利用Larmor钟方法计算了一维复合势垒系统中的隧穿时间.从计算结果,对由Larmor钟所定义的Larmor时间在复合势垒中的有效性、可加性,以及它们与透射时间τT、反射时间τR、逗留时间τD的关系作了讨论.6个Larmor时间中,τxTxRyT和τyR都不是有效的时间量,它们不能为隧穿时间提供有效的描述,只有τyT和τyR满足可加性和判据τD=TτyT+RτyR,它们最有可能给出透射时间τT、反射时间τR.τyTyR与势垒的对称性有关,等式τyT=τyR是否成立与势垒是否对称有关. 关键词:  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A new dispersion relation, with finite Larmor orbit effects, for oblique propagating electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves in a magnetized plasma medium, is derived including the magnetic shear effect. The approximate, yet accurate, dispersion relation is used to implement the ray tracing model. A parabolic magnetic field is considered to model the geomagnetic field in the magnetosphere. Energetic protons are also considered as resonant particles. The propagation characteristics of EMIC waves in the vicinity of the ion cyclotron resonances are investigated in some detail. The results reveal adiabatic oscillating motion for wave and magnetic field fluctuations where high harmonics limit the wave damping and confines the magnetic fluctuations. For inward propagating EMIC waves we find (1) turning points which depend on the wave launch position, and (2) wave trapped areas playing a role in quasi-coherent wave-particle interaction in agreement with the observational and theoretical studies. This wave trapping is an effective process for particle acceleration in the context of space plasmas.  相似文献

The evolution of the longitudinal magnetization of nuclear spins in a cw high-frequency magnetic field has been measured using a SQUID magnetometer at liquid-helium temperatures in magnetic fields H 0 of up to 57 Oe. The time T m for thermal mixing of the Zeeman and dipolar systems has been found to range between 0.05 and 4×102 s. For T m>1 s the function T m(H 0) is exponential. The proton NMR spectra near the fundamental and twice the Larmor frequency have been obtained. The shift in the resonance with respect to the Larmor frequency is close to the theoretical prediction. We present a neutron polarimetric experiment where two kinds of spinor precessions are observed: one is induced by different total energy of neutrons (zero-field precession) and the other is induced by a stationary guide field (Larmor precession). A characteristic of the former is the dependence of the energy-difference, which is in practice tuned by the frequency of the interacting oscillating magnetic field ωR. In contrast the latter completely depends on the strength of the guide field, namely Larmor frequency ωL. Our neutron-polarimetric experiment exhibits individual tuning as well as specific properties of each spinor precession, which assures the use of both spin precessions for multi-entangled spinor manipulation.  相似文献

The classical non-relativistic problem of the motion of a charged particle in an external central force field and a weak uniform magnetic field is revisited to show that the motion of the kinetic angular momentumL = r × p of the particle, in the so-called Larmor approximation, is not a simple precession but is actually a composite motion involving precession as well as a high frequency nutation. The precession-nutation motion ofL is discussed in the Larmor approximation when the Larmor-frame-orbit of the charged particle is an ellipse (or a circle) for the case of the two central forces namely the Coulomb and the Hooke-law-force, which are the only two central forces known to permit closed orbits.  相似文献

For a charged particle in a homogeneous magnetic field, we construct stationary squeezed states which are eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian and the non-Hermitian operator , and Ŷ being the coordinates of the Larmor circle center and Φ is a complex parameter. In the family of the squeezed states, the quantum uncertainty in the Larmor circle position is minimal. The wave functions of the squeezed states in the coordinate representation are found and their properties are discussed. Besides, for arbitrary gauge of the vector potential we derive the symmetry operators of translations and rotations. Fiz. Tverd. Using a cylindrical Langmuir probe, the plasma properties (ion density, electron temperature, floating and plasma potentials) in a magnetron sputter source have been investigated, along one particular line‐of‐sight, but for different probe‐orientations with respect to the B‐field. The plasma in the region hosen for observation is haracterised by electrons, which are magnetised (Larmor radius rle < both the electron mean‐free‐path λe, and plasma extension L) and ions, which are not (their Larmor radius rI > L, λI). Through the development of a simple expression for the electron saturation current at different probe angles relative to the local B‐field, it is possible to correct for the diminished electron currents due to their restricted transport across the field. The results indicate that the measured ion density, electron temperature, floating and plasma potentials are unaffected by the probe orientation, however the electron saturation current is attenuated when the probe is aligned along the B‐field. A simple model for the collection of electrons indicates that classical electron diffusion may not operate in the magnetron, with cross‐field electron transport dominated by anomalous, possibly Bohm, diffusion.  相似文献

An infinitely extending homogeneous, self-gravitating rotating magnetized plasma flowing through a porous medium has been considered under the influence of Finite Larmor Radius (FLR) and other transport phenomena. A general dispersion relation has been derived through the linearized perturbation equations. Longitudinal and transverse modes of propagation have been discussed for the rotation with axis parallel and perpendicular to the magnetic field. The joint influence, of the aforesaid parameters, does not essentially change the Jeans' criterion of instability but modifies the same. The adiabatic sonic speed has been replaced by the isothermal one due to the thermal conductivity. It is further observed that the FLR corrections have stabilizing effect for an inviscid, non-rotating plasma, in case of transverse propagation. Rotation decreases the Larmor radius, whereas the porosity reduces the effects of rotation, FLR, and the magnetic field. Viscosity removes the effects of both, the roation, and the FLR corrections.  相似文献

Abstract

The measurement of temperature in a wall‐stabilized thermal plasma is done by optical emission spectroscopy. The absolute intensity line method, relative intensity line method, and plot of the Boltzmann function are used. Another method, based on the measurement of electron density and calculations of concentrations, is also used. The influence of spectral line deconvolution on temperature profiles is studied. The results obtained by the four methods are compared. The influence of others parameters, such as the accuracy of spectroscopic constants, and the influence of the theoritical calculations of concentrations are also discussed. These methods employ Ar I, C I and O I lines to measure the temperature of an Ar–CO2 mixture plasma produced in a wall‐stabilized arc.  相似文献

Summary A thorough analytical and numerical study of the fully relativistic dielectric tensor relevant to the electron cyclotron propagation and absorption in a Maxwellian plasma is presented for arbitrary values of the wave refractive index parallel to the equilibrium magnetic field. Both the Hermitian and the anti-Hermitian part are calculated relativistically and, in particular, as for the anti-Hermitian part, the finite Larmor radius effects are accounted for to any order. Limiting forms are obtained along with a detailed numerical comparison with the nonrelativistic form.
Riassunto Si calcola, sia analiticamente che numericamente, il tensore dielettrico completamente relativistico di rilevanza nella propagazione e nell'assorbilnento ciclotronico elettronico in un plasma maxwelliano, per valori arbitrari dell'indice di rifrazione parallelo al campo magnetico di equilibrio. Si tien conto degli effetti relativistici sia nella parte Hermitiana che nella parte anti-Hermitiana, in questa ultima pure gli effetti di raggio di Larmor finito sono inclusi a tutti gli ordini. Si ottengono e si discutono limiti significativi e si presenta un dettagliato confronto numerico con la forma non relativistica del tensore dielettrico.

The x-ray spectra of a plasma generated by heating CO2 and Ar clusters with high-intensity femtosecond laser pulses with q las≃1018 W/cm2 are investigated. Spatially resolved x-ray spectra of a cluster plasma are obtained for the first time. Photoionization absorption is observed to influence the spectral line profiles. The recorded features of the x-ray emission spectra definitely indicate the existence of a large relative number of excited ions (≃10−2–10−3) with energies of 0.1–1 MeV in such a plasma. Possible mechanisms underlying the acceleration of ions to high energies are discussed. It is shown that the experimental results can be attributed to the influence of ponderomotive forces in standing waves generated by the reflection of laser radiation from the clusters. Zh. éksp. The aim of the present work is to revisit the theory of the dipole radiation, within an SO(3,1)-gauge invariant formulation, by solving the Maxwell equations. Thus, we obtain the two interconnected components, A B , B=1,2, of the vector potential A, in terms of Hankel and Legendre polynomials. Finally, for the pure dipole-like radiation, the observables, regarded as phasors, the Umov–Poynting vector components and the well-known Larmor formula for the effective radiated power are explicitly derived.  相似文献

The fluctuations of various parameters of the relativistic quantum plasma are studied with the use of the covariant Wigner function techniques. The fluctuations of the covariant Wigner function of the ideal Fermi gas at thermal equilibrium are calculated. The result is a function of the one particle Wigner function and the anticommutator of the Dirac fields only. As a consequence second order correlation functions of the four-current and the momentum-energy tensor are obtained and analyzed. On the basis of the fluctuation-dissipation theorem, the polarization tensors at first order in e2 of the magnetized and the non-magnetized electron gas are derived from the four-current fluctuations of the ideal plasma. Expressions are given for the magnetized vacuum polarization in two representations, integral and discrete sums over Landau levels, for arbitrary values of the photon four-momentum. The dispersion relations of the magnetized gas are studied in the limit of low frequencies and wavenumbers. It is shown that owing to relativistic quantum effects, the characteristic frequencies of the plasma modes (plasma and Larmor frequencies) split into effective transverse and longitudinal frequencies. The existence of an acoustic mode (zero sound) for the one-component plasma is also shown.  相似文献

The effect of ultrastrong magnetic fields generated in a relativistic-intensity subpicosecond laser plasma on the acceleration of fast electrons was studied. It is shown that resonance electrons can continuously accumulate energy from the circularly polarized laser field in the presence of a longitudinal magnetic field. For the linear polarization and a transverse magnetic field, energy accumulation has a pulse-periodic character, and the electron trajectories correspond to electron rotation in the Larmor orbit in a quasi-stationary magnetic field, while the energy strongly oscillates. In both cases, electron energy may attain values higher than 100 MeV for intensities of 1020 W/cm2.  相似文献

PurposeTo compare the correlations among the R1ρ, R2, and R2* relaxation rates with liver iron concentration (LIC) in the assessment of rat liver iron content and explore the application potential of R1ρ in assessing liver iron content.MethodsIron dextran (dosage of 0, 25, 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg body weight) was injected into 35 male rats to increase the amount of iron storage in the liver. After one week, all rats were euthanized with isoflurane. A portion of the largest hepatic lobe was extracted to quantify the LIC by inductively coupled plasma, and the remaining liver tissue was stored in 4% buffered paraformaldehyde for 24 h before MRI. Spin-lock preparation with a RARE (rapid acquisition with relaxation enhancement) readout (9 different spin-lock times and 7 different spin-lock frequencies (FSLs)) and multi-echo UTE (ultrashort TE) pulses were developed to quantify R1ρ and R2 * on a Bruker 11.7 T MR system. For comparisons with R1ρ and R2*, R2 was acquired using the CPMG sequence.ResultsMean R1ρ values displayed dispersion, with decrease in R1ρ at higher FSLs. Spearman's correlation analysis (two-tailed) indicated that the R1ρ values were significantly associated with LIC at FSL = 2000, 2500, and 3000 Hz (r = 0.365 and P = 0.031, r = 0.608 and P < 0.001, and r = 0.764 and P < 0.001, respectively), and were not significantly associated with LIC at FSL = 500, 1000, 1250, and 1500 Hz (all P > 0.05). R2 and R2* showed significant linear correlations with LIC (r = 0.787 and P < 0.001, and r = 0.859 and P < 0.001, respectively). Correlation analysis across R1ρ, R2, and R* also suggested that the correlation strength between R1ρ and R2 and between R1ρ and R* showed an increasing trend with increase in FSL.ConclusionIn this study, a strong association was observed between R1ρ and LIC at high FSLs further confirming previous findings. The results demonstrated that R1ρ at high FSL might serve as a complementary imaging biomarker for liver iron overload quantification.  相似文献

A dispersion relation for the near perpendicular propagation of the electromagnetic ion cyclotron wave has been derived in a fusion plasma that has deuterium as a majority species, hydrogen as a minority species and fully ionized oxygen as an impurity constituent; all being modelled by loss cone distribution functions. The wave has a frequencyω around the deuterium ion gyrofrequency-ΩD and a wavelength much longer than its Larmor radiusγ LD(k γ LD<1); the plasma itself being characterized by large ion plasma frequencies (ω PD 2D 2 ). Two modes, a low frequency (LF) and a high frequency (HF) mode of opposite electrical energy can propagate in the plasma; the instabilities that arise are thus due to an interaction of modes of opposite energies. We find that while hydrogen tends to destabilize the plasma, the impurity oxygen ions have the reverse effect. Also the plasma is most stable when the ratios of the perpendicular components of oxygen-to-deuterium and hydrogen-to-deuterium temperatures are kept low. Detailed studies of the wave propagation characteristics and energy reveal the close resemblance of a loss cone plasma containing oxygen to a stable Maxwellian plasma in regard to wave stability, propagation and energy.  相似文献

The thermosolutal instability of a plasma in porous medium is considered in the presence of finite Larmor radius effect. The finite Larmor radius, stable solute gradient and magnetic field introduce oscillatory modes in the systems which were nonexistent in their absence. For stationary convection, the finite Larmor radius and stable solute gradient have stabilizing effects on the thermosolutal instability in porous medium. In presence of finite Larmor radius effect, the medium permeability has a destabilizing (or stabilizing) effect and the magnetic field has a stabilizing (or destabilizing) effect under certain condition whereas in the absence of finite Larmor radius effect, the medium permeability and the magnetic field have destabilizing and stabilizing effects, respectively, on thermosolutal instability of a plasma in porous medium.
