There have been many studies of viscous compressible gas flow in wakes and behind steps [1–6] in which attention has been focused on the steady-state flow regime. The problem of the supersonic flow of a viscous compressible heat-conducting gas past a plain backward-facing step is considered. The problem is solved numerically within the framework of the complete system of Navier-Stokes equations. The passage of the solution from the initial data to the steady-state regime and the effect of the gas dynamic parameters of the external flow on the characteristic flow stabilization time are investigated.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 137–140, July–August, 1989.  相似文献

The combined influence of unsteady effects and free-stream nonuniformity on the variation of the flow structure near the stagnation line and the mechanical and thermal surface loads is investigated within the framework of the thin viscous shock layer model with reference to the example of the motion of blunt bodies at constant velocity through a plane temperature inhomogeneity. The dependence of the friction and heat transfer coefficients on the Reynolds number, the shape of the body and the parameters of the temperature inhomogeneity is analyzed. A number of properties of the flow are established on the basis of numerical solutions obtained over a broad range of variation of the governing parameters. By comparing the solutions obtained in the exact formulation with the calculations made in the quasisteady approximation the region of applicability of the latter is determined. In a number of cases of the motion of a body at supersonic speed in nonuniform media it is necessary to take into account the effect of the nonstationarity of the problem on the flow parameters. In particular, as the results of experiments [1] show, at Strouhal numbers of the order of unity the unsteady effects are important in the problem of the motion of a body through a temperature inhomogeneity. In a number of studies the nonstationary effect associated with supersonic motion in nonuniform media has already been investigated theoretically. In [2] the Euler equations were used, while in [3–5] the equations of a viscous shock layer were used; moreover, whereas in [3–4] the solution was limited to the neighborhood of the stagnation line, in [5] it was obtained for the entire forward surface of a sphere. The effect of free-stream nonuniformity on the structure of the viscous shock layer in steady flow past axisymmetric bodies was studied in [6, 7] and for certain particular cases of three-dimensional flow in [8–11].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 175–180, May–June, 1990.  相似文献

Unseparated viscous gas flow past a body is numerically investigated within the framework of the theory of a thin viscous shock layer [13–15]. The equations of the hypersonic viscous shock layer with generalized Rankine-Hugoniot conditions at the shock wave are solved by a finite-difference method [16] over a broad interval of Reynolds numbers and values of the temperature factor and nonuniformity parameters. Calculation results characterizing the effect of free-stream nonuniformity on the velocity and temperature profiles across the shock layer, the friction and heat transfer coefficients and the shock wave standoff distance are presented. The unseparated flow conditions are investigated and the critical values of the nonuniformity parameter ak [10] at which reverse-circulatory zones develop on the front of the body are obtained as a function of the Reynolds number. The calculations are compared with the asymptotic solutions [10, 12].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 154–159, May–June, 1987.  相似文献

Flow of a viscous fluid past a permeable sphere is investigated in the Stokes approximation. An example of such a flow is flow past a perforated or meshed spherical surface. The elements of the sphere contain rigid impermeable sections and openings through which the fluid can flow. The interaction of the sphere with the flow is described by two drag coefficients, which established the connection between the flow velocity of the fluid at the sphere and the stress tensor on it. The dependence of the flow pattern and also the drag and flow rate of the fluid on these coefficients is investigated. In special cases, the obtained solution describes flow past solid and liquid spheres.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 165–167, September–October, 1982.  相似文献

In studies devoted to the theoretical and experimental investigation of longitudinal flow of a viscous fluid past corner regions, a corner formed by the intersection of two planes is usually considered [1–3]. In contrast, the present paper is concerned with the flow in the neighborhood of the line of intersection of a plane and a concave cylindrical surface (see Fig. 1). The asymptotic behavior of the Navier-Stokes equations at large Re is investigated for such a flow. Estimates are obtained for the velocity and characteristic scales of the flow. It is shown that curvature of one of the surfaces qualitatively changes the pattern of the longitudinal flow of a viscous fluid past a corner. The development of a three-dimensional boundary layer on a plane in the domain of influence of a concave cylindrical surface is considered.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 160–165, March–April, 1981.  相似文献

The flow of incompressible gas containing particles past bodies of simple shapes at moderate and high velocities is investigated in [1–5], in which the flow of the carrier medium is assumed to be irrotational. The estimates made in [3] for the neighborhood of the stagnation point show that it is necessary to take into account the viscous boundary layer in the case of fine particles. In the present paper, the viscous flow of a gas suspension over the front surface of a sphere at Reynolds numbers R = 103–107 is considered. It is assumed that the carrier gas is incompressible and the particle concentra ion negligibly small. The influence of the boundary layer on the particle trajectories and the deposition of the disperse phase on the surface of the sphere is investigated. It is shown that there is a wide range of flow parameters for the gas suspension in which the influence of the boundary layer is important. The limits of this range are established.Translated from Izvestiya Akademli Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 59–66, January–February, 1982.I thank Yu. P. The problem of flow past a permeable cylinder at low Reynolds numbers is of interest for the solution of a number of problems in chemical technology in, for example, the design of porous electrodes and porous catalysts and in the calculation of nonstationary filtration of aerosols by fibrous filters. In the present paper, we solve the problem of transverse flow of a viscous fluid past a continuous cylinder in a porous shell and, in particular, in the case of a porous cylinder under conditions of constrained flow (system of cylinders) and an isolated cylinder at arbitrary permeability. The analogous problem of Stokes flow past permeable spheres has been solved in a number of papers [1–3].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 122–124, November–December, 1979.  相似文献

The basic laws of viscous homogeneous gas flow at high supersonic speeds past smooth blunt bodies with a permeable surface are investigated within the framework of the thin viscous shock layer model. An efficient numerical method of solving these equations, which makes it possible to consider cases of flow past bodies at angles of attack and slip, when there are no planes of symmetry in the flow, is proposed. Some results of calculating the flow past a triaxial ellipsoid with an axial ratio of 103n73 at angles of attack =0–45° and slip angles =0–45° over a broad interval of Reynolds numbers are presented as an example. The effect of the principal determining parameters of the problem on the flow structure in the shock layer and the surface friction and heat transfer coefficients is analyzed. An expression for calculating the heat fluxes to the impermeable surface of smooth blunt bodies in a supersonic homogeneous viscous gas flow over a broad interval of Reynolds numbers is proposed on the basis of the solutions obtained and the results of other authors.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 150–158, March–April, 1989.  相似文献

The possibility of using the hypothesis of quasistationarity for a pulsating laminar flow of viscous fluid in a capillary has been tested experimentally. It is shown that for the given parameters the use of this hypothesis leads to a satisfactory agreement between theory and experiment.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 175–176, May–June, 1982.  相似文献

The three-dimensional supersonic flow of nonequilibrium dissociating air past smooth blunt bodies on whose surface heterogeneous chemical reactions are taking place is investigated within the framework of thin viscous shock layer theory. An economical numerical method of solving the equations with an improved order of approximation with respect to the normal coordinate is employed. This method does not require the preliminary solution of the Stefan-Maxwell relations for the diffusion fluxes and makes it possible to calculate flows that do not possess a plane of symmetry. The effect of the angles of attack and yaw, the catalytic reaction model and a number of other parameters of the problem on the pressure, heat flux and equilibrium surface temperature distributions is analyzed with reference to the example of flow past a triaxial ellipsoid.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 143–150, January–February, 1990.Tha authors are grateful to G. Three-dimensional hypersonic viscous gas flow past smooth blunt bodies in the presence of injection or suction is considered. The effect of the nonuniformity of the approach stream on the shock-wave standoff, the flow structure and the friction and heat transfer coefficients is investigated with reference to the examples of flow from a supersonic spherical source and flow of the far wake type. It is shown that this effect depends importantly on the Reynolds number, the nature of the nonuniformity and the shape of the body.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 136–145, November–December, 1987.  相似文献

The flow around the afterbody of a plate of finite thickness in a supersonic gas stream is investigated on the basis of a numerical solution of the time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations for a compressible viscous heat-conducting gas. The change in the flow pattern with the onset of transverse slot injection from the body surface in the vicinity of the base section is studied. For constant supersonic injection, both steady and unsteady flow regimes could be obtained depending on the values of certain relevant parameters.Moscow. A numerical investigation by means of the Navier-Stokes equations is used to solve the problem of the flow of a viscous perfect gas over a step at subsonic and supersonic velocities of the undisturbed flow and different Reynolds numbers. The dependence of the resulting separation flow on the parameters of the undisturbed flow is investigated. The gas-dynamic characteristics and the size of the separated flow are determined. The results of the calculations are compared with the experimental data of Chapman et al. [1].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No 5, pp. 72–79, September–October, 1979.  相似文献

In the framework of the locally self-similar approximation of the Navier-Stokes equations an investigation is made of the flow of homogeneous gas in a hypersonic viscous shock layer, including the transition region through the shock wave, on wings of infinite span with rounded leading edge. The neighborhood of the stagnation line is considered. The boundary conditions, which take into account blowing or suction of gas, are specified on the surface of the body and in the undisturbed flow. A method of numerical solution of the problem proposed by Gershbein and Kolesnikov [1] and generalized to the case of flow past wings at different angles of slip is used. A solution to the problem is found in a wide range of variation of the Reynolds numbers, the blowing (suction) parameter, and the angle of slip. Flow past wings with rounded leading edge at different angles of slip has been investigated earlier only in the framework of the boundary layer equations (see, for example, [2], which gives a brief review of early studies) or a hypersonic viscous shock layer [3].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 150–154, May–June, 1984.  相似文献

In the framework of the Navier-Stokes equations, a numerical solution is found to the problem of longitudinal (axisymmetric) flow of a viscous perfect heat conducting gas past a cylinder with a flat front end at subsonic and transonic velocities of the oncoming flow. The flow in the neighborhood of the corner of the cylinder is investigated and a study made of the occurrence and development of detached flow along the side of the cylinder. Tie heat fluxes to the surface of the cylinder are determined, and the influence of the temperature of the wall of the cylinder on the development of the separation is found. The investigations yield the critical Reynolds number Re0 for the occurrence of a detached flow as a function of the Mach number of the oncoming flow for the investigated bodies.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 3–10, March–April, 1979.I am grateful to Yu. High-Reynolds-number plane steady flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past small distortions on straight-line walls intersecting at a point source is considered. The flow regimes are investigated in detail for a near-critical diffuser opening half-angle, when the skin friction is small. Solutions with local separation zones are obtained. The dependence of the skin friction on the Reynolds number is determined for transition to streams with a large region of reversed flow.Moscow. The results are given of an investigation of the flow parameters in an induction plasmatron and of heat transfer on water-cooled models in subsonic jets of dissociated air in the range of pressures p = 5·103–1.0·105 N/m2. The obtained experimental data confirm the well-known theoretical conclusion that the catalytic activity of the surface influences the heat fluxes at low pressures when the boundary layer flow is nonequilibrium. The problem of the flow of a subsonic jet of a viscous heat-conducting gas past a model of cylindrical shape with flat end has been solved numerically. The experimental and calculated data are compared.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza., No. 6, pp. 129–135, November–December, 1983.We are very grateful to Yu, K.
