A diode end-pumped acousto-optic Q-switched Nd:YVO_4/LuVO_4 Raman laser is demonstrated. Both YVO_4 and LuVO_4 can work as Raman gain, and slightly different active vibration modes of both crystals can result in different first-Stokes wavelengths. The output characteristic as the Raman competition between YVO_4 and LuVO_4 crystals for the laser systems with both shared cavity and coupled cavity is experimentally investigated.For the shared cavity, simultaneous Raman conversion in both YVO_4 and LuVO_4 crystals is achieved with dualwavelength emission at 1175.8 and 1177.1 nm. The maximum output power of 1.03 W and the conversion efficiency of 10.3% are obtained. The 0.84 W single first Stokes wavelength at 1177.1 nm with LuVO_4 Raman conversion is achieved with the coupled cavity. The results show that the coupled cavity with short Raman cavity can obtain a narrow pulse width. The separated laser crystal and Raman gain media with different vanadates in shared cavity have advantages in achieving dual-wavelength lasers with small frequency intervals.  相似文献

We report on the development and testing of a compact laser tweezers Raman spectroscopy (LTRS) system. The system combines optical trapping and near-infrared Raman spectroscopy for manipulation and identification of single biological cells in solution. A low-power diode laser at 785 nm was used for both trapping and excitation for Raman spectroscopy of the suspended microscopic particles. The design of the LTRS system provides high sensitivity and permits real-time spectroscopic measurements of the biological sample. The system was calibrated by use of polystyrene microbeads and tested on living blood cells and on both living and dead yeast cells. As expected, different images and Raman spectra were observed for the different cells. The LTRS system may provide a valuable tool for the study of fundamental cellular processes and the diagnosis of cellular disorders.  相似文献

Abstract

A tunable multi-wavelength L-band Brillouin–Raman fiber laser with a 20-GHz channel spacing utilizing bidirectional ring cavity is proposed and experimentally investigated. The laser employs a co-pumped dispersion compensating fiber as a gain medium for both Brillouin and Raman gains. With a Raman pump of 425 mW, the laser system can generate up to 12 double-spaced Brillouin Stokes signals. This simple laser configuration provides stable Brillouin Stokes signals in the absence of self-lasing cavity modes with a tuning range exceeding 35 nm without using any filtering mechanism. The Stokes signals have more than 20 dB of optical signal-to-noise ratio.  相似文献

A novel setup, combining two spectroscopic techniques, laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and Raman spectroscopy in a hybrid unit, is described. The work presented herein is part of a broader project that aims to demonstrate the applicability of the hybrid LIBS-Raman unit as an analytical tool for the investigation of samples and objects of cultural heritage. The system utilizes a nanosecond pulsed Nd:YAG laser (532 nm) for both LIBS and Raman analysis. In the Raman mode, a low intensity beam from the laser probes the sample surface and the scattering signal is collected into a grating spectrograph coupled to an intensified charge-coupled device (ICCD) detector, which records the Raman spectrum. In the LIBS mode a single high intensity pulse from the laser irradiates the sample surface and the time- and spectrally-resolved emission from the resulting laser ablation plume yields the LIBS spectrum. The use of a non-gated CCD detector was found to produce similar quality data (in terms of S/N ratio and fluorescence background) in the Raman mode, while in the LIBS mode spectral features were clearly broader but did not prevent identification of prominent atomic emission lines. Several model pigment samples were examined and the data obtained show the ability of the hybrid unit to record both Raman and LIBS spectra from the same point on the sample, a clear advantage over the use of different analytical setups. Analytical equations for the power of second-harmonic stationary generation or sum frequency mixing in a Raman laser with an intracavity nonlinear medium are developed and analyzed as functions of pumping mode and other parameters of the laser system. Parameter relationships providing the maximum output power and conditions for suppression of both stimulated Raman scattering by sum frequency mixing and; consequently, of sum frequency mixing itself are found.  相似文献

利用激光拉曼光谱对胃癌细胞及正常胃细胞进行了对比检测,对胃癌细胞特征拉曼峰作了初步探讨,发现胃癌患者标本的特征拉曼峰与非胃癌患者标本的光谱有明显的不同。实验发现,浓度为每mL 1.25×105个胃癌细胞的样品在经过若干天培养后均能够被检测出胃癌细胞的特征拉曼峰,分别位于特定波长583,633,656 nm处。这是几个很少见诸报道的新拉曼光谱峰。不论是特征拉 曼峰,还是在胃癌细胞及正常胃细胞的几个共有的拉曼峰674, 707, 773, 799 nm处,拉曼光谱强度都是随血清中癌细胞浓度的增加而增加。激光拉曼光谱分析有可能发展成为一种快速有效的癌细胞检测方 法。  相似文献

机载激光拉曼散射雷达技术可以快速获取次表层海水温度的三维分布,具有重要的实用价值和经济价值.首先,从理论上分析了水的伸缩振动拉曼谱峰值位置和半高全宽与激发波长之间的对应关系,发现随着激发波长的增大,拉曼峰逐渐向长波方向移动,且拉曼光谱半高全宽显著增大.然后,实验测量了不同温度下450 nm激光和532 nm激光激发的水的拉曼光谱,对比验证了上述理论分析结果.并采用单高斯峰拟合法分析了两组拉曼光谱,拟合出高斯峰峰值位置与温度之间的关系,分析了激发波长对温度测量精度的影响.研究发现,采用较长波长的激发光可以提高拉曼光谱的测量精度,从而改善测温精度.最后,建立了拉曼散射雷达方程,分析了拉曼散射系数与激光波长之间的关系,研究了激光波长对雷达系统探测深度的影响.结果表明,激光波长对雷达系统探测深度有很大的影响,采用480 nm以下波长的激光时雷达系统探测深度较大,而采用长波段激光时雷达系统探测深度会大幅降低.实际系统设计中选取激光光源时需要综合考虑上述两方面的影响.  相似文献

拉曼光谱是研究水中生物分子重要的有效方法之一,然而由于拉曼散射截面小,特别是水分子的电子激发态能级高,因此水中生物分子的拉曼光谱测量甚为困难。将液芯光纤技术和共振拉曼技术结合起来,可大幅度提高拉曼光谱强度。实验中用可以获得最大的共振拉曼光谱强度的514.5 nm Ar+离子激光激发,分别用石英和Teflon液芯光纤对水中β-胡萝卜素生物分子进行了痕量检测研究。结果表明应用石英液芯光纤和Teflon液芯光纤可分别检测浓度为10-7~10-9mol·L-1和10-9~10-10mol·L-1的β-胡萝卜素。  相似文献

The relationship between the factors of giant enhancement of luminescence and inelastic (Raman) scattering of light at planar silver nanostructures is investigated. For this purpose, the variation of the enhanced luminescence and Raman signals with the distance between the nanostructure surface and a layer of test molecules is examined. It is found that, for lines whose spectral position is close to the wavelength of the excitation laser, the enhancement factor for the Raman scattering is proportional to the square of that for the luminescence signal. As the spectral shift between the Raman lines and the laser position increases, the above dependence becomes subquadratic. It is established that the spatial scale on which the enhancement is manifested is the same for both effects and amounts to 25–30 nm.  相似文献

We derive a simple model describing steady characteristics of Raman fiber lasers made with polarization maintaining fibers. We show both theoretically and experimentally that this kind of laser simply consists of two independent Raman lasers linearly polarized along the fiber birefringence axes. The output power characteristics of the laser are shown not to be influenced by optical Kerr effect. Finally, we use our model to propose answers to questions recently raised about efficiency of Raman lasers made with polarization maintaining fibers.  相似文献

建立一种用激光镊子拉曼光谱法快速定量红法夫酵母细胞内虾青素含量的方法。测定不同浓度虾青素标准品溶液的拉曼光谱,取其1 520cm-1峰峰高绘制虾青素标准曲线;取不同氮源、碳源的红法夫酵母细胞,一部分用激光镊子拉曼光谱法测定,一部分用紫外-可见分光光度法测定;最后分析两者间的相关性。结果表明虾青素标准曲线的相关系数到达0.998 3。在单位质量红法夫酵母虾青素含量与单位体积红法夫酵母发酵液虾青素产量方面,对比激光镊子拉曼光谱法与紫外-可见分光光度法,两种方法所得数据具有良好的相关性,其相关系数分别达到0.917 7和0.905 4,表明激光镊子拉曼光谱法能够达到紫外-可见分光光度法的测定效果,是定量分析红法夫酵母细胞内虾青素的更有效方法。  相似文献

A diode-pumped, far-off-resonance cw Raman laser in H(2) with rotational Stokes emission is reported for the first time to our knowledge. The Raman laser can produce single-wavelength emission at either 830 nm (rotational Stokes) or 1180 nm (vibrational Stokes) depending on the frequency tuning of the pump laser. The mirrors for the rotational cw Raman laser are easier to produce; the laser also exhibits a wider continuous tuning range and is less sensitive to thermal effects than the previously studied vibrational Raman laser [Opt. Lett. 26, 426 (2001) and references therein].  相似文献

The progress on anti‐Stokes photoluminescence and Stokes and anti‐Stokes Raman scattering in GaN single crystals and GaN/AlN heterostructures is reviewed. Anti‐Stokes photoluminescence investigated in the past was primarily attributed to two‐photon absorption, three‐photon absorption, and phonon‐assisted absorption. On the other hand, anti‐Stokes Raman scattering was used to determine electron‐phonon scattering time and decay time constant for longitudinal‐optical phonons. In a typical high electron mobility transistor based on GaN/AlN heterostructures, strong resonances were reached for first‐order and second‐order Raman scattering processes. Therefore, both Stokes and anti‐Stokes Raman intensities were dramatically enhanced. The feasibility of laser cooling of a nitride structure has been demonstrated. Anti‐Stokes photoluminescence and Raman scattering have potential applications in upconversion lasers and laser cooling of nitride ultrafast electronic and optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

The Raman spectrum of Si nanowires (NWs) is a matter of controversy. Usually, the one-phonon band appears broadened and shifted. This behaviour is interpreted in terms of phonon confinement; however, similar effects are observed for NWs with dimensions for which phonon confinement does not play any relevant role. In this context, the temperature increase induced by the laser beam is recognized to play a capital role in the shape of the spectrum. The analysis of the Raman spectrum, under the influence of the heating induced by the laser beam, is strongly dependent on the excitation conditions and the properties of the NWs. We present herein an analysis of the Raman spectrum of Si NWs based on a study of the interaction between the laser beam and the NWs, for both ensembles of NWs and individual NWs, taking account of the temperature increase in the NWs under the focused laser beam and the dimensions of the NWs.  相似文献

The authors present an external cavity diode laser with high spectral purity for tunable laser Raman spectroscopy. To achieve high spectral purity required for Raman spectroscopy, a laser cavity utilizing a volume phase holographic grating, which has very low stray light, is developed and the first-order diffracted beam from the grating is taken as the output. Raman signals can be obtained from common samples with only a commercial laser rejection filter, greatly simplifying a tunable Raman instrument.  相似文献

A model of the full Raman response function of a gas mixture including rotational and vibrational motions of molecules is presented and is applied to examine the properties of the retarded optical nonlinearity of atmospheric air. For few-cycle laser pulses, broadband field waveforms, and/or high gas temperatures, both rotational and vibrational motions can significantly contribute to the Raman response of atmospheric air, with the ratio of the rotational and vibrational parts of the Raman response function controlled by the gas temperature and the temporal shape of the laser field.  相似文献

We report a laser-diode-pumped 1407-nm Raman fiber laser with an output power of 1 W. In this three-cascaded cw Raman laser, based on a single active phosphorus-doped silica fiber, for the first time to the authors' knowledge successive generation of Stokes components of essentially different frequency shifts (1330 and 490cm(-1)) has been realized. These Stokes components are associated with both constituents (P(2)O(5) and SiO(2)) of the fiber core glass.  相似文献

We demonstrate experimentally, for the first time, the feasibility of enhancing signals in Spatially Offset Raman Spectroscopy (SORS) using a dielectric bandpass filter, building on our earlier experimental work on the enhancement of transmission Raman signals. The method is shown to lead to the enhancement of both the surface and subsurface Raman layer signal improving the signal‐to‐noise ratio of Raman spectra from the deep areas of samples, thus enhancing the technique's sensitivity and penetration depth. The filter is placed over the laser illumination zone, on the sample surface acting as a ‘unidirectional’ mirror transmitting the collimated laser beam on one side and reflecting photons escaping from the sample back into it. This enhances the degree of coupling of laser radiation into the medium and associated generated Raman signal. The feasibility study was performed on a two‐layer sample with the second layer located at the limit of the penetration depth of the method for this sample. The sample consisted of a 2.2‐mm over‐layer of a thinned paracetamol tablet followed by a 2‐mm layer of trans‐stilbene powder. The Raman signal was collected from a spatially offset region through a hole fabricated within the filter. The experiments demonstrate the presence of an enhancement of the Raman signal from both the layers by a factor of 4.4–4.5 and the improved signal‐to‐noise ratio of sublayer signal by a factor of 2.2, in agreement with photon shot noise dominated signal.
