs have similar sorption properties on DETA-functionalized chitosan magnetic nano-based particles: the selective separation of these elements seems to be difficult. The sorbed metal ions can be removed from loaded sorbents using thiourea, and the sorbent can be recycled for at least five sorption/desorption cycles with a limited loss in sorption performance (by less than 6 %). The saturation magnetization was close to 20 emu g?1; this means that nano-based superparamagnetic particles can be readily recovered by an external magnetic field, making the processing of these materials easy.  相似文献

Application of a room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C4mim+][PF6 ?]), in the extraction of Eu(III) and Th(IV) ions from nitrate media using tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) as extractant is investigated. The results are compared with those obtained in dichloromethane. It is shown that the europium ions are extracted via a solvation mechanism by formation of [Eu(TOPO) 3 3+ ](NO3 ?)3 species in both [C4mim+][PF6 ?] and dichloromethane. Nevertheless, application of the studied RTIL makes a significant improvement in the extraction efficiency of europium ions. A different attitude was observed for the extraction of thorium ions. In fact, although the analysis of the extraction data of these ions from sodium nitrate solutions confirms the formation of [Th(TOPO) 3 4+ ](NO3 ?)4 species in dichloromethane, the extraction of these ions into the ionic liquid was not affected by the presence of TOPO. This latter outcome states the process takes place by a cation-exchange mechanism. It is found that the extraction of thorium ions diminishes in the presence of nitric acid. Interestingly, in contrast to the results observed in the extraction of thorium ions from sodium nitrate solutions, TOPO shows a co-operative effect on the extraction of these ions from nitric acid media. This allows considering the mechanism of the extraction of Th4+ ions from nitric acid media as a mixed ion exchange-solvation mechanisms by formation of [Th(TOPO)4+](NO3 ?)(PF6 ?)3 species.  相似文献

The boiling point and volatility are important properties for fuels, as it is for quality control of the industry of petroleum diesel and biofuels. In addition, through the volatility is possible to predict properties, such as vapor pressure, density, latent heat, heat of vaporization, viscosity, and surface tension of biodiesel. From thermogravimetry analysis it is possible to find the kinetic parameters (activation energy, pre-exponential factor, and reaction order), of thermally simulated processes, like volatilization. With the kinetic parameters, it is possible to obtain the thermodynamic parameters by mathematical formula. For the kinetic parameters, the minor values of activation energy were found for mineral diesel (E = 49.38 kJ mol?1), followed by babassu biodiesel (E = 76.37 kJ mol?1), and palm biodiesel (E = 87.00 kJ mol?1). Between the two biofuels studied, the babassu biodiesel has the higher minor value of activation energy. The thermodynamics parameters of babassu biodiesel are, ΔS = ?129.12 J mol?1 K?1, ΔH = +80.38 kJ mol?1 and ΔG = +142.74 kJ mol?1. For palm biodiesel ΔS = ?119.26 J mol?1 K?1, ΔH = + 90.53 kJ mol?1 and ΔG = +141.21 kJ mol?1, and for diesel ΔS = ?131.3 J mol?1 K?1, ΔH = +53.29 kJ mol?1 and ΔG = +115.13 kJ mol?1. The kinetic thermal analysis shows that all E, ΔH, and ΔG values are positive and ΔS values are negative, consequently, all thermodynamic parameters indicate non-spontaneous processes of volatilization for all the fuels studied.  相似文献

The binary systems of iron(II) and iron(III) with 2-pyridineformamide thiosemicarbazone (H2Am4DH) and its N(4)-methyl (H2Am4Me), N(4)-ethyl (H2Am4Et) and N(4)-phenyl (H2Am4Ph) derivatives were studied in aqueous solution by pH-potentiometry, ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy and EPR spectra. The formation constants of the iron(II) and iron(III) complexes were calculated from potentiometric and electronic absorption data at 25 °C and ionic strength μ = 0.1 mol·L?1 using the HYPERQUAD program. The values of the formation constant of the FeL species decrease in the order Fe:H2Am4DH > Fe:H2Am4Me ≈ Fe:H2Am4Et > Fe:H2Am4Ph in the same way as the basicity of the ligands. The species distribution diagrams show that the species FeL2 predominates at physiological pH in the Fe:H2Am4DH, Fe:H2Am4Me and Fe:H2Am4Et systems. The similar EPR spectra of these iron(III) binary systems indicate the same coordination spheres around the metallic center and the EPR g values suggests that the unpaired electron is in the dxy orbital, indicating a d xz 2 d yz 2 d xy 1 ground state configuration for the complexes. For the Fe(III):H2Am4Ph system the EPR results indicated dimerization and antiferromagnetic interaction due to the presence of only one thiosemicarbazone ligand around the metallic center.  相似文献

Two DOTA-based proligands bearing a pendant diphenylphosphinamide 4a and 4b were synthesised. Their Eu(III) complexes exhibit sensitised emission when excited at 270 nm via the diphenylphosphinamide chromophore. Hydration states of q = 1.5 were determined from excited state lifetime measurements (Eu.4a $ k_{{{\text{H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 2. 1 4 \,{\text{ms}}^{ - 1} ,\;k_{{{\text{D}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 0. 6 4 \,{\text{ms}}^{ - 1} $ ; Eu.4b $ k_{{{\text{H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 2. 6 7\, {\text{ms}}^{ - 1} ,\;k_{{{\text{D}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 1. 1 8 \,{\text{ms}}^{ - 1} $ ). In the presence of human serum albumin (HSA) (0.1 mM Eu.4a/b, 0.67 mM HSA, pH 7.4) q = 0.4 for Eu.4a ( $ k_{{{\text{H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 1. 3 4\, {\text{ms}}^{ - 1} ,\;k_{{{\text{D}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 0. 7 5\, {\text{ms}}^{ - 1} $ ) and q = 0.6 for Eu.4b ( $ k_{{{\text{H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 1. 8 3\, {\text{ms}}^{ - 1} ,\;k_{{{\text{D}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}}} = 1.0 5 \,{\text{ms}}^{ - 1} $ ). Relaxivites (pH 7.4, 298 K, 20 MHz) of the Gd(III) complexes in the absence and presence of HSA (0.1 mM Gd.4a/b, 0.67 mM HSA) were: Gd.4a (r 1 = 7.6 mM?1s?1 and r 1 = 11.7 mM?1s?1) and Gd.4b. (r 1 = 7.3 mM?1s?1 and r 1 = 16.0 mM?1s?1). These relatively modest increases in r 1 are consistent with the change in inner-sphere hydration on binding to HSA shown by luminescence measurements on Eu.4a/b. Binding constants for HSA determined by the quenching of luminescence (Eu) and enhancement of relaxivity (Gd) were Eu.4a (27,000 M?1 ± 12%), Eu.4b (32,000 M?1 ± 14%), Gd.4a (21,000 M?1 ± 15%) and Gd.4b (26,000 M?1 ± 15%).  相似文献

The anilinepentacyanoferrate (II) complex has been characterized in aqueous solution. The complex exhibits a predominant ligand field transition at λmax = 415 nm with ?max = 494 M?1 cm?1. The corresponding Fe(III) complex displays a strong absorption at λmax = 700nm(?max = 1.61×104 M?1 sec?1) which can be assigned as a ligand to metal charge transfer transition. The rate constants of formation and dissociation for the Fc(II) complex are (3.14±0.18)×102 M?1W?1 and 0.985±0.005 sec?1, respectively, at μ = 0.10 M LiClO4, pH = 8 and T = 25°C. The cyclic voltammetry of the complex shows that a reversible redox process is observed with E1/2 value of 0.51±0.01 V vs. NHE at μ = 0.10 M LiClO4, pH = 8 and T = 25°C. The kinetic study of the oxidation of the Fe(II) complex by ferricyanide ion yielded the rate constant of the reaction ket = (1.43±0.04)x10 M sec?1 at μ = 0.10 M LiClO4, pH = 8 and T = 25°C.  相似文献

The kinetics and mechanism of the reaction of complexation of chromium(III) with 2-acetyl-cyclohexanone has been investigated spectrophotometrically in aqueous solution at 50°C and ionic strength 0.5 mol dm?3 NaClO4. The equilibrium constants of the complex have been determined. The mechanism proposed to account for the kinetic data involves a double reversible pathway where both Cr3+ and Cr(OH)2+ react with the enol tautomer of the ligand with rate constants of 9.6 × 10?3 dm3 mol?1 s?1, and 3.69 × 10?2 dm3 mol?1 s?1, respectively. Some discussions are made on the basis of Eigen-Wilkins theory considering the effect of solvent exchange on the complex formation.  相似文献
