We study the vector meson electro-production off the proton in a QCD inspired model. A calculation of the differential cross section is performed for the J/ψ, Ф meson off the proton. The theoretical results are consistent with the experimental data, and remind us to consider the contribution from the tensor glueball and Odderon to the differential cross section. Since gluons interact among themselves via self-interaction, the gluons can form a glueball with quantum numbers I^G, J^PC = 0^+, 2^++ with a decay width Гt = 100 MeV and mass of mG = 2.23 GeV. The three gluons can form a three gluon color bound state with charge conjugation quantum number C = -1. This study is quite important to verify the validity of QCD and to search for new particles (tensor glueball and Odderon) as well as quest for new physics.  相似文献

Based on the generalized vector meson dominance model in QCD, we study photoproduction of vector meson T off the proton by use of the QCD inspired model in which the contributions from quark-quark, gluon-gluon, and quark-gluon interference term to observable are taken into consideration. Calculations are performed for total cross section σtot, differential cross section dσ/dt, ratio of the real part to imaginary part of forward scattering amplitude ρ, and nuclear slop parameter function β. The mediators of interactions between projectiles (the quark and antiquark pair fluctuated from the real the photon) and the proton target (three-quark system) are the tensor Glueball and Odderon instead of using the usual Pomeron exchange. The theoretical predictions for σtot (s) are consistent with the experimental data within error bars of the data. The data for dσ/dt, ρ, and β are urgently needed.  相似文献

Based on the quark-gluon contents of nucleon and strongly believing that the force mediators, Pomeron and its counterpart in the conventional approach of Regge theory, for high energy diffractive process would be the tensor glueball and Odderon respectively, we discuss photo-production of vector meson Ф off the deuteron at energy less than 3 GeV in the QCD inspired model in which the quark gluon degrees of freedom and glueball, Odderon exchange are taken into account. A calculation is performed for γ + D →Ф + D, and the theoretical predictions of the differential cross section dσ^γD/dt, are presented and compared with available experimental data. Our QCD inspired model reproduces data quite well in the whole range of the experimental measurements up to |t| ≌ 0.4 GeV. Our results can be used to extract γn → Фn data, which cannot be measured in experiment.  相似文献

Analyticity of nucleon form factors allows to derive sum rules which, using space-like and time-like data as input, can give unique information about behaviors in energy regions not experimentally accessible. Taking advantage from new time-like data on proton-antiproton differential cross section and hence the possibility to separate electric and magnetic form factors also in the time-like region, we verify the consistency of the asymptotic behavior predicted by the perturbative QCD for the proton magnetic form factor.  相似文献

The Pomeron-nucleon coupling vertex is theoretically derived from the fundamental theory of strong interaction QCD. The empirical vertex βγ^μF1 (t) used commonly in diffractive processes with a coupling strength β = 6.0 GeV^-1 is initially obtained from QCD theoretically. Our study not only reproduces the Pomeron-nucleon coupling from QCD but also clearly shows the gluonlc origin and glueball nature of Pomeron, which is a longstanding puzzle. From this investigation, we claim that Pomeron can be regarded as a Reggeized tensor glueball ζ(2230) with quantum numbers of I^GJ^PC = 0+2++. Since the tensor glueball ζ(2230) lies on the Pomeron trajectory αp(t = Mζ^2) = 2, the longstanding puzzle that no physical particle lies on the Pomeron trajectory, αp(t) = 1.08 + 0.20 GeV^-2 .t, seems to be solved.  相似文献

The recent measurement of the differential γ + c-jet cross section, performed at the Tevatron collider in Run II by the D0 collaboration, is studied in a next-to-leading order(NLO) global QCD analysis to assess its impact on the proton parton distribution functions(PDFs). We show that these data lead to a significant change in the gluon and charm quark distributions. We demonstrate also that there is an inconsistency between the new high precision HERA I+II combined data and Tevatron measurement. Moreover, in this study we investigate the impact of older EMC measurements of charm structure function F_c~2 on the PDFs and compare the results with those from the analysis of Tevatron data. We show that both of them have the same impact on the PDFs, and thus can be recognized as the same evidence for the inefficiency of perturbative QCD in dealing with charm production in some kinematic regions.  相似文献

Inspired by the recent near-threshold J/ψ photoproduction measurements, we discuss gluon gravitational form factors(GFFs) and internal properties of the proton. This work presents a complete analysis of the proton gluon GFFs connecting the gluon part of the energy-momentum tensor and the heavy quarkonium photoproduction. In particular, a global fitting of the J/ψ differential and total cross section experimental data is used to determine the gluon GFFs as functions of the squared momentum transfe...  相似文献

Photoproduction of mesons off the deuteron has been investigated at a tagged photon beam of the Bonn ELSA accelerator with the combined Crystal Barrel - TAPS electromagnetic calorimeter for incident photon energies up to 2.5 GeV. The mesons have been detected in coincidence with recoil protons, neutrons and deuterons. This allow the measurement of meson production reactions off the quasifree nucleons bound in the deutron, as well as the coherent production off the deuteron. The comparison of quasifree proton reactions to free proton reactions can confirm or invalidate possible nuclear effects on the extracted cross section reactions. Furthermore the isospin composition of a resonance can be estimated from the comparison of quasifree proton and neutron reactions. The quasifree photoproduction of the η' and π°η mesons off nucleons and the coherent photoproduction of π°η--pairs off the deuteron are discussed.  相似文献

State-to-state time-dependent quantum dynamics calculations are carried out to study F(~2P) + HO(~2Π) → O(~3P) +HF(~1Σ~+) reaction on 1~3A〞 ground potential energy surface(PES). The vibrationally resolved reaction probabilities and the total integral cross section agree well with the previous results. Due to the heavy–light–heavy(HLH) system and the large exoergicity, the obvious vibrational inversion is found in a state-resolved integral cross section. The total differential cross section is found to be forward–backward scattering biased with strong oscillations at energy lower than a threshold of 0.10 eV, which is the indication of the indirect complex-forming mechanism. When the collision energy increases to greater than 0.10 eV, the angular distribution of the product becomes a strong forward scattering, and almost all the products are distributed at θ_t = 0°. This forward-peaked distribution can be attributed to the larger J partial waves and the property of the F atom itself, which make this reaction a direct abstraction process. The state-resolved differential cross sections are basically forward-backward symmetric for v' = 0, 1, and 2 at a collision energy of 0.07 eV; for a collision energy of 0.30 eV,it changes from backward/sideward scattering to forward peaked as v increasing from 0 to 3. These results indicate that the contribution of differential cross sections with more highly vibrational excited states to the total differential cross sections is principal, which further verifies the vibrational inversion in the products.  相似文献

A calculation of the proton structure function F2(x,Q^2) is reported with an approximation method that relates the reduced cross section derivative and the F2(x, Q^2) scaling violation at low x by using quadratic form for the structure function. This quadratic form approximation method can be used to determine the structure function F2 (x, Q^2) from the HERA reduced cross section data taken at low x. This new approach can determine the structure functions F2(x,Q^2) with reasonable precision even for low x values which have not been investigated. We observe that the Q^2 dependence is quadratic over the full kinematic covered range. To test the validity of our new determined structure functions, we find the gluon distribution function in the leading order approximation with our new calculation for the structure functions and compare them with the QCD parton distribution functions.  相似文献

The bound state solutions of Dirac equations for a trigonometric Scarf potential with a new tensor potential under spin and pseudospin symmetry limits are investigated using Romanovski polynomials. The proposed new tensor potential is inspired by superpotential form in supersymmetric(SUSY) quantum mechanics. The Dirac equations with trigonometric Scarf potential coupled by a new tensor potential for the pseudospin and spin symmetries reduce to Schrdinger-type equations with a shape invariant potential since the proposed new tensor potential is similar to the superpotential of trigonometric Scarf potential. The relativistic wave functions are exactly obtained in terms of Romanovski polynomials and the relativistic energy equations are also exactly obtained in the approximation scheme of centrifugal term. The new tensor potential removes the degeneracies both for pseudospin and spin symmetries.  相似文献

We study the near-threshold pion-induced production ofφmesons off nuclei in the kinematical conditions of the HADES experiment, recently performed at GSI.The calculations have been performed within a collision model based on the nuclear spectral function. The model accounts for both the primaryπ~-meson–protonπ~-p→φn and the secondary pion–nucleonπN→φNφproduction processes as well as the effects of the nuclearφand nucleon mean-field potentials. We find that the primary reaction channelπ~-p→φn dominates in theφproduction off~(12)C and~(184)W target nuclei in the HADES acceptance window at incident pion momentum of 1.7 Ge V/c.We calculate the momentum dependence of the absolute and relative(transparency ratio)φmeson yields from the above direct channel. The calculations have been performed for this initial pion momentum allowing for different options for theφN absorption cross sectionσ_(φN )and different scenarios for the in-medium mass shifts of theφmeson and secondary neutron, produced together withφin this channel. We demonstrate that the transparency ratio for theφmesons has, contrary to the absolute cross sections,an insignificant sensitivity to theφmeson and secondary neutron in-medium mass shifts atφmomenta studied in the HADES experiment. On the other hand,we show that there are measurable changes in the transparency ratio due to theφN absorption cross section, which means that such a relative observable can be useful to help determine this cross section from the data taken in the HADES experiment.  相似文献

The measurements of exclusive single-meson and double-pion electro-production cross sections off the proton to study nucleon resonances will be extended to higher momentum transfers with the CLAS12 detector and the energy upgraded CEBAF beam. Based on new theoretical developments to extract and interpret the electromagnetic transition form factors and on the experience gained from the most recent results, the newly formed collaboration of experimentalists and theorists shall enable us to provide unprecedented high- precision data, high-quality analyses, and state-of-the-art model and QCD based calculations in a Q2 domain up to 10 GeV2. For the first time nucleon resonance structures will be studied at still unexplored distance scales, where the dressed quark contributions are the dominating degrees of freedom and their strong interaction is responsible for the ground and excited nucleon state formation. These studies also open up a promising opportunity to understand the origin of more than 98% of the nucleon mass that is created by strong fields predominantly at these distance scales by dressing the current quarks.  相似文献

Based on the Pomeron exchange model, elastic production of φ meson in electron-proton interaction is investigated with both linear and non-linear Pomeron trajectories. The numerical calculations of the differential cross section for e+p→e' +p+ φ are performed. The theoretical predictions show that the dependence of the differential cross section on virtual photon virtuality, Q^2, is of moderation, the change of the energy scale parameter so causes moderate effect on the differential cross section, and the linear trajectory is a good approximation to non-linearity of the Pomeron trajectory, in particular, at small momentum transfer region |t|≤ 0.2 GeV^2.  相似文献

We study gluonic content of the pomeron and propose that the pomeron could be a reggeized tensor glueball ζ(2230) with quantum numbers IG JPc = 0 2 .This conjecture is examined in high energy proton-proton elastic scattering, and the calculations lend a favorable support to our physical idea.``  相似文献
