LetM be a 3-dimensional quasi-Sasakian manifold. On such a manifold, the so-called structure function is defined. With the help of this function, we find necessary and sufficient conditions forM to be conformally flat. Next it is proved that ifM is additionally conformally flat with = const., then (a)M is locally a product ofR and a 2-dimensional Kählerian space of constant Gauss curvature (the cosymplectic case), or (b)M is of constant positive curvature (the non cosymplectic case; here the quasi-Sasakian structure is homothetic to a Sasakian structure). An example of a 3-dimensional quasi-Sasakian structure being conformally flat with nonconstant structure function is also described. For conformally flat quasi-Sasakian manifolds of higher dimensions see [O1]  相似文献

We show that a locally symmetric contact metric space is either Sasakian and of constant curvature 1 or locally isometric to the unit tangent sphere bundle (with its standard contact metric structure) of a Euclidean space. The second author is corresponding author  相似文献

First, we derive a new second variation formula which holds for minimal Legendrian submanifolds in Sasakian manifolds. Using this, we prove that any minimal Legendrian submanifold in an η-Einstein Sasakian manifold with “nonpositive” η-Ricci constant is stable. Next we introduce the notion of the Legendrian stability of minimal Legendrian submanifolds in Sasakian manifolds. Using our second variation formula, we find a general criterion for the Legendrian stability of minimal Legendrian submanifolds in η-Einstein Sasakian manifolds with “positive” η-Ricci constant.  相似文献

We prove that the universal covering of a complete locally symmetric normal metric contact pair manifold with decomposable ? is a Calabi‐Eckmann manifold or the Riemannian product of a sphere and . We show that a complete, simply connected, normal metric contact pair manifold with decomposable ?, such that the foliation induced by the vertical subbundle is regular and reflections in the integral submanifolds of the vertical subbundle are isometries, is the product of globally ?‐symmetric spaces or the product of a globally ?‐symmetric space and . Moreover in the first case the manifold fibers over a locally symmetric space endowed with a symplectic pair.  相似文献

A -symmetric spaceM is a complete connected regular Sasakian manifold, that fibers over an Hermitian symmetric spaceN, so that the geodesic involutions ofN lift to define global (involutive) automorphisms of the Sasakian structure onM. In the present paper the complete classification of -symmetric spaces is obtained. The groups of automorphisms of the Sasakian structures and the groups of isometries of the underlying Riemannian metrics are determined. As a corollary, the Sasakian space forms are also determined.  相似文献

We study a 2-dimensional manifold that admits a homogeneous action of a 3-dimensional Lie group G, and has a 2-form invariant under G. We show that such a manifold can be realized as a surface in the affine 3-space, and list such realizations.   相似文献

In this paper we study the Calabi diastasis function of Hermitian symmetric spaces. This allows us to prove that if a complete Hermitian locally symmetric space (M,g) admits a Kähler immersion into a globally symmetric space (S,G) then it is globally symmetric and the immersion is injective. Moreover, if (S,G) is symmetric of a specified type (Euclidean, noncompact, compact), then (M,g) is of the same type. We also give a characterization of Hermitian globally symmetric spaces in terms of their diastasis function. Finally, we apply our analysis to study the balanced metrics, introduced by Donaldson, in the case of locally Hermitian symmetric spaces.  相似文献

We study projective curvature tensor in K-contact and Sasakian manifolds. We prove that (1) if a K-contact manifold is quasi projectively flat then it is Einstein and (2) a K-contact manifold is ξ-projectively flat if and only if it is Einstein Sasakian. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a K-contact manifold to be quasi projectively flat and φ-projectively flat are obtained. We also prove that for a (2n + 1)-dimensional Sasakian manifold the conditions of being quasi projectively flat, φ-projectively flat and locally isometric to the unit sphere S 2n+1 (1) are equivalent. Finally, we prove that a compact φ-projectively flat K-contact manifold with regular contact vector field is a principal S 1-bundle over an almost Kaehler space of constant holomorphic sectional curvature 4.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study the stability of the characteristic vector field of a compact K-contact manifold with respect to the energy and volume functionals when we consider on the manifold a two-parameter variation of the metric. First of all, we multiply the metric in the direction of the characteristic vector field by a constant and then we change the metric by homotheties. We will study to what extent the results obtained in [V. Borrelli, Stability of the characteristic vector field of a Sasakian manifold, Soochow J. Math. 30 (2004) 283-292. Erratum on the article: Stability of the characteristic vector field of a Sasakian manifold, Soochow J. Math. 32 (2006) 179-180] for Sasakian manifolds are valid for a general K-contact manifold. Finally, as an example, we will study the stability of Hopf vector fields on Berger spheres when we consider homotheties of Berger metrics.  相似文献

We consider a (2m + 3)-dimensional Riemannian manifold Mr, ηr, g ) endowed with a vertical skew symmetric almost contact 3-structure. Such manifold is foliated by 3-dimensional submanifolds of constant curvature tangent to the vertical distribution and the square of the length of the vertical structure vector field is an isoparametric function. If, in addition, Mr, ηr, g ) is endowed with an f -structure φ, M, turns out to be a framed fCR-manifold. The fundamental 2-form Ω associated with φ is a presymplectic form. Locally, M is the Riemannian product of two totally geodesic submanifolds, where is a 2m-dimensional Kaehlerian submanifold and is a 3-dimensional submanifold of constant curvature. If M is not compact, a class of local Hamiltonians of Ω is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain some sufficient conditions for a 3-dimensional compact trans-Sasakian manifold of type (α, β) to be homothetic to a Sasakian manifold. A characterization of a 3-dimensional cosymplectic manifold is also obtained.  相似文献

A class of manifolds which admit an f-structure with s-dimensional parallelizable kernel is introduced and studied. Such manifolds are Kenmotsu manifolds if s = 1, and carry a locally conformal K?hler structure of Kashiwada type when s = 2. The existence of several foliations allows to state some local decomposition theorems. The Ricci tensor together with Einstein-type conditions and f-sectional curvatures are also considered. Furthermore, each manifold carries a homogeneous Riemannian structure belonging to the class of the classification stated by Tricerri and Vanhecke, provided that it is a locally symmetric space. We show that every 4-dimensional anti-Kähler manifold is Einstein and locally symmetric. In particular any 4-dimensional anti-Kähler manifold with zero scalar curvature is flat.  相似文献

Let M be a Riemannian m-dimensional manifold with m ≥ 3, endowed with non zero parallel p-form. We prove that there is no minimal isometric immersions of M in a Riemannian manifold N with constant strictly negative sectional curvature. Next we show that, under the conform flatness of the manifold N and some assumptions on the Ricci curvature of N, there is no α-pluriharmonic isometric immersion.  相似文献

We show that every compact Einstein Hermitian surface with constant *–scalar curvature is a K?hler surface. In contrast to the 4-dimensional case, it is shown that there exists a compact Einstein Hermitian (4n + 2)-dimensional manifold with constant *–scalar curvature which is not K?hler. This study is supported by Kangwon National University.  相似文献

We obtain the full classification of invariant symplectic, (almost) complex and Kähler structures, together with their paracomplex analogues, on four-dimensional pseudo-Riemannian generalized symmetric spaces. We also apply these results to build some new examples of five-dimensional homogeneous K-contact, Sasakian, K-paracontact and para-Sasakian manifolds.  相似文献

We study Ricci flat 4-metrics of any signature under the assumption that they allow a Lie algebra of Killing fields with 2-dimensional orbits along which the metric degenerates and whose orthogonal distribution is not integrable. It turns out that locally there is a unique (up to a sign) metric which satisfies the conditions. This metric is of signature (++−−) and, moreover, homogeneous possessing a 6-dimensional symmetry algebra.  相似文献

The J-invariance of the Ricci tensor is a natural weakening of the Einstein condition in almost Hermitian geometry. The aim of this paper is to determine left-invariant strictly almost Kähler structures (g,J,Ω) on real 4-dimensional Lie groups such that the Ricci tensor is J-invariant. We prove that all these Lie groups are isometric (up to homothety) to the (unique) 4-dimensional proper 3-symmetric space.  相似文献

The main result of this paper is that a Lorentzian manifold is locally conformally equivalent to a manifold with recurrent lightlike vector field and totally isotropic Ricci tensor if and only if its conformal tractor holonomy admits a 2-dimensional totally isotropic invariant subspace. Furthermore, for semi-Riemannian manifolds of arbitrary signature we prove that the conformal holonomy algebra of a C-space is a Berger algebra. For Ricci-flat spaces we show how the conformal holonomy can be obtained by the holonomy of the ambient metric and get results for Riemannian manifolds and plane waves.  相似文献

On the basis of the phase completion the notion of vertical and horizontal lifts of vector fields is defined in the tensor bundles over a Riemannian manifold. Such a tensor bundle is made into a manifold with a Riemannian structure of special type by endowing it with Sasakian metric. The components of the Levi-Civita and other metric connections with respect to Sasakian metrics on tensor bundles with respect to the adapted frame are presented. This having been done, it is shown that it is possible to study geodesics of Sasakian metrics dealing with geodesics of the base manifolds.
