The effect of radiative corrections on the Higgs masses and couplings in supersymmetric models is summarized. Radiative corrections in both the minimal and nonminimal models are discussed. It is pointed out that large singlet Higgs vacuum expectation values are screened out from the radiative corrections to the lightest Higgs mass in nonminimal models. In supersymmetric models the crucial mass limit for the Higgs search may be around 150 GeV.  相似文献

We consider supersymmetric extensions of the standard model with two pairs of Higgs doublets. We study the possibility of spontaneous CP violation in these scenarios and present a model where the origin of CP violation is soft, with all the complex phases in the Lagrangian derived from complex masses and vacuum expectation values (VEVs) of the Higgs fields. The main ingredient of the model is an approximate global symmetry, which determines the order of magnitude of Yukawa couplings and scalar VEVs. We assume that the terms violating this symmetry are suppressed by powers of the small parameter εPQ = O(mb/mt). The tree-level flavor-changing interactions are small due to a combination of this global symmetry and a flavor symmetry, but they can be the dominant source of CP violation. All CP-violating effects occur at order εPQ2 as the result of exchange of almost decoupled extra Higgs bosons and/or through the usual mechanisms with an almost real CKM matrix. On dimensional grounds, the model gives εK ≈ εPQ2 and predicts for the neutron electric dipole moment (and possibly also for εK1) a suppression of order εPQ2 with respect to the values obtained in standard and minimal supersymmetric scenarios. The predicted CP asymmetries in B decays are generically too small to be seen in the near future. The mass of the lightest neutral scalar, the strong CP problem, and possible contributions to the Z decay into b quarks (the Rb puzzle) are also briefly addressed in the framework of this model.  相似文献

We describe the properties of Higgs bosons in a class of supersymmetric theories. We consider models in which the low-energy sector contains two weak complex doublets and perhaps one complex gauge-singlet Higgs field. Supersymmetry is assumed to be either softly or spontaneously broken, thereby imposing a number of restrictions on the Higgs boson parameters. We elucidate the Higgs boson masses and present Feynman rules for their couplings to the gauge bosons, fermions and scalars of the theory. We also present Feynman rules for vertices which are related by supersymmetry to the above couplings. Exact analytic expressions are given in two useful limits — one corresponding to the absence of the gauge-singlet Higgs field and the other corresponding to the absence of a supersymmetric Higgs mass term.  相似文献

We calculate the (induced) couplings of neutral Higgs scalars to two photons and to one photon and one Z-boson in a two-doublet model. We give the generalization to more scalar multiplets and investigate the case when Higgs → γγ is a substantial mode. Then we give conditions for the existence of a W+ ZH+ coupling (H+ is a charged scalar). Some aspects of non-linear gauges are elaborated on.  相似文献

Ever since the center-of-mass energy was increased in 1995 above the Zℴ resonance, the four LEP experiments (ALEPH, DELPHI, OPAL and L3) have renewed their effort to search for the Higgs boson. Data taking ended in the year 2000 with about 130 pb−1 of data collected per experiment above 206 GeV ine + e −1 collisions but the data analysis is still very active. Most recently, the wealth of theoretical models and predictions has stimulated new analyses and model interpretations which go beyond the standard model and minimal supersymmetric standard model. These include the searches for charged Higgs bosons, models with two Higgs field doublets, searches for ‘fermiophobic’ Higgs decay, invisible Higgs boson decays, decay-mode independent searches, and limits on Yukawa and anomalous Higgs couplings. I review the searches done by the four LEP experiments and present the LEP combined results when they exist.  相似文献

The Higgs sectors of supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model have two doublets in the minimal version (MSSM), and two doublets plus a singlet in two others: with (UMSSM) and without (NMSSM) an extra U(1)′. A very concise comparison of these three models is possible if we assume that the singlet has a somewhat larger breaking scale compared to the electroweak scale. In that case, the UMSSM and the NMSSM become effectively two-Higgs-doublet models (THDM), like the MSSM. In this approach the well-known upper mass bounds on the lightest CP-even neutral Higgs boson can be derived in a very simple and transparent way.  相似文献

We present the effects of heavy CP-even (H) and CP-odd (A) Higgs bosons on the production cross section of the process at the energy around the mass poles of the Higgs bosons. It is found that interference between H and A with small mass gap, as well as the ones between Higgs bosons and continuum, contributes to the cross section, if the photon beams are polarized and if we observe the helicity of the top quarks. It is demonstrated in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model that the H and A contributions can be sizable at future colliders for small values of . The methods to measure the CP-parity of the Higgs boson are also presented. The statistical significance of detecting the Higgs signals and measuring the Higgs CP-parity is evaluated. Consider all models in which the effective low-energy theory has an SU(3) × SU(2) × U(1) gauge group, softly or spontaneously broken supersymmetry, and Higgs doublets. Even though, in general, mass terms in such models are arbitrary (thus “ino” masses can be pushed up to higher and higher values), one can derive mass relations between ordinary Higgs particles. The most crucial relation gives an upper bound of 93 GeV on the mass of the lightest Higgs scalar. We discuss these relations and calculate radiative corrections to them. It is shown that the upper bound can not exceed 95 GeV, and the lower limit to the mass of charged scalar is 78 GeV. Corrections to other relations are also discussed. These relations may provide the first definitive test of low-energy supersymmetry.  相似文献

We calculate the dominant one-loop radiative corrections arising from quark-squark loops to the mass squared matrix of theCP-even Higgs bosons in a non-minimal supersymmetric Standard Model containing two Higgs doublets and a Higgs singlet chiral superfield using one-loop effective potential approximation. We use this result to evaluate upper and lower bounds on the radiatively corrected masses of all the scalar Higgs bosons as a function of the parameters of the model. We find that the one-loop radiative corrections are substantial only for the lightest Higgs boson of the model and can push its mass beyond the reach of LEP. We also calculate an absolute upper bound on the mass of the radiatively corrected lightest Higgs boson and compare it with the corresponding bound in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model.  相似文献

The NMSSM contains a Higgs singlet in addition to the two Higgs doublets typical of the MSSM, thus resulting in a total of seven physical Higgs mass states. Therefore, the phenomenology of the NMSSM Higgs sector can differ considerably from that of the MSSM, and there are good prospects of finding in regions of the NMSSM parameter space Higgs signals that cannot be reproduced in the MSSM. We examined here the two-photon decay mode of a Higgs boson and found that up to three neutral Higgs states, heavy and/or light, could be simultaneously observable at the LHC, a possibility precluded to the MSSM. There are also some possibilities that only the lightest NMSSM Higgs boson be detectable via this mode, with a mass beyond the upper limit of the corresponding MSSM state, thus also allowing one to distinguish between the two scenarios. However, in most of the NMSSM parameter space the configurations of the non-minimal model are not very different from those arising in the minimal case.  相似文献
